a/n: I loved this request... but it was my first attempt at the aesthetic/vibe as a whole and I'm not sure if I hit the mark. I used this pic as my inspo. ):( Summary: What it's like for Ghost to have an "everything in pink, please." gf, and what kind of feelings go along with it. TW's: suggestive content 18+ ONLY, established relationship, possessiveness?, def not proofread (the usual), fem!reader.

Of all the women that Simon ever entertained the thought of being, one like you didn’t initially even present itself as a remotely interesting option. The idea of someone such much different from himself sounded like nothing less than a good way of fucking up someone else’s -otherwise- normal life by inserting himself into it. You just always seemed so damn happy and excited about even the smallest of things; Practically amplifying the good feelings floating around in the air and blasting them right back at him. Never without something pink on and dressed up like you were minutes away from attending some kind of fairy party literally scared Ghost away from having anything to do with you.

You on the other hand, weren’t exactly sure what it was that made Ghost so averse to speaking to you more than a few words at a time. Yet made it your very private little mission of sorts to snoop and poke around until you found some kind of answer as to why such a massive and expertly lethal man couldn’t bear to stand within arms reach of you. He just intrigued you for some reason or another. Only getting glimpses of the man’s real self in his eyes -the only visible part of him- and having to make your next moves based off of nothing more than gut-feelings and the hope that you were reading his signals correctly.

At first, it crossed your mind that your preferred aesthetic of sorts could be a bit of the problem. For most people it might appear a bit too much, and when looking at Ghost dressed almost head to to in black with a skull painted on his masked face… there was good reason to assume it in the first place. What you didn’t know was that it was so much deeper than your affinity for lace-trimmed socks, Mary Jane’s, pearls, and practically anything hyper-feminine and in a shade of pink. Ghost didn’t believe you were weak or predisposed to acting childish. You held a massively significant job in journalism and worked harder than most people he knew at what you did. You just happened to enjoy everything around you looking like some damn cotton-candy tea party.

What bothered him was your sweet personality and an intrinsic value he held for just how fucking innocent you were towards him and everyone else around you. People could be utterly horrible right to your face, and you’d silently keep the hurt to yourself and never fight back against what they’d done. Revenge wasn’t something you cared for, while it was essential to Ghost’s motivation in his work and private life. For a long time he couldn’t balance his morals of being involved with you at all with the thoughts in the back of his mind about how much he might twist and form you into something unrecognizable. Something a lot less… pink. A person that didn’t enjoy such small little things like how a skirt had small pink flowers embroidered on it, or if the little bows you’d stick in your hair had a lace fringe on the edges.

Oh but how things changed when Ghost finally couldn’t stand looking at you without thinking about how nice it would be to have his arm wrapped around you, pulling you tight up against him to keep everyone from staring. The Lieutenant always had a weak spot for you and your sugar-sweet personality and looks. But goddamn did he start loving the color pink more than a professional murderer should. All the hues and tones of that fucking color began reminding him of you no matter where he was, or what he was doing. For the longest time, he’d been worried that he would be the one that changed you, all the while he was too deep inside his own mind to recognize that you were the one controlling the direction things were headed.

Just looking at you made him shudder with feelings of possessiveness and adoration. Standing there happy as could be with thigh-high white socks and a fluffy pink skirt, all dressed up just to go out to eat at a little late-night pub because he couldn’t stand the idea of having to show his face in the bright daylight. You knew to a certain extent that Ghost appreciated the way you lived your life just a bit more feminine than average… but the depths of his thoughts and ideas about you were surface level to say the least. He just knew what you looked like clinging to his arm walking down the street; His polar opposite and yet so happy to be close to him. A darling smile… pretty and glossed lips… frilly things on almost every piece of clothing you wore and just utterly adorable to him.

Knowing that gave him… fantasies.

Wanting to see all of the things he could buy for you to wear for him. Dress you up almost like his own little doll and get to show you off to anyone who’d look, only to have the pleasure of threatening them to do more than take one good glance. So delectable, squeezable; but for him and him alone. You were the princess Simon didn’t realize he wanted and unlocked this strange and insatiable urge to spoil the fuck out of you with every pretty pink or glittery thing you could wish for, just so he could take you home and watch you try it all on for him while sipping a bourbon on the couch.

Fuck… There wasn’t a better way to spend an evening. Well, almost.

Perfect didn’t count unless he got to see you under him, laying back on pink silk sheets you’d been adamant about buying for his house, watching your eyes roll back with every moment he made. Damn if he couldn’t make it more than fifteen minutes without needing to calm himself down, before needing to put you on your hands and knees so those pretty little fucking faces you made wouldn’t make him finish before he got started. If he was lucky he could leave hot and pink handprints on your ass for making him feel so good. Simon knew you weren’t sheltered. But to him you were still innocent. Kind in so many ways he didn’t comprehend or believe was humanly possible. For fuck’s sake, you allowed him to come into your life.

Him with his scarred hands, bullet holes, shitty disposition. A man who preferred destruction and death for it’s permanence and certainty. Simon, with his need to hide his own face and go by a name that lacked humanity. All of him starkly contrasted you in so many ways it made him spin with confusion and oftentimes guilt. Questioning why he’d been so weak as to touch you in the first place. Allow himself the chance at someone so full of life who could see the world -literally- through rose-colored lenses.

Yet you brought forth happiness and fulfillment that the soldier hadn’t found in his years of searching desperately for a purpose. He found someone he could visually see, and palpably touch who hadn’t been torn down or beaten into submission in one way or another. Sweet and innocent you had found such a simple yet powerful way of living life the way you wanted to. Ghost felt like he could protect you. Not only in the genuine aspect of loving you so much that he got physically ill at the thought of losing you to anything; but also because you were so full of life and love to give to everyone around you. He needed you. Selfishly. Then again, there needed to be more softness and genuine innocence and happiness too. And so long as he was alive and breathing, he’d always make sure you were safe.

You were supposed to be a one night stand. He wasn't even going to give you the time of day. You were some secretary or pencil pusher and he was making deals (harassing) your boss.

But you catch his eye, and your boss has you entertain him to make things go smoother.

Thankfully, you two hit it off. Mikey can be charming despite his horrible reputation and you've got such beautiful kind eyes...

One thing leads to another and one unforgettable night you two have sex.

Mikey doesn't call you or contact you after that, and you can take the hint that it didn't mean anything more than just a way to relieve stress.

That would be all fine and dandy if it weren't for the fact that you were puking your guts out and happened to be pregnant.

You can't depend on Mikey, you don't think he'll accept your child and you really don't want them involved in the underworld that Mikey controls.

So you move out of Tokyo to distant family in a different town. You get a job, have your wonderful child and live peacefully in a small town.

Four years down the road, you end up back in Tokyo with your daughter. You owed a friend a favor and you're not too worried.

Your Daughter might be Mikey's clone but Tokyo is a big city and he's a busy man. He must have had countless women before he's not going to recognize your face out of a million others. Plus its been years. You should be safe right?

Wrong. You wake up one morning and (D/N) is gone. You're frantic searching for her, so confused where she could have gone from your friends apartment when it hits you: The Park!

Sprinting over there you're met with a sight you never thought you'd see. Mikey holding your fidgeting daughter in his arms.

If not for the terrifying look in his eyes the scene is almost comical.

The two of them together look like a before and after picture because of how similar they are.

"Y/N, you wanna explain this?" he asks you, and you're more shocked he remembered your name than anything else.

You try to pull it together, you don't want to cause a scene in front of your daughter.

"Th-that's my daughter. She ran off this morning and I've been looking for her."

He tilts his head to the side while he looks you up and down, placing your little girl on his hip.

"Don't you mean our daughter?" there's something dark in his voice and down right malevolent in his eyes.

Panic rises in your chest and you look down at the ground. "I just...I wanted her to be safe. I-I didn't think you'd care."

Your sweet Daughter whimpers for you, not understanding who this strange man is or why he's making her mommy so upset.

"You thought I wouldn't acknowledge my own child? Am I that kind of man to you?"

Silence stretches between you before you finally get the courage to say; "How did you even find us?"

Mikey just stares and holds your girl close before answering; "I heard you were in town. I came looking for you, and found her. Guess this is fate."

What you didn't know was that Mikey did want you, he wanted you so bad it almost drove him crazy. He tried to keep his distance and ignore you, and just when he can't take it anymore he finds out you moved away?

That's fine. It wasn't meant to be. But he had eyes and ears out for you if you ever came back to him. If you willingly walked back into the lions den that must mean you want him to have you.

He hears your back, with a daughter, and that's not a problem. If you have a husband he'll make sure you don't anymore and he doesn't mind a brat, you'll give him some of his own and that will make up for it.

