He was ran out of Zaterra and he was working for Shang Tsung, so even if they do he had no time to actually enjoy music

So when he hears you're a popstar, he has no idea what you're talking about. You have to genuinely explain what your job is, what you do, what's a tour, what's merch, etc. etc.

Like the Lin Kuei Bros, he has no phone. He doesn't understand technology at all. He's like a grandpa fr, so his interactions with your music is slim to none when it comes to music videos

Explain it to him as many times as you want. He doesn't get it.

You have to actually show him the video on your phone. You have to show him any merch you have so he can pick whatever he wants and you can sneak it to him

Prefers you singing for him live rather than watching a music video but he watches them anyway because you're really proud of them

Like Tomas, he likes little pins or other little trinkets

Since he was in a traveling circus, he knows what performing is but you're getting paid and treated fairly which he finds fantastic

He is slightly worried tho from his time being in said circus. You have to explain that they're two different things (sorta, not really) and you're ok

Hi Sibi!!!! Ahhhh I got so behind with the chapters again 😭 work’s been quite chaotic lately and I just now had time to catch up with you and my sweet little MV babies, I missed them so much😭 but also having four chapters waiting for me it’s like a reward jdkdkkdkdkd so here goes my review in a long ask again (I’m sorry jskskskks)

Chapter 29 was so damn sweet Sibi what the fuck 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 THANK GOD the blood was just from her nightmare! You really had me thinking the worst with those out of context lines Sibi jskskksksksksks anyways everything about the chapter was so extremely sweet and lovely and GOD I love these two little idiots so much 😭 they just needed to talk! Both of them were torturing themselves thinking the other hated them,the miscommunication and the wrong images they had about the other was breaking their hearts as fast as it was tearing them apart and that’s just so 😭 I’m so glad they finally had THE TALK and realised that NOTHING will change the love and admiration they have for each other EVER 🥺 but like I said this two little lovely idiots need to start communicating their feelings in a normal way and not pushing it to the limits of Kook having to do an intervention or finally talking while being inside memories jskskkskskskss but it was so incredibly cute and lovely and just so so sweet.

I really loved how Yoongi Boongie got to show his sillier side with her 🥹 they were having so much fun with the flower crowns and then with the snowball fight, I really hope that Yoongi can now feel a little bit more comfortable with being silly with her because happiness and silliness fits him so well 🥹 and it made him remember memories from when he was a human! Happy ones! 😭 I also could hear Yoongi screaming “Medic! Hey, so here’s my lil’ mini review of Key’s second album Gasoline after listening to the whole thing twice:

Gasoline: I watched the mv first but lemme give my thoughts on the song itself. Song was…okay imo. The brass made me think anthem like Lil Nas X's Industry Baby, but it still felt like it was missing something, I dunno. So, not my fav but I know I'll like the b-sides more.

Bound: Sigh The song was kinda boring to me, wish there was more in the production. Like if you're gonna have some Awoo's throughout the song, I expect camp at this point lol like RV's RBB or EXO's Wolf. And it's Key like he'd kill the fuck outta a camp song.

Villain: Soon as the beat started I was like Ooh~, was unsure how I'd feel when it started with a rap but the chorus is niiiiiice! Love the 8-bit in the beat, just makes the song feel nostalgic. And Jeno's and Key's voices blended very well together overall ^^. One of my top top favs!

Burn: Sooo glad the chorus had some funky beats 'cause at first I was wondering why they'd put a ballad after Villain lol. Love the 'Ooh we just end up burned' parts, and the beat change for the bridge. A nice head bopping song~

Guilty Pleasure: Woah the beat immediately captured my attention haha. Feels like I should be in a car racing on the highway in some futuristic city, like neon lights everywhere, things going by too fast etc. Love the pause before he says Pleasure in this song hehe and glad that there was one last one before the song ended. This song is def top top fav for me!

G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time): Why does he almost sound off beat in the beginning lol? This is another song with a dissonance to me, like his vocal melody vs the beat. I would neeeever imagine a song called Goat to have a reminiscent, kinda sad tone to it. Didn't like it much first listen but the second listen I liked it more. Def don't think it should be right after a song like Guilty Pleasure though, should've been closer to the end or something imo. Maybe right before Proud.

I Can't Sleep: Perfect song for insomniacs. Sorry I had to lol. Song was okay, like if it came on my playlist I wouldn't mind it but I wouldn't go searching for it, y'know?. So far, I've only really liked 3 songs and am at least thankful that they were right after each other.

Ain't Gonna Dance: I immediately went Oh my gosh like not another slow song, but the dramatic 'I ain't gonna dance for ya' brought me back in. The chorus is very sexy~ Love the high note during the end of the song.

Another Life: This should've been after Guilty Pleasure imo! Love how high his voice goes in this song and the 'lift off past the moon~' part <3. First song in the album where the short rap really fit. And it has a nice dark, sensual, lowkey 80's retro synthwave beat which I wish Gasoline would've had!

Delight: At this point, I'm really feeling like some songs didn't need to be added. Like, half of these songs start with a fake-out like it's gonna be a slow song but then does a beat change and though the beat change is nice, it gets kinda predictable here. And for some reason, this song sounds like it should've been for his first solo album Face. Reminds me of Duty of Love and Easy to Love somehow. Which are real nice songs but for this album, this song and its vibe doesn't fit well imo.

Proud: Thank gosh it's not a slow-ass ballad lol. Love the rap in this, and that this song's personal for him with the lyrics he helped write. 'Yeah I'm so proud~' Love the background vocals that match up with his melody, dunno if it's all him but his voice and that deeper voice singing below him sounds so nice. Was a great way to end the album~

TL;DR: I only liked like half of the songs of this album tbh lol. Since I first heard he'd be coming back with a full-length album, I was so excited but after listening to the whole thing, I feel like some songs (literally 5) could've been scrapped and this could've been another EP. Especially with some just not fitting the whole dark, Halloween villain concept the album seems to be about. Still though, I'd rec listening to this for some of the songs and lastly, Guilty Pleasure or Villain should've been the title track imo!

Every once in a while you’d let out a sigh. “What’s wrong Darling?” He said gently grabbing your chin to look up at him. You pouted, “it’s just, well, I missed you today and I’d much rather cuddle than watch a movie.” Kyuhyun smiled. “Darling,” he stated before reaching over to grab the remote turning the tv off, “if it was attention you wanted you should’ve just asked. Come here.” Kyuhyun said helping you into his lap. You giggled as you shifted into his chest immediately melting as his hands wrapped around your waist, his fingers tracing tiny circles on your lower back. Kyuhyun brought a hand up to stroke your hair before placing a kiss on the top of your head. He held you like this for the next four hours.

Dojin: Yongtae was playing video games and you were both needy and horny, a terrible combination. Approaching his chair you called out to let him know of your presence. “Daddy I need attention!” You said attempting to climb onto his lap. “Princess please, I’m trying to finish this round. We can play later.” He was focused on his game and you didn’t want to disturb him but you craved his touch. You whined slumping to the floor by his legs. When he pulled away he took your hand in his and grabbed his jacket and phone, “let’s get my baby some food. And then we can go home and I’ll give you all the kisses and cuddles you want okay my sweet?”

Gun: Yanghyuk had asked Kyuhyun if he could take you to the amusement park with the other boys and at first Kyuhyun wanted to say no but he couldn’t tell if he was feeling particularly nice today or if he could just tell how much you needed Yanghyuk in the past few days so he agreed. You cling to Yanghyuk’s arm the whole day never once leaving his side. And the one time the boys went on a ride that didn’t have enough seats for you to join you sat on the ground and pouted. Kyuhyun rolled his eyes as soon as the ride stopped and he saw you pouting like a child. “Yanghyuk spoils you too much. You’re such a brat.” Kyuhyun said. “She’s not a brat and I don’t spoil her,” as soon as you saw Yanghyuk you got up and jumped into his arms, “she’s just really clingy and needy most of the time. Beside, I don’t mind her clinging to me. She does it all the time when I fuck her cute body into the mattress don’t you Princess?” You blushed as the other boys made disgusted groaning noises.

Avin: Donghyuk neck was buried in yours, his breathing heavy as his thrusts began to slow down. You whined when he pulled his warm body away from you. J-Kid: Jeonghoon had just got home from dinner with the boys and you had been waiting for him all day. You sat on the couch snuggled in his hoodie when he came over to you. “How was your day?” Asked quietly. All of a sudden you began to cry. “Baby what’s wrong?” Jeonghoon asked quickly holding you in his arms. “I-I don’t k-know, I just miss you and I n-need you...” you sobbed grabbing his shirt with your hands and burying your head in his chest. “Well I’m here now Baby, I’m here.” Jeonghoon brushes the hair out of your face and wiped your tears with his thumb. He smiled. “You know, you’re pretty when you cry.” As Jeonghoon smiled you began to blush. You giggled burying your head in the crook of Jeonghoon’s neck.

