— his story starts with ;
tw: death
The only surviving child of Minister for Magic MILLICENT BAGNOLD [mother], Harrison is the most beloved kind of celebrity. Good looking, intelligent and a heartbreaking backstory to boot. Millicent explained to him young, that the key to high society was networking. With his mother high in the political world, Harrison saw himself as the equal to children like LUCIUS MALFOY [close friend] despite missing out on a spot in The Sacred Twenty-Eight. It was only when he began attending events as he got older he could see the difference. The Bagnolds weren’t as rich, not as much land or staff - and that was where the lying began. Harrison would lie about his family’s wealth for years to come. “Fake it till you make it.” He told himself in the mirror and his parents tried hard to buy him all that was necessary to keep up with the charade. Harrison wondered if his demanding behaviour in childhood led to his parents preferring his younger brother’s company to his, though as an adult he wouldn’t exactly blame them for it. BOOKER BAGNOLD [sibling] was nothing like Harrison, content to play in the dirt and study insects rather than help his parents work a room.
The way his mother and father split their time and attention between the boys had always been a source of pain to Harrison. Harrison and his brother were the heir and the spare and everyone in their family knew it too. Arriving at Hogwarts, Harrison was sorted into Gryffindor and quickly established himself as the true lion amongst the pussycats, buddying up quickly with fellow alpha KALEB JOHNSON [best friend] who quickly became his best friend. Harrison and Kaleb ruled Gryffindor, but on the Quidditch pitch they had some competition. ELEZAR SMITH [best friend], MICHAEL THOMAS [best friend] and CRISTIANO PARKINSON [best friend], made up the strongest Ravenclaw team for quite some time. What began as a fact finding mission for the boys, ending up in them meeting their best friends and from there on the group were inseparable. They surrounded themselves with just as popular witches, revolving in the same circle as Cristiano’s twin sister ANDRESSA PARKINSON [close friend], ISOLDE CROUCH [close friend], LUCILLE JONES [best friend], her twin sister FLORENCE JONES [close friend] and BERTHA JORKINS [close friend].
Undoubtedly the most popular boys in their year, they were untouchable and enjoyed watching the witches in their year battle for power and fight over them as they did. For Harrison there was only one woman for him. The only person who thought of herself as highly as he did, Lucille was his love, but a chip on his shoulder and a wandering eye would be their downfall. Harrison began seeing CORNELIUS CRABBE [former romantic liaison] in their final year. Like Harrison, Lucille longed to be a member of The Twenty-Eight, but even the beauty of a veela and her impressive political connections couldn’t buy her that. He had no idea how to even explain his on-and-off feelings to her because he didn’t even understand them himself. He found himself approaching a close friend, ANASTASIA SIMINOVA [close friend] about it first. She had been there for him a lot, after her best friend GENEVIEVE AVERY [close friend] began dating Cristiano and the two found common ground in their love for secrecy. His friends all found out when they caught him kissing a member of the Hufflepuff team at a party. Him and Lucille broke up not long afterwards.
Harrison had proven he was not just good at making friends, but adversaries as well. EDRICK SELWYN [rival] was an overly competitive Slytherin he enjoyed challenging, though he would later find such connections would follow him into adulthood. Harrison had been given the position as an Ambassador for the International Confederation of Wizards at quite a young age, many thought because of his mother. Whilst it allowed him to travel, he reported directly to Edrick’s father HARRELSON SELWYN [boss], who had an intense dislike of him, ensuring he had to always be on his game. When his mother became Minister for Magic, a sense of relief washed over Harrison. He had been lying for so long it felt good to be true at last. ROSALINE DAVIS [partner], came along at the right time. A pure-blood from a good name, although a purist one, she had designs on being the future wife of a Minister and escaping her family. His life seemed perfect, except for one thing. His brother. Whilst Harrison worked hard to maintain their image, Booker seemed intent on destroying it, going as far as to critique their own mother’s policy on creatures and accusing the Ministry of foul play.
Halloween night in 1982, a heated argument began between the brothers over a petition that Booker had started to rally for creature rights. It got heated and Harrison disarmed Booker before disappearing into the party with Rosaline. An hour later he was floating in the fountain. It was an unlikely friend who helped him with his grief. LILIAS ROSMERTA [close friend] an old Gryffindor drinking buddy she wanted to carry on Booker’s legacy by furthering his petition. The pieces didn’t add up that Booker was killed by a wolf, he believed someone on the other side of the bench was to blame. Harrison attended The Yule Ball with the intention of networking with suspicious characters and keep an eye out for who might have wanted his brother dead. One moment Harrison was speaking to Lucius and BILLIUS WEASLEY [close friend] then he was watching himself behave in a way much unlike himself. Under the imperius curse he listened helplessly as a voice whispered over and over in his mind that no thoughts of his own could form. Harrison followed JONATHAN REEVES [person of interest] and his girlfriend ROSALIE FLINT [person of interest] into a private room.
