Law Runners Au ! Max
Tumblr media Tumblr media
au where QM kicks the bucket and max takes over the job of camp campbell's ground keeper ! i don't see max willingly coming back to camp campbell..so he returns not out of a want but because he kinda has to? neil created a biohazardous substance that ruined the local eco system of the city he was living in and it made it inhabitable for humans to live in. and now he's wanted by the government. and since max was a close accomplice, he's wanted by the feds too ! they get caught at some point, and nikki manages to bust them out of jail before they can be given any sentence. so now the three of them are on the run from the law !! what do they do ? hide at camp campbell, the place in the middle of no where, where no one can find them. its perfect !! why didn't anyone think of this before? (oh wait cameron campbell already did. but that's beside the point). i still need to draw up some neil and nikki sketches for this au ! honestly I'm kinda having fun thinking of whatever hijinks they'd get up to now that they're older

So uh. I have this stash of random Pokemon cards that are just different energy types, items, locations, and people. Yes, they are all real pokemon cards, no, I do not do anything with them
Probably not gonna do it, but I had this thought, of just,,,, what if I put random draws for those on my Ko-Fi? Like, drawing a certain amount of cards at random for a certain price (20 random cards for $1, for example). I'm not sure if Ko-Fi would even let me do that, but it's literally the exact same thing that people do on other websites where you can buy and sell stuff. Idk, I've never sold things online before
It's a dumb idea, and again,, probably not gonna do it, I just remembered that I had a bunch of them and already know they'll probably end up sitting around in a Ziploc bag collecting dust. People who are big into Pokemon stuff and actually playing the card game with physical cards might like them, but I don't think I'd ever do anything with them, personally

Third Person Pov:
Tumblr media
“May-day! May-day! Air ambulance two reporting a collapse at the 710 interchange. Firefighters down. Repeat, firefighters down!” A voice comes through Maddie’s coms, making her quickly answer the distress call.
“Air ambulance two, this is dispatch. Can you reroute to assist?” Maddie asks before pausing, waiting to get an answer.
“Negative. We have a priority spinal transfer,” the voice solemnly tells her.
“Do you have a visual on how many firefighters are down?” Maddie asks and there’s a long pause as she waits for the information.
“All of them— the entire 118. They were on the upper span when it collapsed. They all went down,” the voice tells her in a very worried tone and Maddie’s heart drops.
Her mind immediately goes to thoughts of her fiancé, brother, and sister-like friend, worried for all three. Her heart beats wildly and suddenly she can hear it in her ears as she types up details on her computer. Tears cloud her eyes for a moment and she tries to will herself not to cry just yet.

Y/n’s Pov:
I groan as my alarm goes off and roll over onto my back to look at the ceiling. It takes me a few minutes, but soon I’m reaching over to my phone and turning it off. With one last sigh, I push myself up from my bed and start to get ready for the long shift I have to work.
Once I’m ready, I grab my backpack as well as my morning hot cocoa and keys. I quickly make my way out into the hallway of the complex and lock my door. Just as I lock the bottom lock, I hear Buck’s door open and shut.
I turn to him and let out a giggle when I see the pure exhaustion on his face. He locks up his door before turning when I giggle and he smiles.
“You must have had a lousy night, E. You really look exhausted,” I say, using the nickname I’ve had for him forever with humor laced in my tone.
“Ugh, not exhaustion. More annoyance at the two idiots that won’t make up,” he replies with a roll of his eyes before we both start walking out.
“I’m sure they’ll make up soon, bubs. Just give it a little more time,” I try to reassure him and he hums, shaking his head at me.
“Sure. Then maybe I won’t have to deal with Kamron needing me 24/7. Or the smell of pickles. She keeps needing me to open them. Never did I think I’d hate pickles,” he rants with a roll of his eyes and I giggle again.
“You definitely won’t and I’m sure you’ll like pickles again soon,” I joke with him as I playfully hit my arm against his.
“Anyway, wanna carpool to work today?” he questions me, now changing the subject.
“Sure, why not. Anything to hang out with you a little more,” I joke as I bump my arm into his again and he shakes his head, chuckling.
“As if we don’t already hang out everyday,” he playfully scoffs and I shrug.
“No, we definitely don’t,” I playfully deny and he chuckles, shaking his head.
“Ok, dork. Let’s go. Bobby will kill us if we’re late. Again,” he remarks and I giggle.
“You got that right,” I agree with him as I roll my eyes while we walk out to his car.
“Breakfast on the way?” he asks and I smirk.
“You buying?” I ask him with a raised eyebrow and he groans.
“I wouldn’t have offered if I wasn’t,” he playfully growls out like he’s angry when I know he indeed isn’t.
“Then hell yeah. I'm hungry,” I tell him and he groans.
“Don’t be like Kameron now,” he says as he rolls his eyes and I laugh.
“What, pregnant? E, I don’t know if you know how that works, but I kinda need to have some relations before that, and you know I’m not seeing anyone right now…” I playfully tell him and he shakes his head.
“Of course I know how that works? You know I didn’t mean that. I mean, I was a sex addict, remember?” he asks and I giggle, letting my eyes go wide jokingly.
“Oh I vividly remember, Mr. Do it on the rooftop of the firehouse. Dumbass,” I joke as I smack his arm and he rubs it.
“Well, what would you have done?!” he fights back and I laugh.
“Not on the rooftop, that’s for sure,” I joke back and he rolls his eyes.
“Whatever. Let’s just get the food and get to work,” he tells me and I giggle.
“Awe, E, I’m just messing with you!” I inform him and he shakes his head.
“Yeah, yeah. Let’s go, you Gremlin,” he tells me and I giggle, smiling softly at the use of my nickname Buck had given me when we were younger before we split up to get into his Jeep.
Tumblr media
“Okay, 118, let’s gather ‘round and settle in. We have some outstanding tasks from our last shift and I’ve got an important announcement about our upcoming weather conditions,” Bobby announces, making me and Buck, who's up on the truck, sit down with our legs hanging off the side.
“So cute, huh? Oh, wait. I promised her I’d wear it all day. Take a picture so we can…” Chimney talks with one of the other firefighters as they walk out of the locker room.
“Firefighter Han,” Bobby calls out, cutting Chim off and making him look up from the play ring on his finger.
“I was gonna save this until the end, but why not make it the first order of business? Congratulations on popping the question,” Bobby announces as he uses his clipboard to point at Howard.
“Yeah, Chim! Whoo, whoo!” I shout out as everyone else claps while I shake Buck.
“Ok… ok… a little less shaking, there,” Buck comments as he pushes me lightly, making me giggle softly.
“Didn’t she do the proposing?” I quietly whisper to Buck, who chortles and nods.
“She finally made an honest man out of him!” Ravi shouts as he grabs Chimney by the shoulder and shakes him lightly.
“All right, everybody. Let’s settle down. We still have to get to the weather update,” Bobby calls out and all the laughs die down.
“All right, apparatus maintenance. Firefighter Diaz will be running point this morning on engine service. We’ll be doing an oil change and a brake fluid change,” Bobby explains as I yawn lightly and lay my head on Buck’s shoulder.
“Tired?” Buck quietly questions me and I hum at him.
“Didn’t sleep too well last night. Tossed and turned all night. Don’t know why, just had a weird feeling,” I whisper back to him and he smiles softly before wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
“Hmm, comfy,” I mummer out as I cuddle in closer and he chuckles softly.
“Eddie?” Bobby calls out, making us all listen in. “Yeah, cap?” Eddie asks nonchalantly as he looks at his phone.
“Did Eddie finally find someone?” I quietly question Buck, who shrugs.
“He didn’t say anything to me if he did,” Buck informs me and I sigh.
“Then why’s he staring at his phone like a lovesick puppy?” I query and Buck gives a small ‘huh,’ before shrugging.
“I guess maybe he did. He’ll tell us when he’s ready,” Buck comments to me and I cross my arms.
“I wanna know now. We’re the three musketeers. Two musketeers can’t just be left in the dust by the other,” I whisper as I cross my arms, pouting and Buck chuckles.
“You and that impatient ass of yours,” Buck comments and I give him a playful smirk.
“And you like this ass of mine,” I joke with him, wiggling my eyebrows at him and he shakes his head.
