OKAY BUT WHAT IF  — AND I KNOW THIS IS A STRETCH BUT I’M BUILDING ON THEM. (but it there’s anything more as the chapters progress, I’m definitely gonna intergrade the chapters with what I come up with or do with things as I see fit BUT!!!)

Since DR “isn’t connected” to UT (not believing it for one second, I’m not), what if ghost mtt or “Hapstablook” gets these “dreams” or “visions” of their life as, well, Mettaton. from another timeline. what if these visions happen a little more frequently whenever Kris and Susie switch dimensions (I’d think ghosts are able to jump around if not feel dimensions bc ghosts, no body but they can probably feel waves if that makes sense)? 

now, we all know MTT isn’t really one to get involved in politics at least that’s the tone I got from him (in King MTT ending from UT) but I think in this verse, they would be a little more? attentive? to what’s going on? especially if it gets in the way of getting their body that they’ve always dreamt of. they even venture off to look for Alphys bc what if they got such a vague vision of her, that she’s connected to this somehow. Hapstablook going wild trying to convince her, too, if they ever find her--

minor spoilers? but with the whole spamton thing --- still, their muse is so struck with the idea akfkgjsd even worse when they get those visions, seeing themselves as what could’ve been but it’s practically taken with spamton having it, instead. jUST.
