Was looking for the last letter I needed while my work files imported, and I got to this part written by Mabel about when the Stans meet up right before their big fight. I know she's probably just repeating what was told to her about the situation in hindsight, but I also love imaging a scenario where she asked Ford 'Why didn't you just destroy the portal then instead of trying to hide the journals?' and he just goes dead silent for a little bit.

Anyways...
I have Holly's information already thought of now, I just need to think about the others...
For Sarah Songbird, She's locked up in a random unknown place. Nononono, she was banished there.
Holly was already explained (She accidently got in a fight, lost, cuphead helped her up and offered her a soul contract. She excepted).
Now the others... I still thinking. If I have any ideas I'll write it here first. But for now, I gotta think!
OH, OHOHOHOH! Alice joined because Holly did.
So, came up with this, Cala, Bendy and Boris.
So they were asked for by Mugman. Before Mugman's offer while signing a soul contract to Mr. Cuphead, He had asked for them to live there. Mr. Cuphead Hesitated but still excepted. They were brought to the mansion and were offered a soul contract (The king is just giving soul contracts to everyone-). Bendy was cautious but excepted after reading the contract. They were given a room, power and control over their forms, Immortality, and most of all, Money and a job.
Oh! And Felix had to be there too! He still don't have trust. But he leaned to get used to it or get punched or killed by Mr. Cuphead.
Demitasse and Cannikin was a friend of Mr. Cuphead's so they were offered a contract that gave them money and a better home. Also, yes, Cannikin is a ghost. He was given a Living form, but he sticks around as a ghost.
Oh and Holly was able to control her Cog form. She's what I call, Ink-Tied. It's something I came up with.
It means you have had some true contract and control from one of the ink machine parts.
OH, and the Questers (also including Holly, Alice, and Cala) have an ink machine rune on them.
Mr. Cuphead: on the inside of his jacket.
Mugman: on his scarf
Bendy: on his tail
Boris: on his ear
Felix: on his hat
Holly: tattooed on her neck
Alice: on her dress
Cala: on one of Paul's tentacles
Bendy, Boris, Holly, Mugman and Mr. Cuphead are the only ones that are actually Ink-Tied.
Finally I was able to think! That's all I have! Hope you enjoy this very random information of how everyone ended up living with or working for Mr. Cuphead.
