Warnings: In the post below I decided to make girls like stereotypical girly things and boys stereotypical boyish things, but it doesn’t mean I believe it’s how it’s supposed to be. I personally had periods when I was very girly and ones when I was very tomboyish and that’s okay. If you guys had a daughter, she would be the happiest little girl on earth.

He would be unable to deny her anything. Don’t let these two go to the mall alone. Unless you don’t care for electricity or hot water. Then you do you, I guess.

I even can see him dressed in pink tutu, sitting by a small, pink table and sipping on nonexisting tea. Anything to make his little angel happy

I overall don’t see him as a parent who actively takes part in his child’s school life - like helping with organizing plays or sawing costumes or parent-teacher association associating or other stuff alike, BUT...

He sure would never miss a single performance of his baby girl and would support her along the whole way there.

And yes. He will watch YT tutorials to learn how to do some pretty hairstyles for his princess, even though initially he wouldn’t want to do them at all.

And yes. He will paint her nails when she’s old enough not to stuff her hands into her mouth all the time.

They are collecting figures. Like, motorcycles and cars at first. Then also planes when the boy gets a little older.

He would look upto his daddy very much. Would adore that he’s a police officer and could fly and was just basically flawless - at least in your son’s eyes.

They would play with his plane toys, which boy could all name. His favorite would be the Supermarine Spitfire. Gavin could never play with that one. Dad is great and all, but it’s HIS plane.

When your sun gets a bit older, his dad would take him to aerobatic aviation shows and historic planes displays.

He surely would be a daddy’s boy, if you didn’t figure it yet. You’re cool and he loves you… BUT GAVIN?

Their bond remains strong throughout the years. They keep alot of secrets from you, but you benefit from it from time to time. Especially in saving nerves. So it’s cool. Unless it’s not…

When grown up he sure would become a police officer like his dad or a soldier. I sure see him in military aviation. Dad would be a bit worried, but would give him his full support and all the help he could.

I also believe you and Gavin would have more than just one child, but that’s just a side note.

Not a reckless dad tho. He knows it’s not good for kids to eat as much sweets as they want to. He knows it’s not the best idea to say yes to every single whim of theirs…

But his little princess is so pretty. And so cute. And so sweet.

Remember when I told you how Gavin would be not so happy to attend her daughter’s tea parties?

Kiro would live for those! He would buy himself dresses for those occasions.

And they would do fashion shows for you.

This dad is going to ask his daughter to do his makeup.

Takes her to get ice cream behind your back after picking her up from her ballet practice.

I don’t know why, but I see his son as that shy, artistic type. That romantic boy with an acoustic guitar kind of trope.

He would have a voice of an angel and a talent surpassing even his father’s. He literally doesn’t need Kiro’s evol to have his charm.

This dad would be so proud. A little sad that his modest, little boy doesn’t want to perform on stage with him, but still - so extremely happy to have such a talented son.

He would get him the best tutors, and the finest instruments and every other equipment his little angel might need. Not even necessarily ask for.

If that was what wished for, he would help him start a career. He surely has what it gets to make someone famous.

If that wasn’t what his son wanted however - he would never push him. He knows the price that comes with money and a large fanbase and he wouldn’t force anyone to pay it.

Lucien

I see Lucien as the best dad of all 4, and before you get mad at me for being biased, know that he's not my fav. I like being called an idiot and men in uniforms.

Big part of it would surely be his psychological knowledge, not gonna lie. Second one would be his outstanding intelligence that helps him with application of upbringing’s roles into life.

He just knows exactly how and when to be soft and when and how to be firm.

He would take his daughter for walks and movies. He would love to take her to an amusement park from time to time.

It’s important for him that his daughter would be well socialised.

And surprise, surprise - his daughter would be a genius. Doesn’t matter if you are biological parents or not. It just happened. And he’s very happy to be destroyed in a chase game by his nine year old.

He helps her with preparing for math contests. And any other contests there are.

They often sit together on the couch and read books. She even makes the same face as she focuses. Yes - even she’s adopted.

It’s a Christmas miracle, I don’t know. Ask Lucien, he probably does.

Wouldn’t it be absolutely cute and a little bit ironic if his son would be a little trouble maker?