“Can’t say I don’t,” he plays right back and I giggle before we both turn back to listen in.
“Apparatus maintenance,” Bobby pointedly comments as Eddie moves into a different sitting position while closing his phone.
“I’m on it, Cap,” Eddie promises and Bobby nods as Buck’s phone vibrates.
He quickly silences his phone, but it vibrates again and again. He groans quietly and presses the answer button.
“Okay. All right, now for the weather update,” Bobby starts as Buck puts the phone up to his ear.
“Uh, hey, listen, I-I can’t… I can’t talk right now. No, I can’t. Kameron, I don’t know why he’s calling you. Maybe if you answer the phone you’ll find…” Buck talks into the phone and I smirk as Bobby turns around.
Booby walks over to us on the truck and looks up at us. He gives me an irritated questioning look and I just shrug, making him look at Buck, who trails off.
“You're in trouble…” I jokingly mutter out as I try to hold in my giggles while poking his side lightly.
“Umm, I got to go,” Buck tells her and I hold back a giggle at his ‘oops’ tone before hanging the phone up.
“Uh- s-sor… sorry, Cap. Um…” Buck stutters out his apology, but Bobby just ignores him and turns back around.
“Alright, folks, listen up,” Bobby again tries to get to the point.
“Uh, Cap?” Ravi questions, holding his hand up and Bobby gives him an unamused look that tells him to go on.
“Can I just say, if Buck needs to get the pregnant lady out of his apartment,” Ravi starts and Buck hops down off the truck before turning to me to help me down real quick.
“I do have a two-bedroom that’s about to be on the market, so…” Ravi finishes as Buck and I walk towards him.
“Thank you, Ravi! Maybe a discussion for another time,” Bobby humorously chides as everyone laughs a little bit.
“118, it’s time to dial it in,” Bobby starts to try and corral us in again.
“We have a Job to do, but in order to do that job, you have to be here. I need precision, I need focus, but most of all, I need you to be present,” Bobby pointedly announces as Hen cautiously walks in and around him to take a seat.
“Sorry I’m late, Cap,” Hen quickly apologizes as she sighs.
“Okay! Let’s get cracking,” Bobby finishes before starting to walk off.
“Hey, wait. What’s the important weather update?” Chimney asks as Bobby walks past him.
“There’s a moderate marine layer,” Bobby answers, unamused as he continues to walk away.
“I’ll see you for lunch?” Buck questions and I nod in confirmation.
“Yeah. That is, if we don’t get a call before then,” I promise him with a small smile.
“Don’t jinx it,” Buck jokes, pointing at me with a chuckle.
“Ok. I’ll see you in a-” I start, but the alarm sounds and Buck groans.
“You jinxed it!” he shouts, throwing his hands up and I giggle.
“My bad…” I reply with a shrug and he shakes his head.
“Come on, dork. Let’s get into our gear,” Buck tells me with a grin.
We both rush over to our lockers and start to put our gear on before running over to the truck. Buck hops in on the left side as I hop in on the right and we get into our seats as Bobby starts to pull out of the garage. Bobby drives throughout town before coming up to the scene on the bridge. Once the engine comes to a stop, we all quickly pile out and get to work.
“Hen, Chem. Check the driver of this camper van,” Bobby orders as he points to the van.
“Buck, y/n Eddie, Ravi, I want you guys to check these surrounding vehicles for injuries. Let’s go,” Bobby commands and we all give him a nod before rushing off.
Buck, Ravi and I walk around, making sure there's no more injuries. Once we deem there are none, we walk back over to help. We stand back as Chimney and Hen communicate with the girl inside.
“Cap, second victim in the back. She didn’t have her seatbelt on when the accident happened!” Chimney shouts as he looks around the side of the van.
“Okay, these back doors are obliterated. I want you guys to pull that windshield,” Bobby commands, making Hen and Chimney nod.
I quickly rush back to the engine and pull out the windshield suction cups as Ravi grabs the pry bars. Once I have them, I rush back to the van with Ravi in tow. I hand the suction cups to Hen as Ravi gives the pry bars to Buck and Eddie. Hen quickly places the suction cups on the windshield and pulls as Buck and Eddie use the pry bars. Once it comes off, Hen quickly passes the windshield to Buck, who takes it and sets it aside.
“All right. What’s your name?” Hen asks the frightened girl softly.
“Jo,” the girl cries out her reply.
“Jo. Can-can you move?” Hen questions the girl and she looks down at her leg.
“Um, I don’t know. It’s my leg. I think it’s broken. Um, please help her!” Jo cries out again as she looks up at Hen and Chimney with tears cascading down her face.
“I'm on it, Jo, but I need to get back there, so we’re gonna pull you out. You might feel a little pain, okay?” Chimney calmly explains to her and he moves aside for Hen to get in a bit more.
“Buck, can you carry her to the ambulance?” Chimney queries and Buck nods, moving behind Hen and getting ready to grab her.
“Okay! Ahhh!” Jo agrees before screaming out in pain as they move her. She cries as they pull her out of the vehicle.
Buck quickly lifts her up and carries her over to the back of the ambulance as Chimney moves into the van. Hen quickly stands up and pushes me along with Buck.
“Go help him look her over. You have more medical training then he does. I’ll stay with Chim,” she commands me and I nod before rushing off behind Buck.
I quickly help Buck get her down on the floor so I can look over her leg. In one fast fluid motion, I pull out a tourniquet-like brace and start putting it on her leg along with Bobby’s help as they wheel a gurney over.
“Cap. We’re going to need an air ambulance. Patient is unresponsive, breathing is weak and she’s lost bladder control. Could be a spinal,” Chimney explains over the radio as we continue to work on Jo.
“Copy that,” Bobby replies as we start to prepare Jo to get her on the gurney.
“Spinal injury? Is she okay?” Jo asks me in fear and I look at her.
“We won’t know until we get her to the hospital,” I inform her as they bring the gurney closer, now ready to get her up onto it.
“Please, please don’t take me now because I need to see her,” she begs as she grips my hand and I pause as Hen walks up.
“Hey, hey. You’ll be able to before they airlift her. I promise, okay?” Buck promises her before Hen or I can say anything.
Eddie walks past us with the backboard, headed towards Chimney and we quickly move Jo onto the gurney. Jo keeps a grip on my hand and I squeeze hers before letting go.
“Don’t worry. You know the firefighter that told you you’d see her?” I ask her and she nods in understanding.
“That’s my best friend. I know when he promises something, he keeps it. You’ll see her just like he said,” I promise her softly and she gives me a small thankful smile as she seems only slightly less freaked out.
“My name's y/n. I’ll stay here till your mom’s out, okay?” I tell her and she smiles a thankful smile at me again.
“She’s not my mom. She’s my mom’s best friend. My, uhh, mom passed away three years ago. Mallory was insistent we take this trip as an honor to my mother…” Jo explains to me and I smile softly at her.
“I’m sorry to hear about your mom. You're very lucky to have Mallory. That sounds like a lovely plan. I’m sure you two can pick up when everyone is okay again,” I try to comfort her to the best of my ability and she shakes her head.
“No. I think we’ll find a different way of traveling,” Jo informs me and I nod.
“I would probably do that too. Nothing wrong with that,” I agree with her and she nods in agreement.
We wait maybe a few more minutes until we see Chimney come out first. Then Eddie pushes Mallory out and together they lift her backboard onto another gurney that was taken over to them. They then start to roll her over and I move over next to Hen so they can roll her next to Jo.
“She’s right up here,” I hear Chimney inform Mallory as they get closer.
“Okay, she’s right up here,” he repeats himself as they get closer.
“Mallory!” Jo shouts when they get closer before coming to a stop right next to her.
“I’m so sorry,” Jo apologizes as they both reach out to hold hands.
“I can’t lose you, too,” Jo continues on the verge of tears and I feel tears well up in my eyes.
“I’m not going anywhere. We still have a lot of ground to cover, okay?” Mallory asks her as she squeezes her hand.
“Next time, we’ll take the train,” Jo insists quickly as the others start to load her in the back of the ambulance as air support flies overhead.
“Air support. You are clear to land,” Bobby gives the okay through his walkie and soon the helicopter is landing.
