AITA? Last year I (30 M) found out my boyfriend (30,0000,0000 M) of 3 years was working behind my back with a mafia boss who had repeatedly threatened me and my family's lives and also did kill my close friend and her mother. I was there and it was really traumatic for all of us involved. At the time my boyfriend wasn't very sympathetic but he's also autistic and didn't know much about "people skills" yet which is something he's worked on. He's been more sympathetic about it since, and I thought it was a non-issue between us. But then a few months ago I found out he's been working with the guy who killed them behind my back and lying to me about it?? When I found out, he said he didn't have another choice because he's gunning for this new promotion at work and needs this guy's support to get it. And he's saying that if he doesn't get promoted to CEO, the whole company is gonna go under and all his coworkers will lose their jobs. I didn't think that was an excuse though, and we had a big fight and ultimately broke up.

Now I feel like a total asshole though because my ex has basically been having a nervous breakdown ever since, and he's killed a whole bunch of people and I feel like it's my fault. The people kind of suck though so I'm not that worried about them, but my ex is the sensitive type and I know he's gonna be totally wracked with guilt if he ever comes back from the whole murder spree thing. So yeah AITA?

tldr: My ex worked with a guy who killed my friends to get a promotion so I broke up with him. It drove him crazy and now he's killing people and I feel really bad about it because I still love him a lot. IDK I kind of want to get back together with him. I think this is all my fault.