Wouldn’t want to study. Just spent all day on the playground with other kids. An tradic picky eater. Can fall asleep wherever he is, in whatever position he is.

I could see Lucien struggle to find a way to get to his child, but I couldn’t see him ever give up.

He would enroll his son into some school sports team and would very actively support it. They need a parent to go with them to attend a sports contest in another school. Sign him up. Lucien is a very busy man, that’s true, but not too busy for that.

He would learn the rules and tactics of whatever game his son plays.

Would help him practice outside his practices. Even if he might not enjoy it.

And obviously, would eagerly help him if he had any problems in school.

Overall, I see Lucien as a very loving father, who doesn’t shy away with expressing just how important his kids are for him.

The one who would constantly motivate his children.

They are learning languages, participating in at least one sport, playing an instrument and traveling around the world with him to experience many different cultures.

His little girl would be confident, smart, self-disciplined and an absolutely cute dork who thinks daddy doesn’t know she figured how to get to that cookie jar on the highest shelf.

She started drawing things for him since she was too small to even talk properly… and she was really good for such a small poppet.

He quickly decided to add art classes to her already long list of extracurricular activities.

At some point she was absolutely wonderful. Daddy was swelling with pride.

A perfect student, remarcable artist… Obviously a Li.

She would then study architecture at the most prestigious university in the country. Victor would spare no expenses. She deserves it.

A quiet but intimidating kid that sits in the first row in class and gives his teacher a challenging look.

Destroys in chess even Lucien’s daughter… sometimes.

Has no friends because he’s disgusted by other people.

If he could he would even sleep with daddy… but daddy doesn’t let him because he needs “privacy” with you. Good thing you sometimes make him sandwiches, because you might get taken care of…

Victor would have his kid’s photo on his desk. Two of them actually. One facing him and one facing anyone who sits on the opposite side. People need to know just how cute they looked in their matching shirts during last year’s father’s day celebrations.

They would go to the movies together. Victor who usually makes sure your kids are eating healthy would buy him a huge popcorn… and sometimes even M&M’s.

Victor would be a principled dad with high expectations, but don’t make a mistake. Even if his kids weren’t as ambitious and success focused as he’s he would love them just as much and care for them just as much.

There would also be no favoring if you had more than one child. Everyone must feel equally loved and he would make sure it’s exactly the case.

i'm gonna rant about my job for a hot minute, so don't mind me.

the one manager that i work with the most went off on us today bc she got in trouble. the reason why she got in trouble was bc one of my coworkers reported her to the DM bc of her behavior towards all of us, but specifically stuff that happened on saturday.

i didn't realize how long this was gonna be, so i'm gonna put a divider.

that being said, if you wanna know the hot gossip about my work environment, come on in and read lol

i realize i need to name everyone, otherwise this might get confusing.

terrible manager: A

coworker #1: X

coworker #2: J

coworker #3: K

we got it? cool beans.

first off, i need you to understand why A is so terrible. it's not dumb stuff like 'she works us too hard' or whatever. there are legitimate reasons i, and everyone else at my store, dislike her.

here are some of the things my manager has done:

- made J have a panic attack and had to clock out early for break bc of it

- said to me 'oh, you must be in a better mood than yesterday. you're not as much of a smartass today.' (also, i literally wasn't a smartass to her at all the day before. i was in a pissed off mood bc i didn't want to be at work and i complained about the customers. i literally never spoke to her that day.)

- called K a bitch to her face

- has talked to all of my younger coworkers (most of which are only 20 max and younger than her oldest daughter) about her bf who is on the sex offender list

- she also sees no problem with it bc it happened back when he was in his 20s and she plays off why he's on the list as if it's not serious

- has also told us that cps has been called on her multiple times and she sees nothing wrong with that weirdly

- talks terribly about her own children. like, it's like she hates them the way she speaks of them.

