You and Luke had known each other since your second year at UMich. You were a year older, double-majoring in social media marketing and statistics. You were lucky enough to work with the UMich hockey team as a social media manager where you basically spent your time as a babysitter– trying to get the attention of child-like boys to do silly tiktoks and answer questions. It was probably your favorite past-time and you wouldn’t change it for the world.
You and Luke had met each other at some party during the summer, marking the beginning of the semester and Luke had approached you. You were in a random corner of the house and he made a joke about you looked like you had a fuck you sign on your forehead.
Sooner or later, you found out that he was on the hockey team and you guys quickly created a bond. You loved to pick on Luke whenever you had the chance, just because he would turn so flustered and red whenever you asked him a question– whether it was unserious or not.
A year or so passed and you graduated two semesters early while Luke went off to play for the Devils with his brother. You guys never stopped talking– relying on your phone calls and facetimes to keep your friendship going. You always looked forward to when Luke would call you randomly throughout the day and you would always answer, even if you were busy studying for midterms or exams.
Now, Luke was on his way to pick you up from the airport. You hadn’t told him that you were actually moving here. All you told him was that you wanted to come visit and he paid for your ticket and invited you to stay in his apartment with him and Jack (you turned him down, he was really upset about it).
You stood impatiently at the pick-up area, waiting for Luke’s jeep to come round the corner. As you looked up from your phone, you saw Luke’s car swing around the corner and stop in front of you. You felt your excitement as he stepped out of his car and came running to give you a hug.
“Holy shit, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you in person,” Luke said, wrapping his arms around you.
“I know, Lukey,” you replied back. “I’m so sick of seeing your face through the screen.”
He held the two of you guys in an embrace until the car behind him started honking his horn. The two of you rushed to the car and Luke shoved all your suitcases in.
“Why did you bring so much luggage?” Luke asked, getting into the driver’s seat.
“I’m just a girl,” you said shrugging. “Plus, I just have a few things to do while I’m here,” you continued.
“What things?”
“You know, just some media shoots and whatever,” you said absentmindedly. “I have a few opportunities in the New York area.”
“That’s big, y/n. Why didn’t you tell me anything?”
“I didn’t want to make it a big deal until it was actually set in cement,” you said, shrugging.
You could feel the urge to just tell Luke the truth, but Jack had convinced you that this would be the biggest surprise ever. So, for now, you were going to keep it a surprise from him.
Luke dropped begrudgingly dropped off at your apartment– he had spent the whole drive trying to convince you to stay with him and Jack instead. You almost caved, but you continued to tell the pleading boy that you were only a street down from his own apartment and that you would come later on in the day.
- - -
It was currently four in the afternoon and you felt your nerves as you fiddled around with your camera settings. It was your first day working with the Devils and your first job out of college. You were called to come at five to photograph the guys during prior to their arrival to the arena. Chugging down the rest of your energy drink, you headed down to catch your Uber to the arena. You would be photographing their arrival.
Luke had invited you to watch tonight’s game– he got you tickets and everything, and you had to decline, telling him that you made plans for tonight.
Was he upset? Yes. Did he try to convince you with his puppy eyes to watch? Yes.
You called Jack right away after that conversation with Luke and he told you to just hold it in until tonight because apparently Jack has something to surprise him.
Arriving at the arena, you took your place at the entry way to the team room and you adjusted your camera settings, making sure that your camera was well suited for the lighting in the room. You felt your phone buzz in your pocket and you quickly went to look at it.
── ★
lukey boy: Heading to the arena rn… are you sure you can’t make it :(
you: sorry lukey… i’ll be there for the next one, promise
lukey boy: You better be. Still down for dinner tonight?
you: ermm… we might have to raincheck
lukey boy: :////////
you: have a good game, lukey. will be watching!!!
── ★
You tossed your phone back into your pocket, getting ready for the arrival of the boys. The first wave of boys came in, smiling as they made time to introduce themselves to you.
“Y/n?” Nico asked, coming to shake your hand.
“That’s kind of freaky you know my name,” you said, shooting him a weird look.
“Luke doesn’t shut up about you,” Nico said, shrugging. “He also didn’t tell me that you would be working with us this season,” he continued, shooting me a look.
“He doesn’t know,” you said, nonchalantly. “Jack is the only one who knows.”
“Well, that’s exciting. Nice to finally meet you.”
You shot the man a smile as you continued to photograph the trickling players coming down the hall.
Soon enough, you saw Jack come through the doors and shot me a smile, grabbing me a good picture for all the Jack girlies.
“He got caught up in an interview, but he should be coming in like two minutes,” Jack said, coming to give me a hug.
“Hey, Jacky,” you said, giving him a wide smile.
“I can’t believe you’re actually here,” Jack said, “I really though you finally being here would lessen Luke’s yapping, but somehow it has increased and I didn’t know that was possible.”
“What do you mean?” You asked, cocking your head.
“Nothing,” Jack said, coughing nervously.
Your eyes peered to the door that had just opened.
“Jack get the fuck out of my way,” you muttered, pointing the camera at the door.
You saw Luke coming down the hallway, his face glued to his phone.
Jack mumbled under his breath before calling Luke’s name.
Your camera caught Luke’s expression change from confusion to pure happiness as he spotted you and his face lit up.
“Y/n?” Luke asked, coming towards you with a wide smile.
“Hey, Lukey.”
“You’re telling me that your new media job is working with us?” Luke said, excitement engulfing his face.
“You’re stuck with me and my stupid questions for a bit longer, Luke,” you said, laughing.
“You’re gonna be watching?”
“Yeah,” you said, lifting your camera. “Taking cool pics like before, too.”
“I can’t believe you’re here,” Luke said, giving you a quick hug before hitting his brother.
“You knew and you didn’t tell me?” He said to Jack.
Jack shrugged as he shot me a smile. “I told her not to tell you.”
“Wait does that mean, you’re moving here permanently?” Luke asked, his excitement now running rampant.
You gave him a nod before he literally started trembling with excitement.
“Okay calm down, Lukey,” you said, laughing. “You got a game to win.”
Luke smiled at you once more before making his way into the player’s room.
“He’s going to have a hell of a game,” Jack said to you.
“Hm??”
“He’s going to have a hell of a game because you’re here,” Jack said once more.
“He better or else I might take up the Islanders offer instead,” you said, jokingly.
“Shut up, y/n,” Jack said, lightly pushing you. “I’m so glad you’re here. Luke hasn’t shut up ever since he bought your ticket four months ago. He’s glad that his favorite girl is finally here to watch him.”
“Favorite girl is pushing it,” you told the older Hughes, giving him a look of confusion.
“You really don’t know, huh?” Jack asked.
“Spit it out, idiot,” You said, looking down at your phone to check the time. “Your time is running low.”
“You’re telling me, idiot. Michigan to Jersey, huh? Just know, he hasn’t shut up about you since that first night in Michigan,” Jack said shrugging as he walked off, giving you a smile.
That first night in Michigan.
Luke’s first night at the University of Michigan. The first time Luke met you.
You shrugged off the funny feeling you felt before uploading the pictures from your camera to your phone. Scrolling through the pictures, you picked around five guys to post on the Instagram. You posted the pictures and updated the story before scrolling through the comments.

You laughed as you read some of the comments of the post. Walking past the player’s room, you were stopped as you heard commotion behind you.
“Y/n.”
You turned around to see Luke coming out of the room with his tuxedo jacket already off. You shot him a confused look.
“Luke?”
“Am I not gonna get a good luck?”
“I already texted you good luck, dummy,” you said, crossing your hands over your chest.
“It’s not the same,” he said, giving you the famous Hughes pout.
“Good luck, Luke,” I’ll see you tomorrow.
“Tomorrow?” Luke asked, pouting once more. “We’re not getting dinner?”
“Luke you act like you aren’t going to come to my apartment tomorrow morning for breakfast. Uninvited by the way. I have things to do tonight. I’m just here until the first period so put on a show for me, okay.”
“Okay, but you’re literally my best friend,” Luke said, whining. “I haven’t seen you in person for almost six months and I’ve barely seen you even when you’re here. It’s not fair.”
“Clingy ass,” you muttered before waving at the boy. “I’ll see you tomorrow morning.”
“I can’t believe you’re not staying,” Luke said, pouting as you walked away.
“Luke,” you yelled exasperatedly.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, sweets.”
“Shut up.”

I know that it may not seem super realistic that the queen just accepts Wilhelm's decision at the end of ep 6. But honestly, I think Kristina had always known that Wilhelm was going to do this.
He said almost exactly the same thing in E1S2 to both her and the court:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, in this scene he's angry and upset. But the fact that he's being an angry teen about it doesn't necessarily make his words untrue. Even before he's CP, Wilhelm begins the story at odds with his roles and the expectations it put on him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She recognises, of course, that he's being an overdramatic teen. She was probably a bit more dismissive of these comments before Erik died. But after everything that happened, I don't think Kristina has that luxury. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knows that Wilhelm is hanging on by a thread. I think this is why she tries to change the dynamic with him in season 2 and tries to negotiate with him. We can probably also see that reflected through Farima in S3, who's taken over as the person who tries to both appease and direct Wilhelm.
But in the car scene, Wilhelm no longer seems like an emotional teenager, being carried away by his emotions. This is Wilhelm growing up.
Kristina sees this too, sees that this isn' t the tantrum of an angry teen, but the realization of a young man who knows who he is and what he wants.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We're seeing her accept something that she's known, instinctively, was going to happen from the second Wilhelm became the Crown Prince. What can she do but let him go? As neglectful and unfair of a parent as she may be, I do genuinely believe she loves him. Closing that door would have meant losing him forever.

I've been thinking about this a lot after reading your works since he's a captor in most of your original works--
What do you think about Aventurine with a Darling that has a Stockholm Syndrome? Will he be more thrilled or will he got a little disappointed at the adrenaline lost? The chances of this occurrence is really low too, but he'll start to digest that his darling tend to lean more to his touches. Less fights and such, or maybe she starts to question him more if he went out for an extended amount of period, "Where were you last week?"
She starts to understand that maybe he's right, he loves her and being locked up inside his house is for the best. I mean, Darling's entertainment would probably be books at most, and seeing him starts to be the highlight of the day. He did treat her well, didn't he? There's no proof that Aventurine is doing any harm to her!
The lines are starting to get fuzzy and blurred for her and she unconsciously wait for him to play more games with her, or simply have a dinner with him. He'll finally notice that he has his most loved ones waiting for him back at home.
Also this would count as my second request/asks so feel free to ignore too!!
Aaaa I’m so glad to see you in my inbox again! You’re welcome to send anything any time! ✨ I really love to hear from you and do your requests!
Warnings: Fem reader, Noncon themes, noncon touching and kissing, kidnapping, stockholm syndrome back to noncon, mentions of manipulation from reader but it's just Aventurine being like "what if she's just doing this so I give her what she wants" and not actually, reader is baby, and mentions of her having a loving family (in case that's upsetting for anyone)
Tumblr media
You may be a bird trapped in a cage, but that wouldn’t stop you from trying to fly in the cramped space that you do have.
You find that after being caged for an extended period of time, even the most wild of animals will yearn for the artificial light provided by its captor. It may not compare to the light of the sun itself, but there is a strange sort of comfort to find in it nevertheless. You will find yourself admiring the ceiling painted blue with clouds like the sky, and before you know it, you forget there was ever a difference between your artificial reality and the real outside world itself.
The indoor garden becomes as real to you as actually walking among the trees. And it isn’t long before Aventurine’s affection for you is treated the same way. Yes, this may be an artificial love, a mockery of a real connection between lovers, one that he forced, but it becomes as real to you as that mural on the ceiling he crafted to comfort you.
In the beginning, he thinks when you return his hugs and kisses when he gets home, that you must want something from him and you’re doing it just to manipulate him and get what you want out of him.
He thinks you’re lying when you tell him that you missed him while he was gone.
But he decided he doesn’t care, because any amount of affection he receives is worth the price of whatever you wanted in return.
Aventurine moves to strip you of your clothes after another long and hard day at work, and for the first time, you don’t push him away or fight him.
For the first time, you kiss him back just as fiercely as his tongue tangles with yours, fighting his for dominance as if you could ever truly overpower him.
You don’t cry when he removes your panties and shoves his fingers between your slit, swirling them around and getting them coated with your wetness. Aventurine finds himself smirking with satisfaction at how wet you already are. Normally, he has to force it out of you, rub at your clit until you’re screaming and squirming in his hold, fighting him like your life depends on it.
It always ends the same way. Before long, you’re dripping and wet and needy for him, no matter how much of a fight you put up.
But this time your body has responded to him of your own free will, from just a little bit of kissing.
As if you were waiting for this moment all day.
“You finally gave in, didn’t you?” He asks in total disbelief, breathing a sigh of relief as he frees himself from his pants. His heart feels warm and fuzzy at the realization.
You nod slowly, “I… I think I’m in love with you.” And he sees no dishonesty in your eyes or expression, you’re telling him the truth.
And his heart soars. You can finally act like real lovers together. No more fighting, no more tears, just true love and pure pleasure together.
Aventurine pulls you so close, so your body is pressed right up against his.
He’s over the moon, he’s so overjoyed he feels like he’s going to explode, he can’t contain the pure happiness this has brought him. It feels like you’ve been presented to him like a little present wrapped up in bows.
For weeks, he’s showering you with all the affection he had to force on you before. Completely unrestrained, the two of you don’t spend a second apart, and go at it like bunnies. And you gladly accept it, you lean into his touch and whimper and pant and moan for him like a good girl, and you even agree that being locked inside is the best thing for you and for him.
And then as months go on, the willing submission slowly loses a bit of its spark.
He still loves you, of course. He would never stop loving you. He loves you with all his heart and soul, more than anything and anyone. He’s so happy that you’re finally returning his feelings and affection without a fight, but… He starts to realize that some part of him enjoyed the way you would fight back, the way you would kick and scream and fight him and try to get away during sex.
It feels like his heart and his dick are at war, because while his heart is so happy that you love him back, or at least as much as you can in this situation, his dick unfortunately… craves to feel you fighting against him. He realizes it’s a desire born from pure physical arousal, an almost animalistic instinct, and that’s all it is.
But he wants it. He craves it. So, so badly.
So he tries to ignite the fight in you again, the flame of rebellion. He grows bolder and more touchy with you, he doesn’t even greet you before he’s ripping off your clothes when he gets home. Anything to try to get you to react negatively. But much to his surprise, you giggle and return his affection tenfold.
The gears are clicking in his head as he formulates a plan so he can have that game of chase, to play predator and prey with you once again.
Aventurine leans in so close, so close that his lips brush against your ear as he speaks,
“The doors are all unlocked.
Let’s play a game, if you can escape the house before I catch you, I’ll let you go~”
As if that wasn’t enough, he slips in your hands a picture of your family. And not just one of the ones you brought here with you, this is a current picture. Of what they look like today, that you had no idea about. The people you love so much that you haven’t seen in years, who probably all thought you were dead.
“And since I’m feeling nice, I’ll give you a ten second head start.” And that’s all it takes to revive the fight in you. You’re ripping yourself out of his arms, you’re bolting for the door, you’re crying hysterically as you run through the giant maze he’s trapped you in.
For the first time in so long your loving home looks like the prison it truly is once again.
Your loving boyfriend is twisted back into the image of a monster keeping you trapped here.
And Aventurine laughs and feels the adrenaline coursing through his veins at your reaction.
Aventurine feels his dick throb at the sound of terror that rips out of you.
There it is.
“Ten…”
Dancing in those beautiful eyes of his is the sadistic glee of a predator, as he watches you run for your life and your freedom.
“Nine… Eight… Seven….”
All of your hopes and dreams are hinging on this, the merciful head start he gave you.
“Six… Five… Four…”
And he can’t wait to dash those hopes and rip them away from you all over again.
“Three… Two…”
He can’t wait to pounce on you and feel you fight underneath him once more, to feel your fear spark pleasure down his spine.
“One~”
The chase has only just begun.

