^^^ A homophobe at the University of New South Wales who refused to use a stairway painted in Pride colors probably didn't do his gonads any good by trying to slither up the railing.
h/t: Comic Sands.
Perhaps the Capitol steps in Washington should be painted this way to deter a repeat of January 6th by pro-Trump terrorists. 🤔

ugh I love morality in good omens but more quintessential: love.
Crowley and Az love each other for 6000 years. They risk their existence, freedom, life, joys for each other because it's not worth having without the other one.
Bee and Gabriel give up their respective posts for each other because love is more important. Gabriel performs a miracle so that Bee can listen to the song they like, ffs.
Madam Tracy and Shadwell ignore the fact that they're a witch/peeling back the veil and a witch hunter because they're in love.
Anathema and Newt defy destiny, Anathema rejects her life as a descendant, a witch and a witch hunter denying the fibre of their being for each other. Anathema is the first to value Newt's incompetence with computers because they LOVE EACH OTHER.
That's why the end is so jarring. We see love conquer the impossible, unite polar opposites, we see people that are so diametrically different brought together by love. Episode six is the first time love loses. It's the first time that it's not a snap and done situation. It's the first time that people are driven apart by the forces pulling them.

The clear scorn and bewilderment on Meloni’s face are a dead giveaway that she didn’t expect such a confrontation, not at a time when she couldn’t Google a demagogic response or demand her consultants to suggest one she could repeat word-by-word.
The confused excuse she offered, that her government is following court decisions and is not deviating from previous administrations, is completely false. In Italy adoptions (including second-parent adoptions) by same-sex couples are ruled by courts in a case-to-case scenario due to a shameful legislative gap, one that courts have been asking the government(s) to fill. Besides, while with the previous administrations the situation remained stagnant, it definitely is taking a turn for the worse now.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau certaintly isn’t the first Canadian to deal with Meloni’s homophobia. Back in 2016 her party Fratelli d’Italia/Brothers of Italy used, without authorization, a picture of a couple of Canadian fathers shedding tears of joy as they held in their arms their newborn son born via surrogacy, as part of a campaign against surrogacy and adoption by same-sex couples. For no apparent reason the picture was flipped horizontally, with the addition of the party’s logos and two captions saying, “He will never be able to say Mum” and “The only rights that need protection are the child’s rights.” (Source: [X]).
In 2016 Giorgia Meloni was also interviewed for the TV program “Le Iene/The Hyenas” along with Paola De Micheli (a member of the center-left party Partito Democratico/Democratic Party), during one of their double interview segments. When asked about the possibility of having a gay son, Meloni replied, “I’d rather not,” only to add a few moments later, “I’d still love him, though.” Later in the interview, when asked “Better gay or left-winged?”, Meloni replied “Neither.” When De Micheli was asked “Better gay or right-winged?” and she replied “Surely gay,” Meloni exclaimed in dismay “’Mmazza!” which can be roughly translated as, “What the hell!”. (Source: [X]).
Meloni often claims she isn’t a homophobe, that she simply believes that every child needs a mother and a father, that she is against adoption by single parents regardless of sexual orientation too, but that this doesn’t make her a singlephobe, to put it in her own words. And yet the interview from above is one of the many proofs of both her personal homophobia and her party’s. During a meeting that was part of her political campaign in September 2022, an LGBT activist waving a Pride rainbow jumped on the stage to criticize her bigoted views. Meloni’s tone was generally condescending, pretending to praise the activist for his courage while actually trying to ridicule him. Among her confused replies, she stated that Italian LGBT people don’t face any discrimination, that in any case LGBT fundamental rights would be a matter of democratic debate, and as some people are against equal marriage and adoption, this must be accepted in the name of democracy. What’s most upsetting is how she also claimed that Italian same-sex couples can access to civil unions after all, implying that they have no right to complain. Thing is that Italy had civil unions only in 2016 and certainly not thanks to her, who has always staunchly opposed them. As of May 2023, Italy and Greece are the only two countries in Western Europe without equal marriage, barely civil unions that grant some but not all legal protections that marriage grants.
Meloni’s typical excuse for her bigoted views is that when she was a little girl her father abandoned her and her sister, leaving them to the care of their mother as a single parent, so she personally experienced how every child needs both a mother and a father. The truth is that children only needs strong and reliable parents. Many people were raised in families that couldn’t have been more traditional, and yet it didn’t go well: They would have rather had two worthy mothers, fathers, non-binary parents, a throuple, a single parent, but whatever the case good parents. It is base demagogy to claim that the children of a same-sex couples will never be happy as they will never be able to say “Mum” or “Dad”: some people have only brothers so they will never say “sister”, while other people only have sisters so they can’t call anyone “brother.” Are these people condemned to misery? Should their parents have thrown their TV in the garbage and tried every day until a child of a different gender would have been born?
Last but not exactly least: Meloni and her party tend to use the pretext of being defenders of Catholic values to motivate their anti-LGBT views. However, many of her party members are divorced and Meloni herself has been living with her partner for years without marrying, and they have a daughter out of wedlock. These are all sins in the eyes of the Vatican. Hypocrisy, much?
