adlers trio shenanigans

I’ll try to explain how I see them in my brain, it’s not super clear

they’re roommates, 3 bedrooms appartement, natural light

hoshiumi is the main cook (his momma thought him well)

ushijima make sure the house is clean, dishwasher duty

kageyama takes care of all the laundry, groceries and stuff like that (he’s weirdly good at it)

ADHD and autism alliance (plz look at them)

THEY ARE BROTHERS YOUR HONOR

takashi (ushijima’s dad) basically emotionally adopted tobio and kōrai, same thing for asa, hoshiumi’s mom, and miwa is basically their big sister

they made a tiktok account for fun (quarantine was long) and it kinda blew up over a video of hoshiumi trying to teach ushijima sarcasm and kageyama just barged into the room and slammed the door on hoshiumi

their tiktoks are basically just dumb shit of their life

tobio trying to do a flip and just ends up falling on the open dishwasher (and breaking it)

kōrai’s halloween costume being a Smurf and the blue face/body paint didn’t washed up for a week so he had to go to training blue

ushijima crying at the final of pitch perfect one (he was tipsy and tired)

ITS COLD—HOSHIUMI K. X GN!READER

author note—OMG, so i accidentally deleted it, but someone sent in an ask about how there aren't that many hoshiumi fics so i felt the need to write one!!! for the people (and for me). synopsis—there's nothing better, nor more cliche than reuniting with an old flame in the cold, pouring rain. content—timeskip!hoshiumi, profanity, intentional lowercase, mentions of being stabbed (used in similes), ends in angst. word count—514

the rain was loud, deafening even.

yet, a part of you was thankful.

thankful you couldn't hear your own heart shatter.

"[name]?" he called out, "are you cold?"

it had only been a couple years, but he looked different.

"i'm okay."

his hair was now short, yet he had grown taller.

it felt like someone stabbed you right in the abdomen, not bothering to be kind enough to finish you off, but rather to make you suffer in pain until you eventually die of blood loss.

it's not like he returned with someone new, but the fact that he returned as someone you could hardly recognize was enough.

but of course, his heart was still the same. he was still the same.

perhaps that made it worse.

hoshiumi unzipped his drenched jacket and held it out to you as an offering.

"i don't want it."

“it's cold,” he stated.

you ignore his words.

"why are you back?"

"to visit family," he says as if the answer is obvious.

"why are you deciding only now, after two years, to come visit family?"

"i visit all the time," he looks away for a second, unable to look you in the eyes.

"i just don't visit you."

you wouldn't think that it'd be possible to get your heart broken twice by the same person before its even fixed, yet here you were.

“did you just intend on never seeing me again?” you say louder.

“it's not that—i just couldn’t.”

"korai, i thought we were friends." your voice breaks as you try to put your feelings together in simple words.

two years was not enough to forgive him. to forget him.

you wanted his name to sound foreign to you, but you couldn't help but say it with familiarity.

almost as if you never stopped saying it.

"[name], i thought we were more." he says, a pain slipping into his previously steady voice

if the rain wasn't so loud, the silence would've killed you.

"i got a haircut." he choses to change the subject.

"i see that, it suits you."

"i thought you said you liked my long hair."

"i didn't like your hair. i just liked you."

only for a second, hoshiumi doesn't know what to say.

"it's cold." seems to be the only thing he can think of.

"so why are you just standing in the rain without an umbrella?" you almost smile at the situation.

"i didn't plan on it, it just happened." he pauses before adding, "why are you standing on the beach while it's raining?"

"i don't know, do you want me to leave?"

"no." he shakes his head, "do you want me to leave?"

without thinking, you shrug.

"maybe."

for once, he doesn't say anything. he just nods his head and turns around. and without another word nor question, he's gone.

and it's only now that you start to feel regret for letting him go.

it's only now that you're alone on the sandy, wet beach that you realize, it is indeed cold.