girl dad aaron AMUSEMENT PARK EDITION!!!!!!!
he would spend all his money at the ring toss just to get his girl the prize she wants. he would hold her hand on the swings. he would give into her begging to go on the big drop ride. he would ride in her bumper car, whispering, “c’mon. let’s bump into mommy. it’ll be funny.” he would make sure to smear her in sunscreen. he would let her wear his sunglasses. he would buy her dippin dots and funnel cakes and cotton candy. he would carry her on his shoulders. he would get wet on the water rides with her. he would guarantee they get to sit in the back or front carts (it’s only appropriate to sit in the front on some rides. other rides, it’s only appropriate to sit in the back. he would know which ride requires the back seat and which requires the front because he’s asked around because he wants his girl to have the best experience on the rollercoasters she can.) he would pack so much water to make sure everyone stays hydrated (he’s also got a fanny pack. i don’t make the rules.) he would pose for the cameras with her on the rides (silly faces, bunny ears, kissing her cheek, etc.) and he would obviously buy them and hang them on the fridge until the entire fridge is covered in them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aw aw awwww are you trying to make me cry?????? 😭💞💞💞
baby girl's his ride buddy of the day 🥹🥹🥹 it works out perfectly too. i feel like aaron's not too keen on rides - he gets nauseous easily and can only take so much 😭 whereas you're still okay - so you'll go on the more extreme rides with jack. as the two of you are doing that, aaron's on the more tame rides with baby girl, or standing on the sidelines with her in his arms, pointing out you and jack on the ride 🥰 and for the kiddie rides that don't fit an adult, jack happily goes on those with her hehe <3333 best big brother
aaron's hand is always in hers, she's in his arms, or in a stroller, just always accounted for. he's terrified she'll somehow wander away (although she knows not to) or he knows how easily someone could come swoop her up and take her far away (mosley lane 😭😭😭😭) and STOP the visual of her on his shoulders, in his sunglasses that are far too big for her, gripping onto his hair or his head as she chatters away - pointing out what she sees, what rides she wants to go on, what snacks smell yummy, or simply talking about anything <3333 sobbing
when it comes to the prizes, aaron's definitely paying way more than what that item probably cost to make, and knows it's 'lowkey' a waste of money 😭 but there's no price when it comes to baby girl's happiness, he'll do whatever it takes 🥰 the smile that forms on her face when she finally gets the plushie she wanted??? priceless and it's a memory they'll both hold onto forever - aaron takes full advantage of those type of memories 🥺
the bumper cars!!!!!!!!!!! the true highlight of the day 😭 aaron's with baby girl, you're with jack. hehe you peer over as aaron's sneakily whispering to her and eyeing the two of you👀, you know what he's scheming and tell jack the very same thing 🤭 "we gotta get dad and your sister". the laughs that erupt from both of them as they bump into each other 😭😭😭😭 it's contagious, you and aaron are equally as giddy and are loving every second of it 🥰 they even both insist on riding multiple times just to crash into each other LOL
and omg aaron's prepared and stacked for every scenario possible. extra clothes, shoes, socks are in the car (for each family member) for after the water rides. he packs dramamine, ibruprofen, bug spray. he also strategically plans out when to eat snacks or food - to prevent upset stomachs after eating and going on rides 🥴 he brings a tonnn of sunscreen and applies frequently. omg the four of you are pulled off to the side, drinking water and taking a break - you unscrew the top of a water bottle for jack, simply turn your head, and are met with aaron's hands on your face - applying sunscreen generously for you too 😭😭😭🫶🏻 he also brought hats for extra coverage - jack has a baseball cap, baby girl has a cute lil bucket hat 🥰
and AWWW the pictures 🥹🥹🥹 aaron's sure to get multiples too - one for the fridge, for baby girl's room (a pic of them on her bedside table 😭😭😭😭 especially useful when she misses him when he's gone on a case and she just wants her daddy🥺) and his office 😭<3333
as the four of you leave the amusement park when night falls, baby girl is absolutely zonked 😭 her face is smushed into aaron's neck, arms around his neck, maybe even drooling a bit, completely out. hehe so aaron veryyyy carefully places her into her carseat as to not wake her up 🥹 ugh she had the best day <333

hi hello 😓
Have you ever thought about writing a scene where reader and gojo were kissing and megumi and tsumiki saw 🙊
right after kitchen scene, you know the kids were creeping down to your room together—just to check, alright? did gojo come home? did you make up? are they going to have to go live with nanami?
but, to both their surprise, no one is there. your room is empty, bedsheets thrown across the mattress.
so, okay. they close the door, going down to gojo’s room to check. but it’s the same, socks thrown across the floor, a collection of mugs on the bedside table.
“maybe they’re already up?” tsumiki whispers even though there’s no one sleeping.
megumi shrugs but makes his way down the hall, peeking around the corner like someone is going to scold him if he’s caught.
still, there’s no one in the living room. his shoulders slouch and tsumiki looks over him, her hair getting in his eyes.
“do you think they went somewhere?”
megumi gives her a look.
“what if gojo got hurt and mom had to go to the hospital or something?”
“and leave us here?”
“maybe she got kidnapped…”
megumi rolls his eyes, clearing his throat. still, there’s a couple of rooms left to check. he continues to walk through the house, clearly less concerned than tsumiki,
it is a bit weird though. especially because you were upset last night, and put them both to bed with a storm in your eyes.
whatever.
megumi walks through the kitchen door and his life is immediately ruined.
you’re standing against the counter, head tilted up as gojo mauls your face, your hands in his hair, his on your waist—
for maybe the first time in his life, he gasps, and steps back, into taumiki, before hurrying to turn around and keep her from whatever that is—
“oh, hey guys,” you say, awkwardly, coughing. megumi didn’t get to see you push gojo away, but he’s rubbing his arm and frowning when the boy turns back around.
megumi just stares.
tsumiki peeks over his shoulder. “what are you doing?”
gojo coughs, fixing his hair. it does nothing to help. “just talking, miki.” his smile is morose.
megumi just can’t look away. why did he have to walk in first? why did gojo have to abduct him? why did he have to be born in the first place?
“what?” tsumiki asks him, going to stand by his side. “what’s wrong?”
but megumi doesn’t answer.
“he’s probably just sleep walking,” gojo says, walking over to tsumiki so he can kiss her cheek very loudly and ruffle megumi’s hair.
he pushes the man as far away from him as possible. and to everyone’s surprise, gojo doesn’t even whine about it.
you clear your throat again, stepping away from the counter. megumi can’t even look at you right now.
“did you guys brush your teeth yet?” you ask, voice completely wrong.
“no,” megumi answers, so quickly its not even a word, and then he turns around and practically runs out of the kitchen, grabbing tsumiki’s arm so he can drag her along.
but he can’t make it far enough before there’s a hiss from behind him—
“you didn’t feel them coming?”
“i was a little bit distracted, you know, and—“
oh god. now megumi’s going to have to watch his parents kiss too.
is living with nanami still an option?

Your best friend drags you along for a night out which leads to an unexpected encounter with a boy you're not very fond of, Riki. The evening ends with him being knuckles deep in you, in your car.
You stop in your tracks in the middle of the street, "What do you mean Riki's there?"
The evening breeze feels cool against your skin as you're on your way to a restaurant with your best friend, the two of you had made plans to meet her boyfriend and another mutual friend.
"I didn't want to tell you cause I knew you wouldn't comeee," Your friend whines, pulling at your arm to drag your body along, "It won't take long. We'll just grab a bite and then leave, okay?"
You stare at her more shocked than upset as you let her pull you into the restaurant and out of the cold night's air. She was right.. If you knew Nishimura Riki was going to be there, you probably wouldn't have agreed on going out with them. On a good day, you and Riki would get by with a small argument. The both of you can barely get along when together, the clash of your personalities being a perfect match made in hell.
"Over here!" You hear Jake's familiar voice call, causing both of your gazes to shoot in his direction when you step through the door. Your friend smiles excitedly, and hurries over to greet him.
Unlike her, you stand still in your spot, your gaze shifts to the boy sat next to Jake in the booth. His dark hair's styled perfectly, a familiar leather jacket hugs his shoulders just right. His eyes are focused on his phone, so he doesn't notice when you take a seat directly in front of him moments later. Your friend waits for you to sit before she takes a seat beside you.
"Hi Riki," She smiles, his gaze shifts off his phone to look up at her, he nods, and then settles his eyes upon you.
He suddenly doesn't seem too amused anymore, "Why's she here,"
"Hello to you too," You mumble under your breath, slightly annoyed. You look down at the table to avoid his gaze, suddenly feeling one of your feet being kicked underneath the table. Though, in a playful manner.
Was that him?
"Can we all please just get along for an hour," Jake sighs, a small, hopeful smile plays on his lips as he tries to plead with mostly his friend that's sat beside him. Riki scoffs.
"I told you this was a bad idea, babe," Your friend adds, eyeing her boyfriend.
The two exchange looks of uncertainty, causing you to let out a sigh at the table. You stand up, gathering your bag and phone, already fed up with Riki's attitude after only a couple of minutes.
You look at your friend, waiting for her to move out of the way so you can squeeze out the booth. You speak hurriedly, "Jake can drop you off, right? I'll just head off now,"
"We've already ordered your food," Riki speaks from across the table, you watch him with your eyebrows furrowed. Gaze piercing, his eyes move from your face to the plush seat you just pulled yourself off, "Sit."
With a huff, you do as he says, not wanting to bicker on further. Riki picks up his phone, you eye him cautiously as yours vibrates moments later. Surely that wasn't him you think as your eyes stay locked onto his. Though, the menacing smirk that's playing on his face is giving you reason to believe otherwise.
You pick up your device, your breath almost getting caught in the back of your throat as you briefly scan over the text you've just received... From no other than the smug boy who's currently scanning your face for your reaction.
Tumblr media
"Oh fuck off," You mutter unamused, immediately placing your phone face down onto the table. The couple's eyes are now back on you, wondering what just happened.
"My brother texted asking for money," You smile awkwardly, they nod obliviously and get back to their conversation.
...
"You'll be fine," Your friend smiles, patting you on your head. You're left standing there in the dark, completely and utterly dumbfounded.
How could they do this to me?
"You're a bitch," You half-joke as you watch her get into Jake's car, a grin plastered across her pretty face as she waves you bye. The tall figure beside you also watches their car drive away, he's just as quiet as you are. You don't know how to break the silence.
You actually spent most of the evening in silence, trying not to make eye contact with Riki after he had sent that unhinged text to you. It was hard, though, boy was it hard to not look at him. Especially when all you had in your brain were images of him fucking you in that same leather jacket the previous week.
To make matters worse, your friend decided she wanted Jake to stay the night at her house. Maybe she did it on purpose? But surely she couldn't have known about the nights you've spent with Riki; no one knows... Except the boy who suddenly decides to break the silence with his deep voice.
"Do you want me to drive?" He pulls you out of your thoughs, the both of you still not looking at one another.
"You can fucking walk home," You sneer in reply, turning to walk towards your car. You hear footsteps following behind you shortly after.
The drive to his dorm is silent, no music is listened to, no words are exchanged. The silence between the both of you is so incredibly loud, your thoughts run wild as you notice him looking over at you from the passenger seat. All you can think about in this current moment is how things never end well when the two of you are left alone, especially during the night. You suddenly start wishing you knew you were going to be seeing him this evening, maybe you would have put in a little more effort into getting ready. You'd never want him to know that, though. After all, you hated him, and he hated you. Who cared. Definitely not you... Right?
You stop your car in a parking lot across the street from his building, more silence ensues. You can't help but feel a little breathless knowing how close Riki currently is to your presence.
Please leave quickly
"I can't stand being in public with you," He speaks, his voice is hushed. His eyes are focused on you, but you continue looking straight ahead over the steering wheel.
"I'm glad the feeling is mutual, passenger princess,"
"Because I can't fucking control myself around you, Y/n, "
You shift your gaze to look at him briefly after his sudden statement, a feeling of dizziness washes over your body as you look back over the wheel immediately. You hope he climbs out of your car soon. Very soon.
An enticing chuckle escapes Riki's lips when he notices your thighs shifting in their place, he watches your face as you try to steady your heart rate. After a few short, silent moments, he reaches his arm closest to you out, his hand hiking your skirt up your thighs.
"What- What are you doing?" Your voice is breathless, the feeling of his touch against your thighs igniting something feral within you.
His hand finds its way past the hem of your panties, his cold fingertips settling upon your soaked core. He can't stop smirking to himself over just how wet you are for him. You squirm in your seat, the unexpected and sudden touch causing your stomach to drop.
"I'm doing you a favour," He replies unruffled, as if fingering you in a dark parking lot was a completely normal thing for him to do on a random weekday.
Your hands grip onto the steering wheel as you try to steady yourself, your abdomen tilting automatically to give him more access. You scan his face, the sight of him intently focusing on his work under the fabric of your panties alone seems like it's enough to send you over the edge. His eyebrows come together as he continues fixating on getting you off.
Your hips work alongside his fingers' movements between your folds, your grinding against his touch becoming faster and harder as the seconds tick by. Your gaze drops to his lap, a hushed moan falls out of your lips at the sight of his free hand moving about the inside of his pants.
Am I in heaven?
You chant his name quietly, over and over, signifying that you're about to cross the finish line. Riki takes your trembling as a hint to keep his motions against your clit steady and unchanged.
"Fuck, Y/n," He groans, his fingers now pumping into you rapidly, "Cum for me,"
Your body continues to make involuntarily movements against his digits as you create a mess all over his hand, and your poor car seat. You yourself are a panting mess, somehow even too embarrassed to look over at his face. He's seen you in much less clothing before, but something about having Riki watch you be so insanely needy for him and his fingers left you a little humiliated. He keeps his hand in place, rubbing comforting circles against your sensitive skin.
"I still- god, fuck, I sill hate you," You try to regain your breath, stammering over your words as you watch Riki take his fingers into his mouth, licking them clean from the mess that you left behind on them.
Fuck
"This changes nothing," He smiles, referring to the agreement between the two of you.
You watch the tall boy leave the vehicle without another word. Little do you know that he's hurrying off to his dorm, in desperate need to finish off the job awaiting him within his pants.

Dynamight's type
Izuku has noticed that whenever someone asks Katsuki's certain questions during interviews he gets really irritated; it's usually things about love and relationships that bother him the most.
It's one of the many reasons why Izuku hasn't told his best friend he likes him romantically; maybe Katsuki is not interested in romance at all or he just hates sharing his love life with the world.
Although it's not like Izuku ever thought he had a chance; he probably doesn't. Sometimes he thinks about looking for someone to start a relationship with.
"Let's move in together," Katsuki tells him for the... actually, Izuku has lost count of how many times he has told him that.
But Izuku always thinks he doesn't mean it because it doesn't make sense.
"Why?"
"Just because..." Katsuki says this time, looking particularly frustrated.
"We don't have the need to," Izuku points out, getting a little bit confused by his friend's response.
"I know."
"Kacchan... what if one of us starts dating soon? Wouldn't that be–"
The look Katsuki throws at him is enough to make Izuku shut up immediately; the other pro hero not only looks angry, he also seems hurt.
"Are you seeing someone?" The way Katsuki asks the question makes it look like each word is hurting him somehow.
"No, but–"
"I'm not going to start dating an extra!" Katsuki growls and, as usual, he walks away more irritated than when the day started.
Izuku honestly doesn't get it.
However, he usually goes back to normal when his patrol begins.
Until a reporter finds him after an incident; just right the moment after Katsuki and Izuku manage to save a group of people from a villain.
Actually, there are a couple of reporters, one of them even tries to corner Izuku and instead of asking him about the villain or the civilians, she asks Izuku about romance.
Alright, Izuku has started to get why Katsuki gets irritated at those type of questions.
"Are you dating someone at the moment, Deku?" The young woman asks, smiling at him and using one of her fingers to play with her own hair.
Izuku doesn't understand; is she nervous?
"Uhh... no."
"That's great!"
Not that far from him, one of the reporters is asking about Katsuki's type... again.
"So what would your ideal date be, Deku?" The reporter manages to draw Izuku's attention away from his friend.
"Maybe an amusement park? Sharing a crepe?" The green haired hero doesn't mean to make it sound like a question, but interviews always make him feel flustered.
"That'd be a perfect date for me too!" The girl says. "Would you like to–"
"DO YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW MY FUCKING TYPE?" Katsuki's loud voice cuts off the reporter who's interviewing Izuku.
"Of course, Dynamight!" It's a good thing most of the reporters are used to Katsuki's explosive personality already.
Instead of answering right away, Katsuki gets closer to Izuku and to everyone's surprise, grabs the other pro hero's freckled face and kisses him on the lips.
"There. That's my type!" Katsuki growls as Izuku's face turns completely pink. "Him. Only this nerd. Now, fuck off!"
The female reporter who was asking Izuku questions looks particularly upset about what happened, although it seems like she's a little bit reluctant to go... but she does anyway when she notices Katsuki is glaring at her.
Izuku doesn't get his hopes up, because it's obvious that Katsuki only wanted them to stop asking questions about his love life.
"But Kacchan... they're going to think we are–"
"Move in with me."
"Why?"
It feels like this is not the moment to have the same conversation all over again, but there's something different in Katsuki's eyes this time; he looks determined.
"Because I'm in love with you, oblivious nerd!"
Izuku's face is on fire, he's sure of it; Katsuki just told him he loved him. It almost seems like it's a dream.
"Are you sure, Kacchan?" His voice doesn't sound shaky at all, which is something Izuku feels ridiculously proud of.
"Of course I am! Wouldn't be asking you if I wasn't!"
After a heartbeat in which Izuku thinks about all the time they've been together and tells himself this is going to work, he nods.
"Let's move in together, Kacchan."
Just a year later, Katsuki proposes to him and of course, Izuku can't help but tear up. He's never been so happy before.

