Jokinen also runs @hellooks, which is focused on the street fashion of Helsinki (Jokinen grew up in Finland). Jokinen doesn’t necessarily have a uniform for the job. She has a blonde choppy bowl cut and prefers Japanese designers like Comme des Garçons and Issey Miyake. “I like androgynous looks,” she says. That said, you wouldn’t be hard-pressed to see her in a ruffle-trim dress and an XXL bonnet, or a vintage prairie-style dress with a crocheted vest and knit hat shaped like a mushroom. Her footwear of choice, especially during fashion week, are humble Crocs—but rainbow and with a hulking platform. “I noticed that they were super handy, because you never know what’s outside in the streets of New York. So I didn’t need to care where [I stepped].”