So he goes looking for you, and he's almost to the apartments he knows you're staying at when a little girl catches his eyes. For a second he thought he hallucinated a mirror, but no staring up at him is his own face.

In his heart he knows who this girl is. And he's mystified when she starts talking to him.

"How come the sun's so bright?" she asks him for whatever insane reason.

And the empty abyss in his chest is suddenly full of love and affection. She's perfect. He had a perfect daughter now. Mikey embraces and tells her as much. That she's wonderful and beautiful and so loved.

Then you come sprinting towards them and Mikey suddenly remembers you kept her from him.

Back to the present, he thinks if this had been anyone else he would have killed them. But its you. And thankfully you raised the perfect child and gave him a healthy daughter, so he can't be too mad. He'll take it out on some underlings that left out very important details...

"I'll take responsibility," he tell you grabbing you by the wrist and pulling you so you're face to face, "And you will too, Y/N. We're gonna raise a very happy family. And you're going to give me a very big one. Lots of kids." one for every person he's ever lost.

Oh yeah, my baby Tim. It's been a while since I wrote for him. Also, I'm glad you like my work.

Summary: Tim is crushing on (Y/N), but (Y/N) wants to get back with his ex.

Warnings: fluff, Tim is so in love with (Y/N), both of them are just cute, misunderstands?

(Y/N) and Tim were friends for a long time. (Y/N) is also one of the rare people outside of the family that knew his secret identity and Tim was allowed to crash at (Y/N)'s place if he was too tired to even go back to the manor or to his place.

Sometimes he would put a few things there, just in case his father wanted to make him rest. Tim has a lot of work, can you blame him? (Y/N) would make him some coffee, but when Tim was overworked he made sure to make Tim rest and eat.

Bruce approved of (Y/N) seeing how he cared about Tim and made sure he rested. Bruce had a problem with making sure that Tim rested since he is one stubborn guy. Alfred was happy that Tim has such a good friend to look after him.

But there was on slight issue on Tim's side. A small one. It's called a crush. Tim was so in love with (Y/N) that it hurt. When his crush started, (Y/N) was with his boyfriend and they were happy and Tim wasn't going to become a homewrecker and a horrible friend that breaks a relationship.

No. To Tim, it would be wrong and (Y/N) is happy so why bother with his feelings? Tim was happy and content as (Y/N) was also happy and content. It was all god for 2 years, until (Y/N)'s boyfriend has cheated.

Tim was mad beyond belief and he wanted to go after him and wanted to ruin him completely, but (Y/N) needed him more and he needed comfort more than revenge. And he didn't want to get revenge on his ex, despite being mad and angry at himself.

Tim assured him that nothing can say that the cheating was excused. You can't blame somebody else for your cheating. It's a choice that people make and luckily for Tim, (Y/N) had standards and refused to beg to get back with his ex.

Tim was happy that (Y/N) chose ignore his ex and that he could and would start healing. And that time, Tim wanted to confess, but he couldn't. It would be not only bad timing, but some sort of pressure too.

After being cheated on, your heart needs a break and it needs to heal. Tim didn't want to hurt his friend even more. So he was there for (Y/N) in every way he could be. Tim would be the one making sure he ate, slept, showered and tried to make sure that he wasn't just sleeping all day.

Everyone needs to get some exercise everyday and it would make your body and mind better and clearer too. Everything was fine to Tim and was happy for it to stay that way. Everything was fine, according to Tim.

But nothing can last forever.

Tim and (Y/N) would be hanging out when everything was starting to boil. And boy, was it going to boil over.

" I want to get back with my ex. "

Those eight words made Tim freeze and then whip his head around to look at (Y/N) in pure disbelief. No. Not now. Please God not now. Not when he was slowly gathering the courage to confess to (Y/N). Not now.

" What? " Tim asked, confused beyond belief, but still shocked none the less. " Why? " Tim asked again confused. Why would (Y/N) get his heart broken again? Why? It's a rule that you don't get back with cheaters.

That is an universal rule that is not meant to be broken. Why is (Y/N) thinking about breaking that rule?

" He texted me, asking me to get back together. I thought about it and told him so and after thinking about it, I wanted to see where it leads. " (Y/N) said and Tim felt like somebody took a knife and stabbed him in the chest, right through the heart. And then twisted.

Harshly.

Tim swallowed quietly as he listened to (Y/N). He adjusted on the couch. His throat felt dry beyond belief and he just wanted to fly out of here. Just through the window. Right now.

" As a friend, I can't allow it. He will cheat on you. If he did once, he will do it again. And your heart will be broken for the second time then! " Tim said, raising his voice slightly. He has never done that with his friend, with his (Y/N) and (Y/N)'s eyes widened in shock.

" Tim- " (Y/N) started, but Tim was fired up.

" No! He hurt you, broke your heart and left you for someone else! And you want to go back to him?! " Tim asked, pacing around (Y/N)'s apartment living room. (Y/N) has never seen this type of behavior from Tim. He was normally chill and relaxed.

Never like this.

" You were so- so- Down after the break up! I had to make sure you were taking care of yourself! Just like you did to me! And to think that disloyal bastard broke your heart! " Tim stopped himself and took a deep breath.

If he doesn't do this now, he will lose (Y/N) forever.

And he can't lose the best thing that has happened to him in a long time. He won't let it happen.

" I can treat you better than he can. I love you more than he could ever love you... I would never ever cheat on you. I would rather slit my wrists. And what I'm trying to say is that I love you. I have loved you for a while now and I can understand if you want to go back to your ex- " Tim paused when (Y/N) got up and walked up to Tim.

Tim expected the biggest heartbreak of his life. He has seen many things in his life as a vigilante, faced many foes and enemies, even death.

And that didn't scare him as this moment right now.

(Y/N) did something that would shock him however. Something that Tim could only dream off.

(Y/N) grabbed him by the collar and kissed him. Tim was shocked at first, but wasted no time wrapping his arms around him, bringing him as close as he possibly could. Tim felt like he has entered heaven and he never wanted to leave.

The two kissed for God knows how long, just wrapped up in one another. But human biology needed some air and the two had to part for air, but still remained close to one another.

" So... " Tim started, slowly trying to regain his ability to speak.

" I like you Tim. I think I was I blind enough to not see it. And when I broke up with my ex, I realized I had feelings for you, but I didn't want this to change between us in case you weren't into me." (Y/N) said, looking away from Tim. " When he texted me, I decided to see your reaction. I know, not a smart idea, but I couldn't be direct. I was scared. " (Y/N) admitted and Tim sighed, amused.

He reached up to touch (Y/N)'s cheek, cupping it. (Y/N) leaned into the touch, grateful that Tim is really reciprocating and that his feelings weren't really one sided.

" Well, I'm glad that you like me back too. Now, can we go bed? I'm tired and you have patrol later. "(Y/N) requested and Tim nodded, picking (Y/N) up as if he was a bride.

(Y/N) laughed as Tim carried him and then plopped him down on the bed before taking his clothes off, leaving his boxers on. (Y/N) changed quickly into his pajamas consisting of Tim's shirt and some comfortable sweatpants.

The two quickly got under the covers and Tim has wrapped him into his arms. He just wanted nothing more than this to last forever.

" Tim? " (Y/N) called out into the darkness.

" Yes? "

" I love you. " (Y/N) whispered and Tim buried his head into the back of (Y/N)'s neck.

" I love you too. "

I'm curious- though if this is a spoiler obv feel free to not answer- but I'm curious what changed for wels between tanguish's two encounters :0 like sure he'd said he stopped (or thought he stopped anyway) tanguish from jumping off the aquaduct simply bc falling is the worst way to go, but he also didn't seem too keen on killing him regardless- and then the second time he sees tanguish it's on sight. Is it simply bc he dared show up again, or was there something else that caused the change? :0

I blinked and suddenly there was a drabble here. Whoops!

Hels was such a forgettable place, was the problem. Forgettable concept. People. Thing. Existence. It was too far away. Too abstract. {Until it wasn't, of course.}

Hels had started as just a him issue. His other half. His demon. That's what they were, really, at the end of the day: demons. And he had the first one. Or at least he had the first one on Hermitcraft. And he was a devil of a demon. It was all fun and games at first. Rap battles. Stupid little spats. Arguing the ideas of knighthood. His demon was always meant to lose. That's how demons went. They crawled out of the dark, harassed you a little, and then you vanquished them. Sure, their world was devoid of true death, permanent death, but banishing a demon to hels surely sufficed.

But his demon kept coming back.

Worse. He kept coming back stronger.