Worry
Jay Halstead x reader
Summary: When Y/n has an accident with Jay's car, she fears his reaction. However, she is surprised by the real reason for his concern
Tumblr media
Y/n was still thinking about everything that had gone wrong that day. Her head hurt, probably from the cut on her forehead and the bruise that was beginning to form on her cheek. However, the guilt that settled in her body was the worst of all.
It all started when she woke up late for work. Since she was still an intern at the company, Y/n couldn't be late, or her boss would be even more unpleasant than usual. On top of that, she didn't have a car, as she left it at her house and spent the night at Jay's, her boyfriend of five months, who had picked her up from work.
So Jay lent her the car, saying Hailey could give him a ride. Little did she know that this would be the worst decision ever. When she was returning home at the end of the day, she was at an intersection when suddenly a dog ran into the street. As she tried to avoid it, she hit a car coming in the opposite direction.
The impact was enough for her to hit her head on the steering wheel, hence the cut and bruise. She was so scared, her ears were ringing and she only managed to come out of the shock when the driver of the other car got out of his vehicle and started banging on her window, screaming angrily at her.
Y/n's eyes burned with tears that threatened to fall down her cheeks, but the girl tried to stop them from falling. It would just make her more pathetic, she thought. Other drivers saw what had happened and called 911 and told them what had happened. Fortunately, the other vehicle wasn't as damaged as Jay's.
Her injuries were attended to on the spot, something Y/n couldn't have been happier about. So Will, Jay's brother, couldn't see her and call her boyfriend, only scaring him when he was working. They even let her drive home, since the car was drivable and she could decide which workshop to take it to for repairs.
Now, Y/n was sitting on the couch, anxiously waiting for Jay to get home. She had already thought of many ways on how to tell Jay what happened, but none of them calmed her nerves. He was going to be so upset, he lent her the car and she couldn't even be trusted with that.
Finally, she heard the keys open the door and Jay's voice echoed through the house, "Babe, are you here?" he questioned, hoping she had come to his house instead of going to her small apartment.
"In the living room." she said, keeping her gaze on the ground, not having the courage to look her boyfriend in the eyes and reveal to him what had happened to his precious car.
"Hey, baby." Jay smiled when he saw her sitting on the couch.
However, a frown quickly formed on his face when she didn't get up to greet him. Normally she would jump into his arms and kiss every part of his face until finally kissing his lips passionately. It was his favorite part of the day.
Y/n finally looked up at him when she felt him approaching her. Her eyes filled with tears again and her throat tightened when she saw Jay's face change when he noticed his injuries. He immediately got down on his knees in front of her, gently holding her chin so he could move her face and inspect her cut and bruise. She also noticed the way his hands were shaking.
"What the hell happened?" he questioned, feeling his heart tighten. His gaze then hardened, "Who did this to you? I'll kill them."
"Jay, I'm so sorry." Y/n murmured, her eyes filling with even more tears, which made Jay worry even more. What the hell had happened to his girlfriend and who did he have to beat?
"Why are you apologizing? I'm not understanding, baby. Tell me what happened so that I can fix it, yeah?"
"Your car…" the girl sobbed, unable to say a sentence without tears falling down her cheeks. Jay pulled her to his chest, hugging her until she calmed down enough to tell her what had happened. "A dog crossed the road and when I tried to avoid it I hit a car. And you trusted me with your car and I crashed. I'm so sorry, Jay, I really am and—"
"Slow down, Y/n. Breathe." Jay asked, alarmed by how her face was getting redder since she still hadn't stopped to inhale. His thumb stroked her uninjured cheek, hoping it would comfort her.
"No, I'm sorry. The car is still drivable, but it has a dent and is scratched. But I can afford the repair. I just need a few weeks and talk to my boss to pay me in advance, but I swear I'll sort this out. I know you need a car for work but you can use mine and I'll use the bus in the meantime."
"Y/n!" Jay exclaimed so she would finally shut up and listen to him. He cupped her cheeks carefully, forcing her to look directly at him. "Listen to me, you won't pay for anything. I don't care about the car, I care about you. So please calm down and tell me you're not hurt anywhere else. Please."
"I'm okay." she admitted, seeing Jay's body relax a little and he sighed in relief, running a hand over his face. "I'm just a little sore from the impact. The car is worse."
"Stop talking about the damn car or I swear I'll take it to the scrap yard to be destroyed. I can buy another car or live without it, but I can't live without you. God, Y/n when I saw your face all hurt I thought I was going to have a heart attack."
"I'm sorry…"
"No more apologizing." Jay was quick to order, giving her a stern look, but nothing hid the concern and love that was evident in his eyes. "Why didn't you call me? Did you go to the hospital? What did they say?"
"I didn't go to the hospital. The paramedics saw me there and said everything was fine."
Jay didn't answer her, suddenly getting up and going straight to his cell phone. His jaw was clenched and he looked like he was ready to have another mini heart attack.
"Who are you calling? Please don't bother Will just so he can come here and see how I'm doing. I'm fine, I promise."
"Either Will comes here or we go to the hospital. There's no room for discussion."
Y/n looked down shyly, knowing she wasn't going to win this argument. So, she waited for Jay to finish her call, definitely dramatizing her situation to Will.
When he hung up, he sat down next to her on the couch and brought her into his arms again. Jay squeezed her, needing to calm down and reassure him that she was relatively okay and safe. He placed his face on her neck, breathing in her perfume, which gave him an immediate comfort.
"Why didn't you call me?" he murmured, his voice breaking. He had never felt so worried as he did at that moment. He wouldn't be able to live if something had happened to his girlfriend. She was the one. The love of her life.
"I didn't want to bother you. You were working."
"Y/n, you can never bother me. Please, call me when something happens. I don't care if it's for the simplest reason, call me. I need to know that you're okay. I would never be able to forgive myself if something bothered you happened and I didn't know anything about it."
"I will. Again, I'm really sor—"
Y/n couldn't finish speaking when Jay's lips were on hers, kissing her fervently. He put all the love he felt for her into that kiss, one hand behind her head and the other on her unhurt cheek. Y/n responded to her kiss, placing her hands on his broad shoulders and pulling him closer.
Hesitantly, they broke the kiss so they could breathe. Their faces were so close that they could feel each other's breaths. Y/n snuggled closer to him, loving the feeling of security that only Jay could give her.
"I love you." Jay admitted in a low voice, not wanting to break the comfortable silence. He was looking into Y/n's eyes intensely, showing how true those words were.
Y/n's eyebrows rose upon hearing her boyfriend's confession. It was the first time Jay had said that to her. Her stomach filled with butterflies and a big smile appeared on her face, which calmed the detective's nerves. "I love you."
"God, I love you so much, baby." Jay kissed her again, his hands moving down to her waist.
However, their little make-out session was interrupted by a doorbell. Jay went to open the door, his lips slightly swollen and a smile on his face. However, he returned to his worried state when the doctor started treating Y/n.
His brother was under Jay's attentive gaze, analyzing everything the redhead did with crossed arms. When Will touched Y/n's bruised cheek and she flinched, the detective stepped forward and glared at his brother. "Careful."
Will gave him a look over his shoulder as if saying I'm the doctor here, but didn't open his mouth. Jay was stressed and Will didn't blame him, he knew how much his younger brother liked this girl. He had even told her about asking her to marry him with his mother's ring.
"I think everything is fine apart from that cut, which doesn't need stitches, and ice the bruise. Hmm, the pressure is still a little high. Has anything happened that could have stressed you even more apart from the accident?" Will asked in doctor mode.
"Uhm…" Y/n hesitated, looking shyly at Jay. "Well, let's just say the other driver wasn't too happy about me hitting his car. He was a little scary."
The silence that formed was horrible. Will cringed, knowing that Jay was going to completely flip out. He was already a nervous wreck, and this was only going to make his mood and worry worse. As expected by both, the detective let out a series of curse words, taking his hands to his hair and pulling it. He closed his eyes and clenched his wrists, trying to control himself. At that moment, he needed to comfort his girlfriend and then he would deal with the man who scared her.
"You know the car's registration number, right?" Jay asked her when he calmed down slightly. He sat on the couch, pulling Y/n onto his lap, feeling the need to always be touching her. Y/n nodded. "Good. I'll deal with him later."
"Well, it looks like my work here is done. Y/n, ice your cheek and disinfect the cut. If you feel any discomfort or pain, don't hesitate to call me."
"You sure she doesn't need to go to the hospital, Will?" Jay kissed Y/n's neck, feeling her snuggle closer to him and closing her eyes as she yawned.
"Nothing seems wrong. She just needs to rest and recover."
"Okay. Thanks, man."
"Thank you, Will." the girl opened her eyes and smiled slightly. Then she turned to Jay who instead of making an effort to get up, tightened his arms around her. "Aren't you going to accompany your brother out?"
"He knows the way out." he muttered. Will rolled his eyes, but smiled at the couple and left. He knew Jay would never let Y/n out of his sight again.
Jay kept tracing her cheek lovingly, which was making Y/n sleepy. "Are you tired, baby?"
"Yeah."
"Go to sleep. I'm going to take the week off and I will also call your boss saying you won't be going to work until you get better." Jay said, kissing her forehead.
"That's not necessary. I feel fine." Y/n tried to argue.
"It won't work, Y/n. You're going to stay at home and rest so I can take care of you. I need to know you are safe and okay. And the only way to know that is to have you in my arms. I'll never let you go."
"I kind of like that idea." she chuckled.
"Good." he said, continuing to soothe her into unconsciousness. When he felt Y/n's breathing calm down, indicating that she was asleep, Jay pulled out his phone, calling Voight. "I need you to research the owner of a vehicle. Find what you can to get him arrested, parking tickets, speed limits, I don't care. He scared my girl."
"You got it, Jay. Take care of Y/n."
"I will. Bye." he hung up and focused his attention on his girlfriend again. She was so perfect. "I love you, baby. So much."