He watched as his own hand pointed his wand at Jonathan and cast a killing curse at the man. Rosalie valiantly dived in front of the curse, killing her instantly. Internally Harrison screamed, horrified at the scene he had unwillingly created, the everything went black. When he awoke it was in a strange place with Lilias and her sisters by his side, all staring at him with their wide blue eyes. Harrison had been asleep for quite some time, presumed missing with no memory past the moment he drank his champagne with Lucius and Billius. Harrison has been trying hard to remember what has transpired but no matter how much he works with Lilias his brain has fogged over. Determined to get to the bottom of Booker’s death, Harrison has vowed to try and remember the evening and get back to his life as though nothing has happened in order to slip under the radar and find Booker’s killer. Harrison is convinced his brother’s death is part of a plot to overthrow his mother, though if he just pulled a little bit harder on such a thread he would find a whole world unravel he didn’t even know existed.

Rosaline Davis // Spring Solstice Festival
Rosaline decided on a flowing dress with lots of spring colors for the festival. Finding a dress for the festival was a challenge, she knew how to pick the perfect dress for a night at a ball, but a festival in the alley? That turned out to be much harder than she initially thought. The flowers on her dress remind her of the oil paintings that she adores, while somehow fitting the aesthetic that she wants for the night. The only piece of jewelry that she wears is a dainty necklace with pearls around her neck. She kept her look rather natural, figuring that for a spring festival, neutral was probably for the best. Attending with Harrison Bagnold, Rosaline made sure that he has a coordinating tie.

HARRISON BAGNOLD is THIRTY-TWO YEARS OLD and an AMBASSADOR for the INTERNATIONAL CONFEDERATION OF WIZARDS at THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC. He looks remarkably like MAX IRONS and considers himself alligned with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. He is currently OPEN.
TW: death, murder, mind control
→ OVERVIEW:
Born to MILLICENT BAGNOLD and RUTHERFORD BAGNOLD, Harrison had a spotlight on himself from the second he took his first breath. At the time his mother was an influential figure in The Ministry whilst his father’s magical invention business was soaring, bringing in enough wealth for their middle-class lifestyle. As soon as Harrison was old enough, he was shoved into a tuxedo and dragged to all the events that his parents would attend. He would have much rather been at home sorting his wizarding card collections but his parents explained that the key to life was networking and if he didn’t attend events with them they’d have to pay for a nanny which was just utterly unnecessary. It wasn’t until much later in life that Harrison began to enjoy said events. He realised that his parents were important people and this made him just as important. He began to see himself as equal to the other high-class kids that attended these events but that didn’t last long. It was when the Malfoy’s held a Ministry event at their residence that he realised he wasn’t like the others at all. They weren’t as rich, they didn’t have a staff of House-Elves nor did they have elaborate and ornamental mansions as a home. Harrison felt embarrassed, ashamed to not have the same luxuries as his friends. It was at this point that the lying started.
Harrison would lie about his family's wealth for years to come. He’d hold himself high like a nobleman and would try his best to ‘fake it till you make it’. His parents would attempt to buy his love and he took advantage of this, asking for the top of the range items that all his friends had. Harrison’s relationship with his parents only became worse when BOOKER BAGNOLD was born. He felt bad for his brother, that he had been brought into this harsh family. That’s when his parents failed him yet again and gave Booker more love and affection than Harrison had ever received. From that moment he learnt that he needed to grow a thick skin to be happy in life and began to fend for himself, always finding a way to get what he wanted. Once at school he tried to surround himself with friends that would love him more than his parents did. His first friend in Hogwarts was FRANK LONGBOTTOM but it wasn’t long before Harrison decided that he needed to make new friends, ones with more social influence. He began to climb the social ladder, attending as many parties as he could without thinking too much about his grades. Harrison began to spin a web of lies. He didn’t see anything wrong with them, after all, he had started to almost believe them himself. Perhaps if he just went with them, he’d speak them into existence? Being a Gryffindor came with its perks, including the massive common room parties where Harrison met his soon to be best mates, BILLIUS WEASLEY and TIBERIUS MCLAGGEN. The lads all had similar interests in mind, partying and snogging. They formed a tight friend group and soon were barely seen away from each other’s sides.
Harrison came to terms with his sexuality over the next couple of years. He realised he wasn’t straight when he formed an undeniable crush on RHYS ROBARDS. He refused to act upon it and believed that it would just go away over time, which it did. However, that didn’t stop future crushes on men forming, crushes that turned out to be more fruitful than his first. He was hesitant to tell his mates, concerned that they’d treat him differently. He had no idea how to even explain his on-and-off feelings to them because he didn’t even understand them himself. He found himself approaching a close friend, HESTIA JONES about his sexuality first. Hestia had been there for him throughout the years, a solid friend that would tell him that he was out of line without hesitation. Whilst he didn’t always follow her suggestions, he definitely appreciated them. Bill and Tiberius only found out about his fluidity when they caught him snogging someone in the showers in their final years at Hogwarts. They were extremely supportive of him and this gave Harrison the closure he needed to be sure of himself yet again. And although Harrison had played the romance game for most of his life, flirting with whomever he wanted, he had never been in a serious relationship before, some would even say he was afraid of commitment.
