a/nthony c/arrigan has not been my fc for over half a decade now, but that scene in gotham where jim goes "You can try (to kill me)" and victor gets all eerie and replies "I don't try and I never stop. You won't see me coming and you won't feel a thing." was the most maulcore thing

#i stopped watching gotham after like 2 seasons bc i just couldn't take it or the acting seriously but #if they made a movie or tv show or something about maul set during his apprenticeship there's still a part of me that would want anthony to #be cast as him #AND NOW YOU MIGHT THINK I'M CRAZY FOR THIS but. just based on his acting in barry i would think he could do a good job with maul (with-#-the right directing) which sounds nuts because noho hank is arguably the comic relief (in a comedy show) but #IDK I JUST THINK HE COULD DO IT #if he can make me take hank seriously while doing that ridiculous accent he could do maul #i also feel like it would actually be an advantage that he has the experience of doing comedy bc a movie or series about maul could easily #get so heavy or hard to sit through if there isn't at least a bit of comedy sprinkled in. it doesn't have to be heavy-handed either #MY VISION IS STILL BENICIO OBVIOUSLY but that's based on his roles in like. the 90s and early 2000s and as much as i love even benicio's #acting in recent films you obviously couldn't really cast him as a 20 y/o maul anymore
