“Sometimes I‘m really not sure, if you’re not actually a cat.“

When your husband Kuroo came home for lunch that day he found you sprawled out on the living room floor lounging in a large sunbeam. He crossed his arms and watched you stretch.

You meowed accordingly.

When he joined you on the floor, you quickly snuggled up to him, slotting your soft curvy form into his lean muscular one. He gave a snort when you started to purr.

Still chuckling, he hugged you closer and set a kiss against your temple. Lunch could wait a bit longer.

"Babe! I'm so sorry, let me explain,"

"No, there's no explaining to do... how could you do this? Does this happen everyday when I'm at work?'

"Mommy, don't worry you can catch up on the show. We're only on Season 2."

"Still! I missed so much!" You continued looking at Kuroo and your daughter in their pajamas on the bed.

"All you missed was-" Kuroo covered her mouth.

"Don't spoil it for her!"

meanwhile kuroo's just like "well maybe you're a bit too abrasive people. let's work on that!"

kuroo teaches his son that people might not always like him right away but it’s okay. for practice, he takes him to the park one afternoon and tells him "why don’t you play with that other boy," kuroo suggested, pointing out a boy around tetsuya's age.

your son is nervous at first, something kuroo's never seen before. usually, he's so confident in what he does, even at the young age of six but he tries to remember what his dad told him.

kuroo watches tetsuya approach the other boy, who greets him with a smile on his chubby face. "do you want to go on the swings?" suya asks but the boy shakes his head and points toward the big slide on the playground. "i wanna slide!" he shouts, grabbing suya's hand.

tetsuya puffs his cheeks, something he always does right before he's about to throw a tantrum. but his eyes look over at his dad, sitting on the bench a few feet away. taking a deep breath, suya lets the boy pull him toward the slide and after a few minutes of playing, the furrow in his brow disappears.

kuroo can unclench his jaw as he watches the two boys play, no longer as worried about suya getting upset and taking it out on someone else. pulling out his phone, kuroo shoots you a text.

"i think suya just made a friend 🥹"

unfortunately, dad!kuroo thoughts have plagued my mind for far too long and i need to write them down.

dad!kuroo with a daughter: loves to address his wife and daughter “his girls” “my girls are waiting for me at home” “my girls!” he’d exclaim when the two of them greet him at the front door. “my girls made it for me,” he’d say with the proud smile when asked who makes his lunch everyday. “my girls,” he’d fondly mutter when gently moving strands of hair away from his sleeping wife and daughter’s faces.

dad!kuroo rubbing his baby’s little feet against the stubble on his face to make them squeal and giggle.

dad!kuroo angling his chest away from the stovetop when carrying his baby while cooking at the same time. to onlookers, it’ll look like this man is perpendicular to the stove haha

dad!kuroo receiving back-pats from his baby when he carries them because they’re used to their dad patting their back to burp, so they pat him back

dad!kuroo carrying his baby and dipping really low in the grocery store to let his baby choose and grab the vegetable (and puts it back and lets them re-choose if they choose a bad one haha) he likes letting them feel needed and responsible for “grown up” tasks, like grocery shopping!

when his baby falls asleep in public in his arms, he’d take off his jacket (somehow) and lay it over them to cover from the bright lights and the prevent them from catching a cold. he’d leave a spot above their head open so he can still fondly look at them

dad!kuroo and his lack of clean shirts because of the countless times his baby has drooled on them

Having the HQ boys forcing you out of bed in the mornings.

(Various Haikyuu characters x female reader.)

You are married to them.

They are trying to force you out of bed to get your days started with.

Kuroo, Iwazumi, Suga, and Akaashi.

Kuroo:

Kuroo hears his alarm go off at 6:45 a.m. He groaned a bit to turn it off. He knew it was time to get ready for work on a Monday morning. He has work at 9:00 a.m, but has to wake up a little early. No, not because it’s a Monday, but because you, his loving wife, needs an extra push. EVERY morning. He sits up on the edge of the bed and checks his phone. Nothing important, and then turns to you. “Babe. It’s time to wake up.” He gives you a small peck on your forehead, but nothing. “Babe, come on. We need to get ready for work.” Nothing again. “Y/n, we need to get ready.” He feels bad waking you up so decides to turn on the shower and get his stuff ready. He turns and sees you sound asleep, that he even picks your work outfit and gets your things ready as well. He looks at the clock and sees it’s already 7:25 a.m. He walks back towards you, grabs the sheets off of you, and picks you up. “Sorry baby, but it’s time to get up.” You wake up to being in your husband’s arms. “Where are going?” You ask as you’re waking up in a confused state. “We’re going to shower real quick okay.” You two shower, brush your hair and teeth and get ready for your days. “Thanks for waking me up babe.” You say with a full mouth of toast. “Baby, we do this every morning.” He says with a small scoff yet a sweet smile. “Are you getting tired of our routine?” You say grinning. “Never.”

