when i said i wanted to live in a cyberpunk future, I meant chairs that can walk up stairs for disabled people and flying cars and cybernetic implants and limbs and neon billboards that play daftpunk.
i did not mean ai making my job more difficult as both a writer and a teacher. i did not mean corporations further puppeting the public and government with new tech.
"From a distance, the city appeared to teem with life. Neon lights tracing the contours of towering skyscrapers, sidewalks bustling with people. As she drew nearer, however, everything began to resemble one of those dreams you desperately wish to wake up from. They weren't people! The streets were filled with mannequins, and an eerie emptiness enveloped the surroundings. Who had arranged them here, and for what purpose? Suddenly, those faded films came back to her, the ones that showed how they tested atomic bomb explosions by constructing entire model cities — it sent a shiver down her spine. 'Calm down,' she thought, 'this can't be real; this city is genuine, made of concrete and steel.' Abruptly, one of the mannequins toppled over right in front of her, and on its back, a label read, 'Property of Supaya Corporation.'"
A couple of the prime writing examples and quests from my Cyberpunk end of year gaming.
"For punks that dream of glory on the battlefield"
A camo edgerunner 'kosukha'.
I was never understood or seen better!!!; Thank you CD Project RED. Glory to Poland. Also grats with Tusk. Fuck Duda and anti abortionists/tradcaths.
Also notably among the militech vets and mercs who inhabit Dogtown a sizable part is.. Slavic. Another is African. Another is Arabian.
Some trophys highlight that (needless to say I mow down any Scavs I run into either in NC or in DT).
Freedom.
Ayo Zarin is a killing machine I truly respect.
Voodoo boys are sometimes even more terrifying than the barghest.
Sightseeing in Terra Cognita. Very creepy, as the dude near Caliente spilled.
Her companion.
When I found Jig Jig Street I was not ready. I did not stop either, but nevertheless.
Finn is a nice dude. Stop slaanesh-shaming them.
Rude but fair.
Lol TDF forces kek.
Armed Homeless of Irpin and Bucha more like.
The fucking USHANKA itself. Some major Disco Elysium vibes I get from Phantom Liberty, along with GTA San Andreas, Liberty City (nice depiction of an Eastern European lol). Onepercenter biker gang dlc was also impressive. Pure Second Edition of Sabbat energy, New York and Montreal by Night of 3rd (Revised).
Some quests hit harder than others, like Back Against The Wall, Losing My Religion.
Also some inspiration was clearly taken from The Division's 1 & 2' Dark Zones. Open world, single play - amazing for peeps like me. Open world games for loners and solituders like me are Shadow of War, BG3, Cyberpunk 2077. Thanks we live now, yeah.