Throughout his Hogwarts career, Harrison proved himself to not just be good at making friends, but adversaries as well. EDRICK SELWYN was a Slytherin student who was overly competitive and Harrison thought it would be fun to challenge him. What simply began as a friendly duel to Harrison turned out to be a rivalry that would follow Harrison through school and with him to his career at the ministry. Harrison had been given the position as an Ambassador for the International Confederation of Wizards and whilst this allowed Harrison to travel around the wizarding world, he reported to non-other than Edrick’s father, HARRELSON SELWYN. Whilst Harrelson seemed to be close to Harrison’s mother, he had taken a disliking for him which could have only been the doing of Edrick, or perhaps it was Harrison’s arrogance. When Booker joined The Ministry things changed for Harrison. He had never felt responsible for his brother, after all, his parents were always looking out for him, but as soon as he began work at the ministry, Harrison felt the need to look out for him. When their mother became Minister for Magic, a sense of relief washed over Harrison. He had been lying for so long about their family’s wealth status that it felt good to be true at last. It was at this stage in his life that he met the lovely CAMILLE ROWLE during a photoshoot for the Minister and their family. Despite Harrison’s initial efforts, Camille was playing the long and hard game. He wasn’t used to not getting what he wanted and found the challenge enjoyable.
All Hallows Eve in 1982 was one of the worst nights of Harrison’s life. Due to a heated argument over a petition that Booker had started, Harrison disarmed Booker. Later that evening Booker was murdered which threw Harrison into guilt. He blamed himself for his brother’s death as if he hadn’t taken Booker’s wand, perhaps he would have been able to defend himself better. The next couple of months was a dark time for Harrison. However, thanks to his friends, he managed to climb out of his rut and CHARITY BURBAGE approached him with a proposition which gave Harrison a new direction in life. The two of them discussed how they could potentially carry on Booker’s legacy by taking his petition and continuing the fight for creature equality. Harrison attended the Yule Ball later that year and despite Yule not feeling the same without his brother, he had a great time. Well, at least until he was placed under the Imperius curse by someone unknown to him. Being under the curse was agonising. It felt like he was watching a television show or sitting in the back seat of a car whilst watching someone else drive recklessly. A voice whispered over and over in his mind that no thoughts of his own could form. In a way, it felt like Harrison was drowning in somebody else's thoughts, words and emotions. Before he knew it, his own flesh and bones felt a rage towards anyone he knew to be a creature and the first person that crossed his vision just so happened to be JONATHAN REEVES.
Harrison followed Jonathan (who was actually SILAS CRUMP in disguise) and Jonathan’s secret girlfriend, sacred Twenty-Eight darling ROSALIE FLINT into a private room. He then watched as his own hand pointed his wand at Jonathan and cast a killing curse at the man. Rosalie valiantly dived in front of the curse, killing her instantly. Silas knocked Harrison unconscious during the confusion that followed and fled the scene with Rosalie’s body. It wasn’t long until PATRICIA RAKEPICK found Harrison after hearing the commotion. Instantly recognizing that something was wrong with the man, Patricia called on Hestia for help. The two of them realised that Harrison was under a curse and helped him to the Order of the Phoenix Headquarters at the Fountain of Fair Fortune. After notifying PROFESSOR DUMBLEDORE, the Order began to work on freeing Harrison from the curse. When the curse was lifted, Harrison remembered nothing from whilst he was under the curse, only feelings and emotions. He had more questions than answers and after a long conversation with Hestia and ALASTOR MOODY, he understood exactly what the Order of the Phoenix was and what they stood for. Intrigued and fueled by a sense of duty to make things right for Booker and prevent further attacks on creatures. Combining the two, Harrison came up with the idea of a creature protection programme which would be run by the order and provide a safe haven for those creatures that were on the run from THE DARK LORD and felt unprotected by the ministry’s exclusive laws.

“i’d like to thank you both for taking the time to speak with me today,” he began as the pair sat down. “i’m sorry for your loss, harrison and i hate to make you go through this again, but i’m just needing to establish some information that’s murky from my point of view.” rodolphus hated to think it, but it was a possibility that a killer was seated in front of him – as much as he didn’t want to think such a thing, anything was a go. even with his beliefs, he needed to keep himself in a somewhat neutral to positive light towards camille and harrison and not give light to his thoughts. after hundreds of hours spent in court, he was proficient at keeping a straight face and wasn’t concerned. the waitron placed their cocktails on the table and rod took a small sip, continuing on. “what i’m trying to do is catch the person who murdered your brother and i’m not convinced as of now that it was bellatrix. so i’d like for you to tell me how the wand ended up with each of you and it’ll stay between us.”

