Buffy Ships I Like But They Get More and More Strange (once again please no spoilers past 6x10)

note that this includes canon pairings and also characters that I think would be cute together but were never together, I’ve only gotten to episode ten of season six so any future ships will be ignored, and ships I like now I may start to dislike or like less due to future events, I have not seen ATS so no ships from that, and it’s by comparative rarity, not by how much I like them. If they were ranked by favoritism, Jenny and Giles would be first <3

Willow and Tara (like it less after Willow manipulated Tara and just became a general megalomaniac, but I liked it in seasons four and five and can appreciate that it was one of the first long term lesbian relationships on TV.)

Xander and Anya (I am worried please just talk to each other about your issues and fears of getting married. You had an entire duet about it. You know from that that you both love eachother but are afraid. Just talk please. Why can no one in this show fucking communicate.)

Jenny and Giles (</3)

Spike and Drusilla (Honestly don’t know whether it’s more or less well liked of a pairing that Jenny and Giles so I just put them after them. Dealers choice or something.)

Buffy and Cordelia (were never actually together and both presumably straight but I think the idea is cute <3)

Spike and Joyce (Spyce? Not major into this I just had the idea a couple days ago and was like “lol that would be cute.” Joyce and Spike’s interactions in Lover’s Walk were cute and Joyce should get to have a relationship with someone who isn’t a murderous robot.)

Of course I'm proud of all the women and what they achieved this season, but if I had to pick three I'm the most proud of, I say:

Nicole Maurer: Probably her best season so far and more than 6 times the points she had last season.

Annika Sieff: An incredible first season among the jumpers with one top 10 result and a lot of results in Top 15

Heidi Dyhre Traaserud: Not even a full season and managed to finish in Top 30 overall! She'll probably be one to watch in the upcoming seasons

Show Off Tag

The wonderful, beautiful @kellyn1604 tagged me in a show off game for fanfic writers.

The Rules: Post the 5 fics you are most proud of then tag 5 people.

1. Moonchild

This fic has some of my best writing or at least the writing I like the most. It’s dreamy and unhinged and raw.

When I started this fic, I was working a temporary but high stress assignment for my work, which required 10-12 hour workdays. I was convinced that my writing life would suffer and I’d get little done during the seven months on this assignment. Lo and behold, I started writing “Moonchild” during this time and was more consistently productive with writing than I’d ever been. This story is the living embodiment of “I shall find a way or make one.”

2. Badlands Howl

This is my favorite story and the one that holds the most special place in my heart. Of all my fics, it’s the most personal. I will never have the right words to say what this one means to me but I cherished my time writing it perhaps even more than the final product itself. There will never be another like it and I’m blessed to have brought this one into creation.

3. Gods and Monsters

This is my magnum opus (or will be). The most challenging writing project I’ve ever taken on. I cannot die in peace until this story is finished. I’m not being melodramatic. If I ever come back as a restless spirit, it will be because this story is my unfinished business. It’s one of my only stories that I ever felt transcended fanfic and needed to become its own thing.

4. Thunderstruck

This is the first fanfic I ever completed and first one I came back to after my four-year hiatus. I never expected it to receive the reception it did or to become my most popular fic, but I’m so proud of it.

5. Map Daddy

I wrote this fic in the span of about 8 hours. It’s 11k words. It’s absolutely insane that I wrote that much in one day but it was a great outlet for election anxiety and about an hour or so after I posted it, the election results were announced. Success!

Danger literally lives in Milo, yet Amanda has not only learned to accept that but also to be part of his support system and help him face living with Murphy's Law. I think this song would fit their more grown-up selves perfectly, what with "our coming of age has come and gone" and "give you a child"

Sweet Nothing

Amanda has lots of anxieties and gets stressed out easily, but Milo, his sweet ray of sunshine self, and his ability to roll with the punches has helped her to face things better. They balance each other out so well 💙
