ok so i have fallen of the wagon... (i mean genshin i cant drink)

I wrote this at night so I'm sorry if i sound a bit depressy

You had always known it would eventually happen, but you didn't expect it to hurt this much.

You certainly didn’t think he would’ve done it when you were engaged.

Ever since the Traveler had arrived, you found yourself spending more time alone, Kaeya either working or helping Lumine with some commissions. He started returning to your shared home later and later, and almost always drunk.

You couldn't even feel mad at him, after all, being Captain of the Knights of Favonius must be demanding, but you couldn't help but feel a little neglected.

At first, the feeling of neglect only nagged at you once in a while, but after a few weeks, the little thoughts turned into concerns, gnawing away at your worries.

The first time you confronted him about it, was when he didn't return the entire night.

"Kaeya, are you alright? I didn't see you all night; I thought you died or something!" You questioned jokingly. He had arrived on your doorstep, dishevelled and clearly drunk.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just had a little too much to drink last night. I passed out on Diluc's couch." He said, massaging his forehead. (i mean assuming that would happen idk)

"I'm glad you're okay. Go lie down, I'll make you some herbal tea." (idk any hangover cures so)

But you knew for a fact that he wasn't at Diluc's, (cuz you were there last night 😏🤭jkjk) because, in your panic, you called almost everyone you knew, asking if they had seen your fiance, and Diluc voiced his concerns, as he hadn't seen him all night either.

"Well, I don't know whether I should believe him or not, I mean he is obviously hiding something." You whispered, almost in tears.

"If I know Kaeya, he's definitely up to no good," Diluc said, pouring a glass of warm water for you.

"You’re not helping Diluc. I think I'll just give him the benefit of the doubt. What I don't know can't hurt me, right?" He simply smiled pitifully, as you gulped down the water.

A few months later, you visited the tavern, a glass of wine in the cusp of your hands. And who should be there but your lover, with a bottle of beer in his hands, and the Traveller, drunk and on his lap, her lips red as your Kaeya kissed her, his hands tangling with hers, wandering her body, when it should have been yours, shivering under the fleeting velvet touch of his fingers.

It must have been a dream, a bad nightmare, but when you pinched your skin, you realized that it wasn’t.

To be honest, you weren't so surprised, as you had your suspicions but never wanted to admit it. Stone-faced, you paid and thanked Diluc for the drinks before walking back to your home in the rain. Stripping your soaked coat off, you packed your bags, stuffed your belongings into a couple of canvas sacks and threw them onto the couch.

Hours later, Kaeya stumbles back into your home, the same dishevelled look he wore all those months ago when you first suspected him of hiding a secret romance.

"Hello, Love," he slurred, cornering you behind the door, "Tell me, what do you feel like doing right now? Because I know what I want to do."(if you get it, then you get it *wink*😳🤫ok but this is supposed to be sad so...) He whispered in your ear, a sultry tone playing on his lips as they brushed on the skin just below your jaw, and you hated the way your skin tingled, even as you had just witnessed him doing the same to another girl.

How could he?

Did he have no shame? It had only been a couple of hours, and he already needed pleasure from another?

He lifted his hands from the wall to drape them around your waist when you finally snapped and shoved him off you.

"What's wrong, Love?" He reached for your hands, but you stepped back from his grasp.

"You can stop calling me that because we both know very well that you don't love me anymore." You curled your hands into fists, glaring as you blinked back tears from your eyes.

"What are you talking about?" He questioned, crossing his arms across his chest.

"The Traveller? Does that ring a bell?" He scoffed in response.

"Her? Lumine? She’s just a friend! I don’t know why you’re getting so worked up!" You shook your head.

"Oh, really? I beg to differ. I know about you and her,” His eyes widened.

“You’re crazy! I would never–” but before he could make up excuses, you pressed a finger to his lips, silencing him, “Listen to me for a while. I’ve had my suspicions for a long time, but I loved you too much to spoil our relationship, but I guess you did that for me. You know, I never regretted anything Kaeya. I’ve loved you for many years, even when we were just friends. And even as you flirted with others in front of me, I ignored it. Even when we drank too much and got married in that bar, I was content. Do you know why? Because you were with me.” You were yelling at the top of your lungs, tears streaming down your flushed cheeks.

“Baby, I didn’t–”

“No, don’t give me that crap. See, for the last few months, you disappeared after dark. Oh, you thought I didn’t notice? I’m not as oblivious as you think, Kaeya. But even when you came home hours later than usual, I still turned a blind eye because I really believed that you would be decent enough not to pursue anyone else when you were with me. And when I saw you today, in that bar with the traveller, your lips on her neck, I realised that maybe I am just not enough. She’s pretty, adventurous, strong, and much more entertaining than your predictable, boring, ordinary Favonius wife. I’m not even surprised, Kaeya. After all, you’ve always had a certain attraction to daring escapades. I may not be surprised, but I’m still disgusted.” You walked to the couch, drying your tears as you slung your bags over your shoulder.

“I’m leaving.”Just as you reached the door, you drop your bags on the floor, turning to Kaeya.

“I may understand why you did it, but I will never forgive you. Just know that when you find that one person that makes you feel safe, and happy, and loved, I will pray to the Archons to take them away from you. And only when you have hit rock bottom, and your heart has turned back into stone, will you understand how much you’ve hurt me.” You whisper, a pitying expression on your face as you slip the gold ring off your finger and drop it into his hand.

“I would say I wish you the best, but then I would be lying.” You kissed his cheek as you wrench the door open, leaving him shocked and dumbfounded as to how he could have hurt you so badly.

“Goodbye, Kaeya.” The door slams, and it takes him a moment to realise that you’ve left him, alone in his house.

Ironic isn’t it? The man who managed to charm everyone is the man who feels the most alone.

Omg i didnt know you play ikevamp that one is my first ever otome game aside from ikesen 😳😳😳😳👋 who is your fave, if i may ask? hehehe.

According to the app I started playing 237 days ago, and that means I must’ve started Ikemen Sengoku and Ikemen Revolution about 200 days ago. And then I’ve been playing Ikemen Prince since launch. I know they’re cheesy and formulaic and sometimes problematic, but I do love them despite it all. I’m so glad to learn that some people who follow me are fans!

And my favs for Ikemen Vampire are probably Arthur and Isaac, though I admit Vlad has my favorite character design. Arthur’s story is really compelling (and somewhat relatable in a way which is not the best thing but I digress) and his VA (who I found out is also Childe’s VA go figure he’s my favorite Genshin character) is absolutely amazing and what sold me on Arthur truly. I didn’t expect to like Isaac cause tsundere’s but his story was really sweet and vulnerable and if he were real he’d be a good partner I think. Vlad is just, very pretty and has cool lore idk.

And as for Ikemen Sengoku I have fallen head over heels into Kenshin adoration, and honestly he’s probably my favorite Ikemen character period. I thought I wouldn’t like his route - though I did think he was the prettiest character I’m sensing a theme - because of the yandere trope but honestly it’s a pretty solid exploration of mental illness especially in a somewhat cheesy otome game. And I thought seeing him struggle throughout the story with this fear and obsession and self loathing was really compelling.

For Ikemen Revolution so far it’s Edgar and for Ikemen Prince it’s Nokto, though idk if you play those thought I’d throw them out there. Thanks for giving me an excuse to rant talk about these characters anon and hope you’re having a lovely week!