Iwazumi:

He already knows what his morning duties are. They are to wake up on time, pick his work outfit, get ready, make a quick breakfast, and having to force his wife out of bed. It can be a bit hard for him to wake up in the mornings, especially him being a heavy sleeper. But compared to his wife, he is a featherweight sleeper. That woman can sleep literally through anything. “Y/n, it’s time to get up.” He says it in a monotone. Why? Because he already knows that doesn’t do anything. He takes the sheets off of you, pulls you towards him grabbing you from your legs. You wake up to your husband standing in front of you. “Good morning Iwa-love. Is it morning already?” You say with your morning voice. “Y/n, at this point I’m convinced that you do this on purpose.” He says with a furrowed brow. “Anything to get my husband to pull me out of bed in the morning, yes of course.” You put both arms straight out towards him and he lifts you up like a feather. You give him a kiss on the cheek and thank him. “Watch the day you run late.” He says. “I won’t. Because I have you to wake me up.” You say with a smile as you walk in the bathroom.

Suga:

“Wakey wakey princess.” Are the words you hear from your husband of 3 years. Oh how you love to hear his voice in the morning. “Good morning Kosh.” You say with a small smile. “Come on baby, let’s get ready.” He grabs your hand and you walk together to the bathroom, with hands locked to one another. You both brush your teeth, wash your faces, do your hair, and then get dressed. When you’re tired, you do everything at a slower pace from usual. Suga loves seeing you like this. If he could, he would let you sleep in. But because you can sleep for hours, and he knew you would miss work because of that. “I’m going to get socks, and make breakfast.” You walk out from your shared room and walk to your living room. You lazily look for a matching pair of socks and then walk into the kitchen. You decided to make a quick ham and egg breakfast sandwich for you and Suga. You decided to put the bread in the toaster. You then continue on cooking the egg and ham. You turned to see your couch look extra cozy. You lazily walk to the couch and wait for the bread to toast. You then remember waking up to a screaming Suga, the smoke alarm, and to the smell of burnt bread. “Y/N!!!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD DID YOU DO!!!” Suga came in running into the kitchen to come to black charred bread. He then uses a pillow from the sofa to air out the smoke detector. “Please don’t tell me you went back to sleep?!” You look at him with a sleepy face and a guilty smile. “Princess, this needs to stop! You can burn the whole house down next time.” He walks towards you and gives you a tight hug. “I’m taking over kitchen duties every morning now.”

Akaashi:

You wake up to being carried by your husband Akaashi. You felt your legs lazily wrapped around his back as your arms were around his neck. Your bathroom is apart from your room in your shared clubhouse. He gently sat you down on the toilet seat and get your toothbrushes ready. “Brush your teeth honey.” You began to slowly brush your teeth with the smallest of effort. As he finishes rinsing his mouth, he turns to see you fallen asleep on the toilet with your toothbrush in the corner of your mouth. “Oh baby.” He says with a sigh followed by a small giggle. “Honey, finish brush your teeth.” He helps you up by grabbing your arm gently. He then helps you get your hair done by handing you the hair brush and hair tie. He then picks you up again and walks back to the room. He knows he needs to be up extra early. Because for you, it takes extra effort to wake up. Even though you’re awake, you aren’t fully there. It takes about another hour for you to be functional. He is totally okay with it though. He wouldn’t change his morning routine at all. He gently sits you on bed and changes. He turns to see you laid down flat on your back, falling back to sleep. “Well this was a mistake.” He thinks to himself. He tugged on your arm and says, “okay honey, no you need to wake up.” You open your eyes, stand up and do as your sweet husband says.” He’s not one to yell at you but you can tell when worry or sternness comes in his voice. You finally change and meet him in the kitchen. He has your iced coffee ready with a muffin in hand. “Here you go baby.” He says as he hands you your stuff. “What would I do without you Akaashi?” You say with a smile on your face. “You for sure wouldn’t wake up.” He says as he gives you a small peck on your lips. “Let’s go honey.”

Afterthought: I don’t know why I woke up and decided to write this! I am a huge heavy sleeper myself, and I can imagine these men doing this lol. I would for sure love to wake up to Akaashi though 🥹.