Welsknight didn't know much about demons, except that he had one, and in all the books and knights' tales they were supposed to be vanquishable, but his demon wasn't following the rules. Or his demon was making his own rules. Or all those stories lied. {Or the demon was right, and he wasn't actually a loyal, brave and true knight, but demons lied. That's what they did. So that couldn't be true. Could it?}

This was all getting rather complicated, and it really wasn't supposed to be.

Anyway the point of all this was, as was the nature of all personal calamities, Welsknight forgot other people could struggle. Forgot other demons existed. Forgot hels was a place. And places make people and people make places, and if everyone has a struggle then everyone can have a demon, he wasn't special. This wasn't a persecution just for him, just to prove he was worthy, prove he was a knight {and he wouldn't be upset about that, because that would be horrible. Imagine being the only man alive with a personal demon! There are some things that go beyond feats of chivalrous glory and straight to self flagellation and he wasn't going to do that.}

Anyway. Meeting his personal demon on the road, and finding he didn't stand there alone, had been something. Mostly it had been a reminder: hels is a place, you're not alone and that's bad.

Then he'd seen the creature again. Not his demon. The other demon. And that was very bad. Whose demon was it? What was it doing here? And more importantly: how much worse would it get? Because his demon got worse. His demon got much, much worse.

His demon had started as a soft, bitter voice in the back of his head. And then it was a loud, bitter voice. And then a compliant, living one. One that would humor his explorations into why a demon would even persecute him in the first place. One that grew tired of those games with startling rapidity. One that looked at him, a thing made to vanquish demons, and found him altogether unimpressive. More than that, it found him repulsive, but not in the way darkness is repulsed by light but in the way a tiger is repulsed by a songbird with a broken wing, something inherently beneath it, not worth its time.

What a miserable existence, that the nemesis the universe gives you finds you pathetic. Reminds you, at every turn, you're pathetic. A creature that looks like you, speaks like you, acts like you, that wishes with every fiber of its being it wasn't you. A creature made in your image to hate you. And you aren't even worth its time.

And it will only ever get worse.

He thought he had it mastered, or at least cornered. Thought he had it shelved away where it could only harm him when he dragged it out. He nearly had it vanquished and then it walked into his world again unbidden and with company.

Well, he hadn't lied the day him and his demon had met. No one threatens his home. No one threatens his friends.

The Code of Chivalry is very clear.

Thou shalt make war against your enemy without cessation or mercy, for you are the defender of Light and Good in the face of Evil.

Even his demon's tenets demand a price in blood.

At his first meeting with the creature he stayed his hand, because it seemed weak, because it insisted it was harmless. But as it parted, it struck him where his armor was weakest.

You two really are a lot alike.

Welsknight was not his demon.

But he recognized its voice. The mockery of the face. He would warn Tango. And when Tango, like he had been, was clearly beguiled by this thing that pretended to be harmless, tried to protect it. When Tango fell to the same follies Welsknight had with his own creature, believing himself invincible in the face of something even the universe only halfway believed in. When Tango disregarded his advice, spurned his concerns, and continued on his reckless course, Welsknight knew what he had to do.

No crusade is ever undertaken lightly, but some things, for the good of all, must be done.

He just prays he isn't too late.

TBOSAS was a great movie and an even greater miss---here's why:

The problem here is no fault of the movie. It's not that it isn't a good adaptation or that it cut out too many important scenes. The casting was amazing, the acting phenomenal, the writing and plot translated immaculately into the screenplay format, and the ending was tragically beautiful. All of those boxes are ticked. The problem lies with one thing: Coriolanus Snow.

To understand what I mean, I'll bring the main trilogy to the stand. All of the books were written in first person from Katniss's pov. There were things that we as the audience don't know because Katniss doesn't know them and vise versa all do to her inner monologue. But there are also things we as the audience do know that Katniss doesn't because she's an unreliable narrator. She often misreads people because, whether she'll admit it or not, she's highly suspicious of those that aren't obviously weaker than her and is quick to judge in general. Her biases and black and white moral standpoint can be attributed to her environment, ptsd, and, though not confirmed, Autism (source: I'm actually Dr. Autism) or bpd. So, in this case, she's unreliable, but we understand it's not malicious and it was translated well in the movie (i.e. her thinking Peeta wanted her dead, her thinking Peeta is only acting like he's in love with her, her misconceptions about Finnick.)

Coriolanus Snow on the, other hand, is an entirely different case. He's a bad person at the start of the book and that isn't up for debate. His thoughts about Lucy Gray should make you angry, let alone about people who knew and cared for him for years (Tigris and Sejanus). He is also an unreliable narrator, but in a completely different sense than him. While hers is founded in ignorance and defensiveness, his is built in paranoia and narcissism. He's obsessive, possessive, demeaning to any and everyone, and thinks he's owed more than he is and hates anyone that has what he doesn't. We get all this through his inner thoughts as well (him hating the very idea of Lucy Grey being with anyone before him and likening her to a whore---implying she's slept with peacekeepers, wanting to own her in the literal sense of the word hating Sejanus for having basic human empathy, hating looking down on the Plinths who have been nothing but kind to him, so on and so forth). I say he's bad because, though he hasn't done any of the horrible things he thinks about or acts on them is because he didn't have the power or social standing to back them, something he has plenty of as a president. All this to say, the movie lacks that insight into the character that we gain with Katniss. Enough that people that have only watched the movie genuinely believe he was a nice person drove to the brink or thought there was a little gray area in regards to his morality. Enough that people that think the actor is hot will say they like "Coryo" not Snow, or some people send hate mail to the author because they think she tried to humanize him/excuse his behavior, the exact opposite of the point of the book. I don't fault the movie too harshly for this too harshly. Other than having a voice over, they could do very little to convey his every horrid thought. And because of this and Tom's phenomenal acting, Snow was able to manipulate the audience just like everyone else he fucked over.

Snow is a narcissist who can't wrap his mind around people genuinely being kind while having no ulterior motives, because he would never do that from the kindness of his heart. He thinks everyone is trying to back stab him and want to turn on him and are out to get him or are trying to embarrass him because that is what he would do if he was in their position. Unlike Katniss, he can read people and he can act his ass off, but unlike Katniss, he can't see the best in people because he doesn't want to/it doesn't benefit him. He had many opportunities to do the right thing or the kind thing and actively chose not to.

He, more than anyone in the Capitol, even more than Sajanus, should know what the Districts go through. He grew up poor, starved, and was forced to grow up too soon. He knows what it means to have nothing, be starved, and go into the arena and almost be killed. Yet, he looks down on them and sends children who were younger than him when he went into the arena, to their deaths because it benefits him.

He's a horrible person. He's always been bad, but he strove to be worse. I'm not saying the movie wasn't able to portray this in it's own way, but since it's not as obvious and in your face if you're too focused on how cute you think his face is, you can miss it. You'll find reasons to justify his actions just like he does and, ironically, become like his inner monologue where he continuously made himself the victim in almost every scenario.

Again, great movie! Fantastic even, my I beg of you, read a book. Or watch a youtube essay about it.

Blog Update:

Hi, it's me, Loyal.

I just want to say first and foremost, I really do love (parts of) the fandom and I'm not going anywhere.

I will, however, not be around as much. One, I'm about to enter an all day intensive treatment plan so I'll literally just be on in the evening. Two, as much as I'm going to keep writing and creating, I have no intention of interacting publicly with fandom as much as I have.

I can't. It's actually fucking insane that it's gotten to this point. I made tribute post and because I used lyrics from Dream's song, I got harassed. The people doing this, acting like this, thinking this way are insane.

So in case it's not clear: Based on my personal lived experience and some information that's come to light, I still enjoy Dream's content. You can approach me personally, off anon, if you want to know my reasoning. If you dislike me for this, that's fine. But I'm done trying to walk this fine line just so I don't get people threatening me, my kids, and my pets. Just so people stop sending me the city I live in, so they stop digging up twelve year old tweets, so they stop calling me slurs and suicide baiting me.

That's absolutely insane. It's horrible. It's disgusting and I was honestly just sitting here, taking it, because I'm terrified of upsetting people and losing friends if I say 'yeah, I'm excited for a new manhunt and I also this song helped me and my kids process my grief'. And the worst part is, it's not an unfounded fear. People have done the most vile shit to me. People I thought were friends jumped on me instead of those harassing me.

I just want to post about Techno and c!Rivals duo and not worry about whether or not this post is going to get me hate. I don't want to worry about how random discord servers are talking about me.