YULE BALL EDITION - 15th JANUARY 1983
Where do I begin? The Yule Ball was definitely less dramatic than All Hallows Eve, but when the entrance fee includes free alcohol drama was bound to unfold. Generally, when it comes to getting drunk on cheap champagne we tend to allow our hearts to drive us. JAMES POTTER was one of the first to let it go to his head. To say that he had an eventful night would be an understatement. It seems like he has overcome his obsession with redheads (to LILY EVANS delight I’m sure) and has diversified his selection pool. Not only was he seen baking biscuits with NARCISSA BLACK the week before, but he was also spotted entering the wizard’s bathroom with EDWARD TONKS with his pants around his ankles. Considering that the two men came out with different trousers on, whatever went on there must have been so steamy that they couldn’t see who’s pants were who’s. Two down, a few to go. James then found his way to EDGAR BONES. Sure, sometimes a kiss means nothing like the kiss that LUCIUS MALFOY and AMELIA BONES shared whilst trapped under enchanted mistletoe. However you could see literal sparks fly as these two allowed their lips to embrace. Obviously Edgar’s kissing skills must be horrid as James was then later seen trying to make out with CLARICE FARIBAULT. Dearest James, I hate to burst your bubble but not everyone wants to kiss that mug of yours hun.
Speaking of kissing skills, MARLENE MACKINNON thankfully refrained from kissing anyone which has apparently resulted in one less person dying than last time. Even RABASTAN LESTRANGE must have some skill with those lips, how else would he have managed to convince AUGUSTUS ABBOTT to hold his hand and dance with him? This debacle hasn’t seemed to sit well with Augustus’s friends. SAOIRSE MACMILLAN was seen exiting the pavilion in a rush and was shortly followed by Augustus who just couldn’t keep up. Whilst Edward Tonks, had other plans for the party. Not only was he seen arguing with Rabastan, no doubt over Augustus, but he was also spotted cosying up with ANDROMEDA BLACK. The two of them returned from a break outside, suspiciously smelling of smoke and cheap cologne. Although the two would make an adorable couple, I can’t help but wonder if Narcissa knew about that since she also seemed to be getting her fair share of Ted that evening. But “Rita, the Black siblings, pining over someone like Ted? Surely I have my facts wrong?” I tell you beloved readers, I witnessed these events for myself! Either this generation of the Black family have decided to disregard tradition and break free from their parents grip like SIRIUS BLACK had, or there was some serious foul play at work. Perhaps Narcissa was simply distracting Edward whilst her cousin REGULUS BLACK was up to no good or cleaning that ridiculous crown he wore.
Speaking of the Black sisters, what was even more interesting and out of character was that Bellatrix left the ball without a stolen wand in her hand or in handcuffs. I suppose it’s good to have a change now and again, it keeps us all on our feet. Bellatrix was rumored to have spent the night with a Half-Blood, who I’m guessing was SEVERUS SNAPE. Snape was also blamed for hexing Jame’s pants but if you ask me it was James who just couldn’t keep them on. Bellatrix then left the ball in a hurry and was soon followed by Rabastan who abandoned Augustus at the ball. Poor Gus, breaking all those friendships just to be ditched at the end of the night. Hun, if you ever need someone to take you home, you know how to find me, x. Speaking of being ditched, HARRISON BAGNOLD was seen running from HESTIA JONES and towards the back wings of the pavilion. Merlin only knows what Hestia did to deserve that and someone should tell PATRICIA RAKEPICK that Harrison is trouble before she decides to have another intimate conversation with him. It seems Patricia wasn’t the only Gryffindor alumni making bad choices. ALICE YEN was also seen arguing with Rabastan that evening. Perhaps if these Aurors paid more attention to things, ROSALIE FLINT might have never gone missing. Who knows what happened there but that’s a story for another article.
All in all, I had a lovely evening and was graced with many beautiful faces including HENRY GRIFFIS who could have taken me home but had his mother’s arm around his instead. I hope that everyone had a good evening and that all my readers got home safely after the event! It seems that the nights are growing colder and our streets darker despite winter coming to an end. As always, my owlery is always open and if anyone has anything they’d like to share or if there’s anything that I missed, I gladly respond to anonymous owls in my daily column. xoxo

location: The March for Equality, Diagon Alley with: @foolgraves
The noise of the crowds was deafening. Charity and Benji had wanted chaos and that was most certainly what they had gotten. Screams and cries erupted from every person around her, some calling for peace, some calling for justice for Crump, others demanding the real killer be found for Booker Bagnold. As another plaquard passed her with the image of her close friend moving on it, Hestia felt her heart break slightly. It was the photo she’d seen so many times in the press, his forced smile from the Halloween ball that broke into a genuine one as the photographer made him laugh. She missed him and she missed Harrison. The normality they had and the shared experience only the three of them understood of being the children of people who loved their jobs more than them. Every time she saw his photo she heard him laugh and a sly comment leave his lips and it hurt more and more whenever she allowed herself to think about it.
A great force from behind her knocked Hestia off balance, the realisation coming over her that in her brief exploration of her emotions she had stood still in the crowd and let the world pass her by. She had taken her eye off the ball for just a moment, but it was actions like that which had gotten people killed. Her gaze suddenly focused on a woman standing to the left of the protest, stood on what was left of the cobbled pavement and stating down at the protest with a similar expression to that one Hestia had likely been wearing. Horror. Snaking her way through the crowds, Hestia was off like a shot trying to reach and get into her eyeline to see what had caught her attention. “Are you alright?” Hestia asked, with a comforting hand tentively rested on Rosalie Flint’s arm.

