god bless birdy's patience tbh if I started a music career at 15 and my (both pretty mid) debut + second album blew up and the (slightly less mid but still mid) 3rd album did pretty good too then I hiatus for ~4.5 years coming back with an album that was so, so much better and more artistically developed than any of that and it didn't have anywhere near the same impact I'd have a joker moment

i was wondering why the lyrics in some of the songs off laurel hell feel so much weaker than they do on previous albums, as well as on the land is inhospitable, and i checked and i was right . its bc other people were writing some of the songs w her and it made the music sound so much less unique and intense...ive talked abt my feelings on laurel hell before tho. and i do love most of the tracks on it . the land is inhospitable just feels so authentic and real and theres a lot more callbacks to previous topics in her older albums, plus you can tell she wrote the songs herself

#the duck quacks#idk if i posted ab it before#but bassicly; mechs au were all the albums survivors band toghether#(aka Lyffrasir Briar Rose and Arthur (Cinders and Deadelus might be added too but im unsure)#(mostly considering in the timeline of this fic. TBI and HNOC happened at the same time. while OUATIS happened 20-100 years ago)#time between UOATIS and the rest mostly depends on what route im taking#since im considering making everyone immortal (Lyf with bifrost BS. Briar doesnt age and is v resistant due to being build as the main#main war machine. Arthur *might* get mechanized eventually)#(i also have DTTM style final deaths for all of them except Briar (not sure if i want her death to mirror he time she spend as sleeping#beauty. or if its like roses death. or if it fits with the additional backstory shes gettinf with the time skip between UOATIS and the#other albums#Lyf has the most concrete death: they find a planet being threathened with a similait event to TBI and they manage to evacuate everyone.#but is the last one left behind and is consumed by the chaos#Arthur flings himself into the sun. the details aren't clear yet but i want that point)#anyways the fic is actually all of them slowly becoming a crew and traveling toghether (fhe deaths were just a drabble thing for today)#ive already written some of the fic and the current plot is#Lyf flees the bifrost while Arthur is send out of the lifepod > Lyf eventualyl (after a month or so) finds Arthur and brings him in >#they travel around toghether for a bit until they find Briar* (ill explain more ab her later) > she joins the crew aswell > bonding bonding#>the crew finds the mechanisms (either because they saw a concert for them on accidrnt. bc arthur is very wounded and they could save him#or a combo) > im not sure yet i didnt plan that far#*also for briar rose: her idea for leavijg is either that she actually stayed witb Cinders for a while. but she doesnt reallt age and#cinders succumbs to old age. so she doesnt really have a reason to stay anymore#or cinders and Briar break apart due to confusing feelings regarding shes sthe clons of the wife that died in cinders arms#OR Cinders and briar are still toghether. but after king coles war they dont really have anything to stay for anymorw consedring almost#everyone they cared ab is dead#(this will also make the timeskip between arcs change depending on which route i take)#so yeah#there is a fic for this in the works but im unsure abott posting jt (ifs more a for fun project than a quality project)#i might eventually make a tag for this and post more i dunno#i have lots of additional plotbits i didnt get into (me giving the entire crew alien traits. the crews relations to the Mechs etc etc)

#where svt (mostly jihoon) has been wanting to work with her and she has been wanting to work with them too (cause theyre great and also#cause she has a crush on wonwoo. not knowing wonwoo also developed a crush on the producer jihoon wont stop talking about. cause he gave#your music a listen and he was like ‘damn… this some good shit’ and understood why the other guys love your work but also became interested#in you bc youre pretty and talented and exude powerful energy duh! so he got immersed into watching your content. from mvs to interviews to#your little producing workshops where he became fond of the way your eyes glistened while talking aboit music. and then one day they have a#comeback and the company tells them that they got in contact with a huge foreign producer that been wanting to work with them so they are#like??? and they are told that the producer would arrive in a couple of hours while the recording interns get the studio ready to fir her#workflow. wonwoo notices the set up is similar to one you had shown in one of your ‘a day in the stufio’ vlogs but he brushed it off bc you#did mention it’s sort of the standard at your record label. so after a couple of hours they sll sit at the recording studio waiting for the#new dude they will work with. EXCEPT!!! its not a dude…#as soon as the door opens they are greeted with the woman they had only listened through their earphones and seen through the tv#they are all so starstruck and excited and start greeting you and hollering and asking questions… but wonwoo just sits back because#WHAT THE FUCK??? HOW ARE YOU THIS GORGEOUS IN PERSON??? he was in shock at how angelical and ethereal you actually were#he doesn’t snap out of it until he hears the most beautiful voice call out his name. you greet him shyly and he doesn’t miss how your hand#trembled when you shook his matching one… the obvious blush on your face masked behind the weather being hot/cold. but you dont show the#fact that you both felt a spark as your hands joined… then you all get to talking about how the album is gonna go and how you#want to give them absolute creative liberty as you are not there to lead but to work together with them. conversations flow until jeonghan#asks where youll be staying for the whole 3 months… to which you reply that you have been looking for a hotel/airbnb but they are all#unavailable bc of the season. so mingyu being the sweetheart and oblivious baby he is…. offers you the spare room in his and wonwoos house#to which the boys all agree and you decline (politely and shyly) at first bc living with wonwoo????? uhhh???#that would mean he would see you with your bed hair and you wete not allowing that!!! but then once wonwoo said it was okay bc they would#love the company (even tho his ass was sweating bc the prettiest girl in the world would be there everyday!!)#you agreed and so that’s how your love story starts (or well… your friendship that then will bloom into the relationship in ‘no biting’#TADA!