Eddie and Chim start to walk her over to the helicopter and I let out a puff of air as my emotions take over. I take my jacket off in hopes a little air is all I need. I quickly try to sober up so I don’t start sobbing before I feel a hand on my back, making me turn to see Buck next to me.
“Hey. You doing okay? You’re getting fidgety,” he queries with a raised eyebrow and I shake my head before nodding.
“Yeah. No. I’m fine. Just had a flashback to my sister, that’s all,” I inform him and he nods solemnly at me.
“I know. She’s watching over you. You know that,” he solemnly tells me, trying to comfort me as he rubs at my back and I nod, sniffling.
“Thanks for checking on me,” I say in gratitude and I only hope Buck knows just how much I’m thankful for him.
“Always, you know that we stick together, right?” he asks me and I smile.
“Right. Stuck together like glue,” I reply to our life long promise we always tell each other and he smiles, nodding.
“Okay. I’m gonna go help Chim. We’ll talk more about this later, okay?” he questions me and I nod.
“Yeah. Go. Go. Do our job,” I agree with a soft smile and he nods before rushing off.
“Possible spinal! She’s coming over now!” I hear him yell to the air tech that gets out of the helicopter.
“Can’t get rid of me, can you, Buckley?” I hear her voice and I immediately recognize Lucy. Red hot jealousy flares up in me, but I push it away.
“Great to see you again, for real this time!” I hear Buck shout back as he stops to point at her and I huff, rolling my eyes.
He turns and walks back towards me, but only frowns as I brush him off. I walk over to Bobby just as Eddie walks up.
“Hey, Cap, think there’s a propane stove in the van. I’m gonna go check it out,” Eddie explains to him as he walks up to us.
“Good thinking, Eddie. Y/n, go with him,” Bobby commands me and I nod.
“Actually Bobby, can I have a quick moment with her?” Buck asks and Bobby shakes his head.
“I guess. One minute, then back to work. Got it?” Bobby asks and Buck nods.
“No, yeah, I promise,” Buck informs him and Bobby nods before walking off.
“Hey, what’s up. Why are you giving the cold shoulder?” Buck asks as he looks at me.
“It’s nothing, Buck, really. Go back to work,” I play it off and he sighs in frustration.
“Y/n, I thought we talked about closing up? Talk to me, you know you can,” Buck begs me and I shake my head.
“Buck. Nothing is wrong, it’s just a hard case. I told you I’d talk with you about it later,” I deflect away from what’s going on.
“No. I know—” he starts, but gets cut off as the bridge suddenly starts to shake as it cracks down the middle, making both me and Buck fall to the ground with me on top of him.
There’s more shaking and creaking as the bridge slowly starts to collapse. Buck looks up and suddenly he’s rushing to get up, pulling me with him.
“Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey! Let’s move!” Buck yells out as the ambulance comes flying back at us and Buck quickly moves both of us out of the way just in time.
“Hey!” he continues to shout as the ambulance rushes past us, quickly crashing at an angle.
Buck quickly maneuvers, but somehow he gets pulled down with the ambulance, making me go with him. He smashes into the ambulance’s windshield and it cracks.
“Buck!” I yell out as I fly past him, but he doesn’t reply.
I let out another scream as I come to a landing on a slab of concrete, hitting my head in the process. Pain surges through my side, but I don’t notice it for long as suddenly everything goes black.
Buck’s Pov:
I groan as I come to, still laying on the windshield that’s now cracked from me smashing into it. There's a quiet, eerie, metallic creak and it takes me a moment to realize where I am. When I do, I take a moment to push myself up on all fours. I look around in fear for y/n, but there’s no sign of her, so I look into the ambulance next.
“Hen!” I yell out as I see my friend still strapped into the driver's seat of the ambulance, now unconscious.
“H-hen, can you hear—” I ask her as I bang on the window.
“118, report in. I need a headcount,” I talk into my radio, hoping to get any answers.
“I’m grabbing the ropes,” Ravi radios back first as I look around, trying to assess where everyone could be.
“I’m in the van. Pretty sure I broke a couple ribs, but this van is about to get pancaked,” Eddie groans out as he radios in and I keep looking around with no sight of y/n.
“Okay. Eddie, uh. We’re coming to you,” I inform him before taking a pause.
“Han. What is your status?” I ask into my radio before letting go to get his status.
“Han, come in,” I practically beg over the radios when he doesn’t answer.
“Han…” I question again and wait a moment.
“Han here,” Chimney finally radios in and I throw my head back in relief.
“Captain Nash, firefighter Maysen, still haven’t heard from either of you. What is your status?” I ask into the radio again, only hoping to get something but nothing comes.
“Bobby, y/n. Come in,” I repeat through the radio again, but still silence.
“I see firefighter Maysen! She’s on a slab near you, maybe twenty feet away, just covered by some rubble,” Ravi explains to me through the radio and I sigh in relief.
“Is she under it?” I question and wait for a moment.
“No. She’s just close enough to be hidden. She’s out, though, and there’s one other thing…” he voices again though the radio before trailing off.
“What? Is she okay?” I question him and he takes another pause, making me wait with bated breath.
“She’s been impaled by a piece of rebar, Buck… right though the side of her stomach. I- if we don’t get to her soon, she might bleed out,” he breaks it to me easily and I sigh, putting my head down for a moment.
“I’ll get to her as soon as I get Hen and the others out,” I inform him as I make the hard decision to wait, even though I want to rush over to her first and get her out.
“Ok… only if you're sure. You're acting captain right now,” he informs and I let out a huff before pressing the button on my radio to reply.
“Yeah, I know. So everyone’s safety is on me right now. Luckily if I can get Hen awake, she can take over. Let’s get to work,” I command before letting the button go, letting out a sigh, and looking down at Hen again.
“Hen. I’m- I’m coming to you. Just stay right there,” I tell my unconscious friend before I move off the windshield and down the side of the ambulance.
Very slowly, I make my way to the window and try to shove myself though it. The ambulance starts to tremble as I do, but I keep going.
“Hen?” I call out to her as I pause for a moment.
“Chim. Chim! Chim, you back there?” I shout out as I finally slide though the window of the ambulance.
“I’m alive, but not great,” Chimney calls out in a winded tone.
“Okay,” I pant out as I move over to Hen.
“Come on. Hey,” I voice as I try to get Hen to wake up.
“What happened?” Hen questions as she looks around, confused.
“Bridge collapsed,” I inform her and her head starts to fall back.
“Hey, hey, hey. Hen, you with me?” I question her and she squints at me.
“I’m good. Thank you,” she conveys to me as she starts to reach towards me.
“You okay?” she asks as she wipes at the side of my forehead.
“Yeah. Oh. Uh… I mean, physically, yeah,” I tell her, my emotions betraying me ever so slightly as I feel a lump form in my throat.
“Where is everybody?” she asks me as she continues to clean my face.
“R-Ravi is up top. Eddie’s in the van. Chimney’s in the back. He needs our help. I’m gonna go up top. Get the ambulance secure. Then we get you out, okay?” I explain to her before asking if she understands. She slowly nods before letting her head fall back a bit.
“Okay. Where’s Cap? Where’s Bobby? A-and y/n…” she suddenly asks as she quickly lifts her head straight.
“He’s MIA, and y/n…” I pause and take a deep breath.
“She’s currently bleeding out maybe twenty feet from us,” I inform her and she just stares at me.
“You, uhh… y-you’re sure you’re good?” I ask her one last time just to make sure.
“Yeah. I… I’m-I’m good,” she stumbles out in her shock and pain.
“Just get some rope so we can get out of here,” she commands me and I nod before starting to try climbing out.
“Okay, Ravi, I need a line,” I grunt as I call out while climbing out of the window.
I get about halfway out the window when Ravi throws the rope down to me and I slowly finish pulling myself out. I hold onto the ambulance as I grab the rope before using it to climb back to the front. Once around the front, I continue to climb up the side until I can pull myself up to the top. Ravi hands me a part of the rope and I quickly slide under the engine, tying the rope to the underside of it. I quickly rush back to the side and let out a puff of air when I see what Ravi had seen before.
The van is under the ambulance and both are close to falling. I let out another breath and close my eyes when I see y/n. She is indeed impaled and blood pools around her as she lays unconscious.