tw: murder; medical injuries, death
☆ REPORT ENTRY #1:
According to witnesses, Booker Bagnold fell to his death during the All Hallow Evening Ball. Marlene McKinnon was first on the scene soon followed by Harrison Bagnold and others. The Autopsy report suggests that the laceration were caused by a werewolf and after cross checking the registry and attendance book, all signs pointed towards Silas Crump, a previously convicted werewolf with an ongoing murder case. Silas Crump is still at large.
It’s important to note that Booker Bagnold’s wand was missing and found on Bellatrix Black but with further investigations it was found that Harrison Bagnold had been in position of Booker Bagnold’s wand after an argument between the brothers.
☆ REPORT ENTRY #2 - NEW ENTRY:
Firstly it is important to take note that ‘Silas’ might be an alias as there are no records of a ‘Silas Crump’ leaving America or entering England. Common fraud is suspected. Secondly, it is important to note that the murder of Booker Bagnold is now the first creature attack in a chain of two attacks with a possible third attack on the horizon.
Multiple sources have concurred that there is something that just does not add up and that there might be someone else, something else at play here. It is possible that someone is trying to paint a negative image of the creatures that form a vital part of our society. It is possible that Booker’s death was caused by a spell rather than a werewolf and this line of investigation is being followed.
Lastly, an outsourced agent is currently tracking down Silas and is close to finding Silas or a new possible suspect. For the agents safety, they will remain anonymous but will here-forth be referred to as the ‘agent’.
☆ NEW EVIDENCE:
- None
☆ SUSPECTS:
- Silas Crump. - Someone who clearly wanted to frame Silas or paint a negative image of the creatures
☆ LEADS:
- Amelia Bones is currently hot on Silas’ trail. - Interview the coroner who called Booker’s cause of death. - Wait for Fabian’s research.

To say Regulus was stressed was likely to be an understatement. He was not accustomed to failure and the night of Yule Ball felt like doubly that. He had let down not only his friends but also the Dark Lord and Bellatrix. The man he had placed under the imperious curse had disappeared (and Regulus was not certain whether he was still under the curse or not) and two days ago the news had reported a missing person from the Ball. And it wasn’t Harrison Bagnold. No, she was Rosalie Flint, a pureblood.
It couldn’t be connected, Regulus told himself, but then again, what were the chances of that? Please let it be coincidence... Merlin, please let her disappearance not be connected! It was a tremendous fear to have on his shoulders and his sleep was suffering for it.
Today should offer some distraction from these worries, Regulus hoped, as he made his way over to Brideswater, where his cousin Narcissa resided. They were to have a morning together to discuss the gossip they had overheard at the Yule Ball. Potentially a bit of a celebration for his upcoming birthday. He was dressed immaculately to make up for the slight bags under his eyes, robes dark as the night with shimmering constellations that sparkled.
“Cousin,” Regulus smiled, upon greeting Narcissa, placing a kiss on each cheek. Her presence was a balm to his concerns and fears.  “It is good to see you. I’m afraid I do not have as much as gossip as I would like.”

Set: The Ministry, the Monday after the Yule Ball, early evening With: @edgar-bones
Alice was becoming more and more frustrated as the days went on. She felt useless. She was supposed to be a respected Auror but everywhere she turned she ran in to a brick wall. She was sure Bellatrix was behind the incident with Harrison, but how did she prove it. Yet again Bellatrix was several steps ahead of her. She hadn't yet found out anything useful on her for Dumbledore and she hadn't found anything to link her to Harrison. Why was it the Bagnold's specifically that were being targeted? Was it a message to the Ministry? Was it just a coincidence? Why couldn't she find an answer to a single one of these questions. Alice took her frustration out on the papers laid out on the desk, giving them a hard shove across the room. It wasn't until she looked up she'd realised someone had seen her tantrum. "Sorry" Alice apologised immediately "bad day- is there something you needed?" She ran a hand nervously through her hair. She didn't like being caught off guard like this, especially in front of someone like Edgar, who by all rights she should've been a role model to.

— she is best described as ;
All the CLASS of an aged IRISH WHISKEY in a CRYSTAL cut glass with the POWER it packs when it touches your THROAT. She is pure STRENGTH, a DEPENDABLE & STURDY figure COLD like a STATUE & just as difficult to push down. She has taken the LAW into her two CAPABLE hands & handles it with CARE & ATTENTION without a single QUIVER. But deep in her eyes is the PAIN & SUFFERING only those who have experience true LOSS will know, though the only eyes to see it are her OWN within a REFLECTION.
