one thing that lives in my mind rent-free but that i’ve never seen anyone talk about are these few lines from the hamilton musical:
the way that hamilton says “macbeth” right after referencing the superstition surrounding that word in theatre... i know a billion other ppl have already praised lin manuel miranda's musical genius (and/or made fun of him for being cringe) but this lyric literally hasn’t left my brain alone since i first heard it. what a way to characterize this man who calls himself macbeth on stage without missing a beat... what a way to drive home hamilton’s fatal flaw of courting death in his hunger to prove himself!