“Buck, we’ll get to her,” Ravi promises as he puts a hand on my shoulder.
“Yeah. I know. I’m not letting her go out like this. Not yet. It’s too early and there’s a lot that needs to be said,” I inform as I promise myself in my head that if we make it out, I’ll tell her how I really feel.
“And it will be said,” he agrees with a head nod before going back over to the truck.
“Please tell me you made it, Cap,” I whisper to myself as I look out over the scene again.
“Okay, Ravi. Let’s go!” I shout to him as I turn around, ready to scale the concrete.
“118, LAPD on scene at the lower level and here to assist,” Athena’s voice comes over the radio just as I hop over, ready to scale down to Hen.
“118? Captain?” she asks in a scared tone when she gets no response from her husband.
“Hen! That’s you!” I yell out to her, leaning back a bit.
“LAPD, this is Wilson. Captain Nash is unaccounted for, we also have one impaled and unconscious. I’m in command. Anything you can do to help survivors on the ground level would be appreciated, ” Hen replies over the radio as I start to quickly scale down with a harness bag.
“Copy that!” Athena quickly replies again over the radio.
Once I get down to the ambulance, I set the bag on it and I get closer to the front of it. I quickly tie the rope to the car and pull on it ever so slightly.
“Hey, Ravi, tension!” I call out to him and I wait a moment before leaning against the ambulance.
I bounce on it a couple times to see how stable it is and smile when it comes out very stable. I quickly climb back to the top of the ambulance and pull the harness bag in front of me.
“Okay. Hen, you got a harness and capture strap. Take Chimney and the patient, you send them down,” I explain to her as I throw the strap and harness in the window to her.
“I’m headed to the van. Then I’ll get y/n. I’ll see you at the bottom,” I inform her of my plan before getting off the ambulance and heading to Eddie.
It takes me a few minutes, but soon I make it to the van. I come to a stop next to it as Ravi looks over the side.
“Sending down the saw!” he shouts to me before dropping me the saw bag.
“Okay, Eddie, you in there?” I ask as I pause and listen in and he gives me a small ‘Yup’ through his groans of pain.
“Let me get these doors open. Just shield your eyes,” I inform him before I pull the saw from the bag along with the protective glasses and start to saw at the door.
I work for a few minutes at the door before soon I can start to pull at them. I pull one open and groan as I pause, taking the glasses off to look in at Eddie, who’s trapped under the fridge looking up at me.
“Hey,” I pant out as I hold onto the door.
“Any sign of Cap?” he huffs out as he struggles to breathe and I shake my head.
“How’s y/n?” he asks and I sigh.
“Currently, she’s bleeding out. I’m getting her next,” I inform him and he nods.
“Sorry about this,” I apologize as I move closer to him and grab his arms.
“Yeah. It’s gonna suck,” he comments before I pull on him.
I pull him out and he yells out in pain as I do. Soon I’m pulling him out of the van all together and he grits his teeth.
“Okay, I got you,” I comment as I pull him out and quickly we’re climbing down so he can get medical.
Once he’s down standing on his own feet, some other paramedics come over to us. They get Jo first and Hen groans as she leans over before puking.
“Hen!” Eddie yells out as we watch her double over.
“Hey,” Eddie tells me before we both rush over to Hen, who lays flat on top of the truck she’s on.
“I’m okay. I’m okay. I’m okay,” she groans, waving us off.
“I’m okay. I’m pretty sure I’m just concussed,” she explains as she sits up and moves her helmet.
“We got to get Chimney and y/n! We got to get Chimney and y/n!” she suddenly yells out as she looks back up.
“No. Hey, hey, hey. We’ll get Chimney and y/n. Let’s get you down. Come on,” we both try to stop her as she groans.
“Come on down. I promise I’ll get him and y/n,” I inform her as we all reach out for her.
“We got you. We got you. Come on. No rush,” I rant as she finally starts to try and crawl down.
“Okay. Come on. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go,” Eddie chants as he wraps her arm around his shoulder while she pants out of breath.
“Eddie, you got her, yeah?” I ask and he nods, giving me a small ‘hmm’ as they continue to walk.
“Okay. I’m going back for Chim and y/n. I’ll be back,” I promise and he nods.
Just before I turn, there’s another loud, metallic creaking noise and we all turn around. My eyes widen as the ambulance starts to shake around and the van starts to look like it’ll fall any second.
To Be Continued…

Ok well I'm not above doing this. I need help paying for my sleep study so I can get a cpap.
A couple weeks ago I finished an at home sleep study and took the equipment back to the sleep lab to analyze. Friday I heard back from them with results. My test was so bad and my sleep apnea so severe, they're skipping the in-lab sleep study and ordering a cpap machine which I need to pick up in 3 weeks.
At my lowest points while sleeping I get down to 77% blood oxygen level. Prompt medical care (hospitalization) is needed for levels below 88% as this is considered dangerously low, and levels under 70% are life threatening.
Basically, every night while sleeping, I stop breathing repeatedly throughout the night, cutting off oxygen to my brain over and over again. A cpap machine would force my airways to stay open while I'm sleeping so that i can continuously take air in and continue to supply oxygen to my heart and brain. I've been untreated for over 15 years and have basically lived in a fog for most of that time. Untreated sleep apnea can and will shorten my lifespan; getting a cpap machine can and will extend it.
*insurance is not covering the sleep study itself.* I have no idea if it will cover all or even part of the machine. my savings has already been decimated by other life events. I've been trying to save for top surgery as well, but medical issues keep cropping up and right now I have nothing that I can borrow from.
Tl;dr I am broke, but I need to come up with at least $800 for the bill for the sleep study, so that I can even pick up a cpap machine in a couple of weeks. At that time they may bill me more for the machine itself.
If anyone can pitch me a couple bucks I'd appreciate it. https://ko-fi.com/damascus - I have a PayPal but I don't want to put my email and name out there publicly, feel free to message me if you need it. I don't have any other venmo/cashapp etc.
Thank u in advance to anyone who's able to donate or reblog, I appreciate the help

Ok but Buck getting jealous and making sure the other guy knew you were his

In the past, Buck Cleven never considered himself to be a jealous person.
That all changed after he met you.
You were the one bright light for Buck during the war, the one person who made him determined to survive each mission and, what confused him about you was that you wanted him as much as he wanted you.
You and Buck were tucked away in a corner of the hall while everyone around you were drinking and celebrating another successful mission, watching Bucky sing and dance on the little stage that had been set up. You would have thought that anyone looking in on you two would have seen that you were together, the way the two of you were sitting so close together, Bucks arm slung across your shoulders and your heads close together as you spoke. So, when Buck got up to get you a drink and one of the other pilots asked you to dance, you agreed.
When Buck came back and saw that your chair was empty, his head automatically turned to find Bucky in the crowd, expecting you to be with him, only to find Bucky’s eyes trained on something ahead of him.
‘You seen (Y/N),’ Buck asked as he made his way over to his best friend. Bucky’s eyes shifted to look at Buck before nodding back in the direction he had been looking.
‘New guy, slid into your seat the second you got up and asked her to dance. You know she’s too nice to say no.’
Buck slapped his friend on the back in thanks and made his way through the people to where you were dancing with the other pilot. The moment you saw him heading your way, he felt smugness flood his body as a look of relief filled your face, the feeling disappearing instantly when the man you were dancing with tugged your waist slightly, making you turn back to face him. Reaching you, Buck wrapped an arm around your waist and smoothly yanked you away.
‘What’s happening here?’ he asked, staring at the other guy while his grip tightened on you slightly.
‘Tim saw that I was sitting on my own while you went to get me a drink and asked if I wanted to dance,’ you replied for him, reaching up to press a quick kiss to Buck’s cheek.
‘Yeah, the lady looked lonely, so I thought I’d keep her company,’ Tim said and you watched as Buck’s eyes narrowed slightly.
‘Well, you’ve done your job,’ Buck said, sarcasm playing lightly in his tone, ‘so you can go now, thanks.’
Tim nodded at Buck and said goodbye to you before disappearing in amongst the people again, leaving you and Buck standing on the dance floor. As soon as he was out of eye sight, you couldn’t stop the small giggle from escaping your lips and you moved around until you were standing in front of him, draping your arms over his shoulders as he held you close. ‘Was someone jealous?’ you teased, looking at him with a smirk playing on your face.