Jinwoo: you and the boys were in the practice room after a late and tiring night of practicing and Jinwoo, Laon and Avin left to get food which left you with the others. You hadn’t seen Jinwoo all day and you were hoping he stayed behind but when you entered the practice room Yongtae had told you that Jinwoo left to get food. You left out a big sigh and plopped yourself over both Hamin and Jeonghoon’s laps. “You’re so dramatic y/n. They’re gonna be gone for like 20 minutes can you collect yourself for that long?” Yongtae said giving you a look. “I can’t help it, I miss my baby.” you pouted. “We know you do but as soon as Jinwoo leaves the room you fling yourself on one of us. If Laon stayed behind it would’ve been him. You’re just too clingy.” Yongtae said. You glared at him until you heard to practice room door open. Laon came first followed by Avin and Jinwoo with the food. You ran to Jinwoo wrapping your arms around him as he tried to walk towards the other boys and you still clung to him as he tried too eat. “Babe, you need to eat.” Jinwoo said handing you a container. “But I missed you.” “I was gone for 20 minutes at the most, eat.” you pouted as Jinwoo gently pushed you off of him. You looked up at Yongtae who stuck his tongue out at you. Before Jinwoo could even finish his last bite you laid over his lap. He sighed and proceeded to pet your head. “I miss you too baby.”

It’s frustrating that there’s so little gifs of ENOi. I found a few new ones from the mv and I love that but there’s not gifs of each member and I didn’t want both pics and gifs. I attempted to make gifs but I guess they actually aren’t gifs cause they show up anywhere. But anyway this was rushed at the end. I wanted to get it out. I also wanted to be soft for a little longer and I feel like I didn’t make this reaction as soft as I wanted it to be. My first ENOi reaction sucks ass and I’m sorry :(

The Zayn and Becky G Aladdin song is out, the promised video, not so much. Zayn's vocals are the same English ones, only the duet partner has been changed to add Becky G's Spanish vocals. The press release tells us that, as with Zhavia, Becky G was Zayn's personal selection for the track.

The push is on to get the Two Of Us video the recognition it deserves! The write-ups by major outlets worldwide are great (Rolling Stone! GMA! and a lot of other really good ones), but the streaming projects have just begun, with hope that with enough views the video can go up for a Brit, a goal that the Brit Awards themselves seemed to acknowledge by tweeting a heart in support of the release. Helen Seamons posted an absolutely beautiful pic of Louis at the piano surrounded by empty space, and MV director Huse Monfaradi is posting enthusiastically about the video, including a personal statement about how lovely Louis is. Louis himself hit twitter to support efforts ("fucking amazing thank you") and chat with fans about tour ("trying to get everything moving double time", "gonna be a proud moment for me"), football ("Liverpool"), the new album ("more than five" songs thaaanks you don't say), and Madrid- he says he's going to play ten songs!!!!!! Ten! That's a lot of songs we've never seem him do before OMGGG.

Niall glowingly recommends "BEST FRIEND" Lewis Capaldi's new album but then smacks him down with an "I only did it cause you asked me to"; mean! He also defended his lifelong loyalty to Derby with an adorable baby Niall fan pic (it's true, I didn't mean them when I accused him of being fickle the other day, he's very consistent there), and showed off his new haircut (that length on top! yes!) and a LOOK involving bold stripey trousers, but for this evening's outing (to see Wild Youth play in London) he sported a trucker cap that said 'wise ass' on it. Also a statement piece, just in a much more literal sense.

ALSO in grey and white stripey trousers, Liam! Is this the future for us all? Will I be in stripey bottoms by fall? Dammit. Anyway Liam is in Cannes hobnobbing with the even-glitzier-than-himself and looking good! He traded the travel stripes for a bizarrely overcomplicated tux but the important thing is it WORKS, I mean truly- he looks every inch the fashionista he, I guess, is. He took pics with Rita Ora who also looked incredible. We learned he's been working on new music with producer Rami Yacoub which I'd love to hear more about, and got a pic of him (Liam not Rami) looking fully blue steel while striding dramatically down an alley with a long dark coat flaring behind him. Sherlock who?? Honestly where did Liam even get those cheekbones from, where's the soft puppy we knew?

Harry followed Tyler Johnson, a songwriter who worked on HS1. So much new music teasing, so little new music. Siiiigh. Everyone's very excited about Harry's meet and greet look (heart sunnies) upon discovering that the name of the glasses is "Lou Lou"- does it matter that they belonged to the girl he was meeting and greeting? Personally I just wanna know if that's why SHE bought them and put them on him...

Legendary Ziam video maker ILYSM is deleting, but their videos are being saved to other channels so they will still be viewable, no need to panic.

You two were on his bed, it was late evening and you just finished dinner half an hour ago. Now you were on your phone and playing the new Monsta X song for the hundreth time. Jeonghan was paying attention to the tv but bobbed his head in the beat of the song. „It‘s actually a good song“, he said eventually and looked at you when you whimpered or waved your hand for air. He wouldn‘t mind that you weren‘t paying much attention to him, he loved to see you happy. Still, he‘d lay his head on your shoulder and watch it together with you.

Joshua

„Joshuaaa! He‘s so talented! Look at that dance break, holy-“, he‘d fall on the couch next to you and watch the video as eager as you. He would probably don‘t be that talkative while watching as you but there would be a lots of ‚Ohhh‘ and proud head-shakes from him. When the video‘s done, he would giggle at your cute face, that still had that happy, excited expression on it. „Okay, one more time!“ „Yayyy!“, you‘d kiss him on his cheek and cuddle against you.

Woozi

Jihoon would be on his laptop while you had your head laid on his shoulder and watched the comeback stage performance of ‚Shine Forever‘. Every two seconds you‘d whine and sing along here and there. „Ahh I.M. Shownu, yesssssssss“, sometimes you just repeat the beat of the song. Jihoon wouldn‘t mind if you kept fangirling over them, it wasn‘t annoying and he was happy when you were happy. „Their vocals are no joke, hm?“, you asked and got a ‚Hm‘ as in ‚Yes‘ back. „And their visuals make me question if there even are people that can at least be compared to their beauty? I mean look at them, every man looks like a trashbag next to them!“, now he looked up. „Wow, thank you for hanging out with a trashbag then“, he grumbled which made you crack up. „I mean I would hang out with Jooheon but I guess we don‘t get what we want?“, you giggle and after he sighed and was ready to leave the bed, you quickly hugged him like a koala. „You know I‘m jokinnnng, I have the cutest trashbag here that ever existed!“, he tried so hard not to laugh but failed and got back on the bed.

You were at home, you on the couch and he in the kitchen and preparing a snack. The new music video of Got7 just came out and all you were doing for the last twenty minutes was streaming it and jumping around because of the video. He quietly sat next to you and saw that you only had eyes for them so he would make remarks to make you see him. „Woah, I can dance like that too.“ „I mean it‘s not even that high, have you heard my angelic voice?“, and so on. You would giggle at his cute comments and after the video was done, you kissed him on the cheek and cuddled against his chest. „I know I know, sorry that I‘m all over them but...the comeback is so strong?“, he giggled at your puppy eyes and you ended up watching the video all day.

Seungkwan

You groan loud, desperate after seeing the ‚Stuck‘ music video again. „Seungkwannnn“ „Yes? You need something?“ „The only thing I need now is holy water because“, you groan again and shove the phone in his face. „That choreo! The high notes! The rap! How?“, you whine around which makes Seungkwan roll his eyes amused. He watches with you. „Kihyun literally is the most beautiful man I have ever laid my eyes on, he‘s too perfect!“ „Hey...yesterday you said that I am the most beautiful man you had ever laid your eyes on“, he pouted and crossed his arms so you look up at him and giggle. You lay the phone away and wrap your hands around his shoulders and lean against him. „Sorry, baby, that was of course true.“ „Thank you.“ „But Kihyun is second place!“, he gasped dramatically but then laughed. „Well, at least he‘s behind me, that‘s all that I wanted to hear.“

Jun

You guys would be in the living room together just going through some channels trying to find something that seemed interesting to the both of you, which would be a much harder task than you'd think. After about half an hour you would just sigh theatrically which would make him grin at you. "You're so dramatic, let's just watch some music show or something!", he'd say which would make you pout slightly but nod. You just turned on some chart show and then finally cuddled into Jun who basically was waiting for this the whole time. You guys would lazily hum to the songs you'd know and just make some funny remarks and give compliments to the artists. After a while the song 'Lullaby' by Got7 would appear on the screen which would make you sit up abruptly again, much to his displeasure. He would let out a small whine due to your sudden absence but you wouldn't even hear him, you would be too caught up by the music video. Whenever Yugyeom would appear on the screen you would just smile really brightly and let comments out like 'Ah his voice is so nice!' or 'He dances so well, wow'. You'd pretty much have heart eyes at this point. Jun would just pout and look at you while you'd be gushing over Yugyeom. After the mv would be over you'd try to cuddle back into Jun and give him all of your attention again but he'd cross his arms over his chest so you couldn't cuddle him. "Baby, can you open your arms?", you'd ask him with a smile on your face but he would just shake his head like a small child which would make you giggle softly. "Whyyyy?" "Go cuddle Yugyeom...", he'd whisper which would make you laugh and shake your head. "No! I wanna cuddle you baby! Don't be jealous.." "but you were literally fangirling over him! Do you act this way when I'm on screen?" "No, when you're on screen I completely lose it! Ah, especially when you look into the camera like you always do... that doesn't compare to Yugyeom at all", you'd say while dramatically grabbing onto your chest where your heart would be which would make him laugh now. "Ah you really are dramatic, y/n-ah, but okay... i'll accept this.", he'd say with a smile on his face which would make you smile brightly at him. "You're so handsome baby... and your performances, damn. And when you go through your hair with your hand.." "Stooooooop", he'd blush slightly after you'd cover him with compliments, you both would end up in each others arms and just giggle, completely forgetting the music show on TV.