Because that's fucking batshit. Not the worrying, but what these people are doing and I'm tired of letting this effect me. I have enough going on in my personal life. My partner of 15 years almost died. We almost lost our house. I should be able to come online and post about the silly minecraft guys I like and their RP and lore without censoring myself out of fear of literally being doxxed and cyber stalked. I should be able to talk about the racism that effects me without being afraid people will make it about cc drama or calling me slurs or erasing my identity as an Ojibwe person.

The people doing this are the problem. It hurts that so many people are part of this, it really does. But I can't keep letting it get to me. I've always done my best to be kind. I haven't been perfect, especially not lately, because all this hate and stress has gotten to me. I've lashed out. I shouldn't have.

And I shouldn't have had to deal with all that shit in the first place. I hope no one else does. It's terrifying and draining and I'm done.

So I intend to post the things I enjoy, I intend to reblog my friends' art, write the Emerald duo and Rivals duo fics I want to. I want to post about the Syndicate and the new manhunt when it comes out. That's what I'm going to do.

Asks are staying off for the moment because people are too happy to make burner blogs but I'll probably turn them back on at some point as I love answering lore and headcanon questions and, again, it's fucked up I can't enjoy an aspect of the site and fandom because people can't just leave me alone.

To those people: Get help. You're harassing someone because you think they deserve it and that's the most fucked up thing.

To everyone else: So so many of you have been amazing. You've been supportive, you've been kind. That kindness and support speaks volumes and I love you all. I genuinely love you. Dreblr, you've been here for me for over a year at this point and I cannot thank you enough. You are the best part of fandom as far as I'm concerned. And to Dtblr, y'all have come to support me countless times and that means the world to me, it really does. As for all my fellow Rivals duo fans, you people are worth your weight in gold for the joy you bring. A special shout-out to @vpofcookies because you've been here since the beginning, practically, and I love you. There's more but you know who you are.

Anyway, I've been carrying this for awhile and I'm tired. I'm no longer going to give any amount of thought to the people determined to drag me down and harass me constantly.

My best advice is stop focusing on the things and people you hate and instead focus on what you love. That's what I plan to do, from here on out.

If anything were to ever be released from Peeta's POV during the series, I think what I would be most interested in is what was going through his head during The Mockingjay Trial.

Peeta's thoughts during Mockingjay as a whole would be interesting. Peeta is ultimately cunning. We all joke about how Peeta would've ran 13 if he'd been the one that was saved, but I can't imagine Snow was having a particularly fun time with him either. Peeta knows how to communicate with the Capitol. I wonder if part of the reason Peeta was abused so horribly was not to torture Katniss, but because it's very possible there was a real possibility Peeta could've won the war from the inside by turning Snow's people against him with his own personal showmanship. "If it weren't for the baby" is a perfect example of how capable Peeta could be of doing just that.

I imagine once Peeta begins to regain his mind, it doesn't take long for him to realize the multiple problems that exist within president Coin. The problems Gale decided not to acknowledge in the proper manner.

Gale and Katniss are incredibly close. Now, I know we all like to poke our fun at Gale, (I'm definitely guilty of it,) but Gale is a genuinely complex character. He was a kid too. That doesn't take away from how he still did wrong, but you cannot look at him from a black and white lense when legitimately viewing his character. He does have depth.

Gale and Katniss are close because they are similar. They lose their fathers in the same accident, they learn to survive the same way. Katniss speaks throughout the series of how similar they are. It would not at all be impossible for Peeta to assume Katniss was radicalized the same way Gale was since he remembers their relationship despite the hijacking.

I think this is what hurts Peeta the most during the voting for the final Hunger Games. Peeta is at a severe disadvantage to reading Katniss still. His mind is better, and most likely he had already begun therapy in seriousness and was already improving mentally. But he and Katniss have not begun to grow back together yet. He no longer has access to her obvious tells. And yes, Katniss's thoughts are obvious to her inner circle. To everyone else, she is a mystery. Katniss loves him, but he is no longer in her inner circle at this point.

I don't think Peeta would realize the truth of Katniss's vote until she shoots Coin instead of Snow, which I think is the point for many to realize the amount of deep set problems there truly were with Coin. Most of the time it takes someone doing something extreme to make people pause and think.

Peeta is already having to put the pieces back together in his mind about Katniss. I think The Mockingjay Trial would probably be the tipping point of Peeta's recovery due to the testimonies, the evaluations. Something I've wondered is if Peeta was even allowed to testify since he had been hijacked. Honestly, I would assume that he wasn't. Leaving him off to the sidelines, forced to watch as someone he knows he used to be close to be examined live for the nation to see, to be picked and torn apart. I imagine that maybe the general public was not allowed to see any footage, but based off of Plutarchs offer for Katniss to be on a new singing program during their final conversation in 'Mockingjay,' it seems Katniss was correct in thinking there was most likely a live broadcast of her in the Training Center available to watch. Most likely Haymitch was allowed a peak. And through Haymitch, probably Peeta. I don't think it would be until the entire nation is forced to learn the "truth" about The Mockingjay that Peeta has the same moment as Katniss has in 'The Hunger Games,' when suddenly he realizes just how much he does know about her.

I would think this time would be when Peeta and Haymitch also make peace with their relationship as well. Most likely there were probably a few, very hard to have conversations between the two of them during the trial. About Katniss, about Haymitch's promise to both of them during 'Catching Fire,' about being unable to save him.

Peeta returns to District 12 at the earliest opportunity allowed. Probably for a few reasons. It's his home, it is ultimately where he belongs. But I also think there's probably a very large part of him that wants confirmation for what he's sure he already knew. Her thoughts when shooting Coin. When she voted yes. I think The Mockingjay Trial is probably when Peeta decided he wanted to be her friend again. That it was when he finally remembered her. And I'd just really like to see that, even as a short story.

So, I'm not gonna lie, you had a long way to walk with this one.

It's a known fact Seonghwa is not the best at making friends, he has some insecurities, now, can you imagine if he has to talk to someone he has a crush on?

Of course he needed some Wooyoung magic to get you to talk to him, he was way too shy to approach you first.

There were too many possibilities, you could be in a relationship already or liking someone else already and he couldn't just ask out of nowhere. SO, he befriended you with the pure intention of being just your friend, he did want that, he wanted to close to you and to get to know you better.

But it was harder than he thought.

You two clicked right away, you have similar hobbies and taste for music, it was easy to talk to you, the real problem was he was falling way to fast and way too deep and didn't know that to do with himself.

As your boyfriend, things were so much easier. The heavy weight was lifted of his shoulders and he was able to relax around you.

He'd drop the whole "cool guy persona" he thought he needed to woo your heart over and be more of himself very fast tho, so don't worry about it.

Now, he is used to be the one taking care of everyone and he wholeheartedly doesn't expect anything in return, yet, here you are, taking as much care of him too.

He's mushy in your hands whenever you do it, even if it's subtle like fixing his hair or brushing something off his clothes. Acts of survice it's his main love language, after all.

Also if you cook for him ( or get delivery before he arrives home if you don't cook) he's a goner. Food is a love language on itself, one he is quite fluent.

He'll cook your favorites foods and you better bet he's buying a cook book full of recipes from your home country (he doesn't trust internet recipes to get everything perfect).

He's a very sweet lover in general, he just wants you to know every single day how much he appreciates you and your relationship with him.

Also one of the biggest with petnames!! I see him being more of a classic one, so 자기야 will be his favorite (an equivalent to honey), also darling, just because he'll like the sound of it.

I do believe a big fight will be rare for you both. Mostly because he rather straight up tell you if there's something bothering him and talk through it.

He hates yelling, big fights, hurtful words, it's his nightmare. He doesn't see himself as someone who does that nor he wants to do it.

If a heated discussion were to happen, he'll just hear you out first, although he wants to interrupt from time to time.

After you finish, he tries to calm both you and him first. These situations stress him and nothing good comes out of that.

Then, he'll tell his side and would take what you said in consideration to have an agreement.

If it's serious of course!

Because is it's not?? He's full on taking personally as if you just insulted his mother, but you just said you don't like his favorite flavor of pizza.

And I mean pacing around the room, hands on his hair, asking himself how he was able to date someone with a horrible taste for pizza and so on, until he can't anymore and starts to laugh.

I see him as someone really private in general, so although everyone close to him would know he is a relationship, he wouldn't expose too much of it to his parents nor to the boys in the beginning.

With time, he'll introduce you to both of his families little by little, until you are interacting with them like you always been there.

An important detail! He's still an extravert and he has a lot of energy to spend. It's a wild ride, but he'll appreciate if you match his energy and go with the flow.

Also if you also a lego person or a star wars person? He'll love to share his hobbies with you. Yes, that means movie marathon on his breaks and he'll let you build with him, he just loves you that much.

