Have you ever seen the "history of the entire world I guess" video by Bill Wurtz? It's awesome, anyways-

"There goes Buddhism, traveling up the Silk Road. I wonder if it'll reach China before it collapses again."

Wukong: "Oh hey, it's the pilgrimage!"

Oh gosh I feel like either the kids or Tang show Wukong that video to see how caught up on history he is. He surprisingly remembers a lot, but blanks at anything after the 6th century really.

He probably gets really fascinated by the pre-civilisation section of all the "crazy space dust" ("Its me!") and "thats a human person!". He'd be constantly rewinding and slowing down sections to take in the tiny details since pre-human history was rare in his day.

Video: "Whos the Buddha? This guy, who sat under a tree for so long that he figured out how to ignore the fact that we're all dying. You could make a religion out of this." SWK: *trying his best not to laugh cus he knows Buddha is watching him*

He also makes a bunch of obscure history jokes regarding India and middle asia that the others don't get, cus he hung out there for so long on the pilgrimage. Has strong opinions on the 3 Kingdoms era.
