tbh the same way dark doesn't really bother to let himself be loved is the same way he doesn't rlly bother to try to live. its only particularly relevant around specific muses or in verses like fgo wherein he and daisuke don't have to worry about keeping the whole phantom thief/identity thing a secret, but dark usually relinquishes control of the body to the niwa very easily outside of any instances of a heist (or is flat out sleeping and not present,) even when it's his own appearance. dark says himself that his only specializations are 'treasure and women' and while it's played for gags in the moment it really is the truth. he doesn't really Do anything outside from steal and entertain himself with flirting, because in most cases he pretty much Can't do anything outside of that. he recognizes himself as someone (something) that's much more a literal and metaphorical concept before it's any legitimate individual, and likewise he's mostly taken a passive, back-seat approach to coexisting with the niwa. the real q then is how much of it all comes from his own inherent apathy (it's extremely hard to capture his interest sometimes, 99% of aspects of 'human' life bore him,) or if it's simply learned helplessness due to the fact that he's been attached to the niwa for so long already.

#i feel like this can be clearer. tldr dark isn't rlly pining for an ordinary human life or anything.#he Does want his own form he does want his own body to do what he wants #but he's already so removed from any possibility #to imagine anything outside of it is weird for him #he has no friends no family he's technically never had a childhood. he doesn't rlly have the space for hobbies #all he do is tell lie and steal #*･ﾟ⊰ 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒. ⊱ ✦ › OUT.

So uh... Who da hecc is Adder? Welp Adder was a God OC I made for @stridesthroughashes on screb for their birfday. (But they were on a different acc during that time BUT WE DONT TALK ABOUT THAT-)

Slight Origin Story?

Adder was originally just a college student in a rich family, despite this he wasnt rlly.. stable.. Always attacking others when being told what to do thus is often was called a spoiled brat by the other students in the campus. He did have one friend though, his was Hugo, a boy who he knew since childhood.

But then... a certain incident to happen... While one day, there was a campus party & smtn just snapped in Adder, this of course was from the pressure of his father who rlly gave no friks for him at all.. Adder to RAMPAGE & kill any known target that was "in his way" but then he was shot.. by Hugo? His friend! But why? Bcs of what Adder did what was the thing that trigger Hugo to kill him...

Adder was then reborn as a Sinner in Wrath, despite being the first level it was very much a warzone there, despite that he actually enjoyed killing ppl... As it was a way he can FINALLY take out HIS ANGER on the ones who wronged him.. Maybe is that what Mom wanted?

Years later he rose up the ranks, essentially becoming a tyrant till he went into the rank... of a God, who needed to be redeemed when you're now a God? He didn't, and he now had what HE wanted... To be in control.. No more being told what to do by some puny mortals or "peasants". His kingdom grew extensively, becoming bigger & bigger. But since it "was" still TECHNICALLY a part of Wrath, he took some of its culture & gave it his own twist..

And this is how Adder came to be! (And yeh I kinda changed his origins a bit bcs him dying in Highskool felt weird & I feel very iffy with that tbh)

Give me a rundown of all the mother kids i only rlly know lucas

Ninten - Asthmatic athlete, distant father, two younger sisters, technically the nephew of a psychic cat alien, looks a lot like Ness, one of his most treasured possessions is a penguin plushie

Ana - Powerful psychic, Christian, lives in a town where it is always snowing

Lloyd - Special interest in explosives, non-psychic, bullied at school, father calls him a weakling, can drive a tank apparently

Ness - Canonically fat, loves his mom and is prone to homesickness, younger sister who gets a part-time job at age 10, loves biking and baseball, also has a distant father who at least seems nicer than Ninten's, had his soul transplanted into a robot body to be sent back in time

Paula - Apparently gets constant media attention for her psychic abilities, lives at a preschool run by her parents and is great with kids, friends with an unkempt middle-aged man who bites people (he actually dies trying to rescue her halfway through the game), is kidnapped by a cult that worships the color blue, is kidnapped again later by a politician, probably acts "proper" in front of her parents but lets loose around her friends

Jeff - Non-psychic of the Mother 2 gang, likes to build things, has a canonically gay roommate at the boarding school he lives in, father is a scientist who never visits him (doesn't see him for like. 10 years at least), Br*tish coded, a bit clumsy and unsure of himself at first

Puu - The oldest of the Mother 2 gang (so about 14 maybe?), Prince of a floating kingdom, pretty stoic, first thing he does in the game is meditate on a mountain where he feels his arms and legs get torn off, eyes poked out, ears sliced off and mind taken

Lucas - Somewhat timid at first, witnesses his mother die at age 10, the next day his older twin brother Claus runs off, his father spends the next 3 years looking for Claus so Lucas is left alone with his dog while the village he grew up in is basically being colonized around him, easily able to make friends with animals, loves omelettes, definitely has survivor's guilt and PTSD, goes on a bad shrooms trip, forms a sort of found family with a lesbian princess and disabled thief/occasional bass player, really needs a break

Claus - Lucas' older twin brother, also witnessed his mother's death, ran off to avenge her and ended up almost dying, turned into brainwashed cyborg soldier for fascist army, also likes omelettes

Porky - Ness' next door neighbor and childhood best friend, abusive parents, was gradually corrupted by an evil statue as well as Giygas (Ninten's alien cat uncle, now a shapeless abomination), after Giygas' defeat he traveled across time and space and amassed an army to take over the future, somehow became immortal, kidnapped Jeff's dad just after he was ready to start bonding with his son, then made him experiment on animals (and Claus)