He rather stay home for safety, but when you two go out, he searches carefully for a quiet and private place, where you can enjoy each others company in peace.

Kim Hongjoong (김홍중)

This dude right here? No problem taking to you at all. He'll be the one starting everything in your relationship without even realizing it.

The funny thing is, he's the type to fall hard, but not fast.

He is the definition of friends to lovers. He may feel something, but he'd brush it off as a fleeing thing. It wasn't.

He was scared to say something because he didn't want to come off like those dudes that befriend a girl because they were interested and she wasn't available for whatever reason. He wasn't trying to wait for an opportunity "to attack" or something like that.

Still, he is not a patient person and he reached his limit quite fast, specially if you don't pick up the hints he's dropping.

I see him being a bit shyer as your boyfriend in the beginning, just because of the change in the dynamics between you two.

He was the one who initiated, yet he still had to remind himself that he WAS allowed to touch you more and express how much you mean to him now, since he was holding some of that in.

But omg, now that you two are together??? He's not holding anything in at this point. Again impacient man, but also because he's falling hard than he thought he would.

We know he's not that much into physical affection, so you waited for the green flag on his side for that and he did realize soon he enjoyed a lot more when it was with you, actually, he craved it.

I can see him sticking to a nickname of yours or the classic 자기야 to call you. I don't see him that into petnames.

He's love language is quality time and acts of service, which is quite ironic since he doesn't have as much time available as he would want to.

Still, he is a dedicated boyfriend. He works his schedule to give you at least 2 hours everyday, sometimes it's easier and you have more time together and other times it's harder and it's less time.

When he is at the studio, he likes to make little productivity sessions with you, so you are able to be close to him and still do your thing as he does his.

Also, he is passionate about art, any kind of art, especially the one's he creates, so share that with you before anyone else it's his ultimate demonstration of love and trust.

He trusts you to give him honest opinions and takes, but also to be vulnerable with you, to show a more sensitive side of himself, because he knows you'd understand and listen.

We know he's not the greatest at taking care of himself, so if you choose to do that willingly, he's so so thankful.

He does feel bad to give you extra trouble, even he doesn't in your point of view. He tries to be better so you don't have to do as much as you do for him.

I'm so sorry but if you reach a point of really fighting, it's going to be bad.

Like, he usually is good at managing a heated discussion. He knows when he's getting really frustrated and most of time he kinda pauses everything and takes a break from you and the situation. He always comes back to finish it with a lighter heart.

But sometimes he won't do that for multiple reasons, stress, tiredness, etc. If you really want to fight because of something, ok, great, you're are fighting then. That's his mentality, because he's tired of holding back.

He's a stubborn mf, so he'd fight with every fiber of his body and he'd say it whatever it is like he's 100% in the right.

It's like a explosion really. Also he's the type to recall things and throw it in your face. I'm sorry, he's petty like that.

He could be the one apologizing first, but you have to approach him first. Again, stubborn. He'd think he's right, until you start to talk and then reality will hit him like a truck.

He'd make the effort to fix his wrongs as long as you're willing to do the same, so it would work out.

He would also waits longer than Seonghwa to tell more about you to his members and family. He wants to feel like he's 100% secure in your relationship to do that and that for him means time.

The boys would be little shits tho so he gives up little by little. They regret that, because now they'd have to listen Hongjoong talking about you all the time and he doesn't even realize it's too much, but when he does, he keeps going on purpose.

His perfect day it's you two together, although he rather a quiet and secure place like his or your home, or his studio if it's late in the night.

Okay, I had been meaning to write this for awhile and what best time to do it than at 3am in Brazil right?

Anyway, time for me to be ill about Forever which will be under a read more cause you guys know how much I like to ramble.

Okay first of all, I'm specifically talking about Forever post happy pills arc.

When he woke up from his coma he was meet with a bit of chaos, a lot of people were at the order during this time but still Forever managed to thank the people he wanted to and even made promises of "bringing your color back" to Bad they hugged and then he managed to talk with Pac and let him know that for him, Pac is a hero.

After this there is the chaos of the event but Forever is quiet comparing with how he usually his, he takes time to resolve everything and Bagi is found, they go on a walk and he is hit with a frying pan, she tells him she doesn't care about his missing son and he just accepts her words, too deep into his own head to really retaliate. And then, at the end of the day he goes back to the "moon house" and takes his first step towards healing, he breaks stone Richas. Which takes a lot out of him.

The next day when he wakes up he is overjoyed, he sees that his beloved sister is back and maybe, just maybe he could have someone to hear him out, but when he arrives he notices she has been crying and when she says it was because of her knee hurting, he didn't believe her for a second, but didn't want to be push, and then she asked about the drugs she heard about him using and if he was okay and what can he do but say that he will be someday? He can't worry Baghera when she looks so much worse than he does. So his wellbeing is not important.

And then the flower thing, Forever is not someone to show he cares so directly, he knows who he cares about it but he rarely shows it but now? He is making an effort to at least try to cheer up his sad friends with flowers, he wants to investigate Bad to figure out what's going on with him, he wants to bring his colors back, he wants everyone he cares about to be happy again even if he is still screaming from pain inside.

Then that meeting with cucurucho happens, on the old times he used to joke and laugh even during those meetings but not now, now he is tense, his lands probably shake a bit and his voice is carefully crafted to not show much emotions, Cucurucho trusts those pills on his hands again and for a moment, a very brief one he thought about them, thought about how he would let himself become lost in then if Richas was truly dead. Then, he sees old pictures of him and Richas together and he decides against using the pills ever again, he hides then away, under a fireplace so if he ever gets tempted to touch them again, his hands will burn with the fire. But he is keeping them safe to make antidotes with incase shit ever happens again, he refuses to let Pac's work go to waste.

He refuses to not be himself again, to lose his agency like that.

Right now, his only focus is helping his friends who are very not well, he can take care of himself the others are always a priority and they will remain the priority for the rest of his life. His pain being buried deeper and deeper, not cause nobody would be willing to hear it but because he isn't willing to talk about it.

So he tries, he tries to joke and laugh with his friends, to forget the horrible reality but they all can notice how his smile is not really there, how his laugh is a lot more quieter now.

The old Forever is gone, what remains is the most self sacrificial part of himself that would rather putting everyone else's problems before his own.

Because for him, he is nothing without his family.

For have a second I thought you said Arthur cheating and I would have been like, nooo. This is a longer one because you gave me three prompts.These have also been added to the Charthur tag by request. Please let me know if there is another ship that should be added. Prompt here for everyone! J: Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?) - Given that he has low confidence and how humble he is when it comes to love, I feel like it's more of a "Oh, of course she found someone, they are younger/more attractive/more well off/etc than me." However, that doesn't mean he doesn't feel it. He tends to be a bit more weary in camp or saloons. Camp because it's something he's picked up from others and it makes sense that people know that you two are in a relationship. At a saloon, he's thinking of potential "low lives". However, places like the nicer parts of St. Denis can trigger him as well because he feels like he can't give the reader what they deserve. He might say a self deprecating comment, or he may say a sarcastic comment to the person flirting and snake an arm around your waist. It depends on his mood. E - Ending (if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) I think it would only be if he was feeling insecure and thought they were better off with someone else. Maybe he sees reader having a good time with Sean, Sadie or Lenny and he feels as though he can't provide that for the reader, so it's best to let them go. Arthur is very tolerant so I don't see it as something that is small or a bad habit. He had a very complicated relationship with Mary and regardless of one's opinion of her, she did have a lot of power over him. I think with the reader, it would be the same and the reader would have to be careful not to take advantage of him. He's a people pleaser with more than just Dutch and Hosea and that would include the reader. I think if he started acting low honor-ish or at least engaging in more criminal behavior, he would think that you don't need to be dragged down by him. Then, the talks of "I'm too old. I have a lot of baggage. There are more honest men out there." etc. begins. Unless reader did something horrible, that's the only way I see Arthur ending it. To him, break ups are more likely a "him" problem, not a you problem. Bonus: Getting back together: I really don't see him actually pursuing that on his own. He'd have to get a lot of hints about it first from you. He's not "going to make a fool" of himself again. Hosea, Charles, Lenny or Abigail would have to talk sense into him or the reader would have to make it clear that they want him. It's not the gushy answer you may want, but meta wise, it's the realistic answer. I like to combine the two. It would be awkward at first, quiet conversations that are pretty surface level until he blurts something out about what he feels when the tension becomes too much, or if he says some unexpectedly funny comment. Once that first step is taken, he's still apprehensive, but gains his confidence back from there. Again, reader has to be VERY communicative and clear with him. From there, it would be going out on rides together, just the two of you, or exploring a new place he found. Maybe he'd take you hunting, or to town if you really wanted to. It would be slow, but if you/reader loved Arthur, it would be worth it.