Hoshi

Soonyoung and you would be laying in bed both of you having your headphones in while watching some videos on your phones. Your head would be on his chest and your legs would be intertwined with his, so even though you weren't really doing anything together, you'd still be enjoying each others presences. He would be watching some interviews or the latest dance practice video to see how he could improve even more while you'd simply watch some variety shows. After a while you'd end up watching Monsta x-ray, like always, and you'd just laugh your ass off while watching them doing some weird things. Soon Soonyoung would be rather confused about why you were laughing so hard, he loved seeing you laugh but he definitely wouldn't be used to you laughing this much. He would be curious to see what made you laugh and just look at your phone, after he'd realize what you were watching he'd grin brightly. You'd stop the video and look at him with a smile. "Jooheon is so incredibly funny, I fully understand why you guys are friends, and he's also so cute and nice...", you'd simply say with literal heart eyes which would make him laugh. "I know right? He would have probably been the one that had already gotten you the album since he'd have a lot of connections. He'd just know how passionate you'd be about Monsta X and he'd love to support you. He would give you the album after he heard you talking about how much you'd want it. "Baby... you're so good to me!", you'd fondly say while hugging him tightly. You would sit on his lap and hug him tightly which would make him shut up for a second. "I'm just joking baby.. you know I actually think that you're much better than him, right?" "... obviously, look at me!", you'd just laugh at his offended expression and kiss him slightly which would finally make him smile again. "But you gotta admit that he does actually look good.", he would roll his eyes with a smile still on his face, but after a while he'd give in and nod. "I mean... he doesn't look bad, I guess.." "but you're more handsome" "Thank you, that was obvious", you'd both just continue joking about it and just have a good time.

Idols Dream: Chapter Eleven

☁️ chapter summary: Kris’ MV drops, it’s your big break and omg a giant teddy.

The music video shoot was honestly the most fun and exhausting thing I’ve ever done. Kris and I goofed around on set like two idiots but in the end after 2 weeks of constant shooting we were absolutely dead.

“That’s a wrap guys! Good job everybody and thanks for all the hard word. If everything goes as planned the video will be up the day after deadline!” The director yelled out as everybody started to get ready to leave, giving eachother praise for all the work.

Me and Kris stayed on the set and we both breathed out like a weight had been lifted off our shoulder. When we started filming the MV everything was going as planned and the date of it dropping was released. Not only was the release day made public but they also posted a few teasers on Kris’ social media platforms. Since it was his first release in a while the news spread like wildfire and now everybody is anticipating it.

Unfortunatly thanks to some clumsy folks on set the shoot took longer than expected and we were all on edge because of the possibility of it not being finished on time. We worked 18 hours straight a few days just to make up for the lost time. So when we heard the director tell us we would most likely make it before deadline, it felt like a choir of angels appeared before me.

“We did it!” Kris finally said after processing the good news, he held his hand up waiting for a high five.

“I’ve never been so stressed about a deadline before” I breath out and dramatically use one hand to lift the other to give him a high five.

“Oh trust me, there will be plently of deadlines just like this one in your future”

He probably said it to warn me or prepare be but all I feel is exitement. I’ve never been so happy while ‘working’ before. Even if the hours were long and tiring I always looked forward to being on set or in the studio. I never really believed the ‘Choose a job you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life”, but damn it’s true.

“So what now?” I ask Kris after we’d changed into the clothes we came in and started to leave the building.

“Deadline is in...” Kris checks his phone, “like 48 hours. I say we sleep until then.”

I re-count the time since it sounds so short. I look at my phone as well. Wednesday 22:25. The video is suppose to be edited and reviewed, then posted on Friday at midnight.

“49 hours and 35 minutes actually.” I smirk at Kris and he rolls his eyes but can’t help smiling.

“Smart-ass”

Kris gives me a ride home and it almost feels weird to say goodbye since we’ve been wokring together for more than two weeks at this point.

“We can take tomorrow off and just recuperate, but how about we meet back at the studio on Friday? We could watch the release together” Kris is tired as hell but still manages to show some exitement.

The video will be previewed before it releases but only by the CEO’s and editors. I’m not allowed to see it. I’m not exactly sure why but I’m guessing it’s to minimize the risk of it being leaked.

“Sounds good”

He gives me a thumbs up and I start to enter the building. I hear him drive away much slower than usual, probably because he’s as exhausted as I am. Walking into my apartment a new wave of exhaustion hits me and I zombie-walk to my bedroom, collapse on the bed and fall asleep.

The time flies by, probably because I spent most of it in bed sleeping or on my couch watching netflix and eating. Jackson couldn’t come over since he was still trying to handle the situation with his ex, poor dude has been stressing over that for weeks now. During my free day I finally had the time to call my family and Jess, I told them all about the release, the shoots, my sister interrogated me about Kris and it was just wonderful to finally talk to them again.

Friday crept up on me, I again slept through most of the day but at 16:00 I went to the studio to meet Louis and Kris. Exiting the elevator I’m met with the familiar sight of the cute receptionist.

“Good afternoon Ms (Y/L/N)” He smiled. “Are you exited for tonight?”

I hadn’t processed it yet since I’ve been way too tired to even think these past two days.

“God I don’t even know... I don’t think I really get it yet” I chuckle and continue to the studio.

I’ve been here so much there’s no longer a need to knock before entering. Louis and Kris jump out of their seats to greet me and look kinda like two happy children seeing santa on christmas.

“Guys what’s going on?” I laugh, Kris is rushing me to the couch while Louis hands me a full bottle of champange.

Louis looks at me like I just disrespected him and his entire ancestry. “What do you mean? It’s you first release ever! Aren’t you exited?”

I shrug, it’s like my mind isn’t getting it. As if the past weeks of work we’re so exhausting my brain has just shut off all emotion.

“Huh, not the reaction I was expecting. I could barely sit still when I first debuted with EXO...” Kris looks at me confused as he sits down beside me on the couch.

“Don’t worry” Louis sits down on as well. “It’ll hit her” He nods and smiles at me.

We just sit back and chill. When dinnertime came Kris and Louis start arguing about what to eat and I had to play referee and pick. They truly behaved like two kids and I can’t lie, it’s entertaining.

Midnight crept up on us. Kris’ phone started to buzz, alerting him that we were 5 minutes away from the MV dropping and I could feel my heart start to beat faster. Jess started to spamm me with texts about her refreshing the Youtube page and the situation finally started to sink in. This is actually happening. A little over a month ago I was nobody, and now I’m in an MV with Kris Wu. The worlds going to see this. This is my big break.

“Ready?” Kris turned on a projector that displayed Kris Wu VEVO onto a projector screen. As he pressed refresh for the forth or fifth time the video showed up.

Just seeing my face on the thumbnail sent a shiver down my spine. What shocked me more was the title. “ft. questionmark? But I’m not in the song?”.

“It’s just to signal that you’re someone important, and not some random model for a music video.”

I nod, I guess that makes sense. Usually people don’t really focus on anyone else than the artist.

“Not that anybody is gonna think your some random person after our run in with the paparazzis that one time” Kris chuckled, “But anyways, you ready?”

“I guess...” I pretty much whisper as I grab onto Louis’ arm as a way to make myself feel more stable.

Kris clicked and the video started to play. For the first 30 seconds Kris was the only person on screen. Louis and Kris started talking about something related to the MV but I couldn’t stop focusing on the video. Any second now... I’ll be on screen any second no-

There I was, sitting on a couch in the purple-neon lit room. The emotions I was clearly lacking a few hours ago came all at once and I felt so overwhelmed I just burst out in tears.

“Damn y’all look so good” Louis hypes us up only to realize I’m beside him sobbing like a baby.

“Hey... hey what’s wrong?”

Louis’ audible concern makes Kris turn toward me and notice my state as well. He paused the video.

“Do you not like it?”

I was too embarrassed to lift my head and too overwhelmed to say anything. I just shook my head.

“What’s wrong then?” Kris continued.

I took some slow deep breaths, trying to calm my sobbing down as they patiently waited for me to collect myself. After one last breath I finally said “I’m just... so happy”.

The boys both visibly calmed down. I dried my tears with my sleeves but they just kept pouring down.

“I’m sorry I don’t know how to stop it” I manage to laugh through my sobs.

“Now that’s the reaction I remember having” Louis pats my back. “This is totally normal, you just gotta let it out. After a while you’ll be dyhydrated”

Louis says it jokingly but a part of my thinks that’s my only option. After getting my O-K to keep watching the video Kris turned it on again. It was surreal and so rewarding to see something we worked so hard on become this complete thing.

Jess called me as soon as the video was over.

“Oh my fucking god dude” I heard as soon as I picked the phone up.

I couldn’t help laughing because I could see her shocked face in my head.

“What do you think?”

“That was...”

There was a moment of silence and due to the boys curious looks I turned on speaker.

“FUCKIN’ AWESOME” Jess yelled and we all shared some amused and proud looks. “But why does it say feat. questionmark?”

“We’re trying to keep (Y/N)’s identity a mystery for a little longer” Kris said, “Get people talking”

“Well it’s working, are ya’ll seeing the comments?”

Kris pulled up the comment section beneath the video.

The video had only been up for a few minutes but the comments we’re flooding in. To my disbelief the majority of the question we’re about me. People were speculating whether the “?” was my artist name or if it was a man hunt. They very quickly figuered out that ‘the girl in the MV is the same one from Kris’ paparazzi incident’.