[part two] we weren’t just friends - okkotsu yuuta
Tumblr media
word count: 11k warnings: swearing, drinking (but it’s legal!), mentions of masturbating summary: two idiots that are bad at confrontation and don’t want things to be awkward somehow make things awkward anyways. more info: college!au, aged up characters, roommates!au, childhood friends, n*oya makes an appearance in this part, soft yuuta taking care of drunk reader
part two: “i’m not ready, eyes heavy now” ___
[mai] : do you want me to come kidnap you? just say we have plans
[maki] : you don’t need to kidnap her.  she’s a big girl.  She can handle talking about her feelings.  can’t you, (y/n)?
[(y/n)] : no i don’t think i can :’( pls come rescue me, idk what to do.
[mai] : maki where are the keys i’m going over there
[maki] : the fuck you are, stay away from my car.
[maki] : i say this with love, (y/n).  get out of bed and just talk to him.  it’s not like you boned.  A little kissing never hurt anyone.  your friendship is stronger than that, don’t you think?
[(y/n)] : …it was a lot of kissing…
[mai] : did he get a boner?
[maki] : you’ve been friends a long time.  and he kissed you back, didn’t he? he probably enjoyed it.
[(y/n)] : i think he enjoyed it… idk… i’m rlly embarrassed about it.
[mai] : if he got a boner he enjoyed it.
[maki] : ur being gross :p
[(y/n)] : but what if he just got carried away and it didn’t mean anything and he’s upset with me?
[maki] : did he say he was upset with you?
[(y/n)] : … no.
[mai] : he’s probs pent up now.  you should seduce him again.
[maki] : then all this talk is pointless.  go TALK to him and then if it’s bad we’ll come swoop you up and take you out for the day.  deal?
[(y/n)] : bed is comfy… and safe…
[mai] : and if we don’t hear from u we’ll assume u seduced him again
[maki] : you got this :)
(y/n) sighed as she turned off her phone, dropping it onto her mattress as she glared up at her ceiling.  The light from the sun had long since poured in through the window, having woken her up hours ago.  She wasn’t surprised to see so many texts in her groupchat with the Zen’in twins after Toge blabbed about what he thought he saw when he returned to the apartment late last night.
Normally she would’ve ignored their pestering and turned down any assumptions they may have made.  But she needed advice from her closest friends on what to do now.  She had yet to leave the safety of her bedroom, knowing Yuuta would be awake and going about his morning routine.  Maybe it was silly to be afraid of running into him, but her shame kept her shackled to the bed.
Maki was right, it wasn’t fair to assume how Yuuta would behave today.  It was a discredit to the years of friendship under their belts.  But then again, making out in a sudden moment of weakness was a blunder on their friendship, too.
Dramatically, she rolled over, planting her face in her pillow and groaning out her frustrations.
When she finally made an appearance, Yuuta’s head shot up from the kitchen table where he’d set up his things to spend the day working on an essay he should’ve started yesterday.  Just like yesterday, his focus shifted completely as soon as her door creaked open and she stepped out.
Her eyes widened a bit when they landed on him, as if she was surprised to see him there at all.  He gave her a small smile, hoping to ease any nerves she likely had coming into the morning.
“Mornin’,” He hummed, his gaze fixed on her as she lingered in her doorway, seemingly unsure about leaving her room at all.  “Made a pot of coffee if you need some”
Yes, caffeine, her body pleaded, and she nodded at him gratefully as she made her way to the kitchen.  Even as she grabbed her usual mug out of the cupboard and poured a generous amount of coffee into it, she could feel his eyes on her back.
He watches as she shuffles about the kitchen, pouring in her cream and sugar before testing the drink, then repeating the cream and sugar.  He smiles to himself as this happens a few more times.  She’s not happy with it until it’s color is milky brown, and it surely no longer tastes like coffee at all.
“Thank you” She hums when she takes a longer drink, smiling as it finally tastes perfect.
She turns to him, leaning against the counter and holding her mug carefully in both hands.  He gives her a nod, his eyes flickering over her, as though looking for any sign of discontent.  He finds none.
“Yeah,” He replies quietly.  “You sleep alright?”
(y/n) nods back.  “You?”
He shrugs a shoulder, his head moving from side to side with lack of a real answer.  Her lips pull into an awkward frown, not knowing what to say now.
She hates that she finds it so hard to speak to him.  It had never been like this between them before.  They’d never tiptoed around each other, conversation always came naturally.  And when they were quiet, the silence was comfortable.
The silence now feels so heavy that her chest aches.
She hates that she’s the reason for the nervous energy buzzing in the air, making her skin prick with goosebumps and her heart beat erratically.
“I, uh, I think I’m gonna go out with the twins later” She forces herself to speak, saying the first thing that comes to mind.  Even though she hadn’t explicitly made plans with the Zen’ins, she was sure they’d do her this favor.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah,” She sighs, sounding less convincing by the second.  “Probably for drinks, I could really use a drink” She mumbles the last part.
Yuuta chuckles, his smile cracking a little further as his eyes catch the clock on the oven behind her, before looking at her again.
“Not even ten in the mornin’,” He tells her, tilting his head.  “Already need to forget today?”
Her face flushes and she tilts her head to stare down at her cup of coffee.
“That’s alright,” Yuuta brushes off her nervousness as best he could.  He just wanted her to be at ease, even if that meant pretending nothing happened between them.  “I’ve got an essay to keep me company today anyways,” He says, nodding to the scattered textbooks and notebooks before him.  “But you’ll let me know if you need a ride, or anything?”
She nods back at him, the smile on her face a little more genuine this time.
“Yeah, I will” She says, and finally makes her way out of the kitchen.
She goes to greet their fish good morning, cooing softly to the thing as it swims about it’s tank excitedly.  She gives into it’s begging, sprinkling in the smallest amount of fish flakes as she could, and cheering quietly as he strikes at the little clump of food at the surface of the water.  Yuuta tries not to stare as she murmurs and coos to the fish as though it were any other pet, a kitten, or a hamster.  But he can’t help the lurch in his heart watching her sweet talk the betta that only had the capacity to care about being hungry.  The scene truly was a testament to her character.
She finished her coffee and went about her normal routine without much else to say to him.  Yuuta tried not to mind.  He tried to focus on his essay and give her space to settle back into what felt normal.  He just hoped she’d relax sooner than later.  He’d hate to have her feel uncomfortable in her own home.
Shortly after she’d gotten in the shower, he lost focus on his project again and reached for his phone.
[yuuta] : i feel like a total fucking idiot.  i think i messed everything up.
[toge] : looked like u guys enjoyed urselves to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[yuuta] : so not what i meant. [yuuta] : she can barely talk to me.  she only just got out of bed.  she seemed so uncomfortable.
[toge] : did she seem mad? maybe she just didn’t know what to say.  it is kinda awkward
[yuuta] : i don’t think she’s mad.  I think she just regrets it
[toge] : did u bring it up?
[yuuta] : no, i don’t know how
[toge] : well did u try ‘hey we made out and i liked it, what are we?’
[yuuta] : ._.
[toge] : ok taking that as a no. [toge] : but starting w that is prlly a good idea
[yuuta] : but what if that makes it worse [yuuta] : what if she doesn’t want anything more and it was just like a one time thing yk [yuuta] : we both had a bit to drink. [yuuta] : i think i’m going to have a panic attack.
[toge] : ok slow down for a sec [toge] : you’re jumping to conclusions, remember? you can’t decide what she’s thinking bcuz you haven’t talked about it. [toge] : rn what you have control over is what you want to do about it.  So for now, just try to focus on that. [toge] : and ur essay for econ.  actually you should put most of your focus on that.
[yuuta] : ok ur right.  i’m gonna work on that now. [yuuta] : thank you.  I’ll talk to you about it later.
[toge] : :) ___
Yuuta had never felt the menacing glare of the Zen’in twins fixed on him before.  When he opens the door to find them in the hallway, clearly perturbed to be greeted by him rather than the girl they were here to escort for the evening, he felt a cold sweat form on the back of his neck.
“Hey guys-”
“Where’s (y/n)?” Maki pushed in first, side stepping Yuuta completely and bee-lining for (y/n’s) bedroom door, which had been shut since she’d been getting ready to go out with them.
Mai gave him a sympathetic smile, and he stepped aside to let her in.
“She’s a bit on edge, don’t worry about her,” She explained her sister’s antics, something she’d grown used to doing.  “But how are you doing?”
The simple question didn’t hold it’s usual casual tone.  Mai looked genuinely curious to know his answer.  In fact, it looked like she was taking pity on him as her brows drew together in concern.
“Uh- fine.  I’m fine,” Yuuta stammered over his answer, and quickly made his way towards the kitchen, looking for something to busy himself with.  Getting interrogated by Maki and Mai was the last thing his nerves needed right now.
Even if Maki had already barged into (y/n’s) room and shut the door behind her with a slam.  He’d perked up at the ruckus, watching the door worriedly, but it remained shut, and he didn’t hear hollering from inside, so he figured all was fine between the two, and Maki was just up to her usual untamed behavior.  Mai chuckled to herself.
“Did you want a glass of water? Or something?” Yuuta asked, already filling a cup at the sink.
“Oh no, I’m alright,” Mai shook her head and took a seat at the kitchen table.  Her eyes scan over the messy stacks of books and the long extension cord that reaches across the whole room to keep his laptop alive while he works.  “You’ve been busy, hm?”
Yuuta chokes, whirling around, not realizing she’d been commenting on his mess at the table.  He instantly flushes, especially when Mai raises a brow and her lips curl into a smirk at his reaction.
“Oh- that- yeah,” He coughs to clear the hitch in his throat, hitting his fist to his chest a few times for good measure.  “I have an essay that’s due in a week” He explains quietly, certain that she didn’t actually care what he was working on.
Mai only nods, changing the subject before he could bore her with the specifics of the assignment.
“So, what’re your thoughts on the whole thing?”
Yuuta blinks, unsure of what she was really asking.  Mai tilts her head at him, knowing he was a smart enough guy that he could figure it out on his own.
“I don’t know…” He sighs, bringing a hand up to the back of his neck.  “I don’t know what the right thing to do is…”
Mai giggles cutely behind her fingers, as if she’d been watching two kittens playing with a ball of yarn, rather than watch a grown man struggle with the feelings he’d carried for years.  Feelings so strong everyone around him knew damn well where his heart lied.  It was a cruel laugh, but she couldn’t help it.  Yuuta could be so pitifully hilarious sometimes.
“Sorry,” Her apology is empty when he furrows his brow at her.  “It’s just… I owe Toge money for this, you know,”
Yuuta’s gawking now, frozen and silent as he waits for further explanation.  Had everyone been in on something he hadn’t known about? Was this all some elaborate prank on him?
“I always thought you’d make the first move.  Guess Toge knew best this time”
“Wait, you actually bet on- he bet against me?” Yuuta stammered.  Mai smiled sweetly.
“Everyone bet against you,” She told him.  “Well, everyone but me,” She corrected right away.  “Personally, I thought it’d be a whole love confession thing, you know? Like in the movies? I always thought you were the kind of guy that just wouldn’t be able to hold it in anymore.  After last night I was sure that if (y/n/n) had a little push it’d be enough for you to do something.  But it sounds like she initiated, no?”
Yuuta’s head was spinning taking in all of this information at once.  Everyone knew? His closest friends, and they bet against him? His face felt hot with embarrassment, and just when he thought this whole thing couldn’t get worse, too.  Damn them all for being such a close knit group of friends that nothing was private anymore.
“I… I guess…” He answered the question quietly, unsurely.  Truthfully Yuuta wasn’t sure who exactly was at fault for the situation.  (y/n) might have brought up the subject, but he was the one who kissed first, wasn’t he? “So… she told you all of it?” He asked.
Mai smirked.
“Sorry, can’t break the girl code,” She says innocently.  Yuuta rolls his eyes.  Bullshit.  She just wanted to yank his chain.  “But you’re my friend too,” She reminds him.  “So I was just curious what you thought about all this”
Their banter was cut short by (y/n’s) door swinging open, Maki’s voice carrying out into the hall as she exited, nodding for her sister to get up to head out.
(y/n) followed shortly after, a pair of heels in one hand, her other hand occupied trying to secure a bracelet on her wrist.  With her focus on awkwardly trying to maneuver the clasp with one free hand, Yuuta was given enough time to stare at her properly.
She’d spent a lot of time holed up in her room, supposedly getting ready, and now he could see just the amount of effort she’d put into doing so.  Her hair was done up, styled in perfect soft waves that bounced when she moved, and fell around her shoulders.  A simple but pretty dress hung from tiny straps at her shoulders and fell just above her knees.  It was her favorite color and one that complimented her very well.  Yuuta had been there when she’d found it and claimed it was an ‘impulse buy’, but she’d loved it thoroughly and had worn it regularly.  He stared in awe while she struggled with the jewelry and cursed under her breath.
It took him a minute to come back to reality, blinking quickly as if he needed to refocus, before approaching her with an outstretched hand and a small smile.  She understood what he was offering from the small action.  It wasn’t the first time she’d struggled to put on her own jewelry, and she’d often turned to him for help with the dainty clasps.
Sheepishly, (y/n) placed the charm bracelet in the palm of his hand, before holding her wrist out to him.  With how close she is he can smell the flowery perfume she’d just applied before coming out of her room.  It was sweet and pretty and he swore it flooded his senses like THC, lifting him right off the floor and into the clouds.
“Thank you” She murmurs.
She watches as he carefully lifts the jewelry from both ends, securing the claw clasp between his thumb and index finger gently.  A smile lifted at the corners of his lips as the little charms dangled off the silver chain, and he recognized the bracelet.
It was a gift from him.  For the first birthday she’d celebrated since moving in together.  It wasn’t the most extravagant thing, there were no jewels, the chain was made of silver rather than rose gold or something more expensive and romantic.  The charms were a mismatched set of stars and moons, some varying in color, but most of them the same silver as the chain they dangled from.  When he’d come across it, Yuuta thought he’d struck gold.  It had been the perfect gift.  He’d seen it in the window at a jewelry store he’d never looked at twice before, but somehow this little bracelet called to him and he was waltzing right inside and purchasing it at the counter not five minutes later.
The clerk placed it in a little velvet box, which Yuuta took home and carefully wrapped a silky white ribbon around.  It had taken some practice to tie the bow just right, but he’d been very proud of his craftsmanship.  In the days leading up to her birthday, he was sure he was going to ruin the surprise, he was so giddy with excitement.
Then when the day came, and they were all out with their friends for dinner, he was a wreck.  Everyone else’s gifts were so different from his.  Maki had given her a nice leather jacket, Mai had given her a handle of her favorite rum, and Toge had given her a new game for their switch.  When all that was left was the small gift bag holding Yuuta’s gift, he was chugging his drink as she reached into it with a grin.
The table went silent when she pulled out a tell-tale velvet box, a perfect silk bow tied around it.  Yuuta avoided her gaze when her wide eyes turned to him.  He’d missed the way her cheeks had warmed up, too embarrassed by the stares from the rest of their friends.  ‘Jewelry?’ she’d asked sweetly, before carefully untying the ribbon and propping open the box.  She’d gasped, setting the box down carefully before lifting the bracelet from it, admiring each mismatched charm dangling from it.
Her eyes lit up as she turned to him, holding it out for him with one hand, the other wrist on display as she bounced in her seat, prompting him to put it on her.  That was the first of many times Yuuta had clasped the gift carefully around her wrist.  Conversation between the twins and Toge picked up again as the pair shared a sweet, private moment.  Yuuta wasn’t sure why it was so intimate to do such a simple favor for his friend, but his skin burned where it grazed hers as he adjusted the new jewelry for her.
‘It’s beautiful,’ She’d whispered softly, her eyes fond as they gazed into his.  ‘I love it so much, thank you, Yuuta’.
As he hooked the claw through the usual hoop she always wore it at, the perfect length to keep it secure on her wrist but still let the little stars loosely dangle, Yuuta couldn’t help but think about that first time he’d put it on for her.
“There,” He hummed when it hung perfectly around her wrist.  “You’re all set now”
His eyes lingered on the bracelet and it’s meaning that he’d never quite worked up the courage to tell her about, before flickering to meet her soft expression.  There was something in her eyes that told him she was trying to say something, but she didn’t budge on it.  Her lips curved into a small smile as she nodded at him in gratitude.
“So we’re ready?” Maki cleared her throat, drawing both of their attention over to where she had her arms crossed and a brow raised.
(y/n) was quick to shuffle away from Yuuta, sliding on her heels and making sure the straps were adjusted just right at her ankles before giving Maki a wide smile.
“Ready!”
She leaves with a wave and a sweet call of good luck on finishing his essay.  Yuuta lingers at the door, even long after the three have left for the night.  The creeping feeling that he’s an idiot plaguing his mind again.
It wasn’t like he could tell her not to go, that wasn’t fair.  It also didn’t seem right to tag along, he wasn’t a total moron after all, he knew that she needed some space tonight with her girlfriends to collect herself and get over what happened between them.
But god, he just hoped she wasn’t going to get over it by finding someone else to distract her from it. ___
Rather than go to the usual bar that the group would spend free evenings at, Maki and Mai had promised an all new experience for the night.  Mai talked up the place animatedly, all bright eyes and movements of her perfectly manicured hands, while Maki drove and chastised her sister for being such an annoying passenger.
The longer (y/n) spent around them, the more her nerves began to settle and she finally gave in to the excitement of going out for the night.  It had been a while since they’d done something just the three of them.  Girl time was hard to come by, and often only happened in their groupchat.  Toge and Yuuta had a way of wiggling into their plans, not that they really complained about it.  It was nice to have a close and comfortable group of friends.
But right now, (y/n) needed two things.  One, time with her favorite twins that always scored free drinks wherever they went.  And two, the free drinks that the pair were currently scoring as they chatted up the bartender.
(y/n) watched in amusement as Maki slid her glasses onto the top of her head pulling her hair away from her pretty face, and Mai leaned over the bar on her elbows, her low cut top doing all the work for her even while she undoubtedly flirted with the tattooed man behind the bar.  The high top table (y/n) sat at with all of their purses- it wasn’t like the Zen’ins needed their wallets- was far enough away that she couldn’t hear the conversation happening, but she recognized the sweet, alluring smile on Mai’s red painted lips.  It was a flirty look, and held absolutely no bite behind the bark.  It was just a well rehearsed dance, and she knew exactly how to use it to get what she wanted.
Admittedly, it had even worked on (y/n) a few times.  So she knew that no man was strong enough to withstand it’s power.
Sure enough, the girls were already headed back to the table with three drinks between them, and proud grins on their faces as they snickered between themselves.
“Did a phone number come with these?” (y/n) teased as Maki handed her the extra cocktail.  She thanked her with a bright smile, admiring the swirls of color in the drink before she stirred it up.
“Sure did,” Mai says, flashing the napkin between her fingers, the scrawl of numbers in purple ink spread across one side.  “I think I might call this one too” She adds excitedly.
Maki and (y/n) share a laugh before the three of them raise their glasses, clinking them together gently.
A few drinks passed and (y/n) had almost forgotten why she’d even wanted to go out tonight.  It was so nice to hang out with the Zen’in twins.  There was always plenty to gossip about, and especially in a setting like this one, there was only more fuel for their fire.
While Mai went back to order their fourth round, and flirt with the bartender some more, Maki dragged (y/n) out to the dance floor.  She knew her well enough to know that three drinks was just the right amount to loosen her up and get her out there without much protest.  And just as she thought, (y/n) eagerly followed, hips already swaying to the familiar beat.
“You feelin’ better?” Maki asked, leaning in close enough so she didn’t have to yell as much over the music.  Close enough that (y/n) could smell the familiar perfume she’d been wearing since they were in high school.
“I am,” She beamed up at her friend while they danced.  “Thank you for taking me out, this is just what I needed”
Maki smiled back at her, relieved to have helped.  Even if it was only for a few hours, she knew that this distraction was necessary to clear her mind.
(y/n) and Yuuta had been dancing the dance of friends that hadn’t realized they were infatuated with each other for so long that Maki genuinely couldn’t remember a time when their romantic tension wasn’t all consuming.  When they’d decided to move in together, she’d known it was only a matter of time before something changed between them.  They all knew, hence the bet with Mai and Toge, that living in close quarters would create a rift at some point.
It sounded like that rift was more of a dive head first into unexplored territory, and (y/n’s) panic text last night that only read ‘s.o.s yuuta and i almost hooked up and i think i’m gonna have a panic attack’ was far more than anything she could expected to happen, but it was amusing nonetheless.
And Maki loved her friends.  She loved them so much she was happy to take her out for drinks and dancing in order to relieve some of the awkward tension at home.  But her friends were morons, and when this was resolved, she planned to never let them live it down.
Because there was no doubt in her mind that Yuuta loved (y/n) with every fiber of his being.  No doubt at all that (y/n) felt just the same for him.  She’d been following him around with stars in her eyes since they were children.  And Yuuta had never treated anyone the way he treated (y/n)- like she hung the moon and stars, like his entire world revolved around her.
They could be in a crowded room with blasting music and hollering voices, and if (y/n) was speaking, Yuuta was listening to every word with his undivided attention.  Maki had seen it, on multiple occasions.
Six drinks and two free rounds of shots from the bartender that had a crush on Mai later, and Maki was struggling to herd her sister and her friend outside and towards the car.
It was very late into the night, and even for a Friday night Maki was ready to crash and get a full night of sleep.  She should have known to start the process of leaving an hour early, because since suggesting they square up their minimal tab and heading out, an hour is how long it had taken to get the two remotely close to the door.
Mai was insistent on staying until the place closes- which wasn’t for another three hours- but Maki refused to ditch her sister at a bar at one in the morning with a guy she just met.  Free drinks or not, that crossed girl and sister code for her.
(y/n) was a different story.  Three-drink (y/n) loosened up enough to dance a bit and mingle just a little.  Six-drink-and-two-shots (y/n) was making best friends out of everyone she ran into, whether they wanted to chat or not, she found a reason to hold their attention.  One girl had cute boots, some other guy was wearing a tee shirt of a band she’d heard of- not even liked, just heard of- and now she was off again talking to someone near the bathrooms.
“She said she was gonna pee!” Maki barked, and Mai lazily turned her attention towards where Maki was glaring.  “Come on, let’s go get her.  Again”
Knowing better than to trust Mai to follow, Maki snatches her by the wrist and drags her across the bar with her.  Mai finds this amusing and a bit ridiculous, but doesn’t fight with her.
As they grow nearer and can see (y/n’s) animated talking, they also get a better look at who it was that had stolen her attention.
“Hey wait a sec,” Mai stops in her tracks, pulling her arm out of Maki’s grip only to grab her shoulder and maneuver her body until she could follow her exact line of sight.  “Is that…?” The name doesn’t come off her tongue, but it doesn’t need to.  Maki recognizes the man she’s speaking too instantly.
And she glowers, before speeding off towards the pair at a faster, more determined rate.  This time she knows Mai will be hot on her tail.
“Naoya!”
(y/n) and the stranger she’d been talking to both perk up.  Recognition flashes in both of them as they see the Zen’in twins stampeding towards them.  (y/n) beams, delighted to see her friends.  The handsome stranger she’d been conversing with wears a smug look as he smirks at his cousins.
“We’re leaving,” Maki said, putting herself between (y/n) and her distant cousin, staring down at her friend with a grave expression.  “Let’s go-”
“I didn’t pee” (y/n) pouts up at her, too out of it to notice the hostility between her friend and the man she’d just met.  Maki huffs, narrowing her eyes at her as though to ask ‘really?’.  (y/n) bats her eyes up at her.
“I was just keeping (y/n) here company while she waited,” Naoya speaks up.
The Zen’in twins both spun around to glare at him as he spoke.  If (y/n) hadn’t been inebriated she may have recognized the icy stares that she’d seen many people cower away from before.  Eerily enough when directed at him, he stared back at them with his chin tilted out and a smirk on his face.
“I’m happy to wait with her if you both have somewhere to be?” He suggested.
“As if”
“Eat shit”
Mai and Maki spoke in unison, both of their comments jarring (y/n), who was now shielded behind them like a small child.  Naoya lifted his hands in mock surrender, and took a step away from the wall.
He caught eyes with (y/n), confused, naive, drunk (y/n), who tilted her head as he waved goodbye to her.  She weakly raised a hand to return the gesture.  Maki glared between them both as she followed the interaction.
“You’ve got my number,” He grins, his eyes staying locked on hers even while Maki and Mai’s were so sharp he could almost feel them piercing his skin.  “If you change your mind on getting over that roommate”
Mai’s jaw dropped open as she whirled around to (y/n), a look in her eyes that was somewhere between excitement and bewilderment.  Maki snarled at the man until he finally turned around and left.  It wasn’t until then that she ushered (y/n) into the bathroom, where there was no line to begin with, as it was completely empty inside.
The loud music and crowd at the bar muffled out once they were alone in there, and (y/n) was quick to scurry into a stall.
“Fucking ridiculous,” Maki cursed under her breath, while Mai pulled herself onto the counter of sinks, swinging her feet as she laughed to herself.  “If he tries to talk to her again, I’m punching him in the goddamn teeth”
“That guy?” (y/n) called from the stall, only to go ignored by the sisters on the outside.
“Like when we were kids?” Mai mused, a smirk curling on her lips as she recalled the distant memory.
“No,” Maki shook her head, before a slow smirk of her own formed.  “That was his nose”
They shared a laugh, even while (y/n) continued to ask who and what they were talking about.  Naoya was a face they’d hoped they’d never have to see again, but certainly had no issue breaking if it came to it.  And knowing him, things would likely come to that.  Since birth he’d been an asshole, it seemed.  Something about being a trust fund baby and a narcissistic manipulator seemed to bring out the worst in him.
