Montana mountains are ridiculous and dangerous because they look mostly not steep but that is an illusion they're very steep and have cliffs where you don't expect
#elite ranch#my sense of fear is completely whacked#absolute rabbit terror at not being able to articulate religious principles during a discussion#but just nothing at the absurd hikes we put ourselves on when we're not necessarily prepared our qualified#no visceral response at all#a mild annoyance#and recognition of the inevitable slog#this is the most practical emotional response because there's nobody for miles and you really do have to just cowboy up#and walk your horse because if it got spooked by the thunder or lightning on that steep mountainside#you wouldn't want to be on it#abby just says 'this is danger' and we all chuckle and slog through it#in a manner that would just curdle your scout master#and i have to process the subconscious emotions the next three days#because i never felt them#i think my body already knows adrenaline does not significantly help me in physical feats so it gave up#somebody tell it adrenaline is also not helpful for socializing and testifying
