If there's ever an AA7, I would want the tutorial case to be Kristoph Gavin's first case, defending a teenage Apollo Justice on a murder accusation. This is before Gavin went for the forged evidence route, but he's still clearly ruthless and very much pissed that he's stuck defending this dumbass teenager in the middle of an edgy phase as his first client.
In the first part of the case, Apollo is incredibly cagey about where he was and what he was doing during the murder, so Kristoph has to drag it out of him. Turns out, he was trying to get an illegal tattoo (the mark of the Defiant Dragons, actually), with a faked ID and everything, but only got the outline done when everything went down and the artist tossed him out of the shop, since they didn't want to get done in for tattooing a minor. It's why Apollo's all hunched over like a scowling delinquent since the tattoo is on his back, and since getting arrested, he hasn't been able to care for it properly, so it hurts like hell.
Somehow, it ends up being a key part of the case and helps find the true culprit. Apollo swears to Kristoph that he'll clean up his act after being acquitted. And cut to the official start of AA7 cutscene, Apollo's putting back on his shirt, a fully done in Defiant Dragons mark with playing card and Khura'inese design motifs all around it on his back

they def send each other baby pictures back and forth (and simply do not realize the babies are Identical) and call each other and joke that all babies cry the same (uh huh.)
the fleurys send them matching baby care packages, for the deweys jokes of it all, not even cause they are making a twin joke (yet. the jokes will come) and the little matching onesies picture comparisons still don’t crack that open (for the deweys. the wild gc? who’s to say)
god hi okay ive been thinking about this all day because: yes cute dewey wish babies and yes the deweys are going to be oblivious and stupid about it and yES flower would send them both little baby rompers with wildflowers on them but also think about the timing of all this because:
duhaime gets a few days to prepare himself for what is inevitably going to be a trade. he talks to his GM. he brings a bigger suitcase on the flight. he says his goodbyes at mullet arena. he flies out to denver knowing he will see his friends again the next day and its weird and its sad and its new but its ultimately not all that surprising.
he shows up to the hotel and the avs team mgmt has made sure there's a little note saying "welcome to colorado, duhaime" and there's some team merch and a snack waiting for him. and the hotel room is too clean and too quiet and duhaime texts his friends and goes to bed early for a lack of anything better to do and the next morning the hotel staff informs him that there's a car waiting to take him to the rink and also there's a baby and that is a surprise.
so he shows up to the rink with a baby and when his old team comes over the next day he shows boldy who, of course, tells everyone else and they all pile into his hotel room and the baby pukes on moose's shirt and all the dads give duhaime all kinds of contradictory advice and the baby is held and cuddled and passed from faber to flower to kaprizov to hartman but not to Connor because he is.. not there.
and connor does NOT get any time to prepare himself. he says goodbye to his best friend, then one day (???) maybe two days (???) later he gets the call after the deadline has already passed. after he thought he would get to say. and has 20 minutes to just.. grab whatever is within reach, say goodbye to only two people and fly to a different country.
he gets to toronto and its a whirlwind and there's a thousand introductions and high fives and welcome to toronto´s and then there is a baby.
and connor, of course, is alone in a city where he KNOWS the spotlight is on him. where he knows everything he says or does or doesnt do will make the morning news. so Connor does what he thinks is the best thing to do in this situation and he just.
doesnt.
tell.
anyone.
and its a busy few weeks full of new faces and experiences and it would've been exhausting and all consuming even without the heartbreak and the infant and the sleep deprivation that comes along with it.
and the whole world knows about duhaime and the wishbaby and what that means.
and no one knows about connor.

Every time I see another show get renewed I get aggravated we haven’t heard about S7. Normally it’s far too early to worry about such things. But this isn’t a normal tv season. Also a lot of shows have been renewed early on so far from other networks and some on ABC. We’re only 3 eps in so I know I should be more patient. I have a good feeling we will get this announcement. But does anyone have any insight on what the holdup for S7 announcement is? It’s been their top streamer for Hulu almost every week this season. It’s a popular veteran show. Feel like that makes it a no brainer IMO.
Should I just chill and be more patient? Its not my strong suit LOL Also this mini hiatus has my brain thinking extra on things I probably shouldn’t. Haha I know part of this is just me overthinking things. *sigh* Just needed to rant and see if anyone in this lovely fandom of ours had any TV insight to why ABC dragging their feet with it.