(y/n) comes out of the stall with a childish frown as she drags her feet to the sink.
“We’re talking about Naoya,” Mai says, leaning back into the mirror to speak to (y/n) while she washes her hands.  “He’s our cousin”
“That guy out there?” (y/n) mumbles, her brows furrowing as she focuses intently on soaping up her hands.  “He’s your cousin?”
Mai nods.
“And he’s the fucking worst,” Maki pipes up with a bark in her tone that has (y/n’s) eyes snapping to her reflection in the mirror.  Sure enough, Maki was giving her a pointed glare.  “Stay away from him (y/n), he’s a piece of shit”
With wide eyes and her lips pressed together, (y/n) nods back at her in a small movement.
She hadn’t spoken to him too much.  He’d approached her while she was lingering at the wall trying to get her texts to go through.  She vaguely recalled him saying something about a pretty girl being alone, but she hadn’t given him much of her attention, too drunk and annoyed with her phone for not working to care.
But one thing led to another and she was complaining to him about not getting in touch with her hot roommate that she’d made things complicated with, and after he showed her how to send the message as a text rather than an imessage, he’d prodded her into telling him more about this situation-ship as he’d called it, and next thing she knew, she was talking on and on about Yuuta.
And (y/n) may have been a bit drunk, but she wasn’t oblivious.  She caught the way he told her he’d help her get her mind off of things, she noticed the smirk on his lips and the darkness in his eyes as they swept her figure.  But she didn’t care about his intentions.  She just needed to vent, to an impartial- partially impartial- party that wouldn’t tell her what everyone else was telling her.
So honestly, (y/n) had no problem ignoring the new number in her contacts.  She wasn’t looking to hook up with Naoya.  But his company was appreciated while it lasted, even if he did only stick around her in the hopes of getting laid.
“She’s not interested in him like that,” Mai tells her sister, before her eyes flit over to (y/n) as she dries her hands.  “Are you?”
(y/n) merely shakes her head, and tosses the paper towel in the bin.
“Thought so,” Mai smirked.  “You’re still hung up on Yuu-ta~” She singsongs his name with girlish charm, and Maki cracks a small laugh, relieved to know that she didn’t have to teach her asshole cousin a lesson to keep him away from her best friend.
“That much is obvious”
“Come on,” (y/n) sighs, pulling on Mai’s arm to get her off of the counter so they could finally leave the bar.  “Let’s go home so I can sleep this off and hopefully forget all of it”
Mai slings her arm around her waist as they leave the bathroom, the noise of the busy place drowning out all else once more.  Even as the three of them push through the crowd, with Maki leading because her presence was strong enough to part a path in any crowd, (y/n’s) thoughts are messy.  It was probably all the drinks, but she couldn’t help but feel guilty for the situation she’d put herself in.
She feels Mai’s cheek on top of her head when they near the door, and Maki opens it for the two to go through first, then follow behind.  Sometimes (y/n) thinks her friendship with the twins had developed so much that she shares some of their special twin telepathy.  Because Mai squeezes her hip and nuzzles into her hair just as her thoughts begin to spiral the longer she thinks about going home.  Mai was always affectionate when she was drunk, and maybe she was riding on a high after her score with the sexy bartender, but (y/n) appreciated it nonetheless.  She even sat with her in the backseat of Maki’s car, falling half asleep on her while leaning up against one another.
“I’m so not carrying her if she passes out,” Maki half-chides as she glares at her barely conscious sister in the backseat.  “She can spend the night back there, I don’t care, I’m tired of carrying her ass around”
(y/n) chuckles, and laughs a little louder as Mai stirs and mutters something along the lines of ‘m not fuckin’ tired back at her.
Somehow she doesn’t pass out on top of (y/n), although her weight is heavy against her, when Maki parks at (y/n’s) apartment complex, Mai sits right up and gets out of the car.  Her and (y/n) keep their arms wrapped around each other as they head inside.  Maki rolls her eyes and occasionally scolds them for being too slow, or stumbling around and bumping into things, but her voice is soft and her hands are gentle as she guides them to the door.
Just as (y/n) is slurring over her words trying- and failing- to explain that she doesn’t have her key, the door opens and Maki is pushing the two inside.
Mai disappears from (y/n’s) side almost instantly, suddenly craving a glass of water and one of the peaches on display in a porcelain bowl on the kitchen counter.
“Pretty much what you expected, yeah?” (y/n) hears Maki say, but she’s suddenly so tired that keeping her eyes open feels like a workout.  She doesn’t even have the energy to ask her what she’s talking about.
“Yeah, pretty much,” Someone replies.  A familiar voice that was deep but soft around the edges.  An instinctive smile forms on her lips.  “Thanks for driving, though.  And for… everything else” The voice grows quieter towards the end.
And then there’s a pair of hands on her shoulders, and (y/n) nearly collapses into the embrace.  She stumbles, catching her heel at an awkward angle and nearly sprains an ankle trying to correct her stance.  But the hands are faster, and stronger, and lift her by her hips before she could fall on the bent ankle or hurt herself at all.  She’s placed right back on the ground a moment later, but the hands remain.
“Yuuta~” She greets him once she finally realizes who it is that is keeping her upright.  It was an honest mistake, with her heavy eyes and alcohol flooded system, it was easy to confuse Yuuta’s strength for Maki’s.
Yuuta chuckles quietly at her delayed acknowledgement, his thumb caressing her hip in gentle circles.
“Let’s get you some water and into bed, hm?” He hums, tugging gently on her to get her to follow him.
(y/n) stumbles along without much hesitation at all.  She’s humming a tune that had been stuck in her head after she’d heard it at the bar, and Yuuta tries not to laugh at her inebriated state, but she does make it difficult.
When he opens the door to her bedroom, they realize why it had been shut.
Mai was face down in (y/n’s) pillows, passed out cold.  Her heels had been kicked off and unceremoniously thrown onto the rug, but that was as far as she got in settling in for bed.  She was still in her dress, all of her jewelry, and most definitely was staining (y/n’s) silky pillowcases with her makeup.
“Damn, that’s another pillowcase set she owes me” (y/n) mumbles with a huff, leaning defeatedly into her door frame.
“She’s done this before?” Yuuta’s brows furrow.
(y/n) looks over at him with a frustrated pout before nodding.  He winces, but their moment of shared exasperation is quickly clouded by how funny it was that such a thing had occurred twice and they hadn’t learned from it, and soon Yuuta was ushering them both out of the doorway and into the hall so they could let her sleep in peace.
“We’ll let her stay,” He says quietly, already guiding her to the other door.  His door, she realizes distantly.  “She clearly needs the rest, you can just stay in here, alright?”
He watches the delay in her realization as she turns to face him with a concerned look on her face.  Yuuta already knows what she’s going to say before the words form in her mouth.
“Don’t worry ‘bout it,” He eases her into the room with a gentle hand on her lower back.  Her expression is still unsure, but her feet move on their own accord further into the room.  “Get somethin’ to wear out of the dresser,” Yuuta instructs, knocking his knuckle against the drawer he kept his sleepwear in.  “I’ll go let Maki know she can stay with Mai if she wants”
(y/n) gives him a small nod before he leaves the room, shutting the door behind him.
It felt odd being in his room, not because it was unfamiliar to her, she actually spent plenty of time lounging in his room with him, but it was odd being there without him.  Especially when she’d been asked to change, and into his clothes no less.
Her movements were hesitant as she opened the drawer he’d pointed to.  The wood creaked out and put his clothes on their perfect, organized display.  She let out a small laugh through her nose at how crisp his tee shirts were folded, and similarly, the even rolls of sweatpants beside them.  It was almost ridiculous how perfect it all looked.  But she couldn’t be surprised.
It almost felt wrong to pluck out a tee shirt and pair of sweats and unfold them, but suddenly her wrinkled skirt and the straps that didn’t want to stay in place on her shoulders were enough of a bother for her to unzip the irritating material and let it drop to the floor.
Yuuta’s clothes smelled like him.  Which shouldn’t have been something that surprise her as much as it did, pausing as she tugged the tee shirt down, dipping her nose against the loose collar and inhaling the familiar scent of pine and the laundry detergent they shared, creating a fragrance that was so distinctly Yuuta she could recognize it in a second.
She tied the drawstrings of the sweatpants in a double knot to keep them from sliding back off her hips, and that was when there was a knock on the door.
“Come in” She called quietly, aware of the sleeping girl in the next room over.  Although a tornado couldn’t stir Mai from the drunken slumber she was in.
Yuuta opened the door slowly, trying to keep it from creaking, before he entered the room.
He tried not to stare, he really did, but he couldn’t help but smile at the way his clothes blanketed her, and just how cute she looked in them.  It wasn’t necessarily the first time she’s worn his clothes, there had been plenty of times where he’d lent her his jacket, or a spare tee shirt in high school when she’d spilled milk on her blouse, and those times had felt special too, but now felt… significant.
Seeing her wrapped up in his pajamas in his room while getting ready to go to sleep in his bed, Yuuta’s grinning at her while her face is going pink with embarrassment.
“Maki went home,” He cleared his throat, trying to remember the conversation he’d just had before he walked in here and had his mind wiped of all logical thought.  “She said she’ll pick Mai up in the morning”
“Alright then,” (y/n) nodded in understanding.  “Oh, and can I borrow a-”
“Your shoes are still on,”
Yuuta’s voice is soft as he cuts her off, vaguely pointing to where her strappy heels poked out under the pool of fluffy cotton at her feet.  She looks down as though confused by the statement, but sure enough she realizes she hadn’t taken them off when she’d dropped her dress and stepped into the sweats.
She giggles to herself and lifts a leg, the excess fabric of his pants hanging off her ankle so she could be sure her heels were in fact still on her feet.
“Here,” Yuuta reaches out, guiding her to sit on the edge of his bed.  She follows, but just before she could lean over to undo the small buckles at her ankles, Yuuta was already kneeling to the ground before her.
(y/n’s) certain that her mistake from the night prior is the only reason that she feels a swell in her chest and an intimate tension settle in the air around them.  Because there’s no other reason she should feel her heart racing and her face going hot as he carefully unlatches the buckle of the left shoe and slides the strap out before pulling the shoe away and dropping it to the floor.  There’s no reason why she should feel butterflies fluttering around her tummy as he follows the same procedure for the right one.
But she does.  She feels her blush and the butterflies and the dryness in her throat as the tension sucks all of the oxygen right from her lungs.  And when he looks up at her with a sweet smile, surely happy to have helped, all of those feelings seem to be put under a magnifying glass.
“Better?” He asks with that damn smile.
Against her will, her mind wanders to how soft and warm that smile had felt when it was pressed against her mouth.  How firm and gentle and experienced his mouth felt when it kissed hers.  Her fingers dig into the plush comforter she sat on, trying to ground herself to reality, as far away from that memory as she could get.
She gives him a small nod.
“What did you want to borrow?” He asks as he stands, and her eyes follow his as he’s suddenly so easily towering over her.  She almost had no idea what he was talking about, and she’s quick to release her hold on the blanket.
“Right- um- could I borrow one of your blankets? Mai is on top of all of-”
Yuuta’s chuckling makes her halt in her explanation, her brows barely pinching together in question at the reaction.
“You don’t need to sleep on the couch (y/n/n), you can stay in here, I already told you that,”
She presses her lips together as she regards him, trying to find any source of discomfort or regret.  He seems to pick up on her evaluation, and he raises a brow as he chuckles at her.
The sound feels all too delighted, like he was amused by her hesitation.
“(y/n), it’s fine, you’re overthinking,” He tells her.  “I’ll get you a glass of water, m’kay? Just… get comfortable.  You’ve slept in here tons of times before”
He leaves the room before she could say what they were both thinking.  Not like this.  She’d accidentally napped in here on a few occasions, waiting too long for him to be done studying, or when her bedding was in the wash and she had grown tired after a day of chores, she wasn’t a stranger to his bed.  But just as she wasn’t a stranger to his room, it still felt all too new right now.
Like if she moved too quickly she might break something intangible yet oh so fragile.
Nonetheless, she shuffles into the bed and under the covers, and her hazy mind begins to settle as soon as she rests her head on one of Yuuta’s feathery pillows.  She wonders if everything he surrounded himself with- his clothes, his blankets, his pillows- was comfortable because he valued comfort, or if it simply was because it was all his.  Because it was an extension of him.
But maybe she was still just a bit drunk and overthinking the fluffy warmth surrounding her.  Maybe he was right about that part.
She’d just been drifting off to sleep when the door opened again, and she peeks her eyes open as Yuuta brings a glass of water over to the bedside table she laid next to.
“Try to drink all that tonight, alright?” His voice is a hum, surrounded by softness, and comfort, and she’s reaching for that question in the back of her mind again, prodding at it until she’s a little less sleepy, her curiosity stirring her mind enough to keep it active.
“Alright,” She murmurs back, leaning up on her elbow as she reaches for the glass, delighted to see it was chilled with ice.  “Thank you” She adds before taking a few sips.  Her dry throat had gone unnoticed until the first touch of water to her tongue, and suddenly she’s drinking down half the glass.
The bed dips behind her as Yuuta settles in, sighing to himself quietly as he gets situated.  (y/n) quickly sets the glass back down, before turning over to face him.
In the dark room she vaguely makes out his silhouette, and she can’t tell if he’s looking at her or not, so maybe it’s what helped ease her nerves as she laid before him.
“Did you have a good night?” He breaks the silence first, but he keeps his voice quiet.
“Yeah, I guess so,” (y/n) mumbles back, her fingers finding a loose thread in his sheets.  “It was fun dancing with Maki and Mai…” She wraps the thread around the tip of her middle finger.
“You sound disappointed” Yuuta comments, hooking his arm under his pillow so he could get a slightly better read on her expression, but the shadows cast over her features are too dark for him to decipher.
But he can feel it when she shrugs one of her shoulders and hums in a way that sounds like I don’t know.
“It was alright, it was, I just…” She tries to explain it, but as she speaks the rest of the words just don’t come to mind.  It had been fine, it had been fun even, nothing wrong had happened, but it didn’t quite feel… “I think I just thought my tendency of drinking to forget was the right way to go, but I don’t think it worked, and I think I’m only going to feel worse,”
It was word vomit through and through, an endless stream of thoughts flowing right out of her mouth before she could think twice about what she was saying or how it might make him feel.  But the cusp of the issue was right there and she was dying to understand the complicated knot of feelings swelling in her chest.
“I think I made a mistake,” She slows down as she says this, and Yuuta wishes she would’ve ripped off the bandaid, but at least she couldn’t see it when he frowned at her.  “But not- not for what you think, I don’t mean it… like that,” She stammers a bit as she tries to correct herself, the alcohol still in her system doing her no favors besides the minor boost in courage.  “But I… I don’t think I could handle it” She says in a small voice.
She’s quiet for a bit as she tightens the thread around her finger, barely able to make out the way it creases and dips into her skin.
“Well…” Yuuta sighs, struggling to find the right thing to say to her.
What could he say? He could tell her the truth, unpack all of his feelings, his entire heart, right here, but at the end of the day wouldn’t that just make things more complicated? She wasn’t exactly sober, and if she didn’t feel remotely the same way then he dug himself a socially awkward grave that he’d just have to live in because damn it they split the rent.  He’s panicking, breaking into a cold sweat even under two blankets.
“It was just a kiss, yeah?” He repeats what she’d told him just last night.  But unlike the confident, smug way she’d phrased it, he sounds unsure, and maybe even frightened.
Her head moves, and he still can’t make out the direction of her gaze, but he can still feel her eyes on him.  He tries to focus his vision better, hoping to adjust to the darkness soon.
“If it was just a kiss I don’t think I would’ve felt compelled to go out and try to forget it happened,” (y/n) replies, her voice hushed, afraid of revealing too much.  “I’m just really sorry”
Yuuta blinks a few times, as if that would help him figure out if he heard her right.
“You don’t have to apologize, (y/n),” He tells her, his voice taking on a more serious tone.  “You have nothing to be sorry for, you didn’t do anything wrong-”
“I made things so weird and over- over some dumb advice from Maki- and I just can’t believe I managed to find a way to make our friendship weird because- because you mean a lot to me, you’re really my best friend, Yuuta”
He can’t tell if his heart swells with love or bursts with the sting of rejection at the statement.
“You’re overthinking again,” He forces a light chuckle, before reaching out and gently wrapping his hand over hers.  “It’s not that weird, alright? Nothing could change… us… okay?”
She doesn’t say anything, just sighs in disappointment while his thumb brushes over the back of her hand.
“You mean a lot to me too, you know that,” He tried to lighten the mood, but with barely seeing her face it was hard to tell how she was feeling.  “It was just a kiss, alright? Just a… really nice kiss”
“A few really nice kisses,” She mutters under her breath, finally cracking a small laugh.  Yuuta beams back at her, unable to stop himself from giggling back at her.
It grows quiet between them after a few minutes, but this time it’s comfortable, and she feels her muscles untense as she sinks further into the mattress.
“I did complain about you, though”
“Complain?” Yuuta pouted.  “To the Zen’ins? They’ll use that against me, you know”
(y/n) giggles, knowing full well that if she’d told the twins one foul thing about Yuuta they’d grab him by the ankles and dangle him right off this apartment building until he apologized to her.  But she shakes her head at him.
“No, no not to them.  Some guy at the bar,” She explains.  “Their cousin, actually,”
He racks his brain for a minute, trying to recall who this cousin is, but he can only think of Megumi, and everyone knew Megumi, so had she run into Megumi, she would’ve said so, wouldn’t she? But no, she said some guy.
“Got his number, too,” She adds, but she sounds defeated, like it wasn’t a victory to get a cute stranger’s number at a bar when she’d specifically gone out seeking a distraction.
Something odd twists in Yuuta’s gut.  The jealousy was distinct, but the pride in picking up on the fact that she hadn’t been interested in this mysterious Zen’in relative.
“Maki said he’s a dick, though,” She explained her lack of interest.  “But he was sure happy to put up with my troubles”
Yuuta lets out a humorless laugh.  “Who wouldn’t listen to a pretty girl at a bar rant about her problems?” He asks, and he can’t quite see it but he knows she rolls her eyes at him.  “But since you got that number complaining about me, that makes me a wingman, right?”
She snorts back at him.
“Not in the slightest”
“No?” He frowns.  “Why not?”
“For one, you weren’t there, you can’t be a wingman if you’re not present,” She explains, matter-of-factly.  “And for two, I don’t think telling a guy how annoying it is that my hot roommate has been walking around in a towel and getting in my head really is all that deserving of me getting a phone number.  I don’t think that booty-call was going to lead anywhere other than the bathroom stall”
Yuuta crinkled his nose at the descriptive language, before backtracking and perking up at the other part.
“Did you say I’m hot?”
Realization flashes in her eyes, and Yuuta thanks whatever deity is up there that he can finally make out her features in the dark room.  When she doesn’t immediately reply, his lips curl into a grin.
“You did!” He teases, and she yanks her hand out of his gentle hold, only for him to poke at her face playfully.  “You said-!”
“Hush,” She shushes him with irritation.  “You’ll wake up Mai.  And- and that’s not a big deal.  You compliment me all the time”
Her face is burning, and the smile that threatens to take over her face is beginning to win.
“Shut up, that’s totally different,” He murmurs, and moves closer to her when she tries to shrink away out of embarrassment.  “You called me your hot roommate.  And apparently you’re getting bothered over a towel? Is me being shirtless that upsetting?”
“I’m not doing this with you right now-”
“Oh no, come on, you have to now,” Yuuta pleads, his voice still that annoyingly sexy teasing tone.  (y/n) turns to push her face into her pillow, and he wiggles closer again, eager to hear what else she’d had on her mind.  “Come on, what else did you have to complain about?”
“I complained that you’re annoying,” She whines, her voice muffled by the pillow.  Yuuta chuckles.  “And I complained about how you don’t know how much you…” She trails off, and her voice goes impossibly quieter.  “Bother me” She finishes in a mumble to the pillow.
He hears it perfectly clear.
His face feels hot, and there’s a familiar little tingle in his stomach.  But he smirks at her hiding form.
“Well what else, then?” He asks.
(y/n) rolls her head to the side, pressing her cheek back into the pillow as she looks over at him.
“What do you mean?” She asks.
“What else bothers you?” He clarifies his question.
She giggles as she shakes her head at him.
“No way”
“Yes way,” Yuuta laughs back at her.  “Come on, tell me”
“No!” She protests again in a hiss.  “Am I not embarrassed enough already? I’m taking this to my grave”
“No you’re not,” Yuuta scoffs.  “Come on, you tell me everything, so, tell me”
She supposed he had a point.  A dumb one, but a point nonetheless.  Clearly at some point or another she was bound to indulge him on this.  Even though she couldn’t explain it, she was always driven to share every part of herself with Yuuta.  Even when it was embarrassing.  Even when it was intimate.
(y/n) may have told the Zen’in twins about the rushing-out-of-the-shower thing, but that hadn’t meant there weren’t other instances where her mind crossed the platonic boundary between her revolving thoughts of Yuuta.  That was just the first occurrence she assumed they could understand.
She huffs.
“Sometimes you wear your tee shirts a size too small,” She mumbles.
Yuuta wants to tease her, maybe crack a joke, but he keeps his mouth shut as she gives in.  He didn’t want to miss a single word.  He had to pay close attention so he knew exactly how to get under her skin in all the right ways.  Hearing that she found him hot was one thing, he could pass it off as a joke or an empty compliment.  Hearing that there were specific things that he did that made her sexually frustrated? He couldn’t mess this up for himself.
“And when you drive me places, you do that thing with your arm when you back the car up” She adds.
“What do you mean?” He questions that one with a furrowed brow.
“You know,” She mumbles, weakly lifting her arm to demonstrate, bending it behind her head.  He shakes his head, not understanding in the slightest.  “You always grab the back of my seat and look over your shoulder,” She tries to put it into words.  “And then, it’s just, like-” The words fail her again as she continues the motion with her arm.  Yuuta thinks he gets what she’s trying to explain, but he has no idea that such a mundane action was a bother for her.
“That turns you on?” He tries not to laugh, but then (y/n’s) face goes red and she’s trying to deny it.
“I didn’t say that!” She squeaks out.  “I just, you know, forget that I’m not supposed to… thinkaboutyoulikethat” She rushes the confession out as fast as she can.
“I… think that’s pretty normal,” Yuuta admits quietly.  (y/n) blinks wide eyes at him, waiting for him to continue.  “And if anything, I’m flattered,” He adds with a grin.
“Yeah, yeah,” (y/n) huffs, before wiggling closer, pressing her forehead into his chest before sighing, sleepiness overcoming her.  “Not a word of this to anyone else” She mutters.
Yuuta mock whines as he wraps an arm around her back, tucking her closer against him.  He pretends not to notice when her nose nuzzles into his tee shirt, in the middle of his chest.  He pretends not to notice when her hand slips across his abdomen and over his waist.
“I think about you too,” He murmurs, resting his chin on top of her head.  Her fingers twitch on his hip, almost tickling him.  He tries not to wiggle, he doesn’t want her to think he’s uncomfortable.  “For the record”
“You do?” She mumbles, half asleep already, but too curious about what he meant by that.
“Mhm” He hums, his hand trailing down her spine and then back up again, the gentle touch of his fingers warming her up, making her melt further into him.
“Like when?” She asks, and when he doesn’t reply right away, she lets out a sigh.  “Come on, I told you!” She whined.  “Now you have to tell me some embarrassing stuff, too”
“Alright, that’s fair,” Yuuta agreed.  “I like when you wear that dress” He says.  (y/n) beams against his chest.
“That one?” She mumbles, weakly gesturing to the pool of fabric on his floor.  He nods back at her.
“Mhm,” He confirms quietly.  “I know it’s your favorite.  It should be” He smiles to himself.  (y/n) giggles quietly, the soft vibrations hitting his chest and warming his skin.
“Tell me more” She mumbles, the words barely audible.  Yuuta knows that she’s going to pass out soon.  Her breathing was beginning to slow, and her chest rose and fell in steady movements.  Surely he could leave this conversation as it is and she’d be fast asleep in a minute or two anyhow.
“Well,” He sighs out the word, as if he had to pick his own brain to come up with more examples, as if every little thing she did wasn’t enough to catch his eye on it’s own.  “Maybe things are a lil’ different now, hm?” He hums.
(y/n) doesn’t respond.  For a second, he thinks maybe she’s finally fallen asleep, but just as he contemplates checking, her head moves in a small nod.  A silent, barely-there admission.
“I like the way you kiss,” He says, and she can hear the smile in his voice, the cheeky but all-too shy little grin that she’s grown so accustomed to.  She gives him another giggle, a breathless little laugh that makes her shoulders shake and her nose press into the collar of his shirt.  “It’s true, I mean it,” Yuuta said, a quiet laugh escaping him as well.  Partially due to her laughter infecting him, partially out of the relief that maybe talking about what happened would help them both to not feel so weird about it now.  “You’re a good kisser, you should be proud.  I for one feel honored”
He’s teasing, she knows that, but her face still feels warm as she keeps it tucked away in his chest, hoping that her heart wasn’t beating so rapidly that he could hear it in the quiet room.
“You’re a good kisser, too,” Her words are more slurred than before, Yuuta can practically hear her losing consciousness as she drifts off.  “Really good kisser” She adds under her breath.
And then her head feels a little heavier on his chest, and Yuuta doesn’t have to check to know she’s asleep in his arms.  He’s exhausted and he knows he should close his eyes and try to sleep, too.  But it feels too nice to hold her close, so he hangs onto consciousness for as long as he can.
Before his body’s tiredness finally takes over, he brushes his lips over the crown of her head, and settles into his pillow with his arms securely wrapped around her, making sure that she stays close while he sleeps.