‘Just didn’t like seeing anyone else with their hands on you,’ Buck murmured in reply, leaning in to kiss you.
‘Then how about we dance, make sure everyone knows that they don’t need to ask me to dance if they see me on my own?’
Buck hummed thoughtfully for a second before beginning to walk you backwards slowly, away from everyone else. ‘I have a better idea on how we can make everyone realise that you’re mine.’
Your eyes flashed when you understood what he was saying and you pulled him down into a deep kiss before beginning to drag him out of the hall. ‘I like you’re thinking, Major.’

Up to Standards (Arsenal Women Academy Story) Part 3
In which you get your Arsenal Academy debut and get a visit from a guest.
Tumblr media
You were training with Arsenal 3 times a week, played a match every Saturday and went to a recovery session straight after. It was intense.
Luckily, the girls were as nice as Peter had reassured, and you’d fit in better than you originally expected.
Your mum had been working extremely hard to get you an agent, and was currently working on terms to get you signed with volante sports.
Everything seemed perfect, until Saturday came round.
Nerves. An overwhelming amount.
It was your first game day with the gunners, and you felt drastically more apprehensive on the day than you had throughout the week.
“No Mum, I’m serious. I can’t play” you uttered to her in the car, clad out in your full arsenal kit.
“Of course you can” she responded without taking her eyes off the road.
“No, I can’t.” You hadn’t experienced anxiety like this in years.
You always knew at Fulham that you were one of the best players, but at arsenal, you were average. If you made a mistake here, you feared that your coaches would regret all the money they spent on your transfer.
“Do you have two feet?” Your mother asked.
“Yes”
“Then you can play” she explained, and you let out a defeated sigh. It was clear she wasn’t gonna turn the car around.
Eventually, you pulled into London Colony and parked the car. “Look, Y/N. Arsenal brought you here because they saw how well you could play, all you need to do now is show them again. Even if you don’t today, your contract gives you six months before it’s reviewed again. That’s a lot of games to show what you’re made of.”
You finally managed a small but genuine smile and you felt a few of the butterflies disappear.
“Thanks, Mum.”
“Now off you go, I’ll come out to watch later when you kick off because there’s no way I’m standing outside in the cold for an extra 30 minutes.”
You picked up your backpack from the floor and hopped out of the car, having to dodge the puddles as you were still in your sliders (muddy boots were completely banned from the car at this point).
You pulled your phone out your bag and checked the pitch info which read:
PITCH 2, KO 14:00, MEET AT 1:30
Pitch 2, where the hell was that?
“Y/N, you’re going the wrong way!”
Your head was turned to see one of your teammates calling your name. You ran to catch up with her, stepping in multiple puddles as you did so.
“You really should watch where you walk” Eliza stated, letting out a chuckle at your soaked socks and you inability to remember directions.
“Yeah, I know.”
The two of you hadn’t really spoke before. Eliza was a centre back, you a midfielder. Although maybe it was better to interact with people of different positions, they were less of a threat to your place on the team.
“You nervous? Big first game.” Eliza asked. Your first game with the team was against Manchester City. They were a big club with high standards but were mostly known for their work off the ball. They would be constantly pressing to try and win the possession back.
“I’m terrified to be honest, once it starts I think I’ll be ok though” you admitted to her, as you passed a gate labelled pitch 2.
You were right on time, but most of the girls had already arrived. Coach Louise sent you straight into an extensive warm up, which had the whole team more out of breath than an actual game would.
At 13:55, you were huddled for a team talk. The captain, Freya, spoke about how we needed to manage their press effectively and remain composed on the ball. If we made the pitch bigger, the ball would do the work.
“1,2,3 Arsenal!” You all chanted and dispersed from the circle.
You were playing centre-mid and starting the game. But as you made your way into position, the nerves returned. Frantically, you scanned the parents section searching for your mum.
There she was, with her bobble hat and scarf. She gave you a cheesy smile and a thumbs up, phone in her other hand, presumably to send pictures to the family group-chat.
The game started off rocky. City had majority of possession and were showing no signs of losing that, as they continually worked the ball out from the back.
Eventually, they made a loose pass into the centre circle and you picked it up immediately. With a quick scan, you immediately knew you needed to drive forwards. Since they’d been playing from their keeper, their centre backs were split and a huge gap was left down the middle.
Within seconds, you were aware the defenders would be on you. Multiple teammates were shouting for the ball, but you took a shot. The first shot of the game.
Your boot dug under the ball, lifting it up in attempt to chip the keeper, who remained off her line. You watched it fly into the air but it it seemed too high at first to go in. A few of your fellow arsenal teammates turned around to go back into position, assuming a goal kick would be given. But it was dipping, and dipping quickly. Right as it reached the goal, it fell to the grass and rolled into the net.
1-0.
You ran in the direction of your mum and punched the air in celebration. Sure enough, she was recording. That’d definitely be on Facebook later.
All your teammates jumped on your back and your coaches high fived each other. Just like that, the nerves were gone.
The rest of the game flew by. The team scored a second from a corner before city put one tap in past your keeper. Then, for an awful tackle in the box, you were awarded a penalty in the dying minutes. It wasn’t going to be a winning pen if it was scored, but it would prevent another city goal (if they got one) from equalising the game.
You didn’t yet know who was a penalty taker for this team. It was usually you when you played for Fulham, but you watched Eliza pick up the ball and place it on the spot. She took it immediately after the whistle was blown and blasted it bottom left.
3-1. Full time.
What a pen, you muttered under your breath.
You shook hands with everyone, listened to the team talk once again and accepted the congratulations from your coaches.
“Right everyone, in a moment you’ll be free to go but there was someone else watching you play who wanted to say a few words.”
Vivianne Miedema emerged from the crowd of parents looming at the gate. She had her hands in her pockets but removed them to take down her hood.
“I’m not very good with speeches or anything but I felt I couldn’t not say something after that performance. You all dominated the game in every aspect and your determination to higher the score line really stood out to me. You should all be really proud of yourselves.” Viv spoke.
She hesitantly looked at your coach. Bless her, she’s as awkward as she seems, you thought.
“Do you have a player of the match for us?” Louise questioned.
“Uh, number 8. That goal was great and the composure it must’ve taken was even better.”
“Ah, a player of the match and a goal for our debutant. Thank you for coming, Viv. Right everyone off you go. Well done today.” Louise dismissed you all.
Everyone cleared off the field pretty quick, apart from you. Due to your Mums ‘no boot in the car’ rule, you were sat on the wet grass taking your boots off and replacing them with sliders.
Louise had picked up the corner flags and was walking towards you with Viv, they were good friends as Louise also worked as a physiotherapist when needed.
“Louise tells me your feeling a bit of pressure. You sure didn’t show it.” Viv said casually once they reached you again.
“Yeah, I just moved here from Fulham, they expect a lot from me here.” you slung your backpack onto your shoulder and stood. “Any advice?”
“Use the pressure to drive you further, all nerves do are make you work harder and perform with more precision. Carry on like you did today and you’ll have no problems.” She gave you a sincere smile and stuffed her hands back into her pockets.
“Thanks” you looked over to your mum and then back to Viv and Louise.
“Well off you go then, don’t keep her waiting.” Louise chuckled at the silence that somehow had formed and sent you on your way.
Back at home, you were writing away silently in your room trying to figure out how photosynthesis worked for a biology test, when your Mum barged into your room.
“You’re signed! Volante signed you. We are meeting with them on Tuesday. I get to bring out the fancy plates!” She exclaimed, the biggest grin on her face.
“They’re coming here?”
“Yes! Would you rather sign with Nike or Adidas? What will you spend your first pay check on? Where will you-” your mum sat down on your bed as she got carried away with excitement
“Calm down, it’s just an agency. Most girls probably already have one.” you tried to dull down her joy, but secretly you were as ecstatic as her.
“Yes but they didn’t score a banger on their arsenal debut.”
That was true.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you looked over the framed photographs that plastered your walls later that night, you started to wonder which Fulham ones would soon be replaced with Arsenal ones. You actually found yourself wanting to go to training, and wanting to see your teammates.
Could arsenal really take you all the way to the WSL?
Everybody else but you seems to think so, even Vivianne Miedema.