- gave me corona (she got it first and we work the same shifts all the time)

- did not go thru the proper channels to tell corporate about her getting covid, and then on top of that came back earlier than suggested

- constantly undermines us by asking us if what we have as backstock can go out, as if we haven't spent our whole 8 hr shift doing just that

- now, since knowing J has anxiety, will constantly patronize him by saying 'i don't want to give you too much, i don't want to upset you'

- during the holidays when our new staff that came in, she never learned their names and called them all 'you' and when was called out about it shrugged it off

- sent one of them home bc they wanted to eat their noodles first (he was hungry bc he came from a different 8 hr shift) while being clocked in, even tho there are plenty of times i've eaten at the beginning of my shift and so have other managers as well

there's probably about a hundred other things i could tell you, but this is just some of the complaints i've heard or witnessed myself.

on saturday, the reason why X reported A to the DM was bc she told J to take out the trash instead of helping us with the palettes (we work freight in case you didn't know). when X complained about it, and questioned why J couldn't just do it later after the palettes, A wouldn't listen. eventually, when i stepped away, A came up to X and ripped the scanner away from her and told her 'i'll do the palettes since you won't stop bitching.' (and mind you, she should have been helping with the palettes, but she never really does unless direly necessary)

that was enough for X, who decided to leave and then report A to the DM. A got in trouble with our GM too.

now that you're caught up, let me tell you what A is now going to start enforcing (she claims these are corporate policies that we need to start following):

- no more headphones in before the store is open. if we listen to music it has to be all the same music and it must bc PG (bc we work at a toy store basically)

- no leggings, ripped jeans, sweatshirts, or anything that covers the logo on our uniforms.

- if we take out trash, we all collectively go out together

- we will go together and do each section in our store instead of being separated and doing each section on our own

- if we are going to have a phone convo, if it is longer than 5 mins, we must clock out and take our break

and if we don't listen to what she says, we will get written up.

now, the only reason she is laying into these """rules""" now is bc she got in trouble and she's being spiteful.

do you wanna know what that got her? K and J left at the same time this morning and then K quit. i and X stayed bc we want the hours.

she's gonna make everyone leave a store that we've all been working at for years. the other managers have heard our complaints and have even complained along with us and... they don't care. they just want us to keep the peace, even at our own expense of dignity and respect.

so... i'm gonna be looking for a new job (with benefits) asap bc... fuck this place. i've had my own problems before with here but decided to stick them out, but i'm not gonna deal with a women who literally has a sexual offender as a bf degrade me bc she likes a power trip for whatever reason. i'm not her child and i will not handle her like i am one, if you know what i'm saying.

okay, sorry how long this was. hope this was an enjoyable read lol

Love, Huh? - Chapter 2

"You done?" Sehun said knocking on the bathroom door.

For the last 2 weeks you've been in this hospital, woke up after almost 3 days since you passed out. Sehun cried -which something you haven't seen in a long time and made you cry too realizing how much you actually hurt him by being hurt- when you opened your eyes. And since then you have never been alone even though the boys were currently preparing for their new album. Some days it would be Kyungsoo who would make sure not even a piece of rice was left on your plates and also would sneak in some snacks for you to eat, the rest of the days would be Chanyeol who would show you funny videos or make you listen to songs they've made but yet released. And then Sehun, who would with one of the guys and never came alone. He would only sit silently on the sofa, looking at you somehow with worried, angry, and guilty looks at the same time while his friends would talk with you. He would only say something when talked to. Truth was, he felt guilty for not sensing anything wrong. He was also very mad at himself for not being able to protect you, something he always promised you since you became friends.

They would work on their album in your hospital room while telling you to eat, rest, and sleep. When the day you finally could go home, well to the guys' apartment since you don't really have other place to stay at -and they were very adamant they wouldn’t have it any other way-, Sehun picked you up alone, Kyungsoo and Chanyeol had to record their parts he informed.

You looked at the mirror to see fading marks on your neck, arms, and face. The stitches were also fading, you almost looked normal. Maybe your body was becoming normal, but you haven’t dare to explore your emotions of what happened 2 weeks ago. You could only hope time would help you heal your heart. The guys surprisingly didn’t bombard you with questions right as you woke up. You knew you owe them some explanations and that their heads were full of questions.

You straightened your clothes -well Kyungsoo’s since all of yours were still at your place and his fits the best since the other two are basically giants- and again looked at the mirror. Somehow, looking at your almost healed wounds made your heart wrenched. You questioned yourself, how could you let him do what he did to you? Better one, why would you do things that pushed him to do what he did?

