i’ve been writing like craaaaazy (for me anyway) this last week and i finally got to the introduction of my buff lesbian cult leader fallon and i’m losing my mind over her so i’m putting a snippet under the cut so y’all can join me

Standing next to Willow was a young woman not much older than them, perhaps around Juniper’s age, muscular arms crossed over a broad chest. Willow’s own arm was wrapped around her upper arm. Rowan and the young woman locked gazes and Rowan had never seen eyes as green as hers – they shone in the moonlight like the emerald necklace that Artemisia favored. Her hair resembled the firelight in the distance, a swirling rainbow of reds and oranges and golds, and was tied back roughly. It looked unbrushed and the rest of her looked equally rough. Her clothes, plain and monochrome, appeared to be handmade and clumsily so. Her skin was the golden hue of someone who spent all their time in the sun and it was dotted with small white scars that suggested manual labor. Freckles the color of her hair covered her face.

She was beautiful in a terrifying sort of way.

“Who are you?” she demanded, putting on the airs of a future queen. Oh, if only Artemisia could see her now.

“You’re pressing your luck, little queenling.”

Going through it again now I’m realizing Sophie (and by extension me) might just be dumb as hell because oh my god does he go from wanting her attention cause he’s a flirt to “SOPHIEEEE LOOK WHAT I DID!”

Gives her nice clothes, doesn’t pressure her on the spell, buys her a house, oh Sophie said she wants to sell flowers- HOW ABOUT I GET HER A FLOWER FEILD, oh no I upset her might as welL INVITE HER ENTIRE FAMILY INTO MY HOME TO VISIT WHILE ALSO KEEPING HER SAFE FROM THE DEMON AFTER ME, all this with without knowing what she really looked like btw and when he does see her- immediate flirting as his a satan spawn isn’t less than five feet away from them.

Enid calling Wednesday ‘my moon’ is the most endearing nickname I can think of fer her to lovingly use (bonus points if it’s in Greek bc Greek!Enid is one of the best headcanons this fandom has collectively adopted so far.)

Assuming the show will follow the traditional model of werewolves having this deep, super special bond to the moon, can you imagine the sheer gravity of Enid choosing WEDNESDAY as HER moon. The moon who never abandoned her, the moon who calls to her all the same but this time doesn’t reject her as she beckons said allure, the moon who wholly accepts her as a werewolf who can’t transform (yet, hopefully). While moonlight is merely reflected sunshine, even the grand white apple of the sky, the cruelest of forbidden fruits, refuses to cast down its borrowed light on Enid. What good is she, a wolf with no howl?

Wednesday, however? Wednesday, a girl who doesn’t turn her back on Enid but rather teaches the young, late blooming wolfie to not only accept, but also stand up for herself. Wednesday, a girl who is from a family already considered an anomaly and thus can understand Enid and her oddities. Wednesday, a girl who loves her in a way that means, “Come as you are, you are already enough. Just turn down that wrenched noise you call music before you do.” Wednesday, her true moon. Wenclair is already as aesthetically Sun & Moon Girlfriends as you can get- we’re talking Bumbleby levels of Sun & Moon aesthetics here- but the sheer POWERMOVE of Enid casting aside the traditional werewolf-moon bond? Of instead choosing her OWN moon in Wednesday, who chose her right back, howless or not?

(Extra bonus points: Whispered just below a certain Addams’ breath, words so heavy with reverence they could easily drown a man, a phrase so quietly uttered that Enid knows they’re meant for her and only her, “Mi sol.”)

Currently rereading (via the audiobook) The Duchess Hunt by Lorraine Heath, and maybe it’s just enhanced by the narration but I had forgotten the sheer Comedy of Kingsland’s obliviousness at the beginning, wherein every time he mentions the fact that Pettypeace is handling his search for a wife someone is there to be like “…my guy…” #judgment because the only person who doesn’t know she’s in love with him is him.

i prefer to fight with words. 

UGH Shane buying the farmer flowers because he loves them and saving one to keep in his room because he loves them and it reminds him of them and he hopes they look at the flowers often and think of him too AND when it starts to wilt he goes to replace them and the cycle repeats
