#spinda#AAAHHHH YES!!! our belovèd spinda. from their café!!! probably one of my favorite minor characters from pmd sky#whom i don't even think was in the original explorers games. i think spinda's café was exclusive to sky. if i'm remembering correct#ly. or maybe that was shaymin village. i know shaymin village was for sure but maybe it was just that and not both of them. either way#have a delicious drink and allow the flower of conversation to bloom! i could quote spinda all day. he had “hopes and dreams” before toby#ever did. THAT'S ALSO like i had no idea what spinda's pronouns were. i kept trying to figure it out because i talked about him quite a lot‚#but no one in game ever talked about him. to mention his pronouns? turns out. there's ONE line of dialogue where the post office fucker in#shaymin village mentions him and calls him a he. i think that's the only time spinda is referred to in the third person with a pronoun#i believe it's when they're talking about like. how you can send gifts or whatever and pick up the characters' responses at spinda's café#which is still a really fucking good feature. of any video game. SEE WHAT I MEAN spinda and their café is just an incredibly good Thing#it's to the point where my home wifi network is named “Spinda's Café Wi-Fi” because i love it so much. so if you're ever runnin around#and you see a wifi network by that name… it might be me! you never know! or… it could be the real deal. the real spinda's café is somewhere#nearby…! ugh. i wish. i would go there immediately#not even to mention all the other shit about this pokémon that's really good. like that they never walk in straight lines or whatever#their little dance. it's just. huUGHKLJKAHJVDHJHDAJSVGD i love spinda. a nice pick-me-up after the underwhelmingness that was grumpig#shake it this way… shake it that way… and stir it all around… and it's done!

random headcannon, Kusuo is Café Mami's owner favorite client
ku comes to Café Mami at the same hour every weekend, often alone but sometimes w his friends (against his will) so he (the manager) always have kusuo's coffee jelly and coffee prepared for him
sometimes when he's in a good mood he even offers free coffee jelly and gives Mera more free time
when this happens, Mera goes with ku and both eat in silence together while the owner sees them from the kitchen like a proud dad (he's single and he got attached to this two, soooo he kinda sees them as his "children")
sometimes when something happens and Mera can't go to work, the owner calls saiki for some help, surprisingly he doesn't mind at all, the shop is really calm and the kitchen it's always clean so kusuo really enjoys being there
also the manager understands that ku isn't the most extroverted guy so he isn't a bother mostly
idk maybe I'm projecting because this guy is so similar to my dad but I really need him and kusuo to have what reigen and mob have, you know? father-son bond, I need to draw them now aaaa

- has been working at the watcher’s nest (cafe) for the past four years
- was a fashion/textiles student. now works at the cafe full time
- co-workers with jimmy and pearl, was also co-workers with grian too, but he quit
- is part-siren, though he’s never used his voice to charm someone out of something since he was ten - there’s no need to use it when he can steal something just as easily without it ;)
- has an old pocket watch, something which many people have questioned him over, seeing as said watch is broken and stuck at a particular time. he keeps it in his pocket anyway

What if there was a certain café where all the employees are the place's signature treats? 🍰💕✨
[More info about these two under the cut!
First there's Angel Food Cake - the cashier, server & the person who runs the café's very ✨aesthetic✨ Instagram account. They are very mean, quick to drop their overly cutesy & sweet customer act if you piss him off & is so here for the gossip (especially when its about establishments in the neighbourhood). In general, think classic Sailor Moon villain, including Oohohohoho laugh. She will strangle you if telling him your order takes longer than a minute.
And just like any of their cake-based co-workers they can spawn little cakepop helpers from their own body. In his case they are cherubs.
And then there's Devil's Food Cake: baker, bouncer & the guy who does the heavy lifting around the place. Very much immovable-object kind of guy. Gets genuinely exited when he has to act out his bouncer duties and will brawl a guy - knowing full well that he'll get paid extra by his boss bc this counts as customer entertainment. Will experiment with savoury/spicy ingredients in sweet dishes, like making cherry-chili-chocolate. It... doesn't always taste good but it won't stop him from trying!
His cakepops are imps. Which will swarm unwelcome customers & occasionally also go for the ankle.
