its almost midnight so you know what that means! random thoughts while i unconsciously panick over how tired i’m going to be tomorrow when i have to wake up at six again :D
today im thinking about love languages. more specifically, unconventional love languages that i hc the sides do! from the same people (complete lie but just roll with it) who brought you remus biting people to show affection, we bring you
virgil likes to pat/slap people. just. pat on the head. slap on the face (gently,,,must hit affectionately)
roman loves all love languages, but only in specific contexts. quality time, as long as he is fully aware of how much the other is enjoying it as well as he is (silent quality time is a big nono). physical touch BUT ONLY SOMETIMES!!! and sometimes, ONLY PHYSICAL TOUCH IF YOU DO NOT HUG HIM RIGHT NOW HE WILL CRY
janus squeezes. squeezy hugs. squeezy hand holding. sometimes its feels like hes trying to literally squeeze the life out of you (hes not, but he doesnt really understand his own strength)
is it possible for someone to be touch adverse but also touch starved. because that is logan and roman. ask them rn if they need a hug. god knows they wont tell you themselves-
patton is so gifts of service its like. stupid. nothing even belongs to him anymore. he has no concept of personal belonging. everything that is his is also everyone elses. must,,, gib everything,,,
janus, remus and virgil also headbutt people. just to check up on them. they dont rlly do like, words of affirmation or quality time. they communicate purely on physical touch and gifts sometimes. sometimes they engage in friendly headbutting battles
remus needs to spend all his time with the people he likes. all of it. just be with them all the time. even if its just pure silence, he needs to know somebody is there or else he will explode
oh also they have specific things for different people!!! like remus spends most of his time w/logan bc he’s the only other one who also needs to be around people a lot!! must of the time logan needs it to be quiet, but he still wants someone in the room
vi nd pat exchange many gifts. it started with the cards and now they make each other a bunch of handmade stuff too!!! like patton whittles figurines for virge and virge sews pat stuffed animals.
similarly, janus and patton exchange food. all types. just. gib meal. ily
honestly patton is the only one who rlly tells ppl that he loves them. nobody else rlly likes to say it out loud. it means so much when they do say it tho
virgil and roman obvs do the opposite of words of affirmation. they tell each other that they hate each other so that they know that they love each other.
the reason that logan and roman argue a lot is bc they don’t share love languages rlly. they have like, opposite cycles for needing/hating touch, which leads to some hurt feelings when one of them gets denied. they remedy this by spending at least one full day a week hanging out and doin things together
remus and virgil fight. so often. they wrestle a lot. it means that they’re having a good day
janus is very smoochy. did i mention that. did i mention that that one college projection au by haysgrove made me obsessed with that hc. yeah he’s a kissy boy. the others never really mind, they know it’s just a thing he does (nd he always asks first!!!)

THEATRE ‼️ 💛 💥🔥✨🧡⚡️
#theatre gives me shrimp emotions that are sometimes hard to articulate other than ‘THEATRE ‼️💛💥🔥✨🧡⚡️’ but yeah! theatre! i love it so much!#the other week in the theatre class i’m taking this semester we got in groups and in turn performed a scene from twelfth night#which was super fun! it was the scene where viola and and olivia meet for the first time#and it was really neat to see how each group interpreted it#i was the olivia of my group and i made her really assertive / almost kind of aggressive because i interpreted her as trying to hide her#curiosity about viola beyond a very confident/assertive exterior; but some people played her as openly curious; or super mysterious;#or what have you; and it was so interesting!#the department is currently doing twelfth night (which is why we’re studying it in class) so a few classes later the actors playing olivia#and viola came in and performed the same scene; which was also very unique! it was SO COOL :D#they also talked a bunch about their interpretations of their characters and i got some really interesting insight into the characters that#i hadn’t considered before (for example viola’s actor said that she and the director are throwing around the idea of viola dressing as a#man in order to keep her brother alive; because at that point in time she thinks he’s dead)#and when they were done the costume designer for the same show talked to us about her process and showed us a slideshow of her renderings#+ some other relevant stuff which was super cool as i don’t know very much about costume design in general#i learned so much it was soooo cool :D#AND THEN today i saw the production of firebringer i’m working on which was also so cool but i think i’ll make a separate post about that#once i can gather my thoughts#but yeah! Okay Iceland is trying to leave the house in a super slutty outfit.
