i just can't get over the fact that qrow has a semblance that makes him keep his distance, especially from his family, and raven has a semblance that allows her to go straight to her brother whenever she wants.

like. fuck. y'all can't convince me being around qrow wasn't a safe place for raven when they were kids; her semblance is excellent for getting out of a tough spot and i bet there were a lot of those living with bandits, who wouldn't dare go near qrow because he's """cursed"""—being with qrow was the safest place on remnant for raven, no matter how much qrow thought it was the least.

My hc is.. Recuperacoons are mainly for very very young trolls?? like basically when they're newborn to 5~8 years old? It's not something that stays in someone's home/hive forever and that it's a lil weird to see one past that point.. I imagine it's mainly for development + for lusus to know the grub/kid they're watching is actually asleep... Once you're past that age. Beds are expected to be what you have and trolls can sleep in them! It's probably something they prefer too since. That slime kinda gets everywhere..

I do think there is a common problem of trolls to have problems sleeping, varying from restlessness to dayterrors.. though I think it depends on upbringing/trauma/lusus/biological/how easy they were able to adjust from being in their recuperacoons. I also think that there are probably far more cases of insomnia due to the undead that roam during the day.. and while I also hc that most homes/apartments are sound proofed rlly well I do imagine some places aren't and you can basically hear them mainly thru the day so it's a lil hard..

Leopold Roth × Denise Copper

Bennet Copper (1964)

Irina Roth (1965)

Hazel Roth (1968)

Benson Copper (1973)

Ben is the boy his father dreamed of since the first time and after three girls he came. Bennet was supposed to be the name of what they thought would be a boy, but Denise thought it'd sound nice for a girl as well, which is why he gets Benson instead.

His family is quite the normal one, until his sister Irina dies from a strange and never identified disease when Ben is still a toddler, and it kinda messes with his father's head, the girls being older understand the situation, but Ben, being too young and the apple of Leo's eyes, finds himself under the overbearing paranoia of his father.

Needless to say, it does something to Ben's personality and spirit.

There is something wrong. Ben can't tell what.

Sometimes, he wish he had never found out.

tw: death, genre related violence. this is 'the palms verse'. the kids are taken in post 'the sign'. but marta and rory are born before 'bury me deep'. and marta was even stolen for the first two stories. and the kids she adopted she took in from the lab that stole them, whose parents were killed when they were taken from them, sooo. But their powers are: Marta - Time Travel

Rory - Necromancy

Ford - Power Mimicry

Echo - Reality altering

Nephele- Blood bending

Naomi - Intuition (Essentially Cloud's powers, except she can use them LOL)

Like, I love these fools. I feel like Cloud adopted Ford & Echo & Nephele specifically because their powers were dangerous and she knows most people would be weary of them because of that. So she decided she'd take them in. There were other kids from the Aveternity labs who were misplaced, but like, these specific children were the most dangerous. But she honestly just was like "Oh...that's my child now...so...." and it took a long while for her to get them, but she got to go through loopholes due to her parents being who they are and also cause she's the daviau heir, so.
