I got hungry walking around and had a sudden craving for summer rolls so I searched closest Vietnamese restaurant near me on google map. Found this super cute modern Vietnamese restaurant inside of a stylish hotel in NYC. Summer rolls were so yummy!
I love a good hotel breakfast - who doesn't?? and this one was GOOD.
Pictured here are breakfast (left) and lunch (right) from our first day in Reykjavik. My tummy was so happy, especially with the honeydew and pancakes from the breakfast buffet. I tried different foods each morning but always got some honeydew melon *yum!*
For lunch, the only time we had lunch in the hotel restaurant, I was obsessed with the corn salad. I don't know what all it contains, but I do want to try recreating it. And not to brag but the Icelandic lamb steaks were also delicious omg - I don't normally eat red meats but I'll make an exception once or twice a year for lamb or a good burger (I made several exceptions all week in Iceland sorry oops)
13/10, no complaints at all
bonus pics: I put pesto on scrambled eggs one morning and ate it with falafel, and it's my new favorite way to eat scrambled eggs. 10/10 would recommend!
also I appreciate the hotel's signs on the table saying basically you can take as much as you want from the buffet but don't waste food - it made me feel comfortable going up a second time, and I certainly didn't waste anything xD
The BAR
This is actually the first Bar I have designed since I became an architect. This isn’t intended for construction though but for a client’s thesis proposal. I made this when I was still new at SketchUp and Vray in 2015.
KEY FEATURES:
- Vibrant interiors for energy boost
- Modern eccentric character
- Red and Black Motif
One of the greatest hidden gems of downtown Tampa is Hotel Bar, located across the street from our hotel on N Tampa Street and a fantastic place to get excellent cocktails. Their main menu is comprised of cocktails that originated in famous hotel bars, ranging from The American Bar in The Savoy in London to The Carousel Bar in Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. The space is cozy and comfortable and has a solid happy hour from 4PM to 6PM during the week, and it’s a great place to meet a friend for a drink or to impress a date before heading off for dinner.
Lucifer, ranting: Oh and he's so fucking infuriating! Thinks he can just waltz into that hotel, and into my daughter's life! Daring to argue with me, ME! The King of Hell! With his stupid coat and the ugliest fucking haircut I've ever seen, strolling around as if he owned the place!
Asmodeus, Sin of Lust, able to tell Exactly what is going on, pouring him a second margarita: Mhmm, tell me more, girl.
