King Charles III is hosting Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife Kim Keon Hee on a state visit from November 21-23.
It is the second incoming state visit hosted by the King during his reign.

This is from the Dismounting Ceremony at Horse Guards. 125 years ago Queen Victoria caught the entire Guard drinking on duty so she punished them with a daily inspection to make sure they were behaving themselves. This was back in 1894 when every dress she had was black, every hat she had was black, and all of her moods were black as well -- nobody messed with her in those days. The 100-year punishment was supposed to have expired in 1994 but our current queen kindly decided that they'd have to carry on with it for all eternity. So let that be a lesson to you: no drinking on duty!

#; mun speaks#[ THIS IS MOSTLY A JOKE#im in Madrid with lacomandante and at the reenactment parade we went to got a Bit Worrying#one of the Imperial Guard Dragoon's horse went ape shit and i hit the dirt HARD#the poor guy ended up getting thrown a few meters down the road#AS FAR AS I KNOW he wasnt hurt and we're all okay if a bit Shook™#I've got a good bit of experience with horses but holy shit lads it was ALARMING#anyway didn't think I'd actually be fighting the French here on our Napoleonic War tour but here we are#yes i will post pics later!!!! be careful out there!!!!! ]
