Wow I finally watched the Loki Season 2 Finale

You know when you ingest a moment in a story, no matter the format, that physically makes you feel something that you know will change you? Whether that's your perspective on a universe, yourself or so on.

Yeah, that was the Loki Finale for me.

What a singular moment that will impact the entirety of how we will watch anything in this marvel world, no matter the universe the story is from, we will always have Loki in the back of our minds.

Loki going through those blast doors, facing the wrath of the imploding loom and taking control of the situation so those he loves may live. He doesn't want to be alone, but he wants his friends back. At the realisation he can't have both, he chooses to be selfless. He takes a life of isolated purpose, so his friends can not only go back to their lives, but now choose the life they live. He may not to be with his friends, but he knows he got them back.

He takes control, takes his path into his own hands and he fulfills his glorious purpose. He faces the situation head on even though it's the one thing he never wanted, to be alone.

His slow but powerful, brave walk. His old attire, old life slowly stripping away and revealing the power and purpose he had inside him all along. It may not be the glorious purpose he always held himself so highly to, but it is one of most importance.

Everything slowly gets put into place, he finally takes his seat on the throne, he fulfills his purpose until the end of time, because he is the selfless god of stories.

Him and those little ol slipper looking shoes, because of course comfort comes first when looking after every timeline that exists in this universe

To input another pov to the s2e5 conversation, I personally brushed off the single dad comment from earlier in the ep, chalking it up to clunky exposition dialogue (oh they need to show how he has his hands full in one line and make it make sense) and THEN the fit check happened and my eyebrows raised to the my hairline, and THEN Don dropped that "[...] or did you follow me home? ;)" line with THAT attitude, and my had to cover my mouth going, what's going on...?? lmao from an extremely jaded tv watcher who almost never ship anything except canon events.

Truly think the world collectively shook that night thanks to the number of viewers leaning forward in their seats with hands over their mouths and awe in their eyes 😂💖

But really though, there will NEVER be proper explanation for what happened in ep 5 other than Loki's canonical impulse to impress Mobius at any given moment finally extending to 90s Hugh Grant rom com territory (as anything should, tbh) or it being a hint that on Don's timeline he'll eventually meet *his* Loki and the two of them will settle into suburbia with the kids and jet ski off into the sunset as fandom intended and I'm personally fine with either option lol

can you imagine the scenes of tva loki seeing thor’s tattoo…. he would definitely stare at it and well up immediately while thor waits for his reaction because he can’t see his face… it would make him super emotional because after all the mischief he caused and all the suffering he put thor through, thor still loves him enough to mourn him and miss him for the hundredth time. and then thor turns around hopeful as he waits for loki’s reaction to which he says “it’s stupid. what were you thinking?” but thor hugs him anyway because that’s the exact reaction he wanted from loki and suddenly they’re back