Uhm...Abbacchio is rather...Contradictory when it comes to this, to be honest.

This is because, like I mentioned before, he has an hard time fully accepting that he's fallen for someone, even after confessing to you for a bit, and he categorically refuses to come off as clingy or obsessive.

On the other hand...This man is deeply afraid of losing you. He's already lost someone who was dead to him, and he would never forgive himself if the same thing were to happen to you.

So, at the end of the day, he WILL be a bit possessive, but never in an explicit way. So, you may either not notice, or if you do, he'll be able to deny everything.

Something Bruno truly values in a relationship is reciprocated trust and respect. He feels safe in being your partner, as he deeply believes you'd never leave him, and he'd never leave you, so he doesn't feel the need to be obsessive over you.

Besides, he cares about group harmony, tries his best to act as a mediator and make everyone get along. He wants you to care about the ones around you too and doesn't wish to only keep you to himself, despite how tempting it may seem sometimes.

Although Bucciarati does check on you quite often, whether it's through messages or phone calls, if he gets even a minute of break from an important...Ahem, business trip. He has your safety at heart and worries about you a lot when he's far away.

Listen, I'm not going to deny it: Narancia is the sweetest, cutest, most affectionate boyfriend you'll ever find, but he will be very clingy and rather possessive too from time to time. He's this way without even realizing it, he just cares about you more than anything else.

Once you become part of his life, he can hardly even imagine a world that you're not in. He'll go in full ass denial if you were to brought up even the remote possibility of the two of you not being together forever.

Needless to say, it obviously comes from his trauma. This boy will do anything to see you smile, to always make sure that you're cared for and that you have some company when you're feeling down...Or you know, just in general. He just...Wants to be with you, he's being left behind and abandoned by too many people, his mind just can't stand the thought of losing you too.

If he does get a bit overbearing...Try to talk things out. Narancia will always be willing to listen, even if it may hurt at first. But at last, he'll realize that if he really wants you to be happy, you're going to need some space too.

This man genuinely does not understand why you'd ever choose to be with him. I'll tell you more, he wouldn't get why you would even just talk to him, when he specifically acts to keep everyone away and not let anyone get close.

Why do you insist in being with him so bad, no matter how much he had tried to push away, and even knowing about his self destructive habits? He thinks you deserve someone more...Functional than him, you could say.

What amazes him the most, is how you still remained by his side after eventually finding out about his past. He thought that telling you this, you would have inevitably started to see him as a horrible person...Yet you didn't.

I think that with Bruno such problems would hardly ever emerge. He does his hardest to be a good partner to you despite his job and considers you his equal, he thinks you're both deserving of love.

Don't take this the wrong way though, it's not that he doesn't think you're special, he really does. He just feels a very deep respect for you and is faithful you feel the same way. He's truly glad to have you by his side, but he also sees that you seem rather happy with him, so he doesn't think he needs to worry about him being "undeserving" of your love...

...Most of the time. This is because Bucciarati's heart can't help but ache every time he tells you he won't come back that night, or that he doesn't know when he'll he able to leave his office. He knows it pains you too, and this is the only time he wishes he was someone...A bit different, someone who could give you all the affection you could ever wish for.

Please, show him your patient side and that you're not mad at him, when he comes back. It'll be more enough to soothe his worries away.

This boy doesn't really...Feel very deserving of love in general. He's deeply scared and scarred by negative experiences. Despite how much he doesn't want to think about it, he does live in fear of you growing tired of his presence, leaving to find someone better.

And to be honest...He wouldn't even blame you. He knows he's not as charming as Bruno, as flirty as Mista, as bright as Fugo or as tough as Abbacchio. Why would you...Why would you ever choose him? He doesn't think he has anything to offer you that you wouldn't be able to find somewhere else. He's aware that he can be childish and annoying, even if he doesn't mean to be.

Some cuddles and comfort words will be more than enough to distract him from these thought though. When you're there, he just knows that everything is okay.

The House of Usher and the cardinal virtues

I thought to myself it's no good to whine about slotting characters into boring reductive categories without a good rebutal, so here's a dose of slightly more interesting archetypes.

Prospero reflects the cardinal virtue of Diligence and its mirror the sin of Sloth ("But he has an orgy so it has to be lust," by god you're so boring) He is the only Usher who tries to make anything of value. When Camille goes on her little spiel about how Ushers don't make stuff, she's not wrong. Perry got pretty ruthlessly shot down when he was presenting his ideas for trying to make value and start a night club chain, rather than just taking credit for someone else's work like all of his siblings and his dad. But he was at least trying. His drive to prove himself and gain respect is how he gets himself into the whole mess. However, it is the act of not doing his due diligence that kills him.

Camille has an interesting one because while breaking into a lab facility to expose mistreatment of animals would seem like the cardinal virtue of kindness, she's only there to get one over on her sister. The inverse of Kindness is Envy, and for as important as her role is as the family spin doctor, Camille is valued the least. Everyone suspects Perry when they hear about an informant, but that's because he's an idiot baby. Victurine is useful with her heart mesh implant, Napoleon took the role of the "chill fun sibling", and the other two are original Ushers, so Camille is left as the unfavored child.

Napoleon tried to buy his way out of his problem with Charity. He could have come home with a different cat entirely and told his boyfriend he was looking in shelters for Pluto and accidentally fell in love. Name it Mars, let the boyfriend chalk it up to a weird grief response. Bummer Pluto never came home. Verna would have had him trip over the thing on the stairs in the middle of the night and that would have been that. Instead, everything was transactional as he maximized what he could get out of his relationships for the least amount of effort. The boyfriend can live with him, the boyfriends cat can move in too, but as soon as that becomes even the slightest bit more effort (like when boyfriend wants to meet the family, or curb the drug use, or the cat brings home a dead thing) Napoleon wants it gone from his life.

Victurine likewise could have had a painless clean death had she mustered up the Humility to say that the device didn't work. Her demise, unlike her younger siblings, was a compilation of smaller shitty decisions and white lies. She could even recognize that each choice was morally wrong, but it was little choices that were easier to brush off. A dead monkey, a foraged signature, a rightfully concerned patient reassured with platitudes. Even before she was scrubbing blood off the floor to Bonnie Tyler, her inability to admit her choices were flawed was getting her in trouble.

Tamralane with her perfectly manicured curated life, is the one to take Temperance to its furthest extreme. I think it was Atwood who wrote about women and the internal voyeur to preform for, but I'm not going to Google it for a post about horror characters losing their minds and dying horribly. She lives under a personal panopticon of her own expectations and can never allow herself to experience her own life lest she fall short. Her wealth rather than mitigating this exacerbates the issue, giving her access to any and every distance she could possibly want. Death by mirrors isn't so much her going insane as it is the culmination of the life shes built for herself.

(Plus, I know her lonely evening was meant to be ~spooky~ but babe, that is literally just ADHD. Can't remember where you put the thing? Can't remember doing the thing? CAN'T SLEEP?! DOES EVERYONE HATE YOU AND THINK YOU'RE AN INSANE BITCH FOR PERFECTLY VALID REASONS?! Looks like Adderall for you).

Fraudrick. You dickwad. No Patience to allow your very injured and traumatized wife explain herself. The inverse of Patience is Wrath. Demonstrated that one in spades. I'm on Verna's side on this one. Pliers, really?

(His wife's name is fucking Mori. As in momento mori.)

Which leaves Madeline and Rodrick. What's a Gothic horror story without some really fucking weird and unsettling sibling dynamic? Dull, that's what. Anyway, never letting anything touch them or impede them in their lust for power and wealth offers a strange sort of Chastity. There's no love, not for the kids or Annabelle Lee that could touch them, no moral they wouldn't overturn, no value they wouldn't abandon. Madeline values her freedom above all else but she spent her life bound to her brother. They wouldn't even spare each other in ruthless pursuit of just a little more power.