A/N
Sorry this was a little rushed but at leat it’s something. More parts soon😊. Hope everyone had a Happy New year!!

Pile 1: Seashells
For those of you who picked pile one. I pulled: the 9 of pentacles, the fool, the chariot, the 7 of cups, and the knight of pentacles. I see two very contrasting energies, one very grounded, and the other is very free spirited (take it how it resonates, could be you or them) Or they have a certain duality to their personality. They seem very confident in themselves, they see an opportunity, and they go for it. They are so confident that they often wander into situations without much thought (what I got with the fool card) which could benefit them or it just doesn’t. I feel like they are easily influenced, so it’s hard for them to make their own decisions (7 of cups) I feel like when they meet you, they will try not to mess things up with you, and they will make a very slow approach to you (contradicting their free spirit nature) They will see you as a grand person in their best energy, and will try to grow up a little bit in terms of their energy not matching up to yours. I see this can be in financial terms or energetically because I pulled the fool for them (can be interchangeable) and the 9 of pentacles for you. I think they’ll be confused as to whether or not they’re the one for you, but it would become more obvious as time goes by for them. I get a childlike energy for them. (Not childish, but innocent)
Pile 2: Flowers
I see a LOT of action! I pulled the empress, the 8 of wands, the tower, the knight of swords, the 9 of cups, and the king of swords! (Extra card popped out) I feel like before you meet your future spouse, there will be two options (one will be astronomically better than the other person) because the king of swords appeared next to the 9 of cups (9 of cups trying to be just like the king of swords, it’s not) I feel like the “better” option (in your eyes, the king) will try to impress you? I see that your future spouse may be very fiery, they may like debate and is prone to starting fiery debates or arguments. They may be a person who boasts, yet is very fair, intellectual, and humble. They have achieved a lot in life and they like to put their “trophies” on display. I’m getting a specific message for some. They are either really good communicators (really talkative) or they are planning on reaching out to you soon (if you don’t know them yet) I see that they may be family oriented, regarding their mother or a mother figure, or sees you as very warm and abundant.
Pile 3: The Beach
I pulled the 2 of cups, the 10 of swords, the 4 of swords, the 10 of wands, and the wheel of fortune. Very mixed energy, I get that this person can be a bit over dramatic, like they put on a show. You never know what to expect with them (wheel of fortune) but they do have a heavy past (which I’m not going to elaborate on) but despite their acts, they do deal with a lot behind the scenes. They are very hard working, and sometimes bites off more than they can chew in terms of work load. They need to learn how to relax and let go sometimes, let things flow. They mean well, and they will honor this connection. I’m seeing that someone’s angels are bringing you two together. Fate will bring you two together. They are a peaceful person in nature. They value partnerships. I saw the number 101010. You are meant to know this person. I’m hearing that this could be a soulmate or twin flame (take it as it resonates) They could love to take naps. Knows how to pick themselves (and you) up when things are not going well for them (or you) Maybe shy since some cards don’t show their face (or they’re mysterious) I’m getting that (from earlier) they may put on a show to hide their dark past or feelings. Could be physically strong.

Naps With Copia
Chapter One: A Well Deserved Nap
Other Naps: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9
For @z-xmyers 💙
Tumblr media
Papa Emeritus IV x GN Reader
These are all stand alone chapters so you do not have to read one before the other! This series came from my post about wanting to nap with Copia all around the abbey. The stories will all have gender neutral readers and soft Copia naps.
Warnings: nothing but fluffy nap time 💙
Tumblr media
He was already snoring by the time you got to his room.
You weren’t surprised. Copia hadn’t gotten much sleep the night before and judging by the increasingly irritated texts you’d received from him as the morning went on he was paying the price. The last one he had sent made your heart ache for your Papa:
I miss being on tour.
After seeing that you had resolved to making sure his one free afternoon this week was as stress free as possible. You’d gotten lunch delivered from his favorite Italian restaurant in town and you’d snuck into Phantom’s room to take back the video game he had borrowed from Copia. An afternoon of Italian food, wine and his favorite racing game was just what you thought he needed.
You debated waking him up but he looked so peaceful you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. After storing the take out in the fridge you went over to Copia and started helping him out of some of his clothes. He grumbled as you stripped him of his shoes and shirt, swatting at your hands when you attempted to undo the laces of his pants.
“Leave it, amore.” He grabbed at your hands and tugged you hard enough you toppled across him. “Sleep now.”
“Copia, I’m still dressed.”
“Shh.” You snorted as he wrapped his arms around you and rolled over, effectively trapping you between his body and the wall. “Sleep.”
“Just le—“
“No talking.”
“Ok ok, fine.” He hummed happily, burying his face in your neck. It didn’t take long before his breathing began to even out and you ran your fingers through his hair to help him along. “Sleep now Papa. I’ve got you.”
You weren’t far behind, lulled by the comfort you always found in his arms.
There’d be time for Italian food and video games later.
Tumblr media
@deathmimedream your nap is next 😉
Other Naps: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9

▪︎SUMMARY↦ Why is he following and helping you around with every chance he gets?

▪︎CHARACTER/s↦ Eclipse, Reader
Tumblr media
▪︎AUTHOR'S NOTE↦ Gago ang tagal ko nang hindi nagsusulat,, well anyways this the Eclipse wanting reader's attention, the first thing I needed to do at the poll.
I'm not really satisfied with the out come, but I wanted to post it not instead of letting it rot in my notes, and also I might not do the other fics I've planned at the poll, if i did write them then its gonna be for a long time
I've noticed that whenever i write, when I'm passionate about something I noticed that my writing looks good(?)
But when I force myself to write its basically shit, and this Fic is probably one of the few sjit fics I've written
So yea I hope you don't mind
Tumblr media
“…It’s really dark in here.. Mind if you shine your eye lights over here bud?”
The sound of metal clinking represents the movement of your very tall and lanky companion.  With it’s big bright eyes, you’re able to be see the injured Helpy trying to move it’s way towards a vent.
Here in the storage room, it’s very hard to move and see with how many piled stuff are stored in this small room. You’re surprised that He managed to cramp himself inside here.
Eclipse, your ‘new' friend has been tagging along with you ever since your shift has started.
You don’t really know why- or maybe you do. Perhaps it’s because he’s still new with his surroundings in this Pizza Plex. Couldn’t really blame him, and it’s not like you mind his company anyways. You just found it a little strange.. and maybe cute.
You went to carry the small bear in your arms, you heard a little hiss coming from the taller one. You eyed him as you put Helpy on a table.
Noticing you making eye contact with him, he grinned from ear to ear, he lets out a creepy glitchy giggle. It’s like he’s drunk on something.
Honestly though, you want to have a taste with whatever he’s drunk with. It’d be a good stress reliever for at the moment. But oh well, no matter, you have at least 30 minutes until it’s your break time. You could pull this through.
Just like what you keep saying to yourself for the previous days.
Holding the hammer up high, you gave Helpy a little warning. Knowing he’s been given the ability to feel pain and all. It’s creepy and sad knowing this bot's cursed ability is used to train newbies. You also wondered how on earth are they able to program that.
“All right Helpy, I’m not gonna sugarcoat this and tell you it’s gonna hurt just a little. It’s actually gonna hurt really bad but I need you to be brave for me ok?”
He's shaking, but he nodded his head.
“…Ok, on the count of one… two…”
You aimed the hammer a little close to his knee.
“And…Three-"
Eclipse hold the back of the hammer.
“Wha- Eclipse? What’s wrong?”
He gently took the hammer out of your hand. His other hand softly patting your head.
And immediately slammed it on baby bear bear's knee.
“OH MY GOD!”
While Helpy screamed because of the sudden pain, you screamed in fright because of how loud and painful Helpy's scream is. Eclipse took care of the situation by putting some kind of mask that emits special smoke to calm him down, and put a bandaid on his knee.
His other hand went to give him a lollipop.
You only looked at him flabbergasted. And he only smiled at you.
“Work is over.. Break now..”
One of his hands took yours and led you to the cafeteria.
.
.
.
Well this is humiliating.
You ignore the stares of your co-workers, glaring at them if they ever so much as chuckled at your current predicament.