He’s so cocky and so self conscious at the same time

For instance, you are a second year like Korai

You are friends with Hirugami and Hakuba but for some reason, Korai just kind of ignores you

And when he’s not ignoring you, he’s usually nit-picking or saying some backhanded comment

For instance, if you have a crumb of food on your face after a meal, he will LOUDLY announce it to the entire cafeteria

You, of course, naturally try to ignore him

But Korai Hoshiumi is not a man to be ignored!

“YN why won’t you talk to me? Is it because I’m short?” Korai will probe

You 👉🏻😐 no-

“Then I honestly have no idea why you aren’t talking to me!” He cries

You 👉🏻👁️👄👁️

“You really have no idea why YN wouldn’t talk to you?” Hirugami asks, honestly stunned by how dumb the winged spiker really is

Korai 👉🏻🤔 no clue 🤷🏼‍♂️

“Korai you literally make my life miserable,” you say

Korai 👉🏻😱

You just roll your eyes and walk away because Yn does not have time for annoying boys

Korai just doesn’t understand tho but thankfully Hirugami is there to explain

“You can’t just bully people you like Korai, that’s rude and immature,” He says

“Ok well then what do you suggest I do?”

“Oh idk tell Yn you like them?” Hakuba chimes in

Korai 👉🏻😳 I can’t do that!

Literally hopeless istg-

Korai does take the hint a little and tries to be nicer

But that’s just suspicious 🤨

So you continue to just ignore him because obviously nothing good will come of this

Hirugami and Hakuba watch your struggles from the sideline, not fully understanding how Korai could legit keep messing this up

As you continue to ignore our seagull bby, he becomes depressed

And a depressed seagull is not a good seagull

“Nationals is coming up you guys we need to get him out of this funk!” The captain says

Hirugami and Hakuba look at each other and then at a depressed, bokuto knock off Korai face planted on the floor

Hirugami and Hakuba 👉🏻 we got this

They find you and start to explain what’s been going on

“YN why do you think Korai was teasing you in the first place?” Hirugami asks

You 👉🏻🤨 because he’s a jerk?

Hirugami 👉🏻🙄

“No Yn! Remember when you were little, what did boys do when they liked someone?”

“Oh they teased them! Wait- WHAT?!!?” You freak out, “KORAI LIKES ME!”

Of course you scream this in a totally full hallway of high schoolers

Hakuba and Hirugami 👉🏻🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

“Why wouldn’t he just tell me then? I thought he hated me!” You cry

“Korai’s got a literal volleyball for a brain Yn come on!” Hakuba responds

You 👉🏻 point taken 😐

“Actually I kind of have a crush on him too,” you confess

That’s when an awesome idea fills Hirugami and Hakuba’s mind

At nationals, Korai is still our depressed little seagull, moping around

“Hey korai!” You shout, running up to him

He turns to you and freezes

Because you are wearing his extra jersey

That Hakuba totally stole from his locker but that’s not the point

Korai 👉🏻👁️👄👁️ YN-

“I like you Korai and I just wanted to come cheer you on! And to tell you that if you ever tease me again I’ll make sure you shrink instead of grow,” you smile

Korai 👉🏻 *completely ignoring threat* you like me? 👁️👄👁️

You just smile and roll you eyes before kissing his cheek

“I’ll see you later!” You say, running through the crowd to get to your seat

Korai is too stunned to speak

Hirugami and Hakuba watched the entire thing

Suddenly Korai shouts, “ALL RIGHT!” while doing a fist air punch

hi I'm obsessed with your ngc hospital au, I need more hcs if you have any pls pls

one note on this, i haven't fully decided what everyone is, but I think i want the ngc to be like full staff, and if they're staff at the imaginary hospital the involved first years are residents at the moment. It gives the NGC more authority and more room for FY to mess up (Third gen Captains???? idk i'd prefer to include tsuki over yamaguchi at least as a doctor anyway, Yamaguchi would be office staff if anything). I will attempt to organize my thoughts on this.