So yeah, bummer for August Dupain that he wound up against the most supernaturally fucked up family that ever lived.

i've said it so many times before. but i'll say it again. conrad was fucking evil in the car scene. and if jere had done that he'd be murdered. i just don't get how anyone can see that as him being hot or funny. i can admit petty conrad is alright "sounds like an aunt julia problem" "i'm sorry my grandpa didn't love you as much as he loved my mom but i'm not surprised (idk the exact quote)" and i like julia. it has nothing to do with being team conrad or team jeremiah. he's legit just a fucking dick.

he's a dick to belly obviously, but i'm specifically talking abt jeremiah here bc belly is an afterthought. he didn't wanna yell at her, he already did that. he wanted to make jeremiah feel worthless, and like he didn't deserve to be chosen. and he did. "jeremiah just too insecure, he can't believe belly chose him" BC CONRAD WAS MAKING HIM FEEL THAT WAY. "but... finch is fun" knowing that that's a huge insecurity for jere wasn't funny and it wasn't just petty. it was genuinely horrible for him to say. he wanted jeremiah to know that everyone else thought conrad was better, and conrad knows (thinks) he's better. he wants to remind jeremiah that belly loved the idea of amazing, smart, strong, emotional, mysterious conrad, and (even though this isn't true, it's jeremiah's insecurities bc of adam and susannah and the fact everyone fucking worships conrad) he's not amazing and smart and strong and emotional and mysterious. "i remember last year it was seven" bc he wants to tell jeremiah that he wasn't serious about those people so how can he be serious about belly. he wants him to think that belly doesn't want something serious with him bc she knows his history and knows he hasn't been in serious relationships before her. "who's the better kisser" (which, bffr you do not want the answer to that question conrad) bc he wants jeremiah to know that he's better than him. in all the ways that matter and don't, he wants him to know he's better and belly knows it too. and obviously those things aren't true. conrad doesn't even think these things. he's literally just a manipulative dick. like i don't think he's terrible or unredeemable, but he is manipulative. he always pulls out insecurities or stuff he knows will hurt the other person in fights. in this one it hurt bc jeremiah thought all of that was true and that conrad really thought that. in the party fight it hurt bc even though jeremiah knew it wasn't true, he knew conrad wanted to hurt him. someone that he has had to pick up the pieces after his entire life, someone he looks up to and most of all cares about, wants to hurt him. that's fucked.

anyway, lots of words to say fuck conrad for the car scene, it's so much deeper than some petty stuff. also, conrad is a shitty brother. i don't care. he is. the fisher family dynamic is that adam fucks it all up. susannah refuses to acknowledge that things are fucked up. conrad carries the burden of it being fucked up. jeremiah has to cheer everyone up, pick up the pieces when conrad drops them (which isn't his fault he shouldn't be carrying that burden but just bc it's not his fault doesn't mean it can't hurt jeremiah) and glue them back together, put on a happy face, and deal with everyone neglecting him. let's not pretend conrad has excuses jeremiah doesn't. "conrad had to carry this burden" and jeremiah had to do fucking everything else.

Something that has been on my mind throughout this whole Yandere! Miguel O’Hara, is the idea of a Spider-Girl Gabriella O’Hara in another reality that lost her dad in that reality, her canon event, that made her become Spider-Girl, and Miguel (Earth-928B) becoming a Yandere parent. He lost his baby girl once, he’s not going to loose her again.

The problem with that in of terms of like me writing is, I prefer when the focus of my stories is the reader insert character and that would kind of be basically sort of making an OC just about, but I've definitely thought about like, yandere Miguel and friends looking after a Reader who may be still growing up or, Miguel is in his 30s or 40s so even a Reader in their 20s can still be a sort of student with him (I'm 26 ok let me live, I'm still considered young right 🥺🥺🥺 I need to be someone's baby girl too 🥺🥺🥺)

I keep gravitating back to "Miguel who lost his wife and child x reader who was spiderwoman 2099 who lost her Miguel and child and both of you did the whole tried to replace my family thing" and also like, imagine Miguel bonding with you because you can relate to his experiences more personally and intimately than anyone else and one day a second Miguel shows up and unlike "the main one" MiguelDos DID have a version of you as a partner and he's trying to convince you to come home with him. Like imagine your Miguel is so incredibly attached and protective of you and he sees you're spending a suspicious amount of time with the new version of him and, yeah he's jealous, but he's worried about potential consequences so he goes to talk to you and before he can, you start first, "Miguel, the other you has to go, he wants me to try and break canon and go home with him and--"

Miguel just being absolutely furious (not with you, never you) because you've been through a horribly traumatic experience and it is so strong and brave that you're still going (he would know, he's doing the same thing too) and now some copycat asshole is trying to sway you? Take you away? Miguel hears you say "he thinks because I don't have a home universe anymore that I exist outside my own canon and that I could come to his home universe and he wants a baby" and Miguel just sees RED

Maybe he even starts checking security footage and he can see that like, yeah Miguel2 has some sort of genuine affection for you but it's obvious he is also loakey manipulating you, trying to get you drunk and in bed, getting you tipsy to try and convince you to come with him, shit could you imagine Miguel 1 bursting into his/your shared office to see Miguel 2 basically trying to peel your clothes off while you're barely coherent if not outright unconscious

He'll beat the bastard bloody is what he'll do. Miguel had definitely developed his own obsession for you but for some random loser to be actively trying to use your pain for his own benefit, to try and BREAK CANON and kill everyone just to be selfish? He knows wanting to, but he's glad you came to him, trusting him enough to look up at him with tears in your eyes, "please, I can't take him being here, he's saying too much, he wants too much from me" because he knows it hurts, he doesn't know what to do if a carbon copy of his wife showed up begging for his love (although the more time he spends with you, the less he finds himself thinking about her and more about you)

Reader 2099 being devastated because since she lives in Miguel's dimension now but isn't FROM there she doesn't really have any documentation so she can't even try and adopt. Miguel realizing that, hey, maybe that other him of his had a point, maybe there IS a purpose for you becoming attached to Nueva York. It's not like moving on after a canon event is inherently changing one. Since he's already lost his daughter, and can't take someone else's, could he... make his own? But what if it breaks canon somehow? But the more he thinks about ìt and the more he gets closer to you the more he wants a fat chubby little baby of his own so fucking bad and he's just about ready to take a leap of faith with you and test this theory out

But yeah like, apparently the Spiderman canon events typically happen as teenagers so I've also thought of,you know, Reader being where they are in the template, a bullied high school kid with social isolation and issues at home. Miguel just minding his own business when a little birdy/spider whispers in his ear that "the new kid he's been looking after needs some help" and he goes to see and you're just sniffling and crying with a black eye because there are bullies at school. Or even worse, your black eye is from some attempt at a relationship, and you brush it off "oh no, they just lost their temper, it's MY fault they got so mad" and Miguel knows you don't have proper parental figures and he essentially adopts you. Miguel being especially weak to a female teen Reader though because, gosh, he wonders what his daughter would be like at your age, would the two of you have been friends, it's almost like helping to raise you helps heal the trauma of losing his little girl.

You have a Spanish class you struggle with and you're shyly asking Miguel, just offhandedly, "hey as a bilingual speaker do you have any tips 🥺 I'm really struggling and I feel dumb" and suddenly here's 'Tio Miguel' to help you. Any Spiders from your age group think they can make a move on you, they're mistaken and greeted by a towering glowering fatherly figure, and god forbid if he finds an older man being creepy with you, he will all but throw them into traffic

God this man has infested my brain so bad, I'm literally taking a t break from weed for like a week so I can treat myself by going to the ATSV in theaters since I've been so stressed and money finally isn't as tight and. Hhhhh I want to see a pretty movie with hot people and good music on the big screen 😩🥵❤️ by all means keep bugging me with any ideas or questions or feedback about ideas because I'm getting lost in the yandere spiderverse sauce

//Hey everyone, Mod Bubbles here.

//I come to you today with some more real talk, the product of which is kinda heavy but also really important, especially for this time of year. It's about mental health, bad relationships, and toxicity, so if you'd rather skip it, I understand.

//But I wanna talk about this because it concerns a piece of media Timeline Anon brought to my attention, which has been going around lately (at the time of this writing) with a really damaging message. I wanna make it clear why it's wrong and you shouldn't pay it any heed.

//This one goes out to everyone with rejection sensitivity and fears about how others perceive them. You guys are actually cool.

//The media in question is a controversial comic called "Communication is Key", which...I mean, I frankly don't want to get into anything about who wrote it or why, I just want to focus on what the comic itself is about.

//It's one of those simplistic comics that's supposed to teach a life lesson. In this case, Green and Red are having a discussion about Red's behavior and how they've been avoiding Green because they're concerned about their friendship, worrying that they're coming off as clingy or annoying, so they haven't brought it up. Green points out that they've had this conversation before and that just because they've had interactions like that in the past doesn't mean Green would act like that.

//...And then Green leaves, saying they can't be friends with Red anymore. Green says, after having this conversations over and over, they can't be bothered to deal with this "toxic" behavior and the lesson is supposed to be that some people are too much to deal with and it's not your responsibility to change them.

//Twitter proceeded to rip into the comic's horrible presentation and message. And for once, I completely agree with that. I'm gonna count the ways in which this comic is awful.