Think like a completely mesh t-shirt, a choker, and booty shorts. And throw in some amazingly edgy makeup.
How do you headcannon each of the Nordics react?
Do they let him leave like that?
Do they love that he’s expressing himself?
Does Norway try to give him the “I’m not letting you leave the house dressed like that” talk?
 Does he try to fight back?
The mental image I have for this is hilarious I wish I could draw good enough to show you! but since I can't plase imagine Ice in a slutty e girl emo techwear kind of outfit, trying to seak out of the Nordics’ house (where he stays for some unrelated reason):
Finland spots him from the living room and they stare at each other for a moment, before Fin does that locking his mouth and throwing the key away gesture followed by a thumbs up to the outfit and make up and a wink at Ice who exhales with relief and motions a quick "thank you" at Fin before he continues his way to the front door. He’s the caring kind of parental figure, but at the same time he knows that Ice is capable of taking care of himself (which Iceland is forever grateful for even if he doesn’t show it all the time). So, why not let that boy have some fun?
If he was alone, Sweden would maybe stop Ice or AT LEAST ask him about the outfit or where he’s headed too. If he approves of the outfit or not - I don’t know and I don’t think he would mention it. He just wants to know where any of his kids (if you can Ice even call that) are going to and how and when they’re coming back home. It’s not about being controlling or mistrusting for him, he just takes the father role he plays for Ice (and sometimes all the Nordics rip) serious and it gives him security to know about their whereabouts. But he already saw Finland giving Iceland the sign of approval, and doesn’t interfere with that.
Norway is the one who catches Iceland right at the door and basically pulls him back inside at the collar of his very fragile shirt. He’s also the one Ice had to be wary of, cause he knows the others usually don’t take that much of an interest in his private life. Well, Denmark sometimes does.. but back to Norway. The problem with Norway is that he WANTS to give Iceland the talk you mentioned above and he HATES the very little choice of clothes, BUT he’s nothing better. Probably worse. And Iceland knows. Therefore he ends up giving him the glare of disapproval and forces at least a jacket onto Iceland (that will be off again in no time but still) while doing Sweden’s job of telling him not to come home to late, to call if anything happens and to please use protection when he [*insert Iceland blushing and gesturing wildly to make Norway shut up*].
That is until Denmark shows up in the hallway to check out what Iceland is grumbling about. Ice should be used to the embarrassement of Denmark complimenting his outfit in completely outdated terms ("You look so hip! Totally rad, Icey!") but he still wishes Norway would just ground him on the spot to save him from Denmark now offering, no insisting, on joining Ice and taking him to wherever he is headed. It's not that he doesn't appreciate the interest or a free ride, but UGH which kid teen immortal being with the body of a teenager wants their EMBARRASSING uncle to join them when they tried to sneak out of the house unnoticed??
In conclusion: rip Iceland. They support him as good as they can, even if it's not what Ice wants most of the time, but he's grateful for his family and even if he complains sometimes, he wouldn't have it any other way cause it only shows they care about him. Also none of the others dares to mention it, but they all know he got that slutty streak from Norway. 😘

What? Pfffft. Of course I do. Just basic d&d stuff that I definitely know by now.
#i have one friend who's really into d&d#he's the one who's always dm because it's just us three and he's the only one who know anything about d&d#well he's kinda dm and a player at the same time#he's basically just god in our games but it makes him happy so i'm cool with it#anyway he always figures everything out and does all the math and is the only one who understands the character sheets we have#so i even though i've played d&d i still have absolutely no clue how it works. but it's fun so imma keep playing anyway#i think it's actually more fun to not know what's in store for us. as if even the characters are undereducated about the world they live in#and makes it more surprising when stuff happens that we don't predict because.#well i guess the best example was when we got attacked by a rug of smothering (is that what it's called?)#and i was genuinely as surprised as my character was.#meanwhile most d&d players probably know to be careful around suspicious rugs and chests and perfectly smooth square hallways#that was also the time we got attacked by gelatinous slimes!! fun.#also the dm/player has this one pet who only exists to be cute. but it's faster than my character (halfling) so i ride on it in emergencies#i'm rambling now but the point is. i don't know much about the game but i think the way we play it is pretty fun anyway.
