Just a lil somethin’..He’s not perfect but I’ll just blame it on my feeling under the weather. I’ll have other opportunities to draw more, though, hm?😬

This was..SUCH a challenge to paint but I’m happy I got a chance to try because I’ve had it on my “attempt” list for a long time now. I lightened up the other side of his face a bit because I wanted a better look at him. The original image was heavily shadowed and you couldn’t really see much. And that vest? Don’t even get me started.🫠

It’s officially October!! The best time of the year is creeping up on us and I couldn’t be more excited!

WELL…I’m not entirely sure how accurate this is, considering we got a very heavily shadowed image when it came to his face. I’m sure I got some other bits wrong as well but I left it like this so that way once we get more info, I can change it accordingly.

I’ve actually had this drawn up since last year and if you’ve been watching my stories on IG, you’ll probably remember seeing it lol. I was just waiting for the right time to add to it. That time came.😅

I often get asked why I draw this guy so much..I’ve explained it in the past and some know the whole story..but to those that don’t, I suffer from severe anxiety due to a traumatic event. I discovered Bill’s work around the time it all started (early 2018). I drew him a few times and noticed my symptoms weren’t so crippling when I was distracted with drawing something I was familiar with. Over the years, my anxiety has lessened but my love for drawing this guy grew. He’s been my muse since then and I’ll always be grateful that his work, and face, literally helped me come out of a place I never thought I’d get out of. Now I draw him because I genuinely enjoy it and am happy when I have a pencil or paintbrush in my hand. My journey with this guy is all over the walls, in sketchbooks, even out in the world with some of you. And it honestly makes me happy that people enjoy these little creations as much as I enjoyed making them, even after all this time. Thank you for that, by the way..

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!🎄 It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t crank out a quick Castle Rock painting to end the night eh? I haven’t done one in over a year, so I needed my last piece of this year to be just that.

This has been SUCH a challenge but one that I welcomed because I don’t often do large detailed paintings..and when I do, I try to go all in. Now I know he’s not perfect, that’s to be expected, but I went outside of my comfort zone and attempted a texture I’ve never done before. It was surprisingly relaxing to paint all the little flecks of glitter and sparkle but if I’m honest..I wish to never do something like this again. At least, not for a very long time.😭😂

Drawn up the other day..More concept art based on what little we’ve gotten so far..left the “tattoo” off from his neck since we’re not sure exactly what that was. I’m probably still way off but only time will tell. Whenever that is.