Green and Red don't even feel like friends here. It doesn't showcase any kindness or empathy, no believable humanity and nothing about why they even became friends in the first place. It just showcases Green's resentment with Red's problems and then expects us to side with them because it causes Green issues.

Red's "toxicity" instead feels like serious rejection sensitivity, social anxiety, intrusive thoughts, depression or some other serious mental health problem. That isn't a toxic behavior, it's a problem that requires understanding and empathy.

If someone is avoiding you because they're worried you find them annoying/clingy/toxic, the proper response to ask why they feel that way and not assume it's an intrinsic part of their nature. Nobody WANTS to have these problems, nobody asked for them to happen and nobody wants to have their friends leave them. Sometimes it's just a case of showing them empathy.

If you are this person and someone responds to your concerns about being annoying/clingy/toxic by saying "Yeah, you're right," and then leaving, you are better off without them in your life. They are the toxic jerk, not you.

While the idea of "you are not responsible for someone else's happiness" is correct, Green here has taken it to mean that you bear no responsibility for helping people you consider friends with anything. That is the epitome of toxic behavior, being a fair weather friend who's only around when things are easy and peaceing out when things get tough. Friendship is a two-way street and the people involved both should work to maintain it; having only one maintain it and the other benefits while giving nothing in return isn't friendship. That's more like parasitism.

Green's position is that Red should be the one to communicate, but at no point does Green suggest any alternative solutions like therapy, offer suggestions about Red changing their behavior on their own terms, or even offer sympathy for falling back into bad habits. No, Green simply cuts them off because it's too much for them to deal with, which is not only incredibly selfish, it's one of the most damaging things you could do to someone with rejection sensitivity.

People with these problems who avoid you or try to cut off their relationships out of nowhere are not being toxic, seeking approval or trying to manipulate you. They're often experiencing real fear and real concerns about how you view them, and so may be avoiding you because it's the only way they feel they can maintain a sense of control over their lives. It's unheathy, but that's why it's better to approach the situation with sympathy and compassion, rather than immediately assuming they have bad intentions.

Toxic people are far easier to read than you may think. They make everything about themselves, put your desires and your concerns down, exploit your friendship for their personal gain, constantly try to guilt-trip you and make you feel like you're the one at fault, never take any responsibility for what they do and how it hurts you, and then cut you off when you're no longer useful or easy to exploit. In other words, exactly like Green.

Mental health problems do not make you toxic or a bad person. People with those problems are more often than not the victims of toxic and abusive behavior, not the perpetrators. Mental illness gets used FAR too casually to refer to behaviors people don't like or find strange, rather than what they actually are: problems that some people have that do not define their entire character. They're people in just as much need of compassion and sympathy as everyone else.

I really don't know what else to say about this comic's terrible message other than that you should care about other human beings as more than just resources. They're people just like you, with their own lives, dreams, hopes, wishes, desires, fears, concerns, weaknesses and flaws. If you wouldn't want someone to treat you horribly, you really shouldn't do the same to someone else. That's something you should've learned in kindergarten.

//This comic's message is supposed to be that it's better for Green to cut toxic people out of their life, and instead the message people took away from it was that Red needs better friends. They are correct in that assessment.

//I have friends who used to act exactly like Red does, and contrary to what the author thinks, they can change and they can unlearn their unhealthy behaviors. It takes kindness, compassion, persistence and understanding, not to mention reinforcing all the good times you have with them and emphasizing those over pointing out how their problems make your life harder.

//I promise you, whatever problems someone else's mental health issues might cause you, the problems it causes them are far worse. Abandoning someone who's afraid of abandonment is not only cruel and hurtful, it will make their problems even harder to deal with by reinforcing everything they were afraid of.

//I sincerely hope the creator of that comic grows up and learns the importance of compassion over selfishness.

//And to everyone who struggles with these issues, I promise you, people like this don't deserve to be a part of your life and nothing they say about you is right. You are worth so much more than that and you do deserve to have good things in your lives.

//The people worth having around are the ones who acknowledge your flaws while emphasizing your strengths. They're the people who want to help you grow out of your issues and be a better version of yourself. And if you have the misfortune of encountering people who cut you off like Green, you can at least try and take the lesson of what to look out for in toxic people to heart.

//People are kinder and more understanding than they're given credit for, and you can and should be that kind of person for yourself too. Show yourself compassion when you need it and understand where you might've gone wrong, rather than constantly punishing yourself for every mistake. It's better for everyone, especially yourself.

//Things have been hard for me this year, but I've had a lot of great friends who've helped get me through it and I wish the same for everyone reading this.

I just wanted to thank you so, so much for standing up for Jews right now. I can't express how much it means to me and the rest of the Jewish community that you're one of the few people who've actually gone to bat for us when everyone else went mask off ❤️

<3 honestly you shouldn't be thanking me because it's just the right thing to do, but the amount of antisemitism I have seen since 10/7 has been APPALLING and it's extremely scary. The people who went mask off REALLY went mask off, but there has also been so much stealth antisemitism in so much of the reaction and reporting that I've seen about the situation that it really threw me off and made me realize that I vastly underestimated how popular antisemitism still is.

Clearly, discussing Zionism in the past has REALLY not gone well for me, but the reaction toward it for me specifically and in general has always set off alarm bells that there was antisemitism baked in there which was trying to be passed off as anti-Zionism or anti-Israeli sentiment. But I feel like 10/7 was such a horrific revelation for Jewish people and allies because, at least for me, it was a revelation that for certain people, basically there is no limit to what you could do to an Israeli. There is no limit to what crimes or atrocities could be committed against someone because of where they lived or where they were born, and there is a really scary number of people who would paint that kind of atrocity as some kind of rebellious act of freedom. If you are calling literal babies colonizers and you are saying that the gang rape and mutilation of people's genitals is somehow an act of decolonization, you are trying to dress up your genocidal antisemitic POV with the veneer of some kind of social justice or moral righteousness.

But there are bigger fish to fry here that I think a lot of people are missing, which again further disturbs and upsets me. Because Jewish people should be able to just exist in the world, but the ebb and flow of antisemitism is also an exceptionally good indicator of when social and political upheaval is about to REALLY start fucking everyone's lives up. So again, people should be concerned about this because it's morally wrong, but they should also be concerned about it because Jewish people are also almost always just the first up to bat. Once we pass that critical point where antisemitism becomes socially acceptable again, it's almost always because we are at the beginning of a really hard downturn that is going to destroy a TON of people's lives. So the fact that so many people on the left and right are now united in the whole "oh wouldn't our lives be so much better if we could just take power away from the Jews" is a REALLY REALLY REALLY scary sign that should not be ignored.

And of course, the fact that the Israeli government actually does horrible shit makes this a much easier sell. There are a ton of very legitimate problems that need to be fixed and should absolutely be called out. But again, it's a very scary mindset to get drawn into, because yes you think you're a leftist and completely unaffected by the antisemitism that has been baked into our culture for literally thousands of years and you're on the right side because WELL THE JEWS ARE ACTUALLY BAD NOW. But what the hell do you think people thought in 1930s Europe? Do you think that they hated Jewish people just to hate them? Or do you think that they also genuinely believed that Jewish people were actually the problem then too?

It's heinous because 10/7 and the invasion of Gaza afterward is a perfect vector to hide antisemitism in, and it really seems to be working well. The overt antisemitism I've seen as well as the way more covert that I've seen has shocked me, and even though I'm not Jewish, I considered myself to be more aware than most that antisemitism is not even remotely a problem that's been relegated to the past.

But I'm sorry that you've had to deal with this because I am just a person who is capable of empathy and understands how fucked up it must be to experience this, while Jewish people actually have to experience it. The lack of pushback against pretty obvious antisemitism is really frightening, and again, the whole progression of what has happened is exceptionally cruel and offensive. You can support a free and democratic Palestine while condemning 10/7 (in fact I'd argue given that Hamas hasn't held elections in decades, it's a REQUIREMENT to condemn 10/7 if you genuinely support a free Palestine). You can acknowledge that Hamas is an outwardly stated and admitted antisemitic terrorist organization and 10/7 was an expressly antisemitic attack and fight for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

But the amount of pressure I've seen put on Jewish people specifically to go along with the complete reframing and minimization of 10/7, because actually if you live in Israel then you had it coming, and because the Palestinians have it worse you can't even take a moment to react emotionally to something truly horrific and traumatizing, and if you don't think exactly what we think you're one of the "bad ones," has been disturbing to watch. Your pain is incredibly valid and I know everything that has happened must be so difficult and isolating, but just know that you do have supporters out there, even if you deserve to have a lot more.