“This’ll be fun” Louis smirked as we kept on reading very frustrated commenters, all trying to figure out my identity. “We won’t make them wait for too long tho. Just a few days”

“What?”

“Oh right we haven’t told you yet!” Louis and Kris share suspiciously smug looks. “You’re releasing your first singel this week.”

“What?!”

“You are relea-”

“No no I heard you I’m just-... What?”

Kris chuckled at my confusion, “We talked about it and we think you should release your first singel by the end of this week, then when the hype is at its biggest you drop another one, and then the full album.”

“Wait you guys are serious? But we’re not even close to finishing!”

“We’ve already worked that out. We’ll do it in stages, so we finish the first singel this weekend, and we’ll just drop the rest when its done! I promise it won’t take too long.”

That’s true. I picked 14 samples and we already have 12 base songs, I’ve written lyrics to 10 of them and all we have to do is finish the last bits and perfect everything. If it goes smoothly we’ll be finished within a few weeks.

“Ok I’m in.” I say after enough thought.

Louis claps his hands together, satisfied with my answer and starts to shoo me out of the studio. “Well then you better go home and sleep cause if we plan on being done we have a long day tomorrow!”

I follow their orders and go home. I’m in deperate need of sleep after my emotional explosion from before. Usually Kris and I leave the studio at the same time so he gives me a ride home. Tonight however Kris needed to stay with Louis to sort out some promotional stuff so I had to walk home. Not complaining though, the July weather in Shanghai is best at night, so a 20 minute walk is actually really calming.

Arriving back at my apartment I was again met with my apartment door being unlocked. I’ve been forgetting to lock it a lot these past few days, unsafe I know, but a lot has been going on and my brain just can’t seem to catch up.

I pray to whoever is listening that I haven’t been robbed and open the door. It’s dark and everything looks normal, I slap my wall a few times and manage to turn on the lights.

“What the-”

As I enter my bedroom, the biggest teddybear I’ve ever witnessed in real life is just sitting there, on my bed. Walking closer I find a bottle of champange in it’s lap with a little note hanging off it.

‘Hey,

Sorry I couldn’t be there for your big break. Hope the bear makes up for it.

Jackson’

Can’t lie I was pretty salty about him not being here tonight, but the giant bear did make it suck a little less. He went to Hong Kong earlier today to visit family, lucky bastard. Since Jackson, Kris and Louis are the only people I hang out with we’ve managed to get pretty close, I just wanted to share this moment with them.

I let it go and accept the bear as an apology. There will hopefully be more moments like this so why dwell. To my disappointment the bear took up way too much of my bed and I had to move it so that I could sleep. Sorry Teddy, maybe next time.

I reach for my noisy phone on my nightstand but fail miserably as I roll off the bed. Thank god for me moving that bear because it caught me and spared me from a pretty hard fall. I let my eyes adjust to the annoyingly bright daylight shining though my windows and finally look at my phone to see what the ruckus was about.

“Ooooh shit.”

My instagram notifications we’re blowing up, I was getting maybe 10 follow requests a second. My username isn’t even my name, and my profil picture is a meme, how in the actual hell did they find me?

Louis called a second later.

“(Y/N)? We have a problem.”

I feel like I remember being really hype for SOTT video and it just didn't...go anywhere???

i’m so glad you sent this ask because HERE’S WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY. talk about death below, sorry, please tread carefully! also apologies if the cut doesn’t show on mobile, this is… long. rip.

so sott is pretty much about death (harry has #confirmed as much), and i think that the music video focuses on death by suicide specifically (that’s My Interpretation, and i’ll explain my idea for this mv according to this reading). the mv operates on two pretty straightforward* metaphors: flying as being free (and flying = killing yourself; freeing yourself from the burden of living “down below” on earth, etc.), and then you have dramatic imagery of nature as a direct representation of A Man’s Anguish (aka 10000% European Romanticism. death was a big topic in Romanticism too obvs.) like the landscape is absolutely a character in this mv, too.

(*i want to stress that the idea for the mv to be simple isn’t a bad thing. i would actually make the same decision. i don’t want an elaborate mv, i want my audience to focus on the lyrics and to take them on an Emotional Journey. i want them to ANGST TO THIS.)

a music video is no movie (be it a short or full feature), but the best mvs are stories nonetheless. and with every story it’s good to have some kind of a beginning, the middle, and then the ending. like even simple mvs that feature, idk, people at a party usually have a noticeable narrative structure, too. for example: a girl arrives at a party, a boy notices the girl, tries to hit on her, they get together at the end or not. and, FUN FACT, even most of arthouse films follow the most basic pattern of constructing a narration in a film (except where a ~regular movie would explicitly show on screen something like a character death to milk the shock factor, an arthouse film might have that death happen offscreen and not be acknowledged by other characters for a while, but the death would still happen at the same minute mark as in a ~normal movie; just a simple example), but that’s a digression for another day, maybe.

sott is a long ass song that takes it sweet time to reach its conclusion (aka the bridge + final, most dramatic chorus). meanwhile in the mv, they have harry flying with the first chorus at the 1:20 mark, which leaves the remaining 4 min 20 sec with the “will he, won’t he? (kill himself)” question already answered (yes, he will). the audience already knows the ending. meanwhile the song continues to build up and build up in the background, but the viewers have already seen the big climax – he’s already been sent flying, doesn’t matter that the video cuts back to him back on the ground after that. the audience keeps listening to the song and still waits for something Big to happen because /the music/ urges them to, but they’re left hanging at the visual level.

so what you gotta do is prolong the inevitable + control the pacing. yes, it’s that simple. what i’d do personally is play with the idea of physical movement as a representation of spiritual struggle more? because, again, we don’t have to do anything complicated here. so i’d begin the mv with harry completely immobile, just lying on the ground. wide shots of nature in the beginning, have camera take a moment to find Very Small Harry Among the Big Hills and Tall Grass, etc. then some close ups of his limbs lying completely still before i even have my audience take a first look at his face. and then i’d basically make the “walking” part of the mv longer – i’d even have harry pretend to learn how to walk at first. i’d have him sit on the ground once or twice along the way, because maybe he wants to give up right there and then? then he walks some more. now’s your time to cut to those beautiful shots of nature, too. like that’s your time to show that as a director – because he’s maybe, maybe not about to give up on all of that beauty. you gotta show what exactly he’s leaving behind.

and then you have the moment from the gifset i reblogged earlier – for me it’s one of the two Money Shots™ of this mv, tbh. like it moves me so much, because it feels like a direct, 1:1 translation of that specific moment of struggle where a person is considering: am i killing myself now, am i waiting a while longer? it’s a beautiful shot, his feet touch the ground, then they don’t, and then he’s back at the ground again. he doesn’t do it yet, and the mystery is back, the audience is still left wondering. i’d do that once or twice before he’s finally sent flying for real.

i’d have him flying after the bridge! (and you can do some big, dramatic fall - maybe he’s walked to the edge of a cliff and you except him to jump and fall into the water, but boom, he TAKES OFF instead) aka around the 4:45 mark, and then you still have a FULL minute to play with footage of him under the sky. and i’d focus SOLELY on that for the remaining part of the mv, i wouldn’t need my filler footage of trees or waterfalls anymore. i’d also milk the moment that happens around 5:02 more, have it be 2-3 seconds longer maybe. because that’s my second Money Shot™ of this mv. like not to sound like a cheesy old lady, but that shit is breathtaking, bro. you can’t even see his full face at first, and then he’s looking up with tears in his eyes, but looking so fucking happy? IT WORKS. IT WORKS SO WELL. LIKE GREAT JOB, STYLES, THIS SMALL MOMENT STILL HAS ME MORE SHOOK THAN HIS WHOLE PERFORMANCE IN DUNKIRK TBH. like i get emo deadass everytime i see it.

this is a good moment to mention the sun setting in the background at the end. i love it, i’d’ve played with that imagery of a day ending/light changing in the background more, actually. i love that the day is ending (death, End of Things, etc., another simple but effective metaphor), but he’s so fucking HAPPY. he’s embraced death, he’s found solace in it. he’s leaving his pain behind/on the ground.

i’d COMPLETELY delete that footage of him running across the water, god, it RUINS THE MOOD COMPLETELY. DOESN’T FIT AT ALL. would’ve left the shot of him hovering above the water, maybe, but i’d have the water be still. like have that one bit filmed in a studio or something, i don’t care, i don’t need those helicopter waves? they kind of break the spell a bit.

and…… that’s basically it, i guess? lmao. like i said, i do like the idea behind the mv, i’d just have made it more (imho, at least) effective. like, punch that audience emotionally. yeah, he is dying. have people wait for it, so they can be properly moved when it finally happens. the end.

A/N: idk why i’m putting this here lmao i’m not a legit author but yea i wrote this a whileeeee ago in notes on my phone and just found it again and decided to post it cuz i didn’t have the balls to share it before; it’s kinda cheesy but i guess i was feeling all fluffy about John ay also pls note English isn’t my native language so if you see any grammar errors etc - that’s why. Anyway, enjoy y’all (if anyone reads this at all lmao wishful thinking)

Haechan was sat cross-legged on the living room couch, a big Lion King mug in one of his hands (that’s Taeyong's latest purchase) and his phone in the other one. In sheer attempt to kill the boredom of the off-days, he boy was watching one YouTube video after another as he took loud sips of a warm beverage. Not a pleasant scene for those who get easily irritated by slurping or munching sounds, mukbang haters. You have just finished washing up after the downside of hot-cholocate drinking culture - which was the prepration process - and made your way to the living room, where honey-skinned boy was now joined by the roomies TY Track and the-1-and-only Johnny. You stood in the back, unnoticed, and listened.