“Hey, you okay in there?” Sehun’s voice outside grew worried when you didn’t respond.

When you opened the door and saw his face, you couldn’t hold yourself to throw yourself into his arms. You hugged him tight putting your ear on heart to hear the sound of it beating, something you realized was something very calming and pleasant. He was stunned at first, before embracing your body, sharing his body and heart’s warmth.

Both of you stayed still in this position with him stroking your hair giving you more comfort before he pulled back and held your face in his palms with you still hugging his waist, needing his presence more than ever before. “You okay?” he said softly, looking deep into you.

You nodded before continuing “I just ... Thank you. For everything.”

“Anything for you, shorty” he smiled kissing the top of your head.

“Hey I was taller than you in middle school. Not my fault you grew up to be a pole.”

After some convincing and promises you would leave if he was home and Sehun muttering something like “I hope he’s home so I could show him what broken ribs feel like”, he drove you to your shared apartment with your boyfriend -well ex to be exact- to get your essential items, like your IDs, passport, etc.

Judging by the police line that was still sealed at your door, it did’t look like someone has returned to this house. After getting rid of the tape, you punched in your code with shaking hands, can’t help but to have flashbacks about the nights of your pain. Sehun noticed this and held your other hand in his. And when the door finally opened he took the first step and entered with you behind him. When his eyes spotted the broken glass and trace of dried blood his jaw clenched and his grip tightened.

Concluding no one was really home with the lack of sound and light, he asked where’s your bedroom and lead you both there.

“Um.. Sehun, you probably need to let go of my hand for me so I can work faster.”

He reluctantly did and you took the bag you didn’t finish pack that night. You put in your wallets, laptop, notes, clothes and some stuff you just wanted to bring along. Like hell you were gonna leave your SK-II essence or Anastasia Beverly Hills palette. “You forced me to drive you here just for your skincare and makeup?” Sehun teased with his arms crossed leaning his form to the doorframe.

“These are very expensive alright. Why don’t you make yourself useful and help me find my phone. It should be in the living room somewhere,” you replied while grabbing your huge ass suitcase to fit in more stuff.

“Just buy a new one.”

“All of my contacts are there. And also tons of pictures I’m not willing to let go of.”

He rolled his eyes and started to move towards the living room. “Like what? Nudes?”

“I think we both know who likes to take racy pictures out of the two of us.”

“Hey that wasn’t meant for you alright.”

Sehun came back after a few minutes, “Your screen’s broken.”

“Ah dang. Are you busy today? Could we like stop by the mall to fix it or get a new one or something?” You asked looking up while crouching next to the bed, trying to reach whatever was under the bed.

“Free as a bird. You need help?”

“Nope. I.... got it,” you said pulling out a black box.

“Let me guess, your sex toys.”

“Oh honey, if I were into sex toys I wouldn’t just have one box, I’d make a room dedicated to them, Fifty Shades style.”

He snickered and got to his knee, watching you opening up the box. When you did though, he was shocked to see that it was completely filled with money. “Never heard of the bank missy?”

You shrugged, “Just feel safer to have cash than cards.” You put the box in your luggage. Deciding you’ve taken everything you bought with your own money and leaving all he gave you, you closed it.

“All done?” Sehun grabbed your luggage and your other bag.

“Yes.” And with that you got up. You were almost out of the door before you remembered something, “Wait!” Sehun looked behind only to see you taking some shoes with you. You grinned at him, showing him a worn out pair of shoes “This is the shoes you bought me with your first paycheck!”

He broke into a huge smile before turning on his heels, telling you to come out fast. Before you close the door to your past, you looked once into what caused you pain and happiness for the last year.

“Have you called the guys about we’re eating out?” you asked Sehun as you finished ordering your food. He nodded at your question. “By the way, this is very private. Is this where celebrities go on dates?”

“Well the owner is also an idol, so he knows how hard it is for us to even just hangout with friends, let alone dating. Well for those who don’t want scandals yes, this is the safest place with private rooms and all.” You nodded at his explanation.

Both of you stayed quiet after that. Sehun looked like he wanted to ask you about everything but always stopped himself before he did. When you finished your food, you took a deep breath and called his name, making him look away from his leftover food he was playing with and looked into your eyes.

“Ask.” you commanded.

