remus and deceit are in hogwarts too, i just didnt feel like drawing them

like as established in the hogwarts house video, patton is a hufflepuff and logan is a ravenclaw, because the sorting hat takes into account which house you want to be in

patton is hufflepuff also because hufflepuffs value justice, and with patton mainly leading the whole “is thomas a good person?” conundrum, that shows he values justice and being good

logan is ravenclaw also because ravenclaws value intelligence and learning.

virgil is a gryffindor in a neville longbottom-esque way. neville was always anxious and nervous yet ended up in the house of courage because of how he faced his internal fears. also it takes courage to do the things virgil did: reveal his name after being treated badly, reveal that he used to be a dark side, etc.

i made roman a ravenclaw instead of a gryffindor as he was in the hogwarts house video, because roman literally is creativity and one of the core values of ravenclaw is creativity. it just makes sense.

(also strangely enough, despite this connection, ravenclaw was never discussed as an option for roman in the hogwarts house video)

remus is roman’s twin brother who is also a ravenclaw. remus also embodies creativity and ravenclaw values creativity, so it makes sense that remus is also there.

deceit is slytherin because slytherins are cunning and ‘will do anything to get their way’ and deceit is shown to do this. he will lie to and manipulate the other sides to get to the outcome that he wants, which makes this fitting.

virgil and deceit are pureblood wizards. roman and remus muggleborn (also they're chinese). logan is halfblood who was raised by his muggle parent in the muggle world. patton is a halfblood who was raised by his wizard parent.

virgil and deceit were childhood friends, mostly because their parents were friends, and they were the same age, so they just ended up hanging around each other. they remained friends until their 3rd year at hogwarts.

logan and roman met because they shared a dorm. (roman always takes time to thank whatever higher power is out there that he didnt get stuck rooming with remus).

roman and logan bonded at first because they both came from the muggle world. they eventually became friends because roman annoyed logan enough until logan would be friends with roman.

roman loves embroidery and sewing and sews a ton of designs with ravenclaw colors onto his robes.

deceit and remus become friends in second year. theyre usually inseparable. because of remus, virgil hangs around them less and less until he stops altogether in their third year

once remus hexed virgils hair to turn purple. virgil liked it and never changed it back

roman sees that virgil hangs around remus sometimes and immediately distrusts virgil, since remus has been the Worst to roman over the years.

virgil takes healing lessons and is a really good healer. roman is good at charms and frog choir and nothing else. patton loves potions. logan is the top of the class, but if he had to pick a favorite subject it would be arithmancy. deceit is great at divination.

logan helps roman study. logan is literally the only reason roman is passing most of his classes.

once, instead of studying for finals, roman creates a cheating quill discreet enough to not get caught by the anti-cheating spells. logan is so impressed, he just lets roman cheat off of him.

in their third year, on the evening before a full moon, virgil takes a walk near the forbidden forest and sees a unicorn at the edge of the forest calling to him. he follows it. the unicorn took him towards another unicorn that was injured. by the time they got there, it was night, but virgil didnt realize. he began performing some preliminary healing spells on the unicorn so it can survive until he can get someone more experienced. as he does this, a werewolf tries to attack the hurt unicorn, and virgil put himself in between the werewolf and the unicorn, leading to virgil getting a werewolf scratch.

the unicorns took him back to the hogwarts grounds.

he was recovering in the hospital for a month.

his first full moon as a werewolf was horrible. he was glad his human form didnt have werewolf memories, because when he woke up after the full moon, the pain was unbearable.

he was applauded as a hero to the gryffindors in the beginning. however as time went on, and he went through more and more full moons and became weaker and more gaunt and haggard, people started to stay away from him. it wasnt just his appearance though. there were rumors about virgil being dangerous and general anti-werewolf stigma that still populated the wizarding world. deceit and remus avoided virgil as much as virgil avoided them.

patton liked to be in the potions room. professor slughorn mentored him and he was rarely outside of the classroom. so, when virgil came into the potions room every now and then asking for wolfsbane refills, patton was often there.

patton started talking to virgil during these visits to the potions room, and eventually, they became friends.

because of the werewolf transformations, virgils clothes often get torn. he met remus’s brother once or twice before and knew that he could sew. so one day virgil approaches roman asking for sewing help.

“why would i help you, you evil fiend!” roman exclaims. virgils face falls as yet another person thinks he’s evil for defending a unicorn and being turned into a werewolf. roman’s eyes widened. “wait wait wait! youre not evil because youre a werewolf, youre evil because youre friends with my evil brother!”

“i was never friends with your brother. remus is just friends with my friend deceit which is why im around him sometimes. well, actually i dont think deceit and i are friends anymore. i dont like your brother.”

bonding over their shared dislike of remus, virgil and roman become friends.

roman teaches virgil and patton how to sew. virgil adds house color patches to the tears in his robes and patton adds some house colors just for fun.

roman introduces logan to virgil and patton.

“virgil im so glad i can talk to you. i have so many questions! do you know how rare it is for unicorns to let someone near them? did you know unicorns can sense good souls? what color is unicorn blood really? i dont believe the books. did it feel like silk like they say? do werewolves look like normal wolves or anthropomorphized wolves? how does transfo-” “logan stop youre scaring him.” “shut up roman. anyway virgil, can i show you how to properly tie a tie? ive noticed yours is always lopsided and messed up” “logan!”

virgil decided he liked logan since logan didnt immediately treat him like a disease or like he was fragile.

all because of a werewolf, roman, virgil, logan, and patton became the bestest of friends at hogwarts.