"You made hot chocolate for yourself only?" the friendly giant said in a sulky tone.

"Y/N's the one who made it." Haechan replied, not even bothered to grace Johnny with his gaze.

"For you only? Y/N, since when is Haechan your favorite!?" Johhny screamed, not realizing how close you were. You coughed to get their attention, before opening your mouth.

"Huh, psh, pffft, my-my what? How dare you accuse me of favorism, I dOnT have a favorite?" you winked at Haechan, who, what a surprise!, was actually blessing you with his attention. In response to your purposefully over-the-top dramatic acting, Mr. John Seo played heartbroken.

"AH! I can't believe you. All these nice things you've said to me, they must have been lies, and I was but a fool who believed to be someone special in your life!" he cried out, almost literally.

"Oh, don't you call me a liar, now, mister!" you replied, waving your finger at the boy. "Look... if I was gonna make enough hot cocoa for y'all, we'd need a barrel of milk." you added, less dramatically, to actually make this conversation into something more than just jokes on jokes.

"I didn't even know we had cocoa powder?" Taeyong spoke, to whom you replied:

"You didn't. I got some on my way here."

"What for, if you're not gonna make any for us..." the tall jokester said, or rather spat under his breath as if he didn't really want you to hear. Oh, but you did. Before you could reply to this snarky remark, though, a wild Mark appeared, joining this pity party.

"It smells like heaven in here." he said, with the typical, cutesy Mark smile on his face.

"Must be the hot chocolate ONLY HAECHAN is drinking." Youngho, the saltiest child on earth, said.

"Yum, I'd love some hot cocoa." Mark said, unaware of how long this convesation has been going on and how annoyed, yet amused you were feeling, especially because of John's pricesless commentary. And he just had to go on.

"Ya, tell me about it, man..." he looked at you, eyebrows furrowed, hands placed on his chest and he really did look hurt, the little actor. "I just feel so saaaaaad... like there's a hole inside of me and hot chocolate is the only things that could ever glue the pieces my broken heart together." he cried out again.

"Oh, oh, I get that feeling, too." what came as surprise, Taeyong played along.

"Yeah, and it seems like only YOU have the power to heal us, to put us out of our misery, Y/N." Seo continued. Mark must have caught up on the game, as he joined in, saying

"Have mercy on us, Y/N!" You felt like you were going out of your mind, dealing with these whiny boys who were now all gathered around you, staring at you with big pouts on their pretty faces.

"Oh MY GOD, you guys are driving me insane!" you snapped, loudly laughing (and maybe lowkey dying inside). "Yes, fine, okay, AL-RIGH-TY-YO! I will fill your whiny asses with my heavenly hot-cocoa, but boy do I pray that it'll not only glue your bRoKeN piEcEs together, but your mouths as well." you shook your head left to right at them.

"THANK YOU" Johnny said, fake crying. You were almost convinced he’s about to fall to his knees and repeat himself, but luckily for eveyone witnessing, he didn’t. You shook your head at him even more intensely.

"On one... no... on two conditions, though." all three of them looked at you intrigued as to what they'd have to do to have you bless them with your original-family-recipe hot chocolate. "First, since you're all outta milk, you have to go get some at the store and by some I mean multiple boxes because there's so many of you all living under one roof, you damn plague..."

"Sounds fair." commented Mark.

"...and two..." you smirked. "...two, you have to praise and compliment me in 3... 2... 1... Go!" And the boys did as they were told, which made it quite difficult to actually make out what the sweet words were, even harder when Haechan joined in after you confirmed he could get more hot chocolate. But then everything went dead silent as Johnny's raised voice delivered these four words,

"and I love you."

It wouldn't be that big of a deal if it weren't for the fact you two have never exchanged this confession before, as you were dealing with the friends-turned-lovers type of situation, never actually calling each other boyfriend or girlfriend, hell, never really discussing your feelings, just enjoying each other's company and all the benefits that came with it when different needs arose. The momentary silence contributed to the air becoming suffocatingly heavy with a mix of anxiety and a dash of awkwardness, as you were caught off guard with this sudden avowal of feelings, and the confessor himself appeared to be unsure. Not unsure of his feelings, as you would have thought, because it's not like you didn't care about one another in this way. He must have felt unsure of why these words rolled off his tongue in a middle of such commotion. He panicked and decided it was best to flight from the scene, and so he pretended to be called by Jaehyun. You decided to act as well, so you made the decision to get the milk in the supermarket yourself.

"Mark, Mark, let's go to 7-Eleven, the milk isn't gonna buy itself, now, is it?"

"Aye, sure." Mark replied hasily, stuck in fluster over this incident. He now was continuously wondering about all of this. He obviously wasn't with you guys all the time, so he didn't know whether you ever confessed before or what was truly going on between you - obviously, since you never talked about what you felt for each other with one another, why would you with other people. This was something no one could know but you, and the way things got so awkward just a minute ago enhanced his confusion. He wasn't sure if it was okay to talk about this or if you wanted anything but, so he kept quiet. But man, did you wish he'd start a conversation... This silence forced you to stay in your head, feeling a little panicky. You, too, felt unsure and uneasy at this moment. You surely cared about Johnny and spending time with him was truthfully you favorite way of pushing through one day after another, but love... has always been something that confused you a little, because what even is love? Too many people threw this word around like it was nothing, so how does one figure out whether it's something serious or something you can say just so lightheartedly like you’re talking about your favorite cereal? Your lifelong history of having a hard time trusting and opening up to people wasn't helping in this situation at all. And since Mark wasn't going to intiate the dialogue, you decided to do so, before you dig too deep into your anxious thoughts.

"What's your favorite music video you've done so far?" you asked to somehow break the silence, and by him raising his thin brows, you could tell he did not expect you to do so. He laughed, brushing his hair.

"Hm, that's a good question, why don't you answer it first so I can think of my answer."

"What's my favorite MV of NCT's?" you asked rhethorically, since you knew that's what he meant, so you proceeded to share the response before he even nodded in reassurence. "Gotta be the rough version of Limitless. I love the retro style too much, I love everything about it."

"Yeah, that's a good one!" he cheered. "Me, I think for now I'm gonna have to say "Boss" 'cause we got to go to Ukraine to film and that's a travel destination I never thought of visiting, but it was beautiful and so interesting."

"Ahh! I've watched the behind-the-scenes and, not gonna lie, I felt a little jealous. I love to travel." you responed.

"You do?" he continued, to which you nodded. "If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?" You squinted your eyes and held your fingers up to your chin, expressing you're thinking of an answer in movie-like manner.

"Right now, I'm feeling like... Hawaii." you finally said. He seemed so interested in your answer.

"Wah, it'd be so cool to go there some day."

"Yea, it's like a piece of paradise on Earth."

Unexpectedly, this converation initiated by you made the grocery shopping escapade the most pleasant one you've ever gone on, and Mark accompanied you even after you came back to the dorm and started making the crazy amounts of world's most comforting drink for the bunch of sulky idol kids you were so thankful to have become friends with. The living room was now filled with more members than before; sounds of a video game played by Yuta versus WinWin could be heard over a heated conversation happening between Doyoung and Jaehyun; Taeil sat alone at the dinner table, scrolling intensely on his phone; even Renjun and Chenle, who must've escaped the Dream dorm to hang out at their hyungs' place, were there, leaning over the couch behind Haechan who was still messing with his mobile; and Taeyong just joined, with a slightly-shocked expression on his face as he saw so many people gathered in one medium-sized living room. It’s like everyone was there... except for your Johnny - and that struck you with anxiety. Finishing your duty as the hot-chocolate-assosiation head chef, you poured the drink into all the cups you could find and with help of your convo-partner, served it to the others by placing it on the large dinner table and having Haechan shout "HOT CHOCO Y'ALL" as he saw you put the trace down. You went up to Taeyong to ask about Johnny jist to have him lead you to their shared bedroom, where you found the target sat on the bed, looking quite distressed.

"I made you an extra-large cup of hot cocoa so if you don't come out to join the party, it'll just turn into cold cocoa." you said with a smily expression. "And most likely end up being consumed by Haechan anyway." You made your boyfriend laugh for a second, but that quickly turned back to the colon-slash emoji expression. It was the image of someone who's seriously bothered by a mess of thoughts. And everyone knew what it was all about. He sighed before opening his mouth, letting a fistful of words hastily fall out.

