What happened?

Miles was always known to be a happy go lucky boy. But after the death of his girlfriend, there was nothing but a downward spiral. It was clear to everyone around him that he was deeply wounded and needed some time to heal, but what happens when he's left alone with the pieces and memories of everyone he's lost? When he's left with nothing but his reflection in the cracked mirror of Hobie's bathroom and a pretty pink headband of yours? I mean, nobody would notice if he was gone anyway, right? The universe would cruelly replace him with a carbon copy of some other chosen kid to swoop in and fight in place of him.

He was replaceable.

Hobie was the one who found Miles, floating face down in love-flushed water.

"Miles. Miles? Oi, mate c'mon y'gotta come out the bathroo-...MILES!? FUCK, FUCK!! C'MON MAN GET UP!"

There was no sound. He could still dimly see the panic of his close friend Hobie's face before the tiny black tunnel lost its only source of light. Unfortunately for Hobie, that would be the last time he saw those twinkling doe eyes peer up at him with nothing but love.

"HOLD ON, C'MON WE-...sniffle...WE GOTTA GET YOU SOMEWHERE, FUCK" Hobie yelled, scooping up the smaller boy from the rosé colored bathtub. He was limp and ice cold in his hold, and each step he took seemed to shake more and more life away from who he viewed as his little brother. The little conscious in his head knew that he was already gone, but that didn't stop him from hurling himself through the origami-cut portal and bolting through the halls of SpiderSociety in search of a medic. Someone, anyone that could help him. He didn't know if it was the fear in his lungs or the realization that Miles was too far into the ice to be pulled out, but he found himself losing control of his legs as soon as Miles was in a hospital bed, stretched out in an eerily inhumane stance.

And it didn't take long for the available nurses to pronounce Miles Gonzalo Morales dead upon arrival. His skin was freezing to the touch, his face vacant of any soul, and his usual tense and alert posture was now indefinitely relaxed and settled. Miles Morales of Earth 1610, Son, Boyfriend, Friend, and little brother to many, was deceased.

The news spread like wildfire, and Pavitr was the first one to speed into the medical wing.

His hair was a mess, he was still in pajamas, and he couldn't bring himself to stop crying. He was bitten by the grief bug almost immediately when he saw his best friend lying there in a red splotchy white tee. If it wasn't for Hobie's firm and almost painful grip on his shoulder, he would have deluded himself into thinking he was still sleeping. And deep down he prayed that he was, and this was some sort of fucked up coma-dream he got himself knocked into during battle. He didn't care how icy his body was, nothing stopped him from intertwining his hand with Miles as he attempted to communicate with his corpse.

"Hey, man! I-..sob..-hope you and Y/N are...happy up there! We-...we REALLY NEEDED YOU HERE, THOUGH" he shouted, earning himself a half-stern half-apologetic glare from a couple passing spiders. He wasn't ready to let go of the long nights he'd spend binging American movies with Hobie and Miles. Nothing in the world could have prepared him for the vacant and distant expression on his face. So he too, joined Hobie on the floor in a pool of depression.

The last to find out was Gwen

Now, it wasn't because she wasn't in the vicinity when everything happened, not at all. Nobody wanted to tell her because they knew how crushed she'd be. She broke down almost immediately, losing her footing in the process. No amount of healing could fix or mend the amount of trauma she'd been through in the past year or so. Her first Spider-friend killed himself alongside his beloved girlfriend, she was kicked out of her home, and she wound up betraying Miles over some dumb theory. If she hadn't reminded herself that you and Miles were watching over her, she would've ended things then and there. She trudged forward daily with the weight of the world on her shoulders, dedicating every single move she made to her two favorite people above.

They fell into a routine of bringing you and Miles fresh flowers, red hibiscus for him and pink azaleas for you. They never went back to 1610, dreading the day that they'd see an unfamiliar suited boy swing across the Brooklyn horizon.

Like I’m dead serious: omega m/c who gets hired to coach all alpha bangtans soccer team ft Rebecca! Jimin whose also an omega and needs his cold heart melted by the m/c’s ever wavering optimism 🥺

Maybe the whole world thinks omegas can’t be coaches or run a football team. And it’s all to get back at jimin’s cheating ex alpha who always thought he got a little too close to the alphas on the team 👀 maybe jimin and the teams relationship is a little bit more than owner and player but jimin’s too emotionally closed off after the divorce to let any of them in…until the m/c

There are so many cute things to think of: the team getting progressively more competitive and driven to win because they know their sweet little omega coach is gonna smell really nice after and they all just want to see her smile. And maybe prove to her that they can all be good pack mates. imagine jk going absolutely feral and crushing the other team when the captain so much as /dares/ to sniff in her direction.

I get whoever was the ace in the team (somehow my money is on hobi) gets offered to transfer to a bigger better team and turns it down for her. Imagine close to the m/c’s heat she stays late to look over plays and they catch her nesting with their jerseys on the training room floor.

maybe she drags each of them in for scent marks after they loose their match and it’s the first time captain! Joonie has ever been scent marked before- he snaps his teeth at her and is so suprised (and maybe a little impressed) that she doesn’t even flinch, “you can snap your teeth all you want at me honey but that’s not gonna make you any more ferocious than a taco on a Tuesday” idk I really like all of teds little weird-optamisims you know? Those would be so much fun to write-

Oooof and when they find out that like ted she also has a pup from a previous marriage? They’re going to be scrambling over themselves to prove to her that they can provide for her and her pup 😭

What's my scenario?

