y’all i thought i had left the hermit!tommyinnit days behind me, but i accidentally came across this series based on a paradox wherein tommyinnit stays dead after this third death, and is sent to the Hub. the catch? its now 2012, and he has to take spare clothes from the lost and found. the clothes? the Red Sweater that grian wears.

tommyinnit becomes grian and its something i never thought i needed but its SO SO GOOD. like he trains himself to be Grian, all unswearing and good at building and the like. turned out that he Had to become Grian, because Grian wouldn’t have existed had he never taken the username.

he interacts with and becomes one of the Watchers the whole time, and its mostly just the first half of the first book where he refers to himself as Tommy, but after that its mostly Grian (and his sidekick: the Past) and its a super good take on an au i didn’t even know might exist !!

fair warning: it Does deal with time paradoxes and such, along the headcanon that Watchers exist outside of normal timelines and instead can go from one point to another freely.

its over 345K words (so far), and its fourth book is being worked on currently (last updated Feb. 3, 24 at the time of this post)

guys i don’t know how much i recommend thsi fic because its so well written and consistent

guys please i beg go give this series a shot its so worth it i promise you on the life of my best build