"Look, I know it was so wrong or weird to say that, especially so randomly and under such circumstances and I don't even know why it came out of my mouth right then and there, and then I made it even worse by panicking and stupidly escaping, like what kind of pers-"

"And I love you, too." you cut him off, finally returning the confession. It took him by surprise, but it was a pleasant one, like when you r mum is the only person to call you on your birthday but then it turns out it’s because your friends were busy throwing you a secret birthday part. And you didn't just say those words because you felt you were compelled to do so. You meant it, as you figured it out just two minutes ago, when you stood in that room filled with too many people you dearly care about and yet felt some sort of emptiness, because he wasn't there. He appeared to be at a loss of words, which was a rare occurence for Johnny Seo. He was just smiling, looking at you, and you felt so sure now, you were in love."I always felt nervous when we kissed on those days where I'd think too much about the meaning of love, or what it should be like, what the movies and books have taught me, and how maybe I'd never be ready to open up, be this or be that, how I may ruin it all one day, this friendship, because I was careless enough to let myself cross this line and engage in romance. You see, I've never been with anyone before and it's not like I never had the chance to date, it's that I convinced myself it's better to be alone, because being with somebody is too hard, too risky, too complicated and I hated the idea of that... but it isn't like that at all with you. It's just so easy with you, on those days where I don't let my thoughts enhance the fire that lits up my anxiety, on those days where we just kiss through smiles and I feel the goddamn butterflies, it just feels so right. You and I, it feels so right, and I figured that it could be like that on all days, if I just let myself go, and it's so hard because I like control and I wired myself to believe I'm better off alone because that way I can't end up getting hurt, but for you I'd try and for you I'd take the risk. And now I realize that all of these things mean I'm, in fact, in love with you, and I love you." The raw monologue turned out better than you thought, almost free of stumbling on your own words. He listened to you so intensely through all these words, watching your lips move and your eyes wander. Without responding, he got off the bed, stood up and slowly walked up to you, gazing into your eyes for what seemed like too-long of a moment, before he finally spoke, now with calmness in his voice. No more awkward rambling.

"The only time or reason I ever felt nervous was not knowing if you feel the same way. But now I do. I always felt at ease with you, it is just so right, like you said, I just feel so happy when I'm around you and these days I'm happy a lot with the life I'm lucky to be living, but you are a different kind of happiness... and that's how I knew. And, so, I love you." Now you were the one who couldn't say anything. Your gut was burning up and a shaky smile was glued on your face."Oh, and also, when I'm horny, I can't think about anyone else but you anymore." he added and you burst out laughing, him alike.

"Couldn't let this scene be all-too-serious, could you." you laughed.

"Nope." he said, with a goofy smile on his lips.

"Well, I think all that needed to be said, was, and I don't wanna rush things... but there's luke-warm cocoa to be drank..." you joked, too, making him laugh once again. The abolute U-turn this conversation took was just the perfectly accurate image of your relationship - almost never too serious despite serious feelings."I swear, if Haechan drank it, I'm gonna beat his shawty ass." you added as you turned around to open the door and make your way to the busy room.

"Babe, I think you're shorter than him."

"No, the proper response is 'Of course I'll help you beat his shawty ass up, babe'" you sassed as a reply.

"Sorry, I'll note it down and do better next time, mademoiselle."

Secret Confession

a/n: im still way deep in my pentagon feels and really wanted to do a scenario of wooseok hehe biased and ive decided to add pentagon to our scienario/reaction requests so send some in my dudess.

You groaned loudly for what felt like the millionth time that evening. You let your head fall back, hitting the wall of the practice room with a dull ‘thud’. You came here whenever you wanted time to yourself. You don’t know why, you just felt more comfortable in the practice room.

Your songbook laid on your lap, half-assed lyrics scribbled on the lines of the paper. For the past year you’ve wanted to write your own song, and you knew exactly what to write it about. You just didn’t know how to get those feelings on the damn paper. You were they type of person that needed to get their feelings out somehow. You couldn’t just bottle them up completely.

“You look a bit stressed.”

You jumped at the sudden voice, looking to the direction it came from.You were greeted by a smiling and slightly confused Hwitaek. You assumed he had just finished up practice for Pentagon’s new comeback. You felt a small smile form at the sight of your friend.

You had debuted as a solo artist a little over a year before Pentagon debuted. You had helped them a lot for their debut stage, remembering how nerve racking it can be. Long story short, you and the boys had grown quite the friendship. They had become like a family to you honestly. Except one.

Jung Wooseok.

You’ve had the biggest crush on him for the past year and it was lowkey driving you crazy. Even better, the other boys caught on very quickly. You were thankful they kept your feelings for the giant maknae a secret.

“I’m passed stressed, my friend”, you replied with a short giggle. Hwitaek moved over to sit on the floor next to you. His eyes wondered to your songbook, pointing at it in silent permission to read the contents. Silently, you handed him the book, watching his eyes scan the page curiously.

You sighed. “It’s just brainstorming right now”, you muttered.

“You seem like you’re having trouble”, he joked. You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. Letting them fall to your lap, you puffed your cheeks.

“I know exactly what I want to do”, you said, turning your head to look at him. “But I can’t seem to put my feelings into words on the damn paper.” you stated.

“These feelings wouldn’t happen to be the ones about Wooseok, would they?” he said. His tone was teasing, joking. His eyes softened when you gave a nod. His mouth formed an ‘o’ at your silent answer.

“So are you making this song as some kind of secret confession?” Hwitaek questioned. Again, you nodded.

Hwitaek didn’t say anything for a moment, his gaze going from you back to the messy words in the book.

“Would you like me to help you?” Hwitaek asked kindly with a smile. You’re eyes went wide for a moment.

“I don’t want to bother you”, you said. You would love Hwitaek’s help, especially since he was a great composer himself in your opinion. But he was so busy preparing for their comeback, he must be exhausted. You didn’t want to add on.

“(Y/N), I’d be happy to help”, he chuckled. “You’re like a little sister to me and I know this will stress you to the max if you work on it completely alone.”

You couldn’t help but bluntly say, “Way past that, buddy.”

Hwitaek rolled his eyes but didn’t fight the smile pushing on his lips. “Well, lucky I’m here to save the day. Now, You said this is about Wooseok? How exactly does he make you feel?”

Hours later, the lyrics were finally finished. As you and Hwitaek stood, you pulled him into a tight hug. “Thank you so much for your help, Hwitaek.”

He chuckled, his arms wrapping around you to return the hug. “It was no problem. I’m glad i could help.”

When you two separated, you opened the song book, your eyes reading the lyrics. Your heart was poured on the pages and with Hwitaek’s help, they were perfectly made into lyrics. Now all that needed to be done was create the music to go with it and it would be finished. You smiled up at Hwitaek.

“I really can’t thank you enough”, you said. The two of you began to leave the room, cutting the lights off and shutting the door behind you.

“You could tell Wooseok how you feel”, he said, nudging you lightly.

“Not happening”, you said instantly. Hwitaek groaned.

“Why not?” he dragged out. “He likes you too! Perfect reason to tell him.”

You shook your head. It’s not like you didn’t trust Hwitaek’s words. In fact, all the boys told you multiple times Wooseok liked you back and part of you believed he did too. But there was that bigger, more dominating part that told you he didn’t. That all you were and ever will be was a friend to him.

“My song is my confession”, you stated. “So technically, I am telling him.”

Hwitaek groaned dramatically, throwing his head back. “That doesn’t count.

“I’ll tell him....one day.” you said. But Hwitaek knew better. He simply sighed, nodding.

Months later and you were sitting in the waiting room of Inkigayo for your first of many stages for your new title track song. The one you wrote with Hwitaek. You had gotten so much positive feedback after the mv had dropped, so you were beyond excited to perform the comeback stages.

You were already ready to perform, so you passed time by scrolling on your phone. You smiled as you read encouraging comments on your latest instagram post. It was a simple selfie with the caption talking about your excitement.

Your attention was directed to the door of the waiting room when you heard shouting from behind it. You rose your brows into confusion until 10 familiar figures stumbled into the room.

“(Y/N)!” Pentagon shouted in excitement. You laughed, feeling lighter at the presence of your closest friends. You greeted them with a smile.

“Boys! What are you guys doing here?” you asked as they all moved around to find a place to sit. You felt your heart flip when Wooseok took a seat next to you on the small couch, his smile to you filling your stomach with butterflies. You noticed Shinwon behind him wiggling his brows suggestively.

You let your eyes roll, sticking your tongue out at him. Wooseok looked at you confused before turning to see who you were looking at, letting out a chuckle to see Shinwon stick his tongue out right back out at you.

“We have a few hours off so we thought we’d come and support our favorite little bean”, Hongseok said patting your head. You pushed him away from you, whining slightly.

“I’m not little!” you stated.

“You’re shorter than all of us here, miss five foot four”, Hwitaek pipped up. You huffed lightly, crossing your arms. It wasn’t long until everyone was in different conversations to pass time.

“Feeling nervous?”

You turned your attention from watching Yuto and Shinwon play what seemed like an enfless game of rock-paper-scissors to Wooseok. You laughed lightly and shook your head.

“Not really. I’m more excited than anything”, you replied. Wooseok nodded in understanding.

“You know, your song is amazing. Even more so that you wrote it yourself”, he smiled. You felt yourself get shy suddenly when he stated this. “So, who’s it about?”

Wooseok poked you gently, his expression twisted in curiosity. But as he said this, you swear you saw a glint of hope in his eyes. Little did you know, you were right. He was silently hoping it was written about him. He tried not to let you see it though.

You felt your cheeks heat up, causing you to look away. “Who says it was about anyone?”

Wooseok scoffed lightly, his poking getting more frequent. You squealed lightly as he poked a spot that tickled. He chuckled at your reaction, poking you more. “Come on. I won’t tell”, he dragged out childishly.

“Yea, (Y/N). Who’s the special guy?” Yanan asked, though he seemed genuinely curious.

You could see the others from the corner of your eye glancing at the two of you playing around, almost all of them wearing knowing smirks on their faces.