He held the spoon filled with fried rice and chicken, the lunch you packed for yourself and tried to feed you. He’s making you look like a baby god dammit! You glared right up at him and gently smacked away the spoon. “Eclipse, you’re kinda making me look like a fool here…”
The celestial robotic tilted its head, he slowly brought back the spoon close to your mouth. His other hand  holding your chin, trying to pry your mouth open. “…ahh”
You took a grip on his hand and lowered it down where he couldn’t reach your chin once again. He didn’t seem to mind, as he gladly took your hand and intertwined it with his slim fingers instead. He began to rub your hand with his thumb as best as he could.
With a sigh, you took the spoon and placed it on your lunch box. You look at Eclipse and hold his other hand. His rays slowly started moving at the initiated contact. “Look man..” You start off, letting out your thoughts and feelings was really hard for you. You’ve never thought you’d even do it to someone like Eclipse, considering he probably doesn’t know the most of what your saying unless you explained it but.. At least he had sympathy, you wouldn’t be able to find that in most people nowadays. That’s probably why you feel safe sharing your thoughts and feelings to him.
“Eclipse…You know I really really appreciate you helping me around stuff n all but. I kind of feel like you’re just… Babying me at this point.”
He emits a low mechanical whine, you could feel the slight tightness of his hands. “…Not intentional.. wanted to help you… get work done…”
“Awwe, thanks buddy.” You gently squeezed his hands and did the same thing Eclipse did with your hand earlier. “…But are you sure that’s the only reason? I noticed that.. You’ve been a little passive aggressive with the other bots.. Whenever I focus on them instead of you.”
With your confrontation, he looks to the side and whistled out some playful toons.
You confirmed that being rough with Helpy earlier was intentional on his part.
You let go of his hands to put yours on your hips. Giving him the all knowing stare, you called to him in a accusing manner. He only grinned widely at the mention of his name. You guessed that scaring a robot wouldn’t really work considering with looks alone, he’s the scary one than you.
“…Are you jealous?”
“…no..”
“You’re lying.”
“Not lying… only fibbing.”
You scratched your head and raised a brow. “But why? Why are you jealous?”
The tall robot leaned in to hug you. You went to sit on his lap. His faceplate rotated from left to right. “…love your eyes. Better on me.. than on them..”
You snickered and brought a hand up to your face. “Oh my god.. you wanted my attention?” You  seem to get the memo as he purred in delight at your question. “..Oh Eclipse.”
You pry yourself off to stand and look at him, cupping his face with your small hands. As expected he leaned in to your touch. “You didn’t have to go through all that way just to get my attention you know that?” Seriously, he really shouldn’t have.
He caused hell to the other bots, he’s scary when he’s jealous.
“If you wanted my attention, you could’ve just asked! You know I wouldn’t say no..”
He took a hold of your hand with his, and looked at you with bright purple eyes.
“May I… have your eyes on me?” You grinned and kissed his teeth. “Of course..”
He began to stand up, surprising you by picking you up. You didn’t know where your going, but you assumed in one of the dark places where no one could find you. You’re glad you play a vital role at your job, or else you would’ve been fired with the amount of time you’ve went missing during your working hours.
You didn’t noticed, but Eclipse surely did, of a certain robot hanging from the ceiling observing him with envy.
The moon themed animatronic crossed his arms. “…So this is what our star has been wasting their time on..”
‘No fair, no fair! Why spend time with a bootleg version of us?!'
It’s as if Eclipse heard their thoughts, one of his hands gave them the rude gesture from behind.
Moon clicked his tongue. “So…that’s how you want to play…”
He’s been playing unfair for the past few days! Always sabotaging their plans so he could have you in his arms! They tried so, so many times to get your attention. Like making so many messes in the Daycare for you to help them clean it, they made gifts so they could see your flustered face, and they even broke themselves for you to fix them.
Not only did the metal prick cleaned the Daycare, fixed them instead of you- which they much rather prefer,  he stole their gifts, lying to you that he was the one who made it instead of them! He is such a big fat liar! A phoney!!
He could imagine his Sunny counter part walking around and huffing in annoyance. ‘Oh the nerve of him to do that! When I get my hands on our star once again he’ll be begging us to let him see her! And even then it’d be over my shut downed body if he ever thought I’d agree!'
The lunar jester is pretty sure the Eclipse would just control their minds to scrap themselves up, before they could even think of hiding away their star.. As much as he wanted to, he and Sun knew it’d just make you sad if you found out they’re not on good terms.
So they’re the ones who tried to give them the time he needed with you but, they’re just abusing their kindness at this point. They need to hatch up a plan to have you back in their arms sooner of later.
The moon slowly backed away by crawling. “…Hoping to see that soon…” He went back to his patrols for now.

“What do you mean you don’t know.”
Din was trying very, very hard to keep his temper.
“I mean, I don’t know, Mando,” Peli replied, hands defiantly planted on her hips. “What did you think I meant?”
“I thought I might have been mistaken,” he said. “Because I didn’t think you would let my son out of your sight long enough for him to wander off!”
“It doesn’t take that long….”
“He’s half a meter tall!” He snapped. “How fast could he be!”
“He’s quick!”
He paused and took a deep breath, trying to ignore the rising panic in his blood.
“You really have no idea where he might have gone,” Din said. “No one could have come in here and taken him.”
“No one’s been in here,” she said before she paused, frowning. “Well… there was one customer who was looking for someone to fix his speeder…”
“Do you know where he was going?” Din asked. He tried not to think about some stranger wandering off with Grogu in their arms, taking him away to trade to the Empire or who knows what.
“I think toward the marketplace,” she said. “He mentioned a farm outside of town, where the speeder was. He was going to tow it in…”
Din didn’t wait for her to continue. He set off, forcing himself to move slowly enough that he could scan the ground for any sign of Grogu. But there was no flash of green, no little clawed footprints in the sand - the area too heavily trafficked - not even a trail of things he shouldn’t be trying to get is small hands on left abandoned when something else that was bright or shiny caught his eye.
He kept running and searching, not apologizing for smacking into people or grabbing them roughly to see if what they held in their arms was, in fact, a bag and not his child. He was getting uncomfortably close to a panic - heart pounding, breaths short and shallow, head swimming - when he saw him, Grogu’s small, green body in unfamiliar arms, held close to a plush body.
“Grogu!” Din stalked over to you, all but ripping the child away from you as he looked him over. “Are you OK?”
“Hey!” You grabbed Grogu back and Din’s attention shifted from his son to you, his fists clenched. But instead of reaching to take back the kid or hit you, he froze. He wasn’t sure what he was expecting but it wasn’t… you. You were beautiful, almost shockingly so. There was something just so soft about you. Everything on Tatooine was rough and harsh, a lifetime of sand and twin suns and arid heat wore down people and buildings and ships quickly. But not you. You were like a flower that had somehow fought its way up through the sand, lush and bright and full.
“Do you know this man, little guy?” You considered Grogu carefully, a small frown on your face as you propped the boy on your hip, one of your fingers tightly grasped in his little hand. “Or is he a stranger?”
“Patu!” Grogu said, throwing his tiny arms out for Din, straining and reaching for him.
You laughed a little and looked at Din properly then, a smile on your face.
“Sorry about that,” you said, handing Grogu over. “He just toddled over to my stand a few minutes ago, I wasn’t sure where he came from and I couldn’t understand anything he was saying. I didn’t want someone just taking him…”
Grogu reached for Din’s helmet, cooing and babbling, gesturing to you before looking back to Din, his dark eyes wide.
“Thank you,” Din said eventually. “He can be a handful…”
“I can tell,” you laughed. “He ate a few things off my stand and he was only here a few minutes!”
“Oh,” DIn said quickly, fumbling for the pouch with his credits. “Let me…”
“Oh, no,” you said quickly. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that you needed to pay! Really, it’s fine. I’m just happy I was able to help him get back to where he belongs.”
You just stood there, the smile on your face slipping a bit as Din stared at you. Like an idiot. He knew he was staring like an idiot and he couldn’t seem to bring himself to stop.
“Is… is everything OK?” You were frowning a little now. “I promise, I didn’t hurt him or…”
“Mando!” Peli ran up alongside him, panting a little before doubling over, planting her hands on her knees. “Stars, just a second… Some of us aren’t used to running like that…”
“Here,” you said, reaching behind your stand for a canteen and offering it to Peli. Din noticed what you were selling for the first time, fresh fruit piled high in baskets on display. “This might help, the suns are brutal today.”