I have maybe a bit of a morbid ask-
What would happen if Angel had a medical emergency? Like a broken leg, concussion or even a heart attack, how would they or the toys go about getting help?
if it were really serious, y/n would probably have poppy call 911 (since she's the one most comfortable talking on the phone, kissy doesn't speak, and they know dogday won't leave their side), and then tell the toys to go hide in the barn when the ambulance gets there.
dogday has to physically stop himself from trying to go with y/n. he can't stand when he can't help them, but if their ailment is serious enough to require a hospital, then there's nothing he can do.
y/n calls the toys from the hospital (with a preset time so that they know it's y/n) to check in. dogday sprints for the phone when that call comes through. he's worried sick and upset that he can't be at his angel's side through their injury.
luckily, i think y/n is pretty tough. they survived playtime co, after all.

Phione is a small water Pokemon
Phione Akari occasionally sprays around water when she’s upset.
She also wants Ingo to take care of himself more while they search for her body.
Fun idea: whenever Akari believes that Ingo needs a hydration break and drink something she tries to spray some water in his face; specifically in his mouth.
Would be unfortunate if it’s sea water but it would be a nice gesture and obvious enough for Ingo to realize the suggestion.
Also we talked about how Phione constantly has to be on alert because of bird Pokemon but I can see the sun also becoming a bit of a problem for her too. There are a lot of occasions where she hides under Ingos hat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All it takes is once or twice, and Ingo never forgets to take a water break again; he’s not very fond of the reminders at all! (The saltwater-in-the-mouth incident would probably be what did it haha)
And yes!! Akari has lots of places to hide both from the hot sun and pesky bird pokemon — under Ingo’s hat, his coat collar or pockets, or sometimes even his own hands.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though sometimes if he’s holding her, he isn’t always aware of where she’s ended up hiding by the end of these incidents.

anyways... the burbs are like... soo tragic in a heterosexual suburban way. like i don't think john's a bad husband at all i think he's even down to be malewife of all time and all that i think it's more like. he's completely ignorant to the fact that jen genuinely doesn't like being a nuclear family fashion mom and a lot of it is her own internalized problems because she wanted to grow up and be a sports star... but her own family pushed her against that and john's content to not pry or push her into following her actual dream. like. he's genuinely invested in living in the suburbs with the garden and all that stuff and just assumes that because jen isn't outrageously openly upset with it, she's happy with it. because he's kinda dumb in that straight guy way yk. i think their issues run a lot deeper than any kind of simple dislike like they simply couldn't make it work and both be happy even if they were honest.
but jen is Not happy and she's probably pissed that she's not happy because she's supposed to be happy. got husband and a happy kid and a house in the suburbs she is not supposed to be soooo sad. and her brother Does have what she wanted but takes it for granted it's sooooo sick

Sweet Secret (Levi Ackerman x Reader)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Levi Ackerman x F! Reader CEO Levi Ackerman coming in hot. I've been wanting to write a CEO Levi/Sugar daddy Levi story for a hot minute. Enjoy! Summary: You needed a job. Ackerman Inc was hiring for an in house assistant for none other than the CEO: Levi Ackerman. He's known to be essentially the worst to work with, you decide to take the job and take on the challenge that is Levi Ackerman. Will your relationship remain professional, or will their be monetary value added to the stakes? Or possibly even... love? ao3 Chapter Five: Arrangement
The work day is finally over and you could not be more relieved to go home. Levi piled on work for you already - you’ve been scheduling meetings for him all day while also making sure the office is clean.
Not to mention he’s been avoiding you like the plague.
You packed up your tote, gently sliding your laptop in the bag. When you look up you see Levi exiting his office, locking the door behind him.
For the first time in hours, he looked at you. He looks… exhausted. You notice the dark circles under his eyes as he starts walking toward you.
Your eyes locked with his and time felt like it stopped. You were almost consumed by the way he looked at you.
You cleared your throat to break the tension - although you wanted to throw yourself on him and let him devour your body.
“Let’s go.” He said lowly as he gripped his briefcase. You nod and follow him, careful not to walk next to him.
Silence.
That was all you heard the entire night.
Silence.
You can’t help but wonder if you did something wrong. Maybe Levi regrets giving you a chance at a job. After all, you’re just a broke woman who was desperate for a job.
You let out a deep sigh that you felt like you were holding in for hours. Just then, your phone pings with a message from your sister.
> How was your first day?!
It was regular. A lot of work but my coworkers seem nice. <
> I’m so happy for you! I’m going out tonight, just watch my location for me please!
Lex… please be careful. <
Your sister always worried you when she went out. She has a tendency to drink until she can’t see anymore. She’s 18, so you don’t blame her, but she’s already mixing herself in the wrong crowd.
She’s legally an adult now. Nothing more you can do.
You turn your phone’s volume up in case Alexis calls you, but you fall asleep praying that that call never comes.
______________________________
The next week you feel like you’re walking on eggshells around Levi, but you’re getting work done and you haven’t seemed to upset him just yet. Even Erwin is impressed with what you’ve done so far.
“We’re gonna have to get you to master Levi’s cup of tea.” Erwin joked as he took a sip of his coffee. “He’s quite particular.”
“Don’t I know it.” You laugh as you finish replenishing the break room with supplies. “I don’t even dare try to make it for him. He would probably spit it right out.”
You can’t help but feel like you’re missing Levi. The conversations you’re having with him are very one sided, and always about work. It’s not the same Levi you spent time with. It’s the Levi that everyone else sees.
You haven’t cooked together all week. He hasn’t brought you tea since the first day. Once you arrive home, it’s almost like you don’t exist. He sometimes needs you to call someone at home, but he’ll text you the instructions.
__________________________
You’re doing you’re daily cleaning at the house when you hear Levi’s footsteps.
“Oi, come here.” Levi called for you in the kitchen.
“Yes Levi?” You stand next to him, not sure what he’s going to say next.
“I have something I want to run by you, and you can say no.”
“Okay…” You raise an eyebrow, placing your hands on the counter.
“How would you feel about… an arrangement between you and I?”
“Excuse me?”
“An… arrangement.”
“I heard what you said.” Your eyes wander to his. “You have to be more specific. What kind of arrangement?”
“One where I give you money and you do things with me.”
“I already work for you.”
“No.” Levi shakes his head. “I don’t mean that. I mean, you come with me to events, vacations, and I give you money. Or an… allowance.”
“I’m confused. You already pay me-“
“To be my assistant, yes.” Levi plants his hands on the counter, looking down at his fingertips. “You and I get along quite well I think.”
“I would say so.”
“I don’t usually like anyone. And I like you.” Levi peers through his jet black locks to look at you. “I’m offering money for you spending time with me.”
You’re stunned. This man really thinks you’re a charity case. The last thing you want from Levi is his money just because you’re broke.
“I don’t want your money, Levi.”
“I know you send your sister money.” Levi crossed his arms over his chest. “And I know you want to experience all that life has to offer. I can give that to you, no emotions attached.”
“I’m not a tax write off, Levi. You can’t help me to make yourself feel better.”
“I’m not doing this for me. Well, I kind of am. I’ve done this arrangement before with women but they were only interested in the money. We could never talk - I don’t think they ever even stepped foot in my house.”
You look at Levi who looks… vulnerable. You want to hug him so tightly it feels like you’re glued to him.
“You’ve… done this before?”
“Yeah. I’m not good at connecting with people.”
“So you’ve paid for se-“
“If we had sex, it was consensual and I did not pay for it.” Levi tilted his head to the side. “It was a bonus.”
You nod your head, thinking about what this ‘arrangement’ entails. You’re already his assistant, and already living in his house.
It would be nice to go on vacation once in a while. You’ve never actually been on vacation before. The farthest you’ve gone was a dirty beach 30 minutes from your house that your parents dragged you to just so they could get their fix.
“If I agree to this, we need to make rules.” You finally speak.
“Fire away.” Levi’s voice sounds like velvet.
This man knows exactly what he’s doing.
“No markings. Where anyone can see, at least.”
You peaked Levi’s interest at the words ‘where anyone can see’. His eyebrows raised as he took a mental note of your rule.
“Go on.” Levi tapped the counter with his fingertips.
“I do not want special treatment at work. I would rather it be… our little secret.”
“Okay, anything else?”
“I want to sleep in my own bed. So no sharing beds even after we…”
“Fuck?”
“Levi.” You roll your eyes. “IF we do.”
You know damn well that if is more like a when.
“Do you have any rules you would like to present to the court today?” You press your chin to the palm of your hand, leaning over the counter.
“No affection outside of bedroom activities. This is a transaction almost - no emotions. Don’t expect me to kiss you good morning or any of that shit.”
“Okay. Can I date other people or would you rather me not?”
Your question seemed to have stumped Levi. He searched your face for an answer because he couldn’t come up with one himself.
“For now, if you find someone you want to pursue, tell me. If you’re sleeping with someone else I would rather you not sleep with me also.”
You nod as you hold your hand out. “So we have a deal?”
Levi chuckles only for a second before shaking your hand. “Deal.”
As Levi turns around, you think about what you just agreed to. Levi Ackerman is not only your boss, but he’s also your sugar daddy. Ymir would be so proud of you right now, while Historia would be silently judging.
You can’t lie, you’ve thought about pressing your lips to Levi’s pillow soft ones – exploring every inch of his body. His callused hands massaging your thighs while sneaking in squeezes to your ass.
Your eyes linger to Levi’s back once again, observing the way his muscles are moving under his black t-shirt. Your eyes then went to his neck, then his undercut that’s begging to be touched.
To distract yourself from the heat that’s pooling in your core, you text Ymir.
> Ymir.
Don’t start off a conversation like that. What’s up? <
> My boss is now also my sugar daddy.
INCOMING CALL FROM YMIR
You almost run to your room and close the door behind you.
“Bitch I text you for a reason!!” You half whisper.
“You cannot just text me that Levi Ackerman is now your sugar daddy and not expect me to call you! I didn’t think you had it in you kid!”
“We just discussed it. He brought it up.”
“That’s probably why he was so quiet with you this week.” Ymir says as she pulls the phone between her ear and shoulder. “He wanted to make sure that he knew what he wanted and what he wanted to say to you.”
“I’m nervous, Ymir.”
“Girl you are living the DREAM! I know I like women but Levi is a handsome ass man. And you don’t have to worry about him feeling some type of way about anything because there are no emotions!”
You don’t know if that’s a blessing or a curse.
You hear Levi’s footsteps going up the stairs, making your heart race.
“I gotta go.”
“Tell me how big his di-“ You hang up, throwing your phone on your bed. You pretend to be folding your laundry when you hear a knock.
“Come in.”
“Hey, just wanted to make sure you’re okay with everything.” Levi leaned against the doorframe. “I know it was out of the blue. Well, for you at least.”
“I’m okay. I’m okay with it. I’m okay with this.” You nod, finally looking at Levi. His eyes are already on you when your gazes meet. Your heart starts to beat a bit faster.
In the back of your mind you still wonder if this is just to fuel Levi’s ego. You don’t know this man. You don’t know his motives.
Levi silently walks to you, analyzing your face. You watch his grey eyes linger on your skin, as if he’s exploring new territory. His hand reaches to your hair and pushes it behind your ear softly, sending chills down your spine.
You peer through your lashes, getting lost in Levi’s eyes. You could stare at him for hours without getting bored.
This no affection thing might be your downfall.

