i headcanon that tord did science in highschool and did so well he got an award for it. edd was the only one that seemed to care. he took that to heart, not negatively for the people who didn’t but for edd always being there for him.

i imagine then tord just out of like realisation tears up a bit and hugs him. edd assuming because he’s proud of himself for getting the award and of course hugging him back. but in reality tord is proud and honored to know someone so great.
