I need everyone to know that I love this cafe owner, courted his mate with dancing, tea expert man.

The important thing to understand about Armand’s autism is that his unnatural way of behaving, the coldness and the blank expression, are the mask. Armand is not someone who is naturally numb and inexpressive, he arguably tends to be more hysterical than Lestat! When Armand is unmasked he’s over emotive and struggles a ton with emotional regulation, and his way of masking that is to restrain his reactions and appear distant and unaffected. Armand is not the type of autistic person who is monotone bcus of his autism, he’s the complete opposite! The other end of the spectrum. His emotional reactions are so off putting and extreme that he masks by stifling them. Armand in his natural state screams and sobs like he’s being killed, tears at his hair when he’s unhappy, frowns so intensely that he “looks horrific” when angry, laughs uproariously like a child, etc. I get the vibe that many Armand Autism Truthers see him as someone who makes minimal effort to appear socially acceptable/mask and operates in his comfortable, natural state of flatness + strangeness, but this doesn’t seem to be the case to me!! Armand is like a tiny compacted ball of Big Feelings that is being weakly constrained with wide blank eyes, an unreadable frown, and dissociation.

He has the money. Dude owns a whole casino, so that being said. He spoils you. Expensive jewelry, new clothes or anything that those pretty eyes of yours look at for little longer.

He’s not used to expressing his emotions and feelings by touch, words also often don’t work. It feels weird to just.. Say whatever he has on his mind freely.

With that being said, after you introduced him to cuddling and just talking about his day he slowly began opening up. Being more expressive and learning to communicate with you better.

Likes it when you play or braid his hair, it feels nice when you run your fingers delicately through his soft hair, talking about your day and all the small things you did.

He isn’t the one for public affection, well at least not the very explicit one. He likes to send you loving smiles, subtle squeezes on the waist or a caress on your cheek to brush the stray hairs away from your pretty face.

When he comes tired after all day of work in the casino he loves to just hop in a bathtub and relax.

What’s that got to do with you? Well…

After some time of being together, learning to trust you and knowing you’re not just here to use him for your benefit, he allows you to wash him. Not in a sexual way (although it also can be it if you want) but just in a way to show you that he loves and trusts you enough to let you help him wash his hair, back or even hop into the bath with him if you both feel like it.

Doesn’t like when the other DOA guys get close to you. You’re someone he hold close to his heart, he cannot afford to lose you. Same thing with the casino…

If he’s needed in some meeting or a mission (that he definitely doesn’t want to be a part of) he tells you to stay away for some time. For your sake and his sanity.

Overall, he’s great. He has still a lot to learn, but he’ll manage. Loves you to death and knows you do too. <3

Now that I myself have a machine powerful enough to play Red Dead I can't help but notice how unphased Arthur is by so many things. Like, the strange mans cabin???? You walk into a weird shack in the swamp with weird decorations and eerily familiar stories etched into the walls and drawers, and Arthur just... doesn't decide to tell anyone? Or how you can see the strange man in the mirror, I haven't experienced it but just???????

When pinkertons see him with Jack he's all "Oh boy I gotta tell Dutchy about this" but when he comes across the strange mans shack he's just like, "Shit whoever this is talking about got some weird fans, huh?"