Toji is your daughters dad. You two had separated a while ago due to conflicting schedules in your work and you feeling that he wasn’t listening to you enough. Both of you were on very good terms even talking without the conversation being about your child. Imagine your surprise when you both get called to your child’s school saying you need to come to the principals office asap.
Reader is a tattoo artist!
You were surprised when your assistant said you had a call in the middle of my tattoo. You brought the phone up to your ear as you continued to work on your client. “can I help you?”
Toji’s voice crackled over the phone* “Oh um, hey..” It was clearly hard for him to find it in him to talk to you, and he sounded like he was forcing himself to talk to you. His tone sounded a bit annoyed like he was forcing himself to talk to you.
“Jiji? What’s up, I’m at the shop right now? Did you need something?”
There was a long pause. It was clear he wanted to say something but didn’t quite know how to broach the subject. Finally, he forced the words out of his mouth “There’s something going on with our kid, and I wanted to tell you.”
You stopped my tattoo and your face hardened: “what’s wrong with Lyla? Is she okay? Do I need to leave?”
Toji tried to soften his tone with a laugh, though it didn’t seem to take well. He knew you were probably more than a little upset that something was wrong with Lys, your one and only child. He did his best to be calm and reassuring like he had always been on the phone with you. “No, no no... Lylas fine... But... There’s something going on at school with her that we need to address.”
“Dios Mio, yeah fuck okay im on my way.”
Toji chuckled lightly at your reply knowing it was probably something you had said over and over again, even at home with Lys. He liked this about you, your consistency with certain phrases, it was oddly charming. “Okay, I’ll see you soon.” He quickly replies back to you, his tone sounding a bit sheepish when it came to your quick reply.
You hung up and headed out to my car. Within 15 minutes you arrived at the school. You took off your ink covered hoodie leaving you in just a black tee and black jeans( you can change this). You grabbed your phone and wallet and made your way inside the school.
Inside the principals office was toji sat with his legs crossed staring out the window watching the world go by. When you walked in he looked up and met your gaze. His face quickly softened when he met your eyes. Your beauty always made him weak. You had been the most gorgeous person to exist in his eyes and your looks only seemed to grow exponentially.
“What’s going on?” You asked while walking over Ony was sitting with you guys daughter Lyla in front of the principal. You came behind Lyla and kissed her forehead. “you okay baby?”
Toji eyes widened slightly seeing the ease of your interactions with Lyla. This was something he noticed about you when she was younger, your ease with showing your affection to her was something he had never been able to do so naturally. Your love for her had always been apparent in the way she responded to you and the way you responded back. The principal spoke up interrupting your interaction. “I need you both to sit down.
You nodded and sat in the seat next to Toji. “right so what happened exactly?”
Before the principal could respond Toji interrupted. he was angry and he wanted to say something. It seemed like he was trying to defend Lyla. He was always protective of her, especially with the two of you having divorced and her being left with only one parent for the majority of her life. “Whatever it is that may be going on our daughter is not and will not be at fault and I will not tolerate any attempt to frame her as such. So either tell me right now what exactly is the issue or we’ll be leaving.”
“Toji relax, we Atleast need to know what happened. Please, continue.”
Toji glanced at the principal before looking back at you. He saw the concern in your eyes and knew that he had to let the principal speak. The principal cleared the throat. “Your child has allegedly been seen kissing a male student in the restrooms. It was claimed to have been a few times.”
“Kissing a boy?” You turned your head to face your daughter. “ly is this true?”
Lys looked up from her lap and gave you a nod, a look of embarrassment and shame plastered on her face as if you were the last person she thought she would be admitting this to.
You sighed and turned back around. “Well is there a punishment or anything or can we just take her home?”
The principals face softened when she spoke. She clearly was trying to put Lyla at ease by being the gentlelest she could be with the situation. “Unfortunately, it is against school policy to partake in any acts of... Intimacy or affection here so your daughter will have to have a weeks suspension for her actions.”
“Right, we’ll have a talk with her. I apologize for this mess.”
The principal shrugged slightly while a small, sympathetic smile crossed her face. She gave you both a nod and a brief goodbye before excusing herself to her office. Once she walked out of the room and toji turned to you once more. You could see his anger still slightly lingering beneath the surface, though your gaze seemed to have calmed him down somewhat.
You led Lyla out with toji behind you. Once y’all left you couldn’t help but chuckle, wrapping your arm around Lyla’s shoulder* “so kissing a boy huh?”
Lys felt her heartbeat quicken. She could feel herself slightly overheating as she blushed hard. She looked around you at the ground hoping to avoid your gaze for as long as she could. She was so embarrassed to admit the truth to you.* “Y.. Yeah...” Her voice was barely above a whisper and she was afraid to raise it a decibel for fear you might punish her for what she had done.
“You and this boy dating?”
Lys was so embarrassed by you calling out the truth that her face had only gotten redder. She could feel her heartbeat pounding heavily in her chest, but she couldn’t look away from you to avoid the question. “Y-yeah... His name is Max...” She answered while still gazing at the floor.
“Lyla you have a boyfriend now, you should have told us this is great news! isn’t this great ony, our little girls growing up.” i chuckled as we exited the school.
Lys couldn’t help but feel her lips curl into a wide smile. She was so glad that you had reacted so positively to her revelation, it had been weighing heavily on her mind for a while now how her dating might be taken by you and toji. Though, she was surprised by Tojis lack of participation in the celebration. She had expected him to at least chime in some words of encouragement for her, however, he had remained completely silent through your comment.
“Don’t worry about him I’ll talk to him later.” You whispered to her. “so tell us about this max boy.” You said happily as y’all made you guys way through the parking lot and into your car.
Lys’s expression immediately warmed, she was so thankful that you were willing to let tojis demeanor slide for the good news of her dating. She looked up at you with the excitement of a child and answered the question with glee. “Oh! He’s so handsome, he’s also really sweet and kind. And... He just made me feel really safe and happy.” Lys began blushing again, it was obvious she quite liked him a lot.
“Aww how sweet. How long have you two been secretly dating? I do wish you would have told us though, this is huge news, your first boyfriend. Atleast im hoping.”
*Lys gave you a quick smile when you brought up the subject of it seeming like you were hoping he’d be her first. She laughed and nodded her head to confirm your thought* “Yeah, he’s my first boyfriend... We’ve been secretly dating for about 5 months. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t know how you’d react or if I should have even been dating while in high school.”
“You’re sixteen it’s about time you started dating.” I pulled up to the house and parked the car. “Lyla go ahead in the house im gonna talk to your dad real quick.”
Lys nodded and ran into the house, shutting the door behind her. Once she was gone you and Toji shared a brief moment of silence before toji finally decided to speak to you once more. You could see anger still lingering on his face even though his tone remained calm “I cannot believe you didn’t yell at her for doing this.”
“It was just kissing. It’s not anything serious in my opinion.”
*That comment only served to annoy Onya further. He saw you completely brushing aside the kissing situation as if it were nothing, something he couldn’t understand. He was trying to be calm, really he was, but he found it incredibly hard to do so with the way you felt on the situation* “How can you not care that she was doing this under our noses?”
“She’s sixteen and she was kissing her boyfriend, kissing is just something small. Yes I get she shouldn’t have done it in school and I am upset she hid it but ony you’re not the easiest person to come to with those types of things. I’m just glad she wasnt doing something extreme.
Toji hated hearing what you had to say. It made him feel like he wasn’t a good father and hurt his pride. Your words got a rise out of him, and he was starting to get more and more upset the longer you spoke. “But to keep something like that a secret from the both of us? She’s been sneaking around behind our backs for weeks.”
“Which I can understand you’re upset about. We just need to set boundaries with her about this and her little relationship she has now.”
Toji paused, the words you spoke made him think for a while. He hated that you were right for the most part. You were right, her kissing Max was nowhere near as bad as she could’ve been doing, and setting a clear boundary was a great first step to handling the situation. However, there was still one issue that bugged him in all of this. “Do you not feel a bit betrayed that she would keep something like this from us? I feel as though the both of us aren’t as close to her as I thought.”
“She’s young Jiji and if I remember correctly she’s doing the exact same thing me and you did when we were together at first. All kids hide stuff, don’t take it personally.”
*Your words caught him off guard. The fact that she was doing the exact same thing that you both had done when you were younger was something he hadn't considered. She was a teenager and of course teenagers were going to be a bit secretive with their parents. Your words helped him calm down and not take it so personally. He looked back to you with a more relaxed expression.* “I guess you’re right. I just... I don’t know..."
You rubbed his arm to soothe him. “she’s gonna keep secrets from us but she still does come to us most of the time. She’s just figuring things out as she grows up. That doesn’t mean she won’t need you Jiji. You’re getting in your head.” Even if you weren’t together anymore you still helped toji whenever he struggled mentally. He had a bad past but he was good to you and your daughter. And you was always going to be good to him.
Tojis eyes softened when you rubbed his arm. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, letting out a sigh of relief. You had always been there to support him, even after all this time. He could always appreciate how much you were there for him even after the divorce. The words you spoke to him made him feel better about himself as if he wasn’t as bad a father as he thought he was. He opened his eyes and stared into those pretty brown eyes of yours once more. “Thank you...”
You smiled softly as my gaze met his. “always.”
Maybe he would be able to come around..