— her story starts with ;
Born in a small cottage in Killarney, Millicent had no idea what lay ahead of her. The village was small and was mostly overgrown, a place where sorcerers go to retire. Her parents owned a simple antique bookshop and led simple lives, never leaving the village unless absolutely necessary. Regardless of this quaint upbringing, Millicent’s spirit refused to be contained and leapt at any opportunity that would mean freedom. Ambitious, dedicated and intelligent, she was soon sorted into Ravenclaw in record time when she arrived at Hogwarts, where her fellow housemates would only push her to be better, be greater. At heart, Millicent was a perfectionist, and thus pushed herself beyond her boundaries constantly. She never shied away from a challenge, taking on extra assignments and proving that she was right when she was questioned, even by professors. This, of course, gained her a reputation as a girl that was bossy. Millicent would argue if boys in her class were as forward thinking as her, would they be called the same, or perhaps if she were from sacred twenty-eight families. When she had an opinion she aired it, no matter how much it made the likes of Abraxas Malfoy roll his eyes. Growing up, there had not been much diversity amongst leaders and thus their world reflected the view of those in power.
There were lots of pure-blood men and not just pure-blood men, mostly sacred twenty-eight or adjacent. Millicent realised that in order to be respected like those who had been elected, she’d have to act like one, but try and not lose herself in the process. She began watching those who wielded power and how they managed it, Horace Slughorn, CIRCE GREENGRASS [acquaintance], anyone she deemed successful or someone who influences others around them. She took down notes of how to act like them, how to dress like them. Millicent began holding herself differently and the older she got the more conviction she had in the way that she spoke. Milicent knew she was intelligent, she knew that one day she would be somebody very important and not because of her last name, her blood type or how much money her family had. When she got to the top it would have been because she deserved it, and damn did she know she did. Unlike many young people fresh out of Hogwarts, Millicent was sure of herself and that alone made her excel quickly in her political career. Whilst not making many friends in Hogwarts due to her academic-oriented mindset, she had made a connection with Rutherford Bagnold, a Gryffindor boy who admired her courage and determination.
Both career-orientated, with Millicent working as junior undersecretary to the Minister for Magic and Rutherford in the magical invention industry, they understood one another and respected their desire to climb to the top. During her position as junior undersecretary, Millicent learnt another valuable lesson, that time was valuable and that it should not be wasted on unnecessary questions or conversations. She began to build an encyclopaedic knowledge of the ins and outs of the Ministry and along with her perfectionism, she began to run a tight ship. It wasn’t long until she received a promotion to senior undersecretary. She loved her job, and sure, she was the second-best to a man, but she had gone further than she could have hoped for and already had an impressive influence over the Ministry staff. She attended meetings and press conferences with Harold Minchum, the Minister for Magic at the time and learnt everything she could from him. It was at this point where she finally felt comfortable enough to start a family. It wasn’t long until Rutherford proposed, they had a fairytale wedding that pleased both families present in Ireland. The newly-wed couple moved into a house in Wimbledon and gave birth to their first son, HARRISON BAGNOLD [son].
As much as Millicent loved Harrison, she found being a parent difficult. For the first time in her life she had something other than her work to focus on, even with her husband he looked after himself. Harrison needed her in a way that no one ever had and although she wouldn’t admit it openly other than to Rutherford, Millicent struggled in her early years as a mother, trying to tend to her job and her family and do the best she could at both. Rutherford took the brunt of the parenting when Millicent went back to work when Harrison was two, she longed to be with him more and wondered if he’d have turned out different if she did. But Millicent knew her task and her dream were bigger than Harrison, she wanted to be the Minister for Magic to make the world a better place and that better place she desired a little bit more after her son was born, because she wanted it better for him and for her grandchildren. By the time Millicent had her second child BOOKER BAGNOLD [son], her outlook on parenting had somewhat changed. She was harder on herself with Harrison and harder on him as a result, she wanted him to be perfect and for her parenting to be perfect but when Booker came along she wanted something else, for him to be happy and for their family to be as well.
In free periods she’d take the boys to Quidditch matches and gave Booker the freedom he needed away from Millicent’s work events, the same events that Harrison now attended by choice, standing by his mother’s side, a well-spoken little gentleman that made her very proud. What felt like a couple of years passed quickly and soon Booker was attending Hogwarts too. The couple quickly adapted to their children not being at home again and threw themselves back into work, which quickly paid off for Millicent. She was promptly promoted to Advisor to the Minister for Magic. It was at this point that small cases of missing sorcerers started popping up, a trend formed and Harold Michum decided to allocate an Auror team to investigate the disappearances. What she didn’t know was that this issue would soon become hers. In 1980 Millicent was appointed Minister for Magic. Her carefully orchestrated plan had worked and well placed friendships voted her into power. Harold’s legacy had been that he had run a tight ship, however all those that had known Millicent knew that it had been her ship all along. She had proved all those that had doubted her wrong and more importantly, proved to herself that she was capable of achieving her dreams and more as long as she put her mind to it. In 1980 she became the Minister for Magic, Millicent knew that her time wouldn’t be straight forward, but she didn’t know difficult it could be.
