This is your sign to go do some adventurous learning and go to a museum 🏛 I went to the AIC over the weekend for class and saw many cool medieval things! Lots of reliquaries mostly, various kinds of armor, and some interesting if slightly funny paintings. #studygram #study #studymotivation #studymotivations #studyabroad #studying #studynotes #studyblr #studytime #studytips #studyhistory #studying📚 #artinstituteofchicago #aic #medievaltimes #medievalart #medievalhistory #historylovers #historyfacts #reliquary #armsandarmor #història #artmuseums #studyaccount #studyaesthetic #historynerd #historylesson #historygram #ancienthistory #studygramsbeatthealgorithm (at The Art Institute of Chicago) https://www.instagram.com/p/Co75qz_uhUt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Have you heard about or know of what a Cultural Genocide entails?! Queen Mother Dowoti drops Knowledge Reposted from @vodou_film Queen Mother Dowoti nails it on one of the prevailing factors why century after century, we find African/Black people regardless of geographical location, find themselves facing similar conditions of oppression over and over.... It's not just 'whitewashing' history is THE problem, but the 'Silencing of History' is an equally effective tool that leaves us without any Knowledge of Self and Potential! So up to us to fill in the missing pages of our History! This film tills in many gaps about the Haitian War of Independence, Pan-Africanism and Vodou....to make evident how these have always been the 'saving graces' over these centuries of Exploitation!
