at this point my weekly appointment with the op manga is just me crying over how much i love dragon that's okay that's cool
#no one gets it my dudes my reread brought my love for that man to stellar levels#he LOVES luffy i want to cry#he really straight up saw baby luffy and knew he'd die for him in a heartbeat#like honestly literally had to remove every trace of luffy being his son bc he knew that if anyone got a hold of luffy#he'd give himself up so fast for him he'd straight up die for him if luffy was ever used against him he knew he#wouldn't even put up a fight are you kidding me I'm so soft on him he must have hated leaving luffy behind so much#and he still loves him so much he kept on going back and checking on luffy enough that both iva and kuma picked up on it you guyyyysssss#he left to keep both himself and luffy safe cause he knew he'd give up his whole life purpose and the whole cause for luffy im in tears#straight up#between him and kuma this backstory is killing me for real I can't deal with soft caring loving dads at all#kuma........ I'm not even touching that or I'll start bawling#for real
