Without You [Yoongi x Reader, Hobi x Reader]

25. Betrayal ✎

Jin rushes to the driver’s side of Yoongi’s car, sliding between his group mate and the metal death trap he’s about to climb into. Meeting the rapper’s glare, Jin flashes his brilliant, self-effacing smile and says, “Maybe you should let me drive.”

He holds out his hand expectantly for the keys, holding the smile until Yoongi relents. He all but slams the keys into Jin’s hands before stalking around to the passenger side and clambering inside. Jin arches his neck back, stealing a calming breath while he stares up at the glowing moon, and then slides into the driver’s seat.

“Do we actually need to go to the studio?” he asks, starting the ignition.

Yoongi lets out a scream instead of answering.

Jin nods, as if this is exactly the answer he was expecting, and backs out of his in-laws' driveway. He might as well head back to Seoul but he figures they’ll probably end up at Yoongi’s apartment rather than the studio. He still hasn’t totally pieced together what set Yoongi off but he knows it has to do with Jay provoking him about y/n.

The silence stretches between them as they get on the road but still Jin doesn’t push. He’s learned that it’s best to let Yoongi stew on things and then speak when he’s ready. He knows it’s hard for Yoongi to put his feelings into words but he finds a way eventually.

After what feels like an eternity, Yoongi sighs and drops his head into his hands. Jin keeps his hand steady on the wheel but takes a moment to look Yoongi over. His shoulders are shaking and barely audible over the whir of the air conditioning he sniffles.

Jin returns his attention to the road but reaches across the center console to pat his friend’s shoulder.

“Did you know?” Yoongi hiccups.

“Did I know what?” Jin counters.

“I know you knew about Seojun. There’s no way y/n kept her child from Irene and there’s no way Irene would keep that a secret from you but did you know he was mine?” Yoongi asks. He’s pulled his face out of his hands now and is staring pointedly at his hyung.

Jin swallows hard. So that’s what this is all about. He’s honestly more impressed that Yoongi didn’t have a more dramatic reaction. y/n and Jay survived and that’s surprising considering how scathing Yoongi can be when he wants to be. That’ll probably come after Yoongi has come down from his shock.

He nods, “I knew.”

“Hyung!” Yoongi moans, falling back in his seat, “How could you keep that a secret from me?”

“It wasn’t my secret to tell you,” Jin says. It’s a flimsy argument considering that Yoongi really did deserve to know. Everyone had had misgivings about y/n’s decision, of course, but they had respected her wishes at Yoongi’s expense.

“Why does everyone keep betraying me?” Yoongi sniffs, “You’re supposed to be my best friend, Seokjin.”

His words wound Jin. He’s right though. For Yoongi, the people that he has loved and trusted the most have all left him without hearing him out. They’ve ignored him or lied to him and now Jin is included in that list of people. He wants to be angry at y/n for making him complicit but he knows there was no clear right choice.

“I know, Yoongi, I’m sorry,” he says, “How did you find out?”

Yoongi scoffs, the sound so bitter, so pained, that Jin worries for y/n when he eventually lets it out on her. “Jay told me.”

This surprises Jin. Jay had been firmly in y/n’s corner this whole time. She might kill him for it.

“And you know, that’s understandable. It’s so obvious that he’s in love with her so it makes sense he’d try to drive a wedge between us but when I realized he was telling the truth? I feel sick, hyung,” Yoongi confesses.

“I’m surprised you didn’t rage at both of them right then,” Jin says.

Yoongi shakes his head, “In front of her parents? In front of…” — his next words come out strangled — “the baby? I wasn’t going to humiliate myself like that.”

“I guess that’s a good call. You are reacting way better than I would have if I found out the love of my life hid a child from me,” Jin says.

“Love of my life,” Yoongi scoffs again, “What a joke.”

Jin grimaces. He has no right to be disappointed about Yoongi reacting this way but a part of him had held out hope that Yoongi and y/n would find their way back to each other eventually. Even now, he still hopes they’ll find a way to heal but there’s bound to be a lot of pain first. And with Jay back in the picture, it might be too much all at once for Yoongi to move past.

“I guess a secret child does put a damper on things,” Jin tries to say lightheartedly.

Yoongi’s tone is dark, “Do you think she ever loved me?”

“She loves you right now,” Jin says but Yoongi shakes his head.

“If that were true, I would have known that I was a father two years ago.”

“Yoongi, it’s more complicated than that. Take some time to wrap your mind around things but I think you should talk things out with y/n before you go jumping to conclusions,” Jin says.

Another silence falls over them. Jin can only imagine where Yoongi’s thoughts have taken him. He has to consider the fact that he has a son now. y/n lied to him but he has to reconcile that with the fact that he absolutely still loves her. Jay is back in his life, another person that he has loved for a long time, another person that left him behind and hurt him.

