“gosh fred! don’t yank me!!” Y/N laughed, as Fred Weasley “yanked” her into the common room.

“Ah, please! I’m not wasting anymore time!!” yelled Fred who was practically screaming.

both had left the Christmas Party in the great hall when Fred said that he had to show her something. ( “he’s gonna prank you I swear!” ginny had warned y/n. )

“here- uh okay. hold my hands Y/N.”

“and why’s that george?” Y/N said jokingly.

“shut up!” he said laughing.

the common room was lit; ginny and harry had done a great job decorating the room (mostly Ginny blushing at Harry. )but in Y/N’s Opinion, it just looked like a red room to her and it was practically blinding the poor girl.

“hey, y/n.”

you turned your head to see Fred’s eyes already at yours.

it was strangely strange to you. Fred Weasley was never this serious.

he smiled at you, looked up and said “oh, how did this come here?”

you already knew. your stomach dropped as you looked up to see a freaking mistletoe above you.

you panicked and turned to the side. but before you could sit on the sofa near, two big arms caught your waist and turned; twirled you around and made you face Fred Freaking Weasley

“Ah ah ah, not so fast pumpkin. never break tradition!!”.

he caught your sweet lips quickly; it was like a mixture of butter-beer and cherries. he moved his hand to your waist and the other to your soft cheek. he picked you up and swayed on the spot.

a few seconds later you and him let go for air just to see Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Harry there. flabbergasted. Hermione and Ginny blushing furiously, looked at Ron/Harry and left giggling.

“how does he do it so casually?” said Ron to Harry. as they left. “I dunno” Y/N heard Harry mutter.

let’s just say that all eyes were on you when you came back to the great hall.

I think the reason why there isn’t a lot of representation in the LGBTQ department in Harry Potter is because JK wrote the books for the target audience of children. And the books were written 1998-early 2000’s right? And truthfully I think there would’ve been a lot of backlash if she had. (Im not saying I’m against it or anything btw nor am I trying to stick up for JK) but i think there is some common sense as to why there isn’t representation in a children series written in the early 00’s/late 90’s.

However the names she chose for some of her POC people is inexcusable. Cho Chang? Kingsley Shacklebolt? That’s just wrong af.

I was thinking about posting this after I wrote it, but then i was actually THREATENED (not really but yeah really) by @bjornthorsson20 no less... Humph. You get your wish (demand?) sir.

I give you, this lil ficlet born of random conversations that have nothing to do with Romione and yet still somehow come back to Romione:

Muggle Magic

"Ron? Are you ready to go?" Hermione bustled around their sitting room, anxious to get to Kings Cross Station for their kids.

Ron was anxious too, but also slow.

"I'm ready," he said as he finally sauntered into the sitting room. "We have plenty of time love. Train probably hasn't even cleared Nottingham yet."

"I want to be there when it pulls in!" As she grabbed her purse, her muggle cell phone rang from somewhere inside. Ron was still getting used to the thing, and jumped when it rang.

Hermione glanced at her watch and rolled her eyes. "It's Ginny. We'll see her in 2 minutes."

Perplexed, Ron asked, "did she tell you she would call at a certain time?"

Hermione glanced at Ron through the mirror in the foyer where she was adjusting her hair. "No, why?"

"So how'd you know she was calling if you didn't look at your phone?"

"I looked at my watch."

"But... Watches tell time. Not who's calling."

Hermione laughed. "Oh! I never showed you, did I? Mum got a new apple watch so she gave me her old one! It syncs up to your phone and you can see who's calling or texting!" While she was explaining she held up her wrist to show Ron the strange looking watch adorning it. It had no numbers or hands, just a plain black face. But when she tapped it, the screen lit up and showed the time in analog form.

Hermione turned to the floo and grabbed the powder. But when she turned to Ron he was simply staring at her.

"What?"

"That's barmy!!!"

"What's barmy Ron?"

"You're telling me, that watch can tell you who's calling on your phone? Next you're going to tell me you can answer on it too!"

"Actually," she said slowly, "I can. Now can we go before Ginny calls again? At least then I'll be able to show you."

"What sorcery is this?!" He muttered as he reached one hand for the floo powder and the other for Hermione. "Muggles have their own sort of magic... King's Cross!"