Well, I competed, wholeheartedly, in my office's Halloween costume contest this year... and I lost.

This. I was Withered Chica. How did this lose? Against a girl in a black lolita dress with platforms and a white mask with blood tears? Against an OC??

So, any comfort scenarios you can link me to? Or, if you're bolder, could someone write my scenario?

If you want more details, read below ~

(warning; a bit whiny, which I try not to do, sorry)

I'm known by most as being a sweet, reserved, and devout worker; but also with a reputation for going all-out on dress-up days. Especially for Halloween. 🎃 I have for years.

Like always, I stayed up late and worked for weeks on my costume; compiling clothes & props and painting into the midnight hours. Was hard work, but it's always worth it when I step into my building and everyone flinches. My colleagues said I was a shoo-in to win Scariest Costume. In the office & out in the parade, I walked robotically everywhere. I had a sound box tucked away so I could make her groans & jumpscare noises. And mind you, I live in Florida! ☀️ I did all this, without eating anything after a light breakfast, and barely sipping any water through my under-mask's mouth slots. (Yes I had a 2nd mask on, of Nightmare Chica, for its second row of teeth!) But I didn't complain about it. I relished in it~

It's a personal thrill of mine. Performing in costume, either using my hip-long hair or hiding it in a net, especially to scare. ^^ I scare because I care, lol. (Monsters Inc/University scenarios are great too)

This time, I thought I had it in the bag. For years, the judges wouldn't choose me because my costumes, while very scary to my coworkers, were too obscure for the judges. I thought, surely, Chica would be scary *and* recognizable. And some of them did know what I was from. But alas~ 💔

I went back to my office desk sad, tearing up behind my mask. No one in my office has ever seen me cry, and thanks to my double mask, no one would. Several of them gave me sympathies, which I appreciated, but I kept my thanks short. I'm the nice level-headed trainer, and yes, there have been close moments before, but they couldn't see me like this. It was foolish to cry, I know, but I was hurt, and I never make a fuss or ask for anything. I just wanted.. Thankfully, everyone was excused to leave work early if they wished. So, I took my time peeling off my costume in the restroom as most everyone left. To the few left behind, I tried to excuse my flushed face and shiny eyes on the 1pm high hot sun. I stuck around just a little more, to finish a job. A half hour later, I was the 2nd to last one out. Drove home, listening to my Toon Patrol & The Duke playlists. Once home, I got myself a poké dinner, chugged bottles of water, took a pill for my aching head, and retired for a nap. X3 Imagining comfort scenarios, and passed out in minutes.

So, after all that, if I could be linked to a comfort fic for my situation, 😌 it would be much appreciated. Yes, I'm feeling better, but it'd still be nice, ya know? 👏 And I do enjoy reading new x reader scenarios.

MISS ANNNNAAAAA! 😘 How have you been? I do hope that you've been well and alright during the US tax season and news about sweet Hoberto's enlistment. Me and my old supervisor were too busy this week to discuss it.

I saw the lovely hug anon's message that was sent in a little bit ago and I had to drop in and say congrats 🎉 and that we all aspire to have our own romance that can inspire all the dreams of other lonely people 🥹. My cold heart fluttered while reading it.

It did kind of inspire me to drop in myself to let you know that we all do genuinely appreciate this little space you've made for everyone and that you and all the lovely anons and non-anons that respond genuinely help others process thoughts and life and all that stuff.

I genuinely don't know if you remember me either but, I would drop in as the accounting/🎓 graduate anon. I legit don't even remember the last ask I had sent you but, I have been well and still enjoy having your notifications on (it gives me plenty of joy in my down time or destressing time). 😁 I have done a bunch though since my last (remembered) ask -

That internship turned into an extended long-term position - I've been interning remotely with them since summer of 2022

Graduated w/ honors and now on track to graduate with my Masters in Taxation this December

Currently also working PT under my business school's admin as a tutor for my department - now known by most staff and made some really good connections for the future

Secured an internship with one of the top 4 accounting firms this summer (and expecting a FT offer with the big bucks)

Won a CPA exam materials scholarship (nearly $3k worth)

Submitted my application to sit for the CPA (basically the highest accounting credential to receive) exam and will be sitting for the first section by November

So truly, I'm always sending the biggest thanks to you and everyone else for giving me all the motivation and confidence boosters the last time because they've really made an impact for me! I love you guys and gals and anything you all go by and wish everyone the best. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

(I do apologize for how long this got though, once I started I apparently couldn't stop)

second of all -- hell YES to all of these wins? that CPA exam scholarship is a huge deal and i know you will crush that exam come november. i'm so glad you and other anons come here to share your wins because let's be for real, the world is forever on fire and it's nice to know good shit is happening to good people.

as for hobi going off into his military assignment: i'm sad. i'm not even gonna sugarcoat it 😂 but it's a matter of duty and pride and i support him and all the members as they complete their service. i mean, i don't have to be happy about it but i understand. it'll get easier once we get some updates from him. for now, sad girl hours are open 😭