He needs time and Jin will stay by him as long as he needs him.

They pull into the parking garage for Yoongi’s apartment and even though Jin is the one behind the wheel, the parking attendant knows to open the gate. All the members have open invitations to park at each other’s places. He slides into one of Yoongi’s open spots and turns off the car.

“Am I the only one who didn’t know? You know, that Seojun is my son? Did the rest of BTS know?”

“Jimin was the first to know,” Jin says, “And I only got to know because Irene knew. And Jay knew because, well, because he lived in LA and they reconnected.”

“And that’s it?” Yoongi asks.

Jin bites his lip, “Well, no. Jungkook knew too because of Jimin.”

“But not Namjoon and Tae?”

Jin shrugs, “Not until a few days ago.”

Yoongi’s shoulders slump, “But I was the last one to find out?”

Jin nods apologetically. Yoongi just sighs and pushes the passenger door open, “So everyone took y/n’s side. I guess I should be grateful to Hobi. At least he kept it real with me in the end.”

“Yoongi, that’s not fair!” Jin calls as Yoongi steps out of the car.

The rapper stoops back down to peer into the car, “You can take my car for the night. Go back home to Irene. I just need to be alone tonight, I think.”

Jin is not about to let Yoongi be alone though and he chases after him to his apartment. Yoongi doesn’t really protest. He lets Jin camp out on his couch while he stumbles around the apartment in a daze, fixated on all the spaces y/n used to take up, lost in all the memories when he should have told her how he really felt.

He imagines all the signs of her that would be here if she had stayed. A lump rises in his throat when he realizes that there would also be signs of their son too. His spare room would be a nursery now. Toys would be scattered across the place. A high chair at the dining room table. Bottles and baby clothes.

That must be what her apartment with Hobi looks like now.

A sob escapes him and Jin is instantly at his side, wrapping strong arms around him and pulling him close. “I’m so sorry, Yoongi.”

Yoongi just sobs. He’s supposed to have y/n. He’s supposed to have Seojun. But his apartment is empty, barely even a space for him to inhabit. There’s only a huge hole now where his life was supposed to be.

"Show me this one with the pink heels," Hoseok bossed, cute face taking up most of your phone screen.

"You're sure it's not too short?" You asked quietly, pulling at the hem.

Hoseok wasn't kidding when he said he went shopping. You still weren't used to his rich and expensive ways, absolutely astounded when you walked into the apartment you shared with him to a million boxes with fancy packages and flouncy bows littering your hallway.

"Babe, you look so good- I'm debating canceling my set just to fuck you levels of good." He assured.

"I'm surprised you got all my measurements right," You mumbled, ignoring his flair for the dramatic.

He smirked, propping his phone up on something so you had a good view of him leaning back into the couch, manspreading wide with his hands thrown behind his head. You froze, halfway through the process of switching between two pairs of the highest heels you had ever seen to watch him settle in to enjoy the show- you.

"I know your body like the back of my hand, what can I say?" He flirted shamelessly, making warmth spread in your belly.

Man, it's been a long time since the two of you had gotten to have sex. You raised an eyebrow at him, taunting him with an unspoken dare.

"I love shopping for you- dressing you up in expensive shit like a doll." He sighed, hand creeping closer to his inner thighs.

You bit your lip, letting out an airy sigh, "Did you happen to buy any lingerie? You did say you wanted me to try on everything, right?"

His smirk deepened and he made a happy little noise, "Pink box- big white bow. Keep the heels on."

4 | samples and “samples”

A rapper and a singer working under the same company. Their rivalry is childishly unmatched. They certainly have something in common, besides both of them being lonely musicians. They’re both on the edge of being 30.

warnings : yoongi is shady sorta, they bicker like little kids, they makeout lol, hobi = cockblock (yes it’s a warning) this is a work of fiction babe!!

a knock came from the door of the studio yoongi was working in. it’s around 8:54 pm, no one should be roaming around his studio at this time but nonetheless he walks over and opens the door.

“oh god not you”

his face contorted to make a disgusted face. the ‘you’ at the door just so happened to be _____. “well you seem as welcoming as ever��“

“what do you want _____?”

“i’m here to listen to the sample of our collaboration, obviously” she said with an eye roll as if it was supposed to be oh-so clear. the taller male moved out the way to let her inside. “sit anywhere but don’t touch anything..” yoongi yawned as he spoke. he had been up since yesterday deciding what the song should sound like, what fans would want to expect or what he’d like to hear from the song.

“yeah yeah sure, i’m not five—“

“you act like it”

“mr min, be respectful to your co-workers, what if i decide to not collab?” a giggle escaped her glossed lips as yoongi made his way to his desk. “ms _____, that means you’d make no money so be mindful” was all he said as he began searching for the sound track in his files.