“You’re tellin’ me,” she said, gulping the water down and standing up straight again before handing the canteen back to you. “Thanks for that. Looks like you’re the one who found our little friend here!”
“Oh, I didn’t know he was yours, Peli!” You said. “When did you get a youngling?”
“He’s not mine, but I keep tellin’ Mando he should just leave the kid with me…”
“And look what happened when I did,” Din cut her off. “Five minutes and you let him wander off…”
“It’s not like he got into trouble!” She waved him off. “He just found the sweetest stand in Mos Eisley because he’s so smart, yes he is! Just the smartest little guy! Appreciate you looking out for him, can’t let this cutie run off with just anyone.”
“It was no trouble,” you replied. “He was a nice way to mix up my day!”
“Patu!” Grogu said, reaching for you. You laughed and Din sighed before passing the child off to you.
“Have any plans later?” Peli asked. “The kid likes you, you should come by. Have to get time in with the little one when you can, Mando never sticks around for very long.”
“Well that’s too bad,” you said, bouncing Grogu on your hip but looking at Din. “Always nice to get pleasant folk here in town. But sure, I’ll come by once I close up. Maybe bring him some snacks for the road, would you like that little one?” Grogu cooed and clapped his little hands. You nuzzled his cheek. “I’ll see you later, buddy. Going to give you back to your daddy now.”
You passed the child to Din and gave him another smile before saying your quick goodbyes to Peli. Din kept looking Grogu over, like he was expecting to find something wrong with him, as he and Peli made their way back to her hanger. He had to resist the urge to look back at you.
“You’re sure she’s OK to be around the kid?” He asked, finally satisfied that his son was, in fact, safe and whole in his arms.
“Her?” Peli looked at him like he was insane. “Of course she is, you think I’d let someone around the kid who wasn’t safe? Besides, meant it when I said it’s the sweetest stand in Mos Eisley. It’s not just because of the fruit, if I didn’t know she was from here I’d say she was some naive off-worlder with how sweet she is. Probably how she wound up in the situation she’s in.”
Din frowned.
“What situation.”
“She’s stuck working for the Hutts,” Peli said. “When her father died a few years back - sweet guy, just like her. He built the greenhouses she grows all that fruit in - she didn’t have the money to pay for protection. Next thing she knew, they trashed one of her greenhouses and the moisture vaporator. She still hasn’t been able to fix it all, just about every credit she makes goes to the Hutts so they don’t take anything else.” Peli sighed and shook her head. “Tried to warn her…”
Din ground his teeth, looking back over his shoulder toward your stand. How could anyone prey on someone like you? Someone so soft and sweet and beautiful and…
He shook himself mentally. He was not going to stand there and think about you, even though you’d sent a shockwave through him, sparking a kind of want he hadn’t felt in years. It would be so easy to picture it, gently pulling the linen from your body, running his hands - bare, not gloved - over every inch of your plush curves, sinking into the soft, welcoming warmth of you.
“Has anyone tried to help,” Din asked. “With the Hutts?”
“I mean, maybe not her specifically, but,” Peli shrugged. “Not like people pay up because they want to, Mando. People have pushed back. It never goes well. Short of taking down the whole operation? No help for it. But that’s life, eh?”
Din nodded once, holding Grogu a little closer.
You came by a few hours later, a small basket of fruit propped on your hip and a smile on your face even though your eyes looked distracted.
“Here you go,” you broadened your smile as you handed the basket to the Mandalorian. “I thought he might like some more. These were what he was eating most of earlier. What’s his name, anyway?”
“Thank you,” Din said. “And his name is Grogu…”
“Stupid name!” Peli called from another room.
“No it’s not!” You called back before looking at the child. “It’s a good, strong name. Perfect for you, hm?”
“Patu,” Grogu said, his tone serious. You smiled.
“Thought so,” you said.
You stayed for dinner - a barely passable soup that you were kind enough to pretend to enjoy - and played sabacc with Din and Peli. Grogu climbed into your lap and you splayed the cards out in front of him, his little hand reaching out to touch them.
“See, this is a good hand,” you said, leaning in to whisper into his large ear. He kid stretched forward and smacked his hand on one of the cards. “Good pick, that’s a high value card, a whole 10 points…”
“You’re making it easy to beat you,” Peli said, smirking across the table.
“Can’t lose when you’ve already won,” you replied. “And which one of us has the youngling in their lap? That would be me.”
“You’re just new,” Peli waved you off. “He’ll be back to me eventually.”
“We’ll see about that,” you kissed his little head. “I’ll just keep plying him with fruit, keep him on my good side.”
“Patu!”
“Exactly,” you said, and Din was so distracted picturing you aboard the Razor Crest with his son on your lap that he forgot it was his turn.
As the evening wound down and you got ready to leave, Din had almost convinced himself that he could let you go. It was the only logical choice, after all. You barely knew each other. Just because you were beautiful and gentle and looked like you might be the softest thing he’d ever touch didn’t mean that you belonged anywhere near him. The opposite, in fact. The life he led would be no good for you, it was useless even day dreaming about what couldn’t be.
You said your goodbyes to him, Peli and Grogu and Din had the unfamiliar ache of longing in his chest as he watched you go, staring at the doorway you’d left through for a few seconds too long.
“Aw kriff,” Peli groaned. “She left her shawl and I’m wasn’t planning to go to the market tomorrow…”
“Here,” Din said before he could think better of it, taking the linen wrap from Peli’s grasp. “I’ll catch her. Watch the kid for a minute. And actually watch him this time.”
“Yeah yeah,” she waved him off before turning her attention to Grogu. “Is your dad just a big shiny menace? Huh? Yeah, I bet he is…”
He thought he was going to have to track you to catch up with you but, instead, he found you standing in the middle of Peli’s hanger, staring up at the night sky. Stars sparkled over your head, the light reflecting in your eyes, and Din could see the streaks of ships leaving the atmosphere as they shot into the galaxy. You had that distracted look on your face, one worn by people with problems that took time - and muscle - to solve.
“You forgot this,” Din said, holding the shawl out and making you jump.
You laughed a little.
“Thanks,” you said. “I’m not sure where my mind has been lately.”
You looked back up at the stars, wrapping yourself in the shawl, and sighed in a sad, longing way.
“What are they like?” You asked, still looking up. “The stars. From up there, I mean.”
“Far away,” Din said.
You laughed again.
“Don’t I know it. Part of why I’ve never made it off-world…”
Din frowned.
“You’ve never left Tatooine?”
You glanced at him, a sad smile on your face before looking back to the stars.
“Never had the chance,” you said. “But I hope I will, some day. But… doubt I ever will.”
You looked at him for a moment, your eyes finding his below the vizor.
“Well, it was good to meet you,” you said. “Take care of that youngling of yours, he’s too sweet to let anything happen to him…”
You started to leave but he stopped you, his hand shooting out and catching you at your elbow, the contact with you like an electric jolt running through his body. You gasped at it, looking to where he was touching you before looking toward his face again.
“Mando…” Your voice was quiet, breathy.
“Do you really want to leave?” He asked before he could stop himself.
“Yes,” you whispered. “I want to see some of the galaxy, I want to do something I love, I want a life, a life I can’t have here.”
He could feel it then, a chance at the life he’d pictured, one that had you there with him and his son.
“Come with me,” he said.
“What?” You laughed a little. “Mando, we just met…”
“I can get you out of here,” he said, ignoring you. “Make sure the Hutts never bother you again.”
Your eyebrows knitted together.
“Did Peli…”
“Does it matter?” He asked. “I’m offering you a chance to see the stars.”
“With you?” You asked, your eyes finding his below the visor and he had the thought, again, of undressing you, of touching you, of feeling you in a way he’d never allowed himself to feel anyone else.
“Yes,” he said.
“And Grogu?”
“Yes. We can leave tonight, now, if you want it.”
You looked up at the stars again, the soft sparkle of their far away light shining on your skin.
You looked back at him.
“I want it,” you said quietly. “I want all of it.”
Din smiled below the helmet.
“Then let’s go.”