“No”, you giggled. “I promise, it’s not about anyone”, you lied. Wooseok stopped poking you, raising a brow. You bit your lip, hoping he’d buy your little lie. He let out a hum, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. Before anyone else could speak up, staff were poking their heads into the room, telling you that you needed to get your mic on get get ready to get on stage.

As you left the room, the boys said words of encouragement to you, giving you quick hugs. After some last minute checks with your mic, makeup, and stage setup, you were out and waving to fans that had showed up to watch the pre-recording. You said your small little greeting and quickly got into position.

The Pentagon members were still in the waiting room, watching the tv eagerly. Wooseok was watching you perform with a smile, his heart jumping everytime the camera did a close up on you. The song was up beat and has a nice pop feel to it, but the lyrics you had created with Hwitaek was what really got to him.

He was burning with curiosity to know who your inspiration was to create a song like this. Wooseok asked Hwitaek if he knew, since he helped create the song with you, but Hwitaek respected that you weren’t ready to tell Wooseok your feelings and claimed he didn’t know.

Eventually, your performance had ended. You said your thanks and love to your fans before you took your leave. The boys met you backstage when you were getting help taking off your mic.

“Please tell me you’ll teach me the choreo”, Hyunggu asked when they reached you. You laughed at the request, though you weren’t exactly shocked.

“Sure, Hyunggu. I promise”, you said.

“We have just enough time to get some lunch. Wanna come?” Yuto asked. You thought about it for a moment. You didn’t have anything scheduled until later on in the afternoon. So you shrugged.

“Sure. But let me go change first.” you said. I’ll meet you guys outside?”

They agreed and you split away from them. Once you grabbed your clothes you arrived in from your stylists, you went to go change. You shut the door of the room behind you, leaning against it as your eyes watered.

Your emotions were finally getting to you.

It all played in your mind. The look in Wooseok’s eyes when he asked you who the song was about. His smile filled with excitement to see you when he walked into the room. His laugh as he poked and teased you. Oh, you were falling deep. And it was beginning to hurt to keep your feelings concealed.

Your vision blurred. A sad chuckled left your lips.

“Jung Wooseok”, you began. “The way you make my heart soar and you don’t even realize it.”

Then, the tears began to fall.

TELL ME ABT JK DURING UR CONCERT IN LA !!!!!! HE LOVES LA N U DIDNT TELL ME ABT IT IN DETAIL !!!!!!💞💕💖💓

oh god :(((( HHH!!!!!! ok im literally gonna go through this event by event. so I WALKED INTO THE ARENA with my friend to go find my seat and there’s a moment of silence before the beginning of danger’s mv begins playing. and up on the screen is jungkook playing outro: propose, that really pretty dramatic piano part. and let me tell you i literally burst into tears AT THAT MOMENT because it was just so overwhelming to realize that i was actually there and going to see them. and then there was the vcr and they all looked. So Good! i literally said “oh my god” so many times during the concert it was unreal i mean ive told you about this but yeah on to actual performances (read more)

so all this fire starts torching into the air and the stage lights are flashing everywhere with this dramatic music with heavy drums (think mama 2016 fire-esque). ok so im rewatching the vid i took as i write this and im laughing because everyone else is like “TRAADE OFF” and from me you just hear this hysterical “CHOO CHOO” OK thats not the point. i could barely focus in the first performance because i could not believe they were real but like he’s GORGEOUS they were all so gorgeous n i wanna gush about the others too but this is a jk ask. he is So Stable and powerful i dont know how he even does it. so after they finish performing they begin their ments…. when it goes to jk he kinda looks up like “:o its my turn” but then he goes “WASSUP” and he’s so sos ofuckginfg pretty he glows and his eyes and just his face at that point i screamed “I LOVE YOU… (weakly) jungoo….” and then he also said LONG TIME NO SEE he has the cutest voice :(.

when he starts singing in save me… his voice is so beautiful. and i already said it but his dancing is so powerful. n the way he looks at the camera… you feel it in your soul. and his voice is so good in im fine!!!!!! i was not, in fact, fine. the part where he falls to the floor then suddenly looks up is so intense.

but incredibly he looks absolutely ethereal when he stands and sings. this might sound weird but like…. the way his eyes are half closed is so pretty and he looks at peace. even more so when he closes his eyes all the way. ive said it so many times but his eyes literally are so captivating. all of bts look unbelievably good in person. also there’s supposed to be a fanchant In Magic Shop During The Instrumental Break But Nobody Did It but i faithfully went through all the way anyway.

n then. THE GOLDEN DUO VCR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! theyre so cuuuteekjsdhdskjfh :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( like it was just such a happy pure colorful lighthearted vcr!!!!!

ok not to be cheesy but i literally got goosebumps and started tearing up when i heard his voice say “euphoria” in the silence. the pretty guitars start coming in and he’s revealed on the stage. he looks so at home when he sings it and there’s golden light all around him and he’s smiling. but when it’s not the chorus the lights are a blue color and it reminds me of the ocean in the music video. he really puts so much into his singing and just his overall performance. and when he does the high note in euphoria and the golden confetti explodes into the air and shimmers in the lights.

he puts his hand to chest often when he sings like he’s feeling it in his soul. but he also jams out really cutely! he jumped around during run a lot (and yet is ridiculously stable still) and his hair is bouncy! he headbanged a little too :( at the end of run during hoseok’s part he took out his earpiece to listen to us. his part in dna with tae is so iconic!!! rapper jk!!!!!!!!! literally even just the way he sings “DNA”!!!!

he asked us if we were having fun!!!! babie :( (side note tae is SOO cute when he talks in english). also the army bomb ocean was so pretty it was a range of colors from yellow green to purple and it was this amazing gradient.

then. Then. 21st century girls. Came On. but i need to save this gushing about the song itself for the next ask. all of them gather together to jam out in the center of the stage! afterwards jk wanders around! YOU SAY YES OR NO YES OR NO WOOAAAHOHHH

this goes for everyone else too but when he sings in gogo its like the words are just rolling out of his mouth if that makes sense.

but the transition to bst. unreal but im also saving that for the next ask. god and i keep talking about jk’s dancing but seriously him and the entirety of dance line are a serious force to be reckoned with. his voice when he sings his parts is so light and fluttery.

you shouldve heard me during his rap part of boy in luv. i was like “APPAAAAAAA” “EOMMAAAAAA” “PYEONJIIII” “MWONJIII” like i think those technically aren’t his lines but that whole section. and they cut straight to the bridge instead of doing the second verse and jk’s voice there especially combined with jimin and jin. and he holds the high note!!!!!!!

but his rap part in danger. hard fucking core. he’s so talented it’s unbelievable. this man does not hesitate when it comes to bangers or when it comes to headbanging.

airplane pt2. he saunters onto the stage like nobody’s business and sits and kicks back on that damn chair with his sultry ass voice. his falsetto is gorgeous when they do that part before hoseok’s airplane rap and at the end of the song. and i know it’s only part of the studio recording but when he does the “ah ah” part i lose my mind. the way he sits with the other members surrounding him just emanates this air of power and regality but almost in a casual way like “yeah we’re royalty, what about it?”

his outfit during fake love is perfect. all of the outfits are so good i could gush about them all day but alas this is a jk ask. his sleeves are see-through and he has shiny chains going across his chest harness and i’m sure you could find pictures of it but i hadn’t looked at concert pics beforehand so i was in shock at how good the outfits were. it’s like some performing beast is unleashed from jungkook during fake love. he’s absolutely in the zone and i couldn’t take my eyes off him because his presence is so strong especially when he’s in the center. it’s like he moves his body and projects his voice perfectly to the flow and energy of the song. fake love as a whole is so captivatingly intense it’s like you’re under a spell when you watch them perform it.

ok im burning out i can only write so much DSKJHSDF but the truth untold. it’s like he transforms into full angel form at this point. his voice is incredible and his harmonies and pitch and the emotion he puts into it. also everybody say thank you stylists!

he also has such an aura during mic drop. everybody does but it seriously is honestly such a great track live because the energy is dominating and in that moment you really know that they absolutely do own the whole arena and set the stage on fire. ugh! and the strength that he has during the dance break at the end of mic drop!! unreal!

also i can’t imagine genuinely truly hating so what. like i see so many people saying they hate it but you know that when you hear it irl that shit makes you JUMP and they have so much fun on stage especially jk! we like to make fun of him for his shoot dance but seeing him go across the stage enjoying himself so much makes you feel just as much joy as him :( at this point would it really be a performance of so what if he didn’t do it?

at this point i knew that so what was one of the final performances n i was like. What. because it really passed by like a blur it didn’t feel nearly as long as it supposedly took and before i knew it they were performing anpanman so i HAD to cheer up because that song is so cute. and jk is all smiley when they perform it! nose scrunches and all! he actually gets up in a normal way during namjoon’s part. his eyes are all big and sparkly and playful and it feels very boyish!!!