In 1983, Millicent lost her youngest son, forced to watch as his body was fished out of the fountain in her workplace whilst her husband and eldest child screamed and cried with grief. Millicent has never truly recovered from that event. All she wanted to do was retreat into bed with her husband and grieve the loss of her child, but she was the Minister and the people needed her to lead. She had not thought much about creature control until Booker had died, it had never felt like a real issue, though her son had brought it to her attention several times with his position. It was a cruel irony that it was a werewolf that had killed her son, when all he wanted was to protect them. With the help of ALICIA AVERY JONES [colleague] Millicent had the entire weight of the auror’s office thrown behind finding her son’s killer, but people kept going missing, getting attacked or dying. ROSALIE FLINT [person of interest], INES MORENO [person of interest], BENJY FENWICK [person of interest], AMELIA BONES [person of interest] one after the other. Some days it was too much to cope with. Then the alley attacks happened. She knew it wouldn’t make her popular amongst some, it might even cost her some votes, but Millicent knew this was a problem that had gone far enough and now she was going to tackle it the only way she knew how. Head on.

Where: Diagon Alley Who: @padfoot-chaos
With the words of the paper still dancing around in her head, Bella knew she had to do something to escape her thoughts. Of course she had settled on heading to a bar or at least out somewhere she could get herself a very strong drink. She was still dealing with the aftermath of the mission, not being able to located Harrison Bagnold, and the cerry on top was Rita Skeeter’s stupid gossip column revolving her family’s standards slipping. Yes, she really did need a drink. The brunette had turned to make her way to her favorite bar when she noticed her path blocked, her train of thoughts disappearing quickly at the familar face of Sirius, “I didn’t think this day could get any worse. What do you want?”

DORCAS MEADOWES & HARRISON BAGNOLD || @suchadorcas & @harrisonbagnold
Dear Miss Meadowes,
In light of the events that took place in the late hours of Sunday 31st October and the early hours of Monday 1st November 1982, the Ministry have requested a full investigation into the death of Booker Bagnold (ID NUMBER 9426005). The Department of Magical Law Enforcement are currently holding Bellatrix Black (ID NUMBER 8831003) in custody in relation to the crime pending further investigation.
The Ministry would be greatful if in light of the evidence that you conduct further interviews with Harrison Bagnold (ID NUMBER 8732005). The Department of Magical law Enforcement are now in posession of press photography taken for the event which shows the elder Mr Booker handling the younger Mr Bagnold’s wand before his presumed time of death.
It is the view of the Ministry to take this current case to trial and review all pieces of evidence in our posession thoroughly. We ask your absloute discression in this matter and that interviews commence effective immediately. Any evidence found should be passed to Senior Auror Alastor Moody who will laise with me further on the case thereafter.
Kind regards,
Alicia Avery-Jones
Head of the Auror’s Office.
Engage in a thread with Harrison Bagnold questioning him further on the events that took place at the Halloween Ball. Paying close attention to where he was at the time of Booker Bagnold’s death and how he accquired the wand.
Although Bellatrix is in custody she had not yet been convicted due to a lack of evidence, it may be helpful to gain an albi from Harrison or any information he may have on Booker’s death and his possible involvement in his passing.
When you have finished your questioning please write your findings up in a self paragraph as a letter to Alastor Moody. This must be completed by Saturday 22nd November, 8PM GMT.

BREAKING NEWS - MISSING WITCH RETURNED HOME UNHARMED AS SEARCH FOR CRUMP CONTINUES
12 January 1983
KINTBURY, BERKSHIRE - The Flint family are overjoyed today as their missing daughter returns home. Twenty-six-year-old Rosalie Flint disappeared after attending the annual Yule Ball festivities held at The Crystal Pavilion on Friday 24th December, an eye witness recalled seeing Miss Flint leave the ballroom floor with an unidentified man before vanishing without a trace. Her mother Lotte Flint reported her daughter missing on Saturday 25th December after Miss Flint failed to return home in the early hours as was expected. Her return concludes a nineteen day search for the missing witch. The Flint family have been very vocal about the disappearance of their youngest daughter, inviting media into their homes to discuss Miss Flint and drum up support from the public to help find their missing daughter. Miss Flint’s brother Decius Flint, 30, has been one of the lead voices in the search for his sister, handing out fliers around the country and speaking publicly until she was found this morning. “We’re so overjoyed she’s home,” Mr Flint told The Daily Prophet. “We are never letting Rosalie out of our sight ever again, she is truly so special to us all,” Mr Flint continued. “My sister and I are incredibly close, I don’t know what I would do without her.”
Miss Flint’s disappearance remains puzzling for the Ministry. According to a source in The Department of Magical Law Enforcement who wishes to remain anonymous, Miss Flint was found in her bed in the early hours of Tuesday morning with no idea how long she had been missing. “It’s all a bit strange if you ask me,” our source told The Daily Prophet. “I think she must have been knocked out or something, stinks of that Silas Crump. In the current climate she’s lucky to be alive.” Despite our insider believing notorious werewolf Silas Crump, 38, is to blame for the disappearance of Miss Flint, the Ministry are not prepared to comment further on if they believe Mr Crump snatched away Miss Flint over two weeks ago. “We are so pleased Miss Flint has returned home to her family safely,” Head of The Auror’s Office, Alicia Avery-Jones said today in a statement to the press. “The Ministry are doing all that we can to keep the British wizarding public safe but we are asking everyone to remain on guard and stay alert. We have our most esteemed Aurors working on the Crump case and can confirm he will not remain at large for much longer. The Ministry, Wizarding Britain and it’s leadership remains safe and stable.”