“fair enough..” the female took a seat on a couch against the wall of the studio. “so far i have 3 samples in abt 20-30 different variations, so i’ll play this one first” yoongi then began shifting and clicking his mouse around the screen. the woman in the room sat in silence as she watched his hand move around while explaining the way of the sounds.

“hey, you listening? or is my hand gestures too distracting for you?” the male said with a slight smirk and glint in his eye. “yes they are, your fingers are funny looking”

“you seem to be sending heart eyes at em though”

a beat of silence went by as they just stared at each other before the woman awkwardly laughed off the statement. “whatever lets get back to the samples please”

it’s been about 2 and a half hours of brainstorming and remixing sounds to come close to one they both find satisfactory. by this time, both parties are side by side on the couch sitting comfortably.

his nails.. did he get— “a manicure recently..?” the woman who sat with one leg over the other spoke part of her thoughts out loud.

“what?”

“huh..”

“are you talking about.. my nails?”

“oh.. uh yeah sure”

a wave of silence washed over as yoongi was thinking about his nails. “yeah i guess you can say recently, about a week ago?”

“oh.. niceee” was the response he got before they got back to working. the glasses on yoongis head fell off his head as he lowered it to pick up a pen.

without saying a word _____ picked them up and examined them. “slutty glasses..” with that statement the male looked up in confusion. he took a glance at the glasses and back to the woman who is holding them.

“you think so?” more silence passed as the woman carefully put his glasses back on his face. he blinked slowly, the gap between both adults begin to slowly close until their lips are ghosting over one another. “you look so pretty right now..” his gaze moved from her eyes to her lips. “mmh really?” she moved the hair out of his face to behind his ear.

their lips met in a quick but passionate kiss. as they pulled apart, a beat of silence passed as they stared into each others eyes. soon they met again to continue the kiss, this time they deepened it. yoongi slowly laid _____ back on the couch as she put her arms around his neck.

the lipgloss that _____ once had on, was now fading into the kiss. one hand beside her head and another on her waist, while one of her hands are in tangled in his hair and the other running up and down his arm. the woman under him began lightly tugging on his hair causing him to let out a soft moan that was swallowed up by the kiss.

just as the two parted to catch their breath, a knock came from the door. the loud sound startled _____ causing her to sit up quickly but knocking heads with yoongi in the process while he sat back in mild pain.

another knock came with a muffled voice on the other side. “god, that hurt.. what the hell _____?!” yoongi scowled while rubbing his forehead. “you should’ve moved faster!” the female whisper shouted. they both shared a glare as they fixed their appearances to seem put together.

another knock came from the door before yoongi opened it half way. “hoseok..what are you doing around at this time of night? practice?”. on the other side of the door stood, hoseok, the second best dancer in the industry. “yeah, i was stopping by to ask if you’ve seen _____, she wasn’t in her office”

“i’m right here, hoseok” the mentioned girl sprung from her seat and scrambled to the door. “what do you need?” hoseok glanced between the two with a somewhat lost expression however he proceeded to invite the both of them to his listening party that was happening in a months time. after sharing that information, hoseok came in and explained some things about the party. after 20 or 30 minutes, _____ took her leave quickly and awkwardly.

There's something wrong with Manager Kim YN Part 26

I'm so fucked up

YN took a deep breath, unsure how he was going to take this.

"I made contact with Ari's dad, three years ago. I'd landed in LA and had been feeling sick. I got tested and found out I was pregnant. I messaged him to tell him, but he said that he didn't want kids and didn't care what I did with it."

"Who is it, do I know him?" Jin asked standing up.

"We're not here to judge you YN. Just support you."

YN inhaled deeply. "If you hadn't come over it would have been even harder. But then Jackson had his world tour and it seemed a perfect excuse to live in a bubble for a little bit longer. But now, there's no avoiding it."

Jin held the bridge of his nose, looking up at the ceiling. "It's Yoongi isn't it?"

The words he knew, but dreaded to say out loud came true.

"Then you told me he has some on off girlfriend, the same woman I was sent to him because of, and he still went back to her," she scoffed in disgust.

"Even so, I can't believe he doesn't want to be a part of your lives," Jackson couldn't quite believe it.

Jin was picking up his jacket silently to leave when YN grabbed his arm.

"Seokjin don't do anything. Please," she saw the locked jaw and grew concerned. "Let me handle it."

Jin sighed deeply, "I ought to kick him out the fucking group, and then run him over and then back over him for good measure. Then rip him limb for limb."

"I'll get the shovel," Uncle Kim proclaimed.

"And I'm reporting for limb ripping," Jackson raised his hand.

