I’m angry and sad.

i am so sad about how everything about dwd is going. i mean, this movie could’ve been an amazing project:

great cast (florence pugh, chris pine, gemma chan… i mean, they are very great actors. Chris was born in this industry; Gemma works for the cinema, for the theatre and she is a dubber too; Florence is one of the most talented actresses of our generation and we will see her holding an Oscar in the future);

a chance for harry to enter in this new world and for being taken seriously as an actor. but now we have a general public tired of his dramas and laughing at him all the time;

a female director: do you know how difficult is for a woman to emerge in Hollywood? look at the difference between the numbers of male directors and the female directors for example. hollywood is leaded by men basically and we could’ve had a woman leading a movie and showing that we exist in this industry and we are so fucking great.

i am so disappointed in this project not as an harry’s fan, but as a woman. we are in 2022 and o. cockburn decided to use a man’s name (harry styles) to emerge, to gain a worldwide success (i know she was an actress before harry and blablabla, BUT we can’t deny that she gains a lot of fame because of her stunt with harry). this is the most sexist thing she could’ve ever done: in a world where women are not taken seriously, where a lot of people think that women need men, she decided to USE a man’s name to have success instead of proving that we, the women, are talented, great, amazing, wonderful artists and don’t need a fucking man to gain our goals because we are enough. we can conquer everything with our own strenght. we don’t need our name written next to the name of a man to emerge. but in the past months her actions said again and again that these stunts are needed to gain fame, that we need men to have success. this is so wrong and i feel so insulted as a woman.

this is a total mess. thank you, olivia wilde for insulting all the women who fight everyday to be recognized.

If some harries are watching the movie in hope for more steamy sex scenes with Harry: DON'T BOTHER. The two sex scenes are literally completely showed in the trailer. I thought that they will be more in the movie with these two scenes but nope lmao. It's crazy how Olivia marketed all of her movie about these 10 secondes sex scenes and "woman's pleasure" when the movie is literally not about that at all. It's about patriarchy, sexism and abuse. Now I understand why Florence is pissed off about the marketing.
