A sitcom like Full House but instead it's America and the Immigrant nations living together in a big house working through cultural differences and their fun and often wacky times in NYC. Que the canned laughter.
America- Is the dad like figure in the house. Whenever anyone has a problem he can sit them down on their bed and give them a nice talk and everything will be better. Real end of the episode type shit.
Ireland- The 'bad boy' brings home a new lover every night. Always hung over but he is the cool loving uncle you can lean on when a problem might be too serious to bring to America. His ‘talks’ often lead to more issues and eventually they do have to bring america into it somehow to smooth things over.
Lithuania-The older brother figure working through his trauma one day at a time. Often is the voice of reason when things get too out of hand. Makes big heartfelt speeches. Well behaved and never causes any issues but often get's pulled into everyone else's schemes because he is a people pleaser and wants to be sure things don’t get too crazy.
Romano- The spoiled 'baby' of the group, def a fan favorite. He’s got a catch phrase and all that 90s sitcom jazz. He's not actually a baby he's just normal adult Romano but he does demand to be babied. He somehow always pulls a ‘Tom Sawyer’ and convinces someone else to do his chores/work for him. Causes most of the hijinks in the house but never takes the fall for it. Always coming up with a get rich quick scheme that the others have to bail him out of when it never works out. If he gets sleepy or is cranky they do switch him out with North Italy between takes. They put a wig on him and viewers have never noticed.

I’m growing more and more convinced that Kaeya is completely unaffected by the curse / forbidden knowledge corruption. But I want to propose a possible theory that it’s not because of anything special done to him or his eye, but because he just... is.
Kaeya’s backstory implies he likely knows some of the truths of Teyvat that the Khaenria’hns uncovered; things that are likely forbidden knowledge. But of course, we’ve seen no signs that he is affected by the corruption that’s supposed to accompany that knowledge.
So think about this: a child born over 500 years after the cataclysm, after the corruption took hold. What if after all those generations surviving it, a child was born who was simply just immune to it? A child born with the abyss in their blood, but still human and not suffering the same corruption that plagued their forefathers?
And the child is an Alberich.
It’d be hard not to see that child as hope incarnate. To not see that child as key to saving your people.
And of course, whether it’s something with his eye or just how he was born, there has to be something about him that garnered Celestia’s interest in him. Why else would they give a Khaenri’ahn, an Alberich even, a vision?
Now, shifting topics slightly, I get the feeling that the Alberich’s are a completely separate faction from the Abyss Order. The Alberich’s tried and failed to resurrect Khaenri’ah, and their motto implies they have zero interest in trying again. They likely have other goals in mind.
The Abyss Order however does want to revive the nation itself and was likely founded by those unhappy with the Alberich’s failure, turning instead to the twin for leadership. We’ve also seen firsthand what kind of lengths the Abyss Order is willing to go to in order to remove the curse/corruption.
If the Alberich clan saw Kaeya as a means to an end, the Abyss Order would surely do the same.
This leads to the eyepatch:
Theories about Kaeya’s eye aside, the eyepatch still could have originally just been because of his heritage. After all, every Khaenri’ahn we know of has something over or around the right eye and Irmin was the One-Eyed King.
As for why he continues to wear it even now though, there’s a possibility having a perfectly normal looking human scar could be a dead give away to him being immune to the corruption. And that would likely garner the attention of the Abyss Order; possibly even Pierro and the Tsaritsa’s attention as well.