Okay, New Gen Captains first

So, i want to switch Futakuchi and Shirabu's focus so that Futakuchi is the emergency doctor and Shirabu is in general surgery. It feels more Futakuchi's speed, he's not always in control but it takes it head on, where Shirabu is more of a controller he gets things where they need to be. Though I do still think Shirabu takes shifts in the ER relatively often.

It might be a little projecting but Shirabu has moments where he kind of zones out when lots of stuff is happening around him, like everyone else is moving in slow-mo, especially if he's overstimulated. He likes a quiet OR with the beeping of monitors to focus on.

Shirabu sees a lot of different things and maybe it's a research hospital, and because of that Konoha is always approaching him about drug trials and getting involved. He doesn't have to tell the pretty doctor that he just wants an excuse to talk to him.

I've mentioned it but i'm gonna reiterate and add, Yahaba has the steadiest hand in the office, his stitches are the cleanest and his hand writing is the neatest, the nurses appreciate it. But he also takes a little bit longer in surgery.

The doctor the nurses like the best though? Kanoka. No doubt. I think her and Aone would be good friends.

Sakusa cannot be interrupted when scrubbing in or else he starts over.

Sakusa has terrible bedside manner, he's so blunt about it, but he's very very good at his job. He knows the brain\nerves hardware not the software, emotions are Akaashi's job.

Sakusa and Akaashi actually get along really well, 2 weirdos. Though Sakusa will not go in Akaashi's apartment ever, it's a mess it's terrible.

Hoshiumi is the most chaotic doctor, he's a trauma surgeon so naturally he spends most of his time on call in the emergency room. But he's not great at sitting still so, he likes to just show up places. (others that like to just show up: Usuri)

Terushima is also chaotic, but not while at work. He gets so focused and is very efficient. He is however the one trying to wrangle the NGC for after work activities along with Yamamoto and Atsumu

Ennoshita and Yamamoto end up interacting a lot, because Yamamoto's patients often need some course of physical therapy.

First Years!

Tsukishima as a Resident along with Goshiki but he spends more time with Akaashi in the psych department, so he'd have the plot line of understanding and like working through his problems with trusting people through what he sees at work. Mentor figure akaashi??? accidental mentor?

Speaking of Goshiki, I think Shirabu cannot handle him alone he needs a buffer in almost every situation but Shirabu is always surprised/impressed with how he completely changes when in surgery, kid knows what he's doing he's just excitable and a little full of himself

Koganegawa is an emergency med resident, he's really good at working the odd hours and bouncing from case to case. He knows what he's doing but he can be a bit much for people

I want to include Kindaichi and Teshiro too, but I'm not sure where they'll fit in

ROOMMATES!!!!!! and general living situation HCs

Yahaba and Shirabu

they're odd roommates both bring a bit of rich kid energy but very differently like Shirabu has a really minimalist way about things, whereas Yahaba is a trinkets person he's photos up everywhere, he's got little collections, he's decorated they're living room, he has a cat that roams the apartment and acts like it hates Shirabu but sleeps in his laundry

Ennoshita and Daichi (who is a paramedic in this)

childhood friends to roommates, it makes their families happy to know they're together

Tsukki, Goshiki, and Koganegawa

that one is a mess for a while, but they coexist fine, Kogane works weird hours whereas the other two have more regular schedules. They all have time when they're the only one there (that's awake at least)

Futakuchi has a tiny 1 bed apartment because it's all he could afford in the city when he first got there and he never got around to finding a better place. He'll argue it's closer and he can walk to work, so it's better, but no one else agrees

Sakusa and Komori

The place is spotless, except for Komori's room (still clean but typical clutter, ya know). He keeps common spaces clean for Sakusa's sake though.

Anyway I'm super happy someone else is maybe invested in this as much as I am!
