TLDR: Kalim is so understanding kind it hurts

Kalim Al Asim is actually the best person ever because oh my god the way he told Deuce that he sees someone trying to write with their non dominant hand and then yelling oh I’m so bad at writing just hits so close to home as someone with adhd and autism. I felt lazy and stupid and like a mistake for years and then was told I’m not different and then finally I was told I was. He’s saying that it’s not that Deuce isn’t trying hard enough or is stupid but the way he’s trying to do it wasn’t meant for him.

It’s so important to acknowledge that some people can’t do some things in certain ways but that it’s okay and doesn’t make anyone less of a person. Also he states he struggles with school work and seems to be quite forgetful and the others around him are not always necessarily nice about it. So he’s partially extending kindness not always afforded to him. His issues seem to either be insulted or ignored/sugarcoated in his life. God I love him sorry for rambling sudhdhskdkfhdj