Sehun paused before asking “When did you quit Junmyeon hyung’s company?” Okay he’s starting light

“Almost a year ago I think.”

“Why? Was it.. him?” Sehun whispered the last word, clearly trying to avoid the sensitive topic.

“He did ask me to quit. But that wasn’t the main reason.”

“And what was it? I thought working at his company was your dream?”

“Well yes. Kinda irrelevant, but before we move on, the company is not his, it’s Mr. Kim Minseok’s.”

“But they’re brothers, the company is their family’s.”

“Yeah but technically Mr. Kim’s the one who ran the whole company, and on the other hand Mr. Kim deals with the magazine, not their....” you stopped talking as you caught Sehun’s unfazed face, clearly not caring about which Kim brothers was the owner. You sighed and continued, “I just felt uncomfortable with both of them that’s all.”

“What? What did they do?”

“Good things. Too good things. They would bring me food, offer me to lunch and dinner, giving souvenirs whenever they’re back from trips, giving me rides home, and all.”

Sehun’s brow furrowed deeper. “And what’s wrong with that?”

“What would you feel if you CEO sent you a flower bouquet and medicines because you were sick the day before or your supervisor’s boss chatting up to you at lunch like your best friends?”

“Happy?”

You rolled your eyes and sighed. “Normal people would feel uncomfortable. Cause other employees would talk, okay.”

“Did they? Talk? About you?”

“Oh yes they did.”

“Like what?”

“Like how I slept with both of them to get my job, which we both know isn’t true since you force-introduced me to them 2 months after I got hired. And it’s not like they weren’t professional on working time tho. I get scolded when my job wasn’t satisfactory, but gossip’s definitely more fun than fact so, I decided to quit and to start writing again. And it’s not like I needed more money. As you saw earlier I got enough and my boy.. ex-boyfriend is very rich like I told you.”

“Right, your ex.”

“Ask away, blondie.”

“Was it.. the first time?” he asked carefully.

“No.” You saw him blinked and clenched his jaw.

“Did he do it.... often?”

“No,” you contemplated on how to tell him, and the only way for it to make sense is to tell from the beginning. “Okay, this is gonna be long. Questions after I’m done kay?”

“Okay.”

You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before starting your story. “Okay, so did you realized after the initial meeting between you, me, him, Chan and Soo oppa we don’t meet that often?” He nodded “And even when we did meet I asked you not to bring your bandmates cause I ‘wanted to spend more time with you’?” Again he nodded. “And did you notice how he got very touchy and would always keep his hands on me when we hung out?” At this he just looked at you confused. “Guess why.”

You let him think and analyze the whole thing. It took him a couple of second before he got it. “He was jealous.”

This time you nodded. “When we got home after the first meeting, he was saying things like how all three of you have crushes on me and like me more than just friends, and how we’re too close as friends and stuff. So I argued back and we had a big fight that night which ended up giving me a broken rib and nose. I was ready to leave him. But he begged and apologized. And me being the stupid girl that I am, stayed. His jealousy didn’t get better tho, but he never hit me like that again. But in turn, when he got jealous he would be.. um.. really rough in bed. Like choking, spanking, and not the good kind. If he’s jealous I won’t be able to walk the next day because of the pain and forming bruises. And he got jealous of everything. Our calls, facetime, me talking about any of you, or even just admiring celebrities. But I thought, at least he didn’t hurt me outside of bed you know.”

You looked at Sehun’s red ears and his clenched fists on the table. You reached over and took his left one in your right, squeezing it lightly as if saying ‘But I’m okay now, don’t worry’

"He kinda tolerated you, since he knows how much you mean to me, and also because I told him you're gay, which he didn't believe somehow. So he just forced himself not to be jealous when we hang out or talk. But for Chanyeol and Kyungsoo oppa, honestly I did avoid them. I think I was afraid of what he would do to me if I didn’t. But then the night before it happened, we ran into each other. And I’m pretty sure you all noticed how he got very protective of me since you jokingly said ‘chill dude, we’re not gonna take her’ which, he didn’t find funny by the way, he thought you were mocking him. When we were home, again we fought. And when he got angrier I threatened him I'd leave if he ever laid his hands on me again. So he left. At first I thought I was safe, we were okay. But then the club owner called and informed me that my ex spent the night at the club and was drinking a lot. The owner is a friend, so he called just to make sure everything’s okay. But when he told me my ex has been drinking more than he should, I had a feeling it would go bad. And that’s why I called you. But before you could pick up, he came home. We fought again, but I kept my space. I warned him again and again and again about leaving him. And he seemed to calm down, before my phone rings, and he saw the caller and he snapped.” You stopped, knowing it’s gonna be the hardest part to tell.

