I still really don't care about the whole Riku, Rion, Kirinmaru and Zero plotline lmao

I didn't understand the whole Kagome and Rin having to be sealed (or frozen?) because of the pearls or whatever. It feels forced and unnecessary, just like in the anime

Tbh, all I see left of the HnY part of the fandom is mostly those same shippers pairing the 14 year old twins with Kirinmaru, same character that actually showed disgust of the fact of pedomaru marrying a kid (and no, it wasn't just cause of the prophecy shit that later became irrelevant like all the plots they tried to do and dropped because the studio had the writing all over the place). Really, don't even get me started on things the Sesshomaru's seiyuu and the director said.

This mindset has become an infestation. And no, I'm not afraid of saying it. Or them.

And I think people shouldn't be afraid to say it, especially if they want this community to live on for years to come.

Yashahime is an official product; yes. No, it's not a true continuation of it. In other words not "canon". It's just an official product. The movies, ovas, cd dramas are also all official products; even the og anime. The only thing that will be "true canon" is the manga the author wrote starting in November 13, 1996 in all black & white glory. And yes, that manga does not have saucerib nor ever implied it. The author stating he's her paternal/legal guardian figure makes that pretty solid. Anyone, who thought otherwise that— well that was just you 🙃

Her attitude towards the sequel, merch of Inuyasha refusing to even promote saucerib as a couple and her latest opinions with interviewers trying to push the idea of sequels for her other works says it all. The minute the spin off was over, it was like hny didn't exist and the only thing that did was Urusei Yatsura. Plus all the info we got here showing what actually went down with hny it's enough.

LIKE. I REALLY LIKE THIS RIN. i like the Rin that literally held a fucking decomposing virus sword to her neck and outright told her husband "if it'll keep our kids safe then don't hesitate to cut off my head" or when KNOWING she couldn't do SHIT against Kirinmaru like... literally at MOST buying her kids like, three more seconds to live (and i might be REALLY generous with three seconds, just because i like Rin) knowing that Kirinmaru would just instantly slaughter her but still be willing to do that because she's a mom and that's her precious family she loves with all her heart

and then we get to shit like, "i can't hug you yet even though running up to you and hugging you before you could even Not Hug Me Back would've been what was most ic for me," stupid-ass bullshit, generally being extremely passive (which makes sense in some capacity considering she can't fight) and just kind of once again feeling like a character who only really follows around what Sesshomaru does and says

(i know that scene in the last episode is. VERY infamous and kind of well-deserved but like while i do agree that it was NOT the right art and voice acting direction i UNDERSTAND what it was TRYING to accomplish which i think is kind of in-line with the Rin i really like so i'm not as harsh on it as others even though it was given incredibly poor direction in how to be executed which is creating discourse about it To This Day)

like, i KNOW this was a filler episode, but remember that one episode where Jaken was poisoned and Rin, this little kid, completely on her own basically went into demon territory and risked her life just to get the herbs that would save Jaken? (correct me if i'm wrong about this one i THINK this is how it went it's been like over a year since i saw the movie) the kid that in third movie wanted to try to bodyblock Setsuna no Takemaru from being able to reach Kagome because even though Kagome was stronger than her, she wanted to protect someone she cared about?

i feel like ONE of the Rins in HNY is absolutely that little girl grown up and now a mother and still having that fire in her she's had her entire life and the other is. really just kind of there to follow Sesshomaru around. i really love one of these Rins a lot and the other Rin i'm. kinda apathetic about. i know there's only realistically so much she COULD have done being the one normal person among all these fighters with powers but STILL i feel like we only got to see that Rin in like, glimpses, which is a shame bc i REALLY like that Rin that has the biggest balls of pretty much everyone in this entire franchise

and that is my Rin salt ty for coming to my ted talk i need to make rp icons of Rin at some point that's unrelated to anything but i should go icon Rin one day

i kinda hate when people criticize hny and all they talk about is sesshomaru being with rin… like even if they weren’t together the show still would’ve sucked(also just so people know I don’t ship them but I don’t mind them being together)….. the anime had boring characters with an even more boring plot also the animation was all over the fucking place… I just can’t believe how this sequel turned out…. They literally missed the mark on everything 

also do you guys remember when people were complaining about sunrise reusing fight scenes from the original anime? Someone posted a very informative thread about why studios do that and it’s actually so they can save money which I completely understand….. but I also think it kinda sucks because know one wants to see the same animation scenes we already saw a decade ago….a part of me feels like if they couldn’t afford to animate new scenes then maybe they shouldn’t have did the sequel in the first place…. also during the last few episodes some people thought sess and Kirinmaru were going to have a battle in their true demon forms…. Why y’all thought sunrise had the budget to do all that I will never know. :/

It's my completely personally biased opinion that anyone who doesn't find the bonkers energy of this show highly amusing is taking life too seriously. I mean Kirinmaru's metaphorical right arm is ... literally his right arm. As far as we know so far he only exists due to a careless accident of Kirin biology and metaphysics. If that's true the serendipity alone is what I can only call delightfully amusing. ( I don't care if the phrase delightfully amusing makes me sound like a prim old grandma sipping tea in a rocking chair by the way.😝)

Kirinmaru is a king who, alongside the Great Dog-Demon, had long reigned over the demon beasts. Kirinmaru ruled in the East, while the one who held the West was your grandfather, the Great Dog-Demon. Equal in strength, the two warriors ruled their lands while keeping watch over the other to maintain the balance in power.

HANYO NO YASHAHIME (2020-)

Since there's no Yashahime episode tomorrow I'm gonna reflect a little bit.

I really wish the resolution with Zero would have been drawn out more!

This past episode felt like whiplash to me....I was SO HAPPY seeing Rin freed from the tree! Sesshoumaru holding her! Towa and Setsuna remembering everything and hugging!! IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!

But. BUT. I'm going to miss Zero. She was the evil bitchtress from hell but she was so entertaining and salty!! I feel like she got the closure she needed but I felt like they nerfed her backstory in order to fit neatly in 23 minutes!! I really even enjoyed Riku being the one to kill her, but I just wished it happened a few episodes later, you know?

I feel like between the two of them, Kirinmaru may be the final bad guy but Zero was more fun and got me more riled up. She made me want our girls to take her down! Kirinmaru is hot and has a believable backstory but as a villain he's just ok.

I just feel a little weary on how the next half of the season will play out unless Kirinmaru really goes on the deep end. I need him to lose his shit!