"No one will be doing anything. No shovels, or breaking limbs," she warned them all, trying to not wake up the sleeping child next door.

"Fine," sulked Jin, "but if he provokes me then it's not my fault," he warned pulling on his jacket. "I need to go think."

"Seokjin! You don't have to leave to go think," YN called back to him but he wasn't listening.

"I think he um, took it well?" she looked at Jackson nervously.

"Damn, hyung, he just needs some time to adjust," Jackson pulled her back, "Truthfully I think I need some time to let it sink in too."

"Do I need to give you space too?" she asked sarcastically.

"A whiskey will do for now," he said pointing at the bottle on the table. "I'm sorry that you had to keep this to yourself for so long."

Yoongi woke early, unable to sleep. His time keeping had become atrocious but he was going to try.

"Hey man," he smiled fist bumping Hobi and Jimin. "You okay?" Jimin asked, as Namjoon drank his coffee and they waited to go up for some recording sessions.

"Yeah, fine."

Jimin nodded, "That's good man. Just cause YN is back, we hope you and her can be civil." He waved off behind Yoongi.

"Hi!" he giggled in a kiddie voice. "I'll catch you in a minute bro," he dashed over to where YN and Jungkook were standing talking. His vision was soon filled with the little girl he caught a glimpse of yesterday.

Yoongi smiled, she was dressed cutely, like a little lady as she squealed in excitement as the boys were playing hide and seek with her.

"Whose that?" Yoongi asked.

"That's YN's kid. So cute she is, look at em, she looks just like her," Hobi looked over at them.

"Her husband not with her?" he looked to Hobi, who shrugged his shoulders. "Jackson? She never told us if they were together, and we never asked. We didn't want to assume anything, or be rude. It must be Jackson right?" he spotted him arriving holding a child's bag.

"The two of them are pretty close, actually when you look at her, she looks a bit like him if you squint," Hobi waved to YN, "C'mon let's go say hi."

Yoongi stood hesitantly by himself, looking over at them, but his feet were already walking towards them.

"Hey," he said to the group.

"Hey Hyung," Jungkook smiled back.

"Am I your favourite now?" Jungkook asked.

Ari giggled, "no silly," as he pouted which made her laugh even more.

YN laughed nervously, as an oblivious Jungkook continued teasing Ari.

"Hey guys, who's this?" Yoongi finally smiled, lowering his mask.

YN caught Jackson's jaw tense up briefly. She looked at him, and they exchanged silent glances with each other.

"This is Ari. My daughter?" she looked a little confused.

What a dick. Here he was acting like he had no clue who she was.

"Hi, I'm Yoongi."

He shook her little hand. He noticed the bright hues of hazel in her eyes, the clearest eyes. Eyes that looked just like YN. She was definitely YN's daughter, her skin was a light tan, akin to his ex-wife.

"Hi," she said shyly, still staring at the man.

"Hey there Princess," Yoongi spoke with care.

YN wasn't happy with this little exchange, but didn't know what to say.

"Jackson, it's been a while," he reached out his hand politely to Jackson, who was caught off guard and could only nodd and shake it back. "How are you?"

He looked back at YN, suddenly it was like no one else was in the room.

"This is both yours daughter?" He asked a little surprised at his own question. He shouldn't have asked it, but somewhere deep down, somehow he hoped he was wrong.

"She's my princess," Jackson replied "Ain't you princess?" he gave her a snuggle and kiss.

Uncle Kim appeared, "The car is ready."

YN zipped Ari's coat up.

"Let's go Mama." Ari held out her arms to YN.

"Mama's coming sweetie, I just need a word with Yoongi here."

"Yoogha come too," Ari reached out to Yoongi demanding he pick her up.

Yoongi reached out but was cut off by YN who ushered her towards Jackson.

She waited for everyone to leave, snapping her head back.

"What the hell are you fucking playing at?" she growled quietly, pushing his chest with a finger.

Yoongi took a step back holding onto her wrist, in shock. "Woah woah what the hell did I do?"

"You know exactly what you didn't do. And then you come walking over like everything is fine? Do us a favour, keep away from me and my daughter. Only speak to me if it's about work."

"No I won't keep away from you. I ain't going no where Mrs Min."

YN took a moment to realise what he had called her. "I'm not your wife anymore."

She looked at him sad, as the shock of what he had spoken made him freeze and let go of her hand. Watching her storm off leaving him standing.

What the hell just happened?

What am I supposed to have done?

Why was Jackson being defensive with me? We got on well..there must have been a misunderstanding or something..

And why the fuck did I call her wife?

God I'm so fucked up.

Puzzled, he caught sight of her give him a disappointed look as she finally got into the car.

She didn't reply back.