Hopelessly Devoted - Chapter 5
-3.8k words. Setting up for some bigger moments!
Previous Chapter
Tumblr media
Esther is the first to wake. She blinks blearily as she feels her cheek rested against a hard surface.
The last thing she remembers is sitting on the couch talking to Lucifer.
She lifts her head and looks down at what she’s sleeping on. Stripes and red and white meet her gaze, and when she looks up, she catches sight of Lucifer underneath her.
They’d clearly shifted at some point during the night. He’s laying mostly on his back, head against the armrest and one arm falling off the couch. Esther is tucked against the back of the couch, one of his arms is trapped under her and snakes around her waist, and one of her legs is tossed over both of his. Her long dress looks like a blanket over him, and you smile at the thought.
One of her hands is around his waist, holding him close to her. Esther lets him go, but doesn’t move her leg as she really has nowhere else to put it. She moves her hand that isn’t trapped under her to move to his chest and rests her head again with a soft sigh.
It feels nice to be close to him like this again. It reminds her of easier times when they’d lay together on their sphere of Venus, brainstorming different ideas for the Earth that was still being planned. All those afternoons spent lazing around and laughing to themselves.
Everything was easier then. There was no Earth, no sin, no evil. Lucifer’s role as Samael was limited because there was no one to truly tempt besides the angels who frowned at his antics. He’d never been serious, but it was his job to make tempt and punish any who should be tempted. He could just be Lucifer, the Seraphim of Creation. The one God bestowed one of his greatest strengths to.
She feels his chest rise and fall under her. She knows his neck will likely hurt when he wakes up, it’s probably already hurting, and she wants to wake up, but she also just wants one moment of this bliss before she has to get up and make him work for forgiveness.
She’s almost ready to give it. Everything he’s already told her felt sincere, and she can’t be mad about Charlie. Well, she can be upset about how Charlie came to be but she can’t be mad about or at Charlie herself. The girl is too sweet, and she reminds Esther of Lucifer in all the best ways.
She almost hates how weak her heart is for this man. Creator forgive her, he could’ve made her heart just a bit stronger if Lucifer’s fall had been in his plans.
“You’re lucky you’re cute,” she mumbles. She looks up at his eyes still closed in blissful sleep and she lifts her head. She tries to move as slowly as possible to not wake him, trying to anchor herself with the arm beneath her. The couch isn’t large and she’s pressed against the back of it to make space for Lucifer, her arm wedged into the space between cushions.
She shifts a bit more, frowning when she accidentally jostles them a bit. She pauses, watching to see if Lucifer will wake. He stirs a bit, sighing deeply for settling back into an even rhythm quickly. Esther lets out her own sigh of relief and continues to move but by bit.
When she’s mostly upright, she shifts the leg bent over Lucifer’s leg until it’s straightened a bit to stretch. She lifts herself a bit on the leg still on the couch, thankful that it’s not also on top of him, and tries to plant her other foot on the floor.
As Esther shifts, almost off the couch now, Lucifer shifts underneath her. The arm that’s been around her waist moves as if to grab her but falls to his abdomen. He hums a bit and his neck turns, and it’s then when his eyes twitch. He groans and tries to stretch a bit. His leg hits her inner thigh since she’s basically hovering over him with one knee holding her up on the couch and one foot on the floor.
Lucifer’s yawn turns into a whine at the pain in his neck and he moves a hand, seemingly reaching for her again, but comes up empty. His frown deepens and her eyes slowly blink open.
It takes a moment for his eyes to focus, and Esther stares down at him almost hoping he’ll fall back asleep.
He blinks a few times, before his eyes widen a bit at the sight of her basically straddling him.
“I’m not complaining but I didn’t think we were that far into this reconciliation,” he says, voice raspy with sleep. Esther blushes a bit at his words and flicks his nose in retaliation.
He whines and reaches his hands to hold his abused nose, all dramatics because she certainly didn’t hit him hard at all, but when he moves his neck the pain turns real and she chuckles a bit at his consequences.
Now that Lucifer is awake, she can get up without worry, and she’s nearly off the couch when she feels something wrap around her waist.
Lucifer’s hands are still at his neck, trying to massage the pain away. She looks down and sees a black tail with a spade shaped tip and red heart in the middle wrapped around her waist.
She looks around and finds no animal, so this must be a new feature of Lucifer’s that’s become a product of his fall.
“This is new,” she says. He opens an eye and looks at her, a smirk on his face despite the discomfort in his neck.
“Like it?”
“It’s cute. I like the heart on it,” she replies. He hums, pleased with himself. “Any other changes?”
“Besides my eyes being yellow and red, and my teeth being razor sharp now? I’ve got horns,” Lucifer replies.
Esther moves so that she’s sitting on the couch again, one leg under her and the other still over Lucifer’s legs. He clearly isn’t going to let go over her right now, and she’s curious.
“Can I see them?”
He looks up at her with furrowed brows.
“Are you just asking about the horns or are you trying to see the whole demonic change?”
“If you’re willing to show the full change, I’d like to see it,” she says.
He stares a bit before sighing. “Too early for that. I’ll show you later when I take you around Pentagram City. I’m sure a sinner will piss me off enough so you’ll get the chance to see it.”
She flicks his nose again. “We’re not going into the city. We’re focusing on the hotel,” she replies.
Lucifer scrunches up his nose. “Au contraire. I talked to Azrael yesterday and we’re already working on a way to get sinners a retrial which will probably involve Cassiel. So jokes on you, until we get those answers, you’re free to do whatever you want.”
He gives her a wide grin and she narrows her eyes at him.
“Then I suppose you can use the time I work with Charlie on other things to work on your dance.”
He looks confused at her reply.
“Sweetheart, we danced last night,” he says.
“Yes, we did. However, we danced together. You did not do a dance first to court me or give me a show of feathers,” she replies.
He chuckles at her words. “Oh, so you’re being literal about this. I wasn’t sure.”
“I told you I wouldn’t make this easy,” Esther says back.
Lucifer grins at her mischievously. “You realize that ducks do that for mating, right? Does that mean a good show of feathers is gonna get me something extra?”
“Don’t get ahead of yourself,” she replies quickly, frowning at him. “Focus on forgiveness first, then you can worry about anything else.”
He wisely keeps his mouth shut, not wanting to push his luck. He knows a few jokes he could make about that, mainly about the implication that something more could happen once he’s forgiven.
It’s nothing they'd ever done before. As much as Lucifer enjoyed making fun of Adam, Charlie’s creation really was the first time he’d done anything with anyone. Eve’s temptation had truly just been convincing her to eat the apple, nothing more than that.
With the exception of his own hand and his imagination, Lucifer was pretty inexperienced, and knowing Esther, she’d never done anything at all.
What a pair they truly were.
“I’d appreciate it if you'd let go of me now. I would like to go to the bathroom,” Esther says. Lucifer relents and retracts his tail, hiding it away again. He moves his legs to allow Esther to easily get up before making himself comfortable on the couch again while he waits.
He’s definitely going to convince Charlie to take Esther out into the city. Not that there’s anything great to see. The sinners plague every corner of the city with their chaos. Few overlords actually keep their areas clean too. It’s genuinely concerning when the cleanest part of the city is Cannibal Town of all places. The cannibals there are quick to eat up anyone who dies on their streets and clean up the remains. The overlord who runs the place makes sure to keep her area nice, according to Charlie.
Maybe a few cannibals would want to join the hotel. Though he doesn’t know if getting them to adjust to proper food would be easy. And considering that Alastor lives here and is a cannibal himself, he knows the man would constantly attempt to destroy their progress.
He hears the bathroom door open again and looks up to see Esther coming out. Her robes are the same, but definitely a fresh new one since the other had been so wrinkled.
“Aren’t you going to get up?” She asks. He gives her a smile and stands, taking a moment to crack his neck and finally get rid of the ache. He quickly creates a portal and beckons her closer.
He holds her hand as they step through it together into his own bedroom.
“Did I have to come with you?” She asks, an eyebrow raised.
“I didn’t make you take my hand. Which means you wanted to spend more time with me too,” he replies cheekily. He snickers to himself as she huffs and he slips into the bathroom for a quick shower.
Esther looks around the room. It’s not as messy as his workshop. There’s a few rubber ducks here and there, but the room isn’t overly decorated. A few circus motifs, which Esther has noted throughout the entire hotel. It didn’t escape her notice that Lucifer dresses like a ringmaster in a circus either. Not what she’d expected of his attire as the king, but Lucifer has always been a showman, she isn’t entirely shocked.
The walls are mostly bare, save for a few pictures. Most of them are of Charlie and different phases of her life. Esther chuckles at her awkward teen phase with the braces and strip of dyed black hair.
Her eyes land on a picture of Charlie, Lilith, and Lucifer. Charlie is sitting in a chair with Lucifer and Lilith on either side of her.
She can’t help but stare at Lilith’s picture. She’s beautiful, no doubt about that. Her violet eyes are sharp and light pink skin is clear. Her hair flows down to the floor and her figure is curvy.
There’s nothing romantic about the painting. It’s a family portrait and Lilith is nowhere near Lucifer, they aren’t even looking at each other. But Esther stares at the image and all she can think is that this is a family portrait. They were a family, happy around each other, while she was alone wishing her partner was anywhere but the arms of another woman.
She faintly hears the bathroom door open but she can’t look away from the portrait.
“Alright, Es, I’m all done! I- oh,” she hears. She tears her eyes away from the portrait to look at Lucifer. His expression has turned a bit sad as he approaches her, and Esther wishes she could say that her expression is any better but she’s never been great at hiding how she feels. It’s why she tends to hide her face with her wings. But her wings aren’t out now so her expression is open for him to see and she hates how it ruins his previously chipper demeanor.
“It’s a lovely painting,” she says. She manages a smile as she looks back at the portrait, this time focusing more on Charlie and Lucifer and forcing herself to keep her eyes away from Lilith.
“I can take it down, if it makes you uncomfortable,” Lucifer replies. Esther quickly shakes her head. That wasn’t an acceptable choice to her.
“They’re family to you, Lucifer. I’d never force you to hide that away for me.”
He frowns at her and looks at the painting. “I wouldn’t call it hiding. It’s not like I don’t have any other pictures of Charlie and I,” he replies.
Esther turns to him with a sad smile. “I know you’re just friends, but Lilith is your family too. It’ll just take some getting used to for me, I suppose. Where is she, by the way? Does she have her own room? I haven’t seen her in any of my visits.”
Lucifer shakes his head. “She’s not here. I’m actually not sure where she is. We haven’t exactly gotten along well for a few decades. Difference in how to raise Charlie and all that. She officially left seven years ago and I haven’t seen her since. She doesn’t even talk to Charlie anymore.”
Esther doesn’t like the happiness she feels that Lilith isn’t in the picture anymore. She doesn’t hate the woman, not knowing what she knows now, but she doesn’t think she can be around her after thousands of years of comparing herself to the woman and wondering what she’d done wrong for Lucifer to seek someone else.
The happiness, however, doesn’t win over the anger that Lilith won’t even contact her own daughter. She understands being upset with Lucifer, truly she does, but to not contact your own daughter who’s innocent in all of this?
“What mother wouldn’t want to see their own child?” she asks herself. She feels Lucifer’s head rest on her shoulder.
“I don’t have one, so I don’t know. And sinners down here are gross but there’s really not many kids here besides the hellborn. Pretty rare to see a child sinner.”
“There are some families of winners,” Esther says, her expression somber. It’s nice that they can be together, but it pains me that a life so young was taken. And the poor mothers that arrive who didn’t survive giving birth. I don’t know how Azrael manages to stay so calm through it. My heart hurts just thinking of it.”
A thought clicks in her head at the mention of mothers.
“Oh,” she exclaims. Lucifer’s head leaves her shoulder to stare at her with wide eyes. “I almost forgot! I must speak with Charlie! She mentioned before that she was concerned about Alastor and I thought of the perfect way to redeem him!”
She grabs Lucifer’s hand and drags him towards the door, ignoring his sputtering.
“That guy?! There’s no way he’s getting redeemed! I have a better chance of going up to Heaven than him! And I’m the devil!!”
Esther hushes him as she drags him towards the lobby where the others are.
“Can we at least have breakfast first?”
She ignores him as she continues on. It doesn’t take long to get to the lobby where the others are bustling around. As soon as Esther catches sight of Charlie, she lets go of Lucifer and rushes over to her.
“Good morning, everyone! Charlie, may I have a word with you in private?”
“Esther! Husk told me you came back last night! It’s so good to see you,” Charlie says, showing her enthusiasm right back. She’s already leading them out of the room when Vaggie looks to Lucifer who shrugs and shakes his head at her.
“I wanted breakfast and to take her out to the city. But noooo, she wants to work on the hotel,” he complains loudly, walking towards the kitchen.
He can’t be too upset that Esther wants to spend time with Charlie, but it feels weird feeling jealous that his daughter is spending more time with Esther than he is.
“So, you and the good lady spent the night together?” Angel Dust says, sliding up to where he stands at the counter, debating what to have. Lucifer cranes his neck up to scowl at it, hating how tall the demon is. Who needs to be 8 feet tall?
“Make a sexual remark about her and see what happens,” he challenges back. All of the spider’s hands come up defensively, a smirk still on his face.
“I didn’t say nothing! Just askin’ a simple question, yeesh,” Angel replies. Lucifer’s eyes narrow at him, not believing it for a second. “Listen, I may know all about sex, believe me! But you and her? That’s different, anybody could see that. And it’s crazy too cuz until Charlie said something, I really thought you and the Queen were married.”
Lucifer makes a face at that. “Hell no. I mean, not that Lilith wasn’t a great person but never that way. Not for me at least. And I wasn’t gonna marry her while still hung up on someone else. Also the paperwork for a divorce? Argh.”
He wouldn’t lie and say he never thought about it, about what it’d be like if he’d let himself lose all hope and maybe had fallen for her. But then he reminds himself that Lilith had never been too keen on romance. Other things, sure. She’d spent enough time down in the Lust Ring hidden away with Ozzie’s help for that but that seemed to have been the extent of it. As far as he was aware, anyway. He never pried too much into her life like that, never cared to, and she never opened up about it. What she did on her own time was her business. After Charlie was born, as long as it didn’t affect Charlie, he didn’t really care.
“I wouldn’t know. I died during a time when being gay was probably the biggest sin anyone could think to commit up there. I knew guys that were perfectly okay with murder but kissin’ another guy? No way!”
Yeah, that’s another thing Lucifer doesn’t like about humans. Of all the things to be man about, they really think his dad is gonna care too much about being gay? There’s bigger things to worry about, like the literal root of evil that Lucifer accidentally allowed on Earth.
“Ah yes, the crazy big believers. Centuries ago they were even worse. Gotta say though, it was kinda funny seeing their faces when they realized that being a shit person did not make them a winner,” Lucifer replied, cackling to himself.
He’d told Husk before that Hell was as much his punishment as it was for sinners and he meant it. Lucifer has always hated the sinners, but he will admit that there’s a simple joy in seeing the terror on their faces when they realize their attempts to make themselves look better while being horrible to others in the name of his Father did, in fact, lead to the damnation they’d threatened others with.
Not that he interacted with sinners much. But the few times he has, it’s been an interesting experience. It’s even best when they’re freshly descended into Hell.
Angel Dust laughs at his words and Lucifer gets back to making some breakfast for himself and Esther. He knows Charlie already ate because she’s an early riser and he doesn’t care too much to focus on the others. They can fend for themselves unless Charlie asks him to make more. He can hear them approaching, Charlie practically hopping with each step as she drags Esther back over. Neither of them mention what they’d been talking about, but both of them look happy so Lucifer won’t pry.
It warms his heart too much to see his two favorite people getting along.
He sets Esther’s plate in front of her with some coffee and sits across from her. Charlie declines any food, having eaten earlier with Vaggie, but she sits with them at the table with Vaggie at her side. She stays on Esther’s side of the table too, the two of them clearly comfortable with each other.
They plan their day out as they eat. When he mentions to Charlie that Esther should have a tour of Hell, at least of Pentagram City, she lights up.
Esther tries to decline, but between Lucifer and Charlie’s pleading, she’s forced to concede.
“Oh it’ll be so fun! We can take you to Cannibal Town to meet Rosie and the entertainment district, and-“
“Babe, slow down,” Vaggie says, please a hand on Charlie’s arm. “Let’s take it slow. Heaven is really different from Hell, maybe let’s just stick to a place like Cannibal Town. They’re nicest there.”
“My thoughts exactly!” Lucifer happily agreed.
“Should I be concerned that a place called ‘Cannibal Town,’ is supposedly the nicest place?”
Before Lucifer can explain, he sees the shadows shift in the corner of his eyes. The room fills with a familiar static that usually surrounds a certain staff member.
“Not at all dear! In fact, I’d be happy to escort you on this fine day! I just happened to be on my way there. They have my favorite butcher shop. I could give you a proper tour of the place,” Alastor says, announcing his arrival to the room.
Lucifer scowls at him, not trusting him for a single moment, but Charlie lights up at the idea. It’s likely because he’s the one that introduced her to the place.
“That’s a great idea!”
“Uh, hell no! That’s a terrible idea!”
Esther stays quiet during the exchange. She’s already caught on to Lucifer’s hatred of Alastor, but she also wants to know the Radio Demon more, to see if her plan could actually work.
“Well, why not make a day of it? Each resident can show off their favorite place in the city,” she offers. It seems like the best way to ensure that no resident is left out, but also guarantee that Lucifer doesn’t have to deal with Alastor so closely.
When she looks at him, the scowl on his face contrasting the sparkle in Charlie’s eyes tells her that there’s little chance of making both of them happy in this scenario.

Woo! Another chapter! A day late, I apologize. Last week was very busy and the weekend even busier. Plus, I’m working on two new oneshots. One is the Lucifer x Eve!Reader x Lilith one (prepare for fluff, angst, and smut) as well as another OC story! Haven’t committed to a name for her yet, but she will be Charlie’s younger sister! No romance planned for that one, more so just a family fluff/hurt and comfort story.
In terms of this story, I don’t think there’s any chance that Alastor is getting redeemed. At all. BUT, besides looking through more Christian websites than I ever expected to, I’ve also been through the the Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light wiki and I’ve learned a LOT through that. I wish I could find the original story, but it seemed a lot darker.
But I’ll see you guys next chapter for the adventure through Pentagram City!

"do you plan on making a move tonight?" Kirby asked and you shrugged at her question. "he's totally into you he probably barely even notices me. I'd definitely tear that up if I got the chance though." you said causing the both of you to burst out laughing.
"it got really quiet out there." you joked as you sat on the counter of Jill's kitchen talking to Kirby. you both grabbed your drinks and walked out to the main room to see everyone playing 7 Minutes in Heaven. "now we're talking!" Kirby exclaimed as she pulled you to sit in the circle. "Uh I don't know if I should play." you tried to fight her but she glared at you. "you are playing you prude." she joked causing you and the rest of the group to laugh. "okay jills turn." Robbie said, passing her the bottle.
7 minutes later Jill and Trevor walked back into the room, Jill looking upset and Trevor embarrassed causing you to giggle. he definitely got a lecture in that closet. "okay my turn!" you exclaimed snatching the bottle. "please never make me do that again... Who even invited him??" Jill said, sitting back down next to Charlie. you spun the bottle hoping it would land on him. you'd been fantasizing about Charlie for months but just didn't know how to approach him. you were also sure he was interested in Kirby so you never made a move.
sure enough, it landed on him and you reached for his hand and led him to the closet while everyone giggled and teased him. you blushed though you tried to keep it cool and collected. you were screaming inside. you finally got your hands on him.
you walked him into the closet and closed the door. "uh I've never.." he began but you interrupted him. "it's okay Charlie we don't have to do anything you don't want to do." you told him but he stayed quiet, eyeing your lips, glancing at your cleavage. "Do you want to kiss me, Charlie?" you asked. he nodded but it wasn't enough. "use your words." you pulled him closer and pressed up to him. "I do. I want to kiss you." he said, quietly almost mumbling and something about it made your skin tingle. he wrapped his hands around you and you pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.
when you pulled away you could see the tent pitched in his pants. "that's so cute." you cooed as you palmed him gently, causing him to quietly gasp. "Do you wanna touch me? you can touch me wherever you want char." you told him, kissing him again and feeling his hands press to your tits. you moaned quietly into each other's lips. "is that okay?" he asked, whispering. "yes baby you're doing so good." you told him, reaching into his jeans and lightly stroking him and his body tensed.
"its okay you're safe. you have no idea how long i've wanted to get my hands on you." you told him. he blushed. "you fantasize about me?" he asked in a low whisper as you got on your knees. "mhm" you hummed as you unbuttoned his jeans and pulled out his cock. "oh uh-" he stammered, his hands waving around in confusion.
"put your hands on my face." you told him as you guided him. you licked his tip and hooked your tongue under his hood causing him to throw his head back in pleasure. "oh fuck." he moaned out and you immediately put your thumb in his mouth to quiet him. you pull away. "you have to be quiet baby they might hear us. and we have 4 minutes left is that enough for you?" you asked him while you continued to pump him with your free hand.
"yes yes oh fuck yes." he kept his moans quiet. his quiet needy voice soaking you. you couldn't wait to watch him beg for you. "am-am i doing okay?" he asked, pulling away from your thumb. "of course baby you're doing so good for me. you taste so good." you told him and quickly shoved his length into your mouth and bobbed your head. he lightly tugged at your hair, causing you to moan, the vibrations sending him over the edge and he came in your mouth. "fuck Y/N oh god that was so good." he said, hot ropes of cum pouring down your throat.
"you're a virgin but you definitely keep prepared." you laughed. "what? how do you know?" he asked, helping you stand up. "well you were oblivious to what to do but your cum was sweet." you told him as you wiped your mouth and kissed him hard. "times been up for like 2 minutes you dirty dogs." Kirby yelled, banging on the door. charlie and you looked at each other before you giggled and his face flushed.
the both of you walked out and Kirby made a face. "smells like sex in there." she teased, all the boys patting Charlie on the back.
"to many more yeah?"
A/N: this may have been a little rushed but only because my ideas and endings kept leaving my brain and I kept coming up with new ones omg I can't I love yall requesting Charlie, the ideas are endless with him cuz he's basically living a double life
