the way several characters have told ed and stede to "shut up" in some way, shape, or form. but when they're both talking to each other, they absolutely cling to every single word. they can't get enough of each other's stories, or ramblings, or little recounts of their days.

Ed is frequently sick as a kid so he and the Doctor spend a lot of time together in sickbay. They bicker a lot like little boys. :) It is silly silly the Doctor only has one year of age on Ed hahaha. They have just about the same amount of life experience it's beautiful. They probably come to each other to discuss how weird girls are and what Ed managed to shove up his nose this time. The Doctor finds Ed to be one of the least judgmental crew member aboard Voyager and thereby confides in him and is rather unrelenting and whiney; all Ed asks for in return of having his ear is probably some juice and a couple of flavorless crackers when he's hungry.

okay i love the emotionally stupid gay men as much as the next guy (clearly) but man it was actually so refreshing to hear, explicitly in repeatable words!, that a character loves the other romantically and undeniably.

like, i get whats happening when characters dont say it in words, right? its been the way of doing things for years for reasons, but nowadays its mainly 'the character hasnt realized how they feel yet' or 'theyre in denial of how they feel' or 'they cant find it in them to say it out loud yet' and hey, those are all fine! theyre so super fun and add to the drama and story

but holy shit to actually hear stede be like 'the man i love is ed' (paraphrasing) like got damn and in the first season too??

If Alphonse had gotten to properly meet Alfons, I think he'd nickname him Heidi, which Alfons would absolutely hate but be too polite to ask him to stop, other than weakly suggesting other names. Alphonse insists Heidi is cuter so always continues using it (gleefully, innocent faced little shit knows exactly what he's doing)

Okay so they still won’t leave us alone. They’re still in Ted’s tag and just won’t go elsewhere now trying to make something of the mass unfollow Ted did for whatever reason he wanted.
