i mean, im sure what zte thinks about shipping matters to some people. not really to me, no. it's great that he loves k@taang! good for him! but even if he hated it, i would still ship k@taang lmao. the reason being is that i like what the canon narrative has provided us. i don't need VAs to boost anything up for me, yk?

so nope, i don't have any issues here. i cannot emphasize enough that a VA's thoughts on shipping do not impact my fandom participation at all.

also, i feel it's worth pointing out that there's a difference between enjoying VAs' thoughts and feeling like you need a VA to justify a fandom pairing/headcanon/etc. like, i have friends who enjoy hearing zte talk about atla because it's clear how important the show was to him and he loves getting into the thematic aspects of it. but that's totally different from, say, needing zte and whitman to ship k@taang in order to feel justified shipping it (which no one i know thinks, lmfao). is it cool zte likes k@taang and whitman has expressed interest in it? sure! but we don't need their thoughts to feel supportive of the ship. the show gave us everything we wanted and more, if that makes sense.

LASTLY. i am a huge multishipper, anon, so i find it funny you came here 😂 like yeah i ship k@taang, but i also ship kvzaang and m@ilee and svkitara and soooooo many others. you don't see me crawling to VAs begging for validation of my rarepairs, do you? because what the VA thinks is irrelevant to me! they're practically just another fan, which means i can very easily keep on keepin' on, making and enjoying atla content without a care in the world except for school rip