N THEN DURING THE ENDING MENT JOON CALLED JUNGKOOK “MISTER COOL GUY JK” AND JK WAS LIKE “cool guy!” n then like “make some nooooiiiise!!!” n he was smiling doing his cute scrunch and rewatching this like. ive said it 50 times already but he’s seriously so pretty. his eyes are lit up and his expression is bright and there’s a blue light shining on him but his EYESSSSS :((((( he has a slight accent which is rly cute but his pronunciation is also really good and it feels like you just want to hug him really tight even though he’s sweaty but like Would I Complain.

his voice in answer: love myself is so smooth it’s like sitting in a warm patch of sun with a cool breeze looking up at the sky. ok i know i said i was burning out but am i really. rewatching the videos makes me so happy. and his harmonies were so nice. and he was moving side to side really cutely! like one of those figurines you put on the dashboard of your car and they dance side to side! n he’s so full of love. they were all moving their arms side to side and the army bombs were moving along with them i want to cry watching it again it’s so weird thinking that i was actually there it felt like everyone in the audience became one with all the members on stage jk was acting cute and he and all the members were waving to everyone in the audience in the pit and the further away and upper levels of the arena.

for a really long time i’ve never been able to pinpoint the happiest moment or memory of my life everytime ive been asked about it. for lack of a better answer i always left it vague but ever since the concert i can easily say it was the happiest i’d been in a long time and possibly ever and i wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything else in the world

KPOP SONGS! Part 2/?

So I thought I’d make a list of the songs in my „kpop“ playlist and write a little about them because I’m bored. These are supposed to be chronological, but after looking at the list I’m not so sure about it also because I love to buy music in bulks.

ZUTTER - GD & T.O.P:

This song is a little scary tbh, apart from the badass vibes

I always loved T.O.P’s deep ass voice and with GD’s high pitched rap it’s just perfect

The MV is funny, creepy and a bit fucked up but what did we expect honestly :D

They rhyme aLOT in this song which makes it really interesting to listen to

made me addicted to the GD & T.O.P combination

THE BADDEST FEMALE - CL:

It took me a while to understand that this isn’t a solo version of „I’m the best“

It’s the queen saying she’s a bad bitch so you know it’s a banger

As almost all CL songs this is good to let off steam and regain your badass level after someone pissed you off

The MV is a sexual awakening on it’s own and performances of that song are also definitely worth a watch

„Not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good you know?“

Perfect to practice bitch drops and feel yourself to

Burning Up (Fire) - BTS:

So I don’t really listen a lot to it but I still like it

Has all kinds of badass vibes and I like the soft breaks in-between

RM’s part is by far my favourite his deep voice is so satisfying

The MV is also really cool

You can see from previous songs I had a badass song phase (I still have this phase, I love badass songs) where I only took badass kpop songs seriously

Growl - EXO:

Okay, so I sometimes forget about this song haha

A good song that screams SM to be honest which I always thought was not that much the case with other EXO songs

The dance to this is really satisfying to watch and was probably the reason I bought this song

It shows EXO’s excellent vocals, has a nice feel and is easy to listen to

Quite an early song too

I love that you could potentially dance really hard to this but still is very soft

Instantly recognisable and also a kpop classic I would say

GOOD BOY - GD & Taeyang:

Is this a kink? This is a kink right?

An awesome song i have bopped to a million times

I really love the „pretty/good boy“ trope and who is better for that then our bad boys™️ GD and Taeyang?

Their voices sound a bit alike and I sometimes had trouble differencing them….whoops

The dance is so so good and the MV is such an accurate representation of these two freaks

God I just love them and miss them so much

I am the best (JP. Ver) - 2ne1:

Welcome to another round of Aki isn’t capable of differencing Japanese and Korean lol

I must say I prefer this version though, I recently bought the korean version and it’s just not the same I got so used to the english parts lol

This is also a classic, bow to the queens of badass girl group songs!

The MV made me fall in love with CL and the gang

„It’s 2 in the morning our bodies getting freaky, the beats bumping loud but this boy keeps talking! I can’t really hear him but I think he’s saying he loves me? Put his number on this paper but i throw it like frisbee, huh?“

I C O N I C this song raised me, fed me, dressed me and gave me the kick in the butt I needed.

BOOMBAYAH - BLACKPINK:

Why of course after discovering 2ne1 BP wasn’t far behind

Recently showed this MV to a non kpop friend of mine and she drooled over all of them soooo, you can do that

Loved this song the second it started and love dancing violently to it

I now, btw, also own the whole album but it took me a bit to get into them (I was in girl group denial, don’t be like me show them girls some love!)

OPPA!

Being only four really makes it possible for all of them to shine, the vocals are clean and pretty but raspy enough to fit the concept and Jennie and Lisas raps are perfect as always

The beat is easy as is the whole song, doesn’t get annoying and is just a bop.

Fantastic Baby - BIGBANG:

Nananananananana wow, fantastic baby!

Well well well if it isn’t history right there

Watch the MV, listen to the song! It’s mandatory to know this I’m sorry I don’t make the rules

Danceable, walkable just all in all go crazy(-able)

Boomshakalaka!

A bit poppy so maybe not for everyone as it sounds a lot like stuff that is randomly on the radio

A dance song that probably was never intended to be more than that. Typically YG, a bit flatter than Bang Bang Bang

I’m repeating myself but you know I heard it’s also something non kpop people enjoy (Basically show them all of BIGBANG, lol)

Ice cream cake - Red Velvet:

Oh boy! My first Red Velvet song that I have because the refrain was stuck in my head and I wanted to know what it was

There’s way more RV later on but for now I think it was the only song

As I said I was in denial of girl groups that didn’t have a badass concept which was soooo dumb!

I love the song, it’s cute and easy to listen to

I love RV’s kinda cute-creepy concept and with the music box in the background it feeds into my liking very easily

I have moved on from it though after discovering other songs from them so I don’t listen to it as often

„I scream, you scream, gimme that, gimme that ice cream!“

Sherlock (Clue + Note) - SHINee:

I have known this song for years! Back when my best friend was into kpop and told me all about SHINee I looked into it, Youtube gave me this song and I instantly clicked. Didn’t like it clicked away and didn’t touch it for 5 years

Well now I love it and can’t stop dancing when it’s on

„SHINees back….“

The MV is confusing but god they’re all so cute in it! Taemin looks so adorable with long hair!

I have watched the dance practice about 100x times and you should too! (jk)

„Tonight, SHINee’s in da house! So give it up for SHINee!“

And as much as I love SHINee’s vocal squad and they’re great in this, Key and Minho really do it for me in this song

The song lives from the dance and the performance and makes it 10x better

It’s also good for just listening though but not really calm and casual so be prepared to break out into sudden song

„Oh I’m curious, yeah!“ (Is it noticeable that I’m listening to it while I write? probably not.)

Breaking News - SHINee:

And my struggle with japanese songs continues haha

„Come on break down the walls!“

I really like this song though, especially the refrain it’s so much fun

It’s also really danceable (as I think every SHINee song is, I mean have you seen them dance?)

Partly really dramatic (slay Onew slay), partly badass rapping

I mean it’s SHINee it’s fun bright and has a dance rhythm what more could you possibly want?

Ring Ding Dong - SHINee:

Yeah, i doubt you don’t know this one

Coincidently the first kpop MV I watched after deciding to dive deeper down the rabbit hole and well would you know it…now we’re here

It’s the one about the broken doorbell! Break it down!

This song and dance is Legendary!

Also a fun song that isn’t to be taken too seriously

The MV is kinda dramatic for this song lol

Good to listen to, has a nice beat and melody

There are these songs that every idol can dance to, this is one of them (In the list of “songs every idol can dance to” you’d find a LOT of SHINee btw)

„Ringdingdongringdindongringdigidingdigiding“

SHAKE THAT BRASS - AMBER (feat. Taeyon):

Amber…oh Amber. I love her really a whole lot and as I saw the MV I just had to have this song!

It’s a super fun and dancey song with (as the title suggests) a brassy sound

Much like Woof Woof I really enjoy this song bc of the MV,

Amber is rapping and being the goofball she is ;)

BUT! As much as I like that song and think she deserves all the solo stuff she can get I like her new stuff more because it’s more „hers“. I really enjoy her singing as well.

And confession of the month: I don’t like f(x)’s sound so I’m happy she does solo stuff

She’s such an inspiration with her unique style and attitude (sighs in very gay)

Lucifer - SHINee:

I LOVE this song! OMG!

The MV is kinda uneventful but the DANCE PRACTICE!

Oh boy! Well first off Lee Taemin is very distracting in it but you have to see the dance to believe it! That’s what they perform with! On a regular basis!

The sound is very electric and theres a quiet electric melody running through the whole of it that kinda sounds like some alarm clocks lol

Edgy™️

You should absolutely watch performances! Jonghyuns high note is not portrayed well in the recorded version, boy has breath forever!

Apart from the vocals slaying absolutely every note the rap parts can’t be discarded by any means

It all just fits so perfectly

Oh and of course for a song of it’s time it’s just a little bit...nonsensical (especially the english parts lol: Loverholic, robotronic. what?)

Hero - MONSTA X:

I’m thinking of a helicopter landing platform, pulled up shirts and a scared Wonho

The dance to this song is…well do yourself a favour if you like abs and boys

Apart from the drool worthy performance, the song is super cool! Kinda chill, but still powerful and damn rapline went off!

This song really made them known more and it’s for a good reason

The sound in this is what is „typically“ MX for long time (Till up until Jealousy I’d say)

„I can be your hero, I can be your man!“

Sometimes a bit repetitive but what song isn’t lol?

Also still is in the „we all dress awful and don’t know what to do with our hands“ phase but that passes soon

Lead to many wonderful reality shows that makes it easy for new fans to get to know them better (Their group dynamic never changes they all just mature a bit it’s really nice to see.)

Also yes, Jooheon is kinda scary in this but I swear he a cutie
