🌸 (wedding finale) for all the drama and mishaps associated with them in fiction, weddings are supposed to be a happy affair. so closing a story with a wedding is common — it's a fun celebration for the characters who have suffered through the show's twists. and since they do, it ties up the romance arc for the official couple and promises a new life chapter for the newlyweds.
🌸 (they do) the conclusion of a romance arc with a happy ending. the point where we are finally done with breakups, misunderstandings, and second thoughts. if the story is done with them, they live happily ever after. if it isn't, when the rest of it happens to them, they'll have each other.

[Image ID: six gifs of 9-1-1 episodes 6.09, "Red Flags" and 5.10, "Wrapped In Red." In 6.09, Hen and Eddie are having a conversation in the loft, and in 5.10, Christopher and Eddie are having an argument.:
GIF 1: Hen shaking her head sadly as she confides in Eddie, "I just wihs I knew where this was coming from."
GIF 2: Eddie looking at Christopher, bewildered as he tries to keep his voice calm in face of his son's anger. "Where is this coming from, Chris?"
GIF 3: Eddie looking intently at Hen across the kitchen counter as he gently says, "He almost lost one of his moms."
GIF 4: Christopher yelling at Eddie at the peak of their argument, "You could be DEAD next year!"
GIF 5: Hen nodding as Eddie says, "It's only natural that'd get him to think about the mother he doesn't know." She still looks pensive, but Eddie's words are sinking in.
GIF 6: Eddie freezing where he's picking up pieces of gingerbread, before slowly turning his gaze up to Chris, quietly devastated.
