At the end of it all, to fix everything, the Hawkins crew had to go back to 1983 and prevent the first gate from ever opening. After that, they've got a chance to lead normal lives -- from November 1983 onward. OR Waking up to find out the government had busted a bunch of experimented-on kids out of Hawkins Lab over the weekend is somehow not the strangest thing that happens in Eddie Munson's junior year. No, that's a toss up between being reverse-adopted by a party of middle schoolers and the fact Steve Harrington won't stop staring at him.

What if you wake up one day, and find that the world seems a bit off? You see on the news that they were experimenting on kids in the lab of your small town (including the daughter of the police chief), and worse, the popular kids at school seem to be nice to him for no reason?

That’s exactly what Eddie has to go through. The whole story is told by his pov, and he has no idea what is going on (for a while only). And it is amazing! It’s about finding your people and living loving and peaceful lives, from the start. It’s about belonging. The party as a family and being soft together. Just, this story is super lovely, and the characterization is very good! <3

Ok I need help finding a fic and one of the things i remember about it is buck is stuck between two dimensions and is a ghost to Eddie and eddie helps him figure out how to get back and then the fic ends with Buck walking up to the loft of the firehouse like weeks later and he and eddie finally meet.

I hadn’t seen your tags on the “reconcile” post when I reblogged with my own but since we both said something to the effect of “I mean the only thing he’s ever really said about Ramon is that he taught him to bottle things up” and you made the excellent point of him not ever really seeming upset about that — therefore reconcile is a strange choice — now I’m wondering if its either something we haven’t heard about before or if someone (probably Frank) like points out exactly how unhelpful that’s been and how inadvertently harmful and then even though Eddie had never consciously put it into the category of things that damaged him, he now can’t not put it there. And therefore has to confront it in order to properly heal.

Idk this whole ask is probably just reinventing the wheel but using 3 instead of π to measure it, I guess my whole point is maybe it’s not going to be any of the sharp things that count as a reason to reconcile but just the realisation that something was way more fucked up than he thought at the time.

yeah yeah—i think it all depends on how they actually set up the whole eddie going to texas thing! him having therapy sessions where he can actually unpack his father's advice about putting away his feeling in the next couple of episodes seems unlikely, given the time constraints, and the same goes for 5x17 itself. so, i feel like if they're going to jump right into it, it might be something we haven't heard about yet, and it will slowly be revealed through whatever conversations he has with his parents, and—possibly—flashbacks. i do feel like the 'brushing it off and moving on' thing is part of a much bigger picture, and it definitely isn't some throwaway advice his dad might have given him once or twice so...yeah! i'm really excited to see how this plays out!

I read your 5.18 wedding spec after I wrote mine and I think that since we both independently came up with a scene that has Eddie, happy, dragging Buck onto the dance floor, that means it has to happen 100% right?

Also like even if he were getting grey hairs (idk how long ago that ask was I don’t remember when I last refreshed tumblr) I got my first grey hair at 23 in grad school and there’s a whole collection of them so like. Grey hair is basically just an indicator that you’re over 21 for sure.

Also? Super hoping mine unionise and form a silver streak at the front of my hair because I think that’s be badass

Hayley omg!!! Honestly especially nowadays, grey hair is so acceptable and so normal?? And it kinda makes people look more mature and distinguished. Also like even if he did have grey hairs, I feel like it’d definitely add onto his sex appeal? I for one wouldn’t be complaining about his little peppered locks 😍
