6. Going out to eat: Who pays? Who orders the most food? And who has dessert?

I'm gonna cheat and say joint bank account - but early on, it depends on who organised the date! i'm gonna say when babe organises, they're very good at getting the bill without asher noticing, and it drives him nuts. most of the dates he organises are more casual - cafe dates, food truck with the best food in Dahlia, park dates (as he is a golden retriever, personified), so it's not much of an issue.

when asher does make a reservation at a nice place, he has to get milo's help (are you picking up a theme xD) to pick up an outfit that's more than his usual casual stuff or work wear. he's very nearly late to his own date, but he does manage to pay the bill this time. he also takes them to a play they mentioned being interested in one time, weeks ago, and it's perfect. <3

9. Is someone multilingual? Do they try to teach another language to the other? How does it go?

I love this question, as yes, babe and ash both know BSL, because babe is HOH and knows BSL, and ash has been picking it up for them. they use it around the house and around the pack, when it's loud and busy and ash can sense babe getting overwhelmed and asks if they want to duck out for a minute to catch their breath. babe started teaching ash signs, but he signed up to online courses a few months in, as he already knew this was relationship was gonna be it for him, and he wanted them to be free to take out their cochlear when he stayed over. he's a quick learner, even if he gets his signs mixed up sometimes (leading to some amusing propositions hehehe)

13. Who’s loud? Who’s quiet? Does one try to make the other louder/quieter? How?

hehehehe, EXCELLENT QUESTION. asher is loud. we know this. babe loves it, loves that he is responsive, loves that they can hear the effect they have on him. babe on the other hand is quiet, and always has been - and asher is always on a mission to get them to a place where they can loosen some of that tight control they have over themselves so he can hear them. it's always special when he does <3

"This is why every hero requires a sidekick-"

Chongyun snorts when Xingqiu falls into their lap, though their fingers automatically move to play with the other’s hair. “It was necessary,” Chongyun says quietly. “I needed to become stronger than I am already.” Okay, maybe not mandatory, but considering who they are now, Chongyun feels as though extra strength may come in handy in case a battle breaks out. Chongyun doesn’t want to be the weakest.

He wonders if he should tell Xingqiu, too. Xingqiu is his best friend, it wouldn’t be fair to keep him in the dark forever. But then again, that would also explain Rex Lapis still being alive in the first place. Before their thoughts get away from them, Chongyun forcibly redirects their attention back to the man in their lap.

“You think I’m your sidekick?” There’s a playful glint in their eye as they study Xingqiu. He could be a hero in his own right, Chongyun would have no trouble playing backup. “I could be your sidekick.”

Maybe they can have that conversation another time. Not today.

Okay, so first of all Dan would like to say it’s not his fault. Ellie was the one to bring some unknown object into the speeder and Jazz was the one driving. Or had Sam been driving- didn’t matter! It wasn’t his fault, he wasn’t the one shooting at them, he wasn’t the one to break whatever, he was not the one to open a stupid portal, and so it wasn’t his fault!

So why is he now like, five years old, and why is the speeder crashed in some sort of corn field. Why is everyone- except for Jazz whose now like six- also like three at most?! And- oh fuck the door just opened and… okay that’s a kid. Like, nine at most.

A kid and an adult, who he hadn’t noticed at first so again, it’s not his fault if he hissed at them and tried to hide his not-siblings behind him. It’s also not fair they’re apparently stuck to ghost speak for who knows how long, but at least they can understand the people.

“Martha, get some blankets, it’s happened again!”