Sehun’s eyes doubled in size. Realization hit him like a ton of bricks. It was him who called.

You took both his hands, “And it’s not your fault. Never yours. Don’t you dare blaming yourself okay.”

His lips trembled, but he told himself he had to be strong for you. No matter how terrible this was for him, you still had it the hardest. So he let go of your hands and moved beside you. He looked to your eyes deeply and ask, “Were you scared?”

“Very.” And with that he took you in his arms.

You didn’t realize it, but you found yourself crying and sobbing on his chest. Finally you crumbled down. You felt broken and worthless. Maybe you did deserve all the hitting. Maybe you weren’t good enough for him or anybody.

You cried for few minutes before calming down. You pulled away and he wiped your tears. “You also can’t blame yourself for what happened. This is all him. You are amazing, beautiful, and deserve someone who treats you like the queen you are,” he stated, knowing fully well you were putting yourself down. “Don’t discredit yourself. You’re perfect just like how you are.”

Then he hugged you again, you let yourself be embraced into his grasp, letting him mend your broken heart.

dude seriously tho i want a rattie of my own now ... what do they eat, and how messy is their poop, though? i've got so many bad rat pun name ideas if they aren't too much of a clean up hassle i will get myself a rat army,,,,

I myself only got my rats the beginning of the year and they’re my first so idk how helpful I’ll be but:

first off, DO NOT BUY MIXED RAT FOODS. do not buy things like those “kaytee’s fiesta mix”. those are cheaply made and they can pick and choose what they want, so they’re not getting all that they need. I buy my rats lab blocks, which are all the same so that they can’t choose what they want to eat. for the cage, you must get a large cage, at least two cubic feet per rat. I have a double critter nation, but it was $200. I clean my cage weekly with vinegar and water but idk if that’s the best. it is recommended to wipe down the cage everyday in their pee spots. like aforementioned, they can be litter trained and you’re supposed to change it like every other day I think but I do it when I clean the cage once a week….

some other things would be that rats are very social!!! this means that you can’t get them and never let them out to play. they need human interaction and love people. they naturally love crawling all over you, on your shoulder, in your clothes, and lick your hands and face once they get to know you. along with human interaction you MUST get at least a pair of rats!!! and obviously a same sex. I’ve read that males tend to more relaxed and cuddly while girls tend to be more energetic. they also have very sensitive respiratory systems!!! so you can not have fragrances in the room you keep them in !!! that includes perfumes, air fresheners, and cleaning products.

there are many different color variations you can get rats, and they come in fancy (standard), dumbo (their ears are bigger more to the side of their head), hairless, Rex (curly fur), and tailless but their tails are really important for heat regulation and balance so those are not recommended. even though I got mine from a pet store, it is not recommended that you purchase ANY pet from a pet store but if you do it’ll probably be better to go to a local and independent one. they are cheap though. idk about breeders I mean they're obviously gonna be expensive

and lastly!!! they are B I G chewers. rat proof your room please because I didn’t and they escaped a few times before I got my critter nation (which they can’t really escape from) and they chewed up clothes and cords. make sure they have a lot of chews, like wood or cardboard. they’ll chew on their toys. my boys have demolished this fabric bed thing I had for them and I had to take it out. they chew on plastic too. I would provide pics but I’m on mobile

And also!!! not all rats are the same like just my two have very contrasting personalities so I'm not guaranteeing they'll be like mine. it can take some time for them to get adjusted. they tend to poop and pee when scared so they can be like that initially. but interact with them a lot!! I mean mine were probably meant to be feeder so they likely didn't get hand held and stuff but they were manageable. I don't think that it'll be too hard even if they didn't get a lot of attention as babies. they do only typically live 2-3 years though and prone to respiratory issues and tumors.