The Daily Prophet requested further information on the Crump case including if the Ministry had any further leads or had located the whereabouts of the Minister’s eldest son Harrison Bagnold, 32, who has not been seen since Miss Flint went missing. Representatives for Mrs Avery-Jones and Minster for Magic Millicent Bagnold declined to comment.

closed for @luhpxns and @starryeyxdmckinnon
frank never really possessed a wandering mind. one thing he was good at was keeping a clear head and focusing on the task at hand. however, at this moment, it was proving quite difficult for him.
harrison and frank weren’t close but still – frank considered him a friend. the pair were mates when they started at hogwarts but drifted as the years went on, he supposed. frank could only partially understand what harrison was going through. being only six when his father died and having the emotional range of a teaspoon, frank didn’t really feel the full impact of the loss. the man composed himself, standing up straight in a manner that demanded respect. frank made his way over to a familiar face – a somber, serious look upon his features. “remus,” he greeted. “marlene mckinnon – follow me.” frank led the two to an empty room not far away, gesturing for the two of them to take a seat while he remained standing. “i’d like for each of you to tell me how familiar you are with booker bagnold.”

Little Brother
An exploration of how Harrison felt when the news hit him that his younger brother had died. || tw: death; tw: blood; tw: suicide mention; tw: dead body
Harrison had returned to his spot at the bar, his hair a mess and his make-up smudged. It was clear that he had been in a fight not that long ago; a fight that had an ending that made him sick to his core. He felt his hands shaking as he ordered a drink, blood still staining his knuckles despite his multiple attempts to clean them. He quickly covered them as best as he could with his sleeves. He picked up the drink and moved to find Camille. He had asked her to look after Booker’s wand while he freshened up in the restroom. This had only led to him punching the bathroom wall out of anger and frustration instead of making himself look presentable again. His thoughts kept flickering back to Booker’s attack on him and Harrison disarming him, taking the wand and leaving in a fit of rage. The last thing he wanted was Booker casting some curse or hex on him or attempting to fix the petition hence why Harrison had decided to look after Booker’s wand for now. He was walking through the crowd when he heard the first scream, which was shortly followed by another. Confused yet alarmed, Harrison’s adrenaline took over as he pushed through towards the screams, wand ready in his hand for whatever the issue may be. As he pushed through and neared the fountain, the sight of the water running red sent chills up his spine and a his stomach felt heavy with dread. ‘Could it be Booker?’ was a thought that sprinted through his mind. ‘Would he jump after what I did?’. Sure, burning the petition would have caused Booker to be livid, which he was, but would it have sent Booker off the literal edge?
He was now at the edge of the fountain, a body was floating as one or two people made their way towards it. “No...” was the only word that slipped past his lips as he recognised the stupid outfit that Harrison had commented on earlier. Before he knew it, his legs were carrying him through the water of the shallow fountain, he splashed and flailed as the resistance kept him from getting to the body, to Booker, as fast as he needed to. Someone had already turned Booker over by the time Harrison had got there, the sight of Booker’s still warm face making it seem like he was simply asleep, yet his eyes were open, staring soullessly up at the ceiling of the atrium. Harrison felt his whole body go numb, his mouth open, tears in his eyes. He dropped to his knees as his body went weak, water washing up against him and soaking in through his clothes, it’s cold embrace being the only thing keeping him tied to reality. He wanted to shout, to scream, to order someone to do something, to heal him. Perhaps the fear of losing his brother and living without him petrified him so much that he couldn’t move or perhaps it was because deep down, Harrison already knew that it was too late, that his friend, one of the only people he truly cared about, was dead. His little brother, was dead.
When that moment that seemed to last a life time finally ended, everything blurred. He had been ushered out the fountain and someone wrapped a towel over his shoulders as he was escorted away. An auror was now at his side, their lips moved as the spoke but Harrison did not hear a word. He was cast too deep in thought. Memories of Booker flooding in, memories from their childhood like Harrison teaching him how to tie his shoe laces, memories that were still to happen like Booker’s wedding and -- memories from that evenings fight, Booker vividly pointing out a void in Harrison’s life, the cruel words that he had spat at Booker ringing in his head, Booker’s plea to Harrison as he snatched the petition away from him and the pure hatred that was on Booker’s face as he casted bombarda at Harrison. He shook his head, trying to get the thoughts to leave his mind. Warm tears streamed down his face as the auror moved him into a room, a room which contained only a few people that Harrison recognised. Alicia Avery-Jones, his father and his mother, Millicent Bagnold. The despair on his parents faces must have matched his own as his mother rushed forwards to him, pulling him into a tight hug. A mother’s embrace should comfort you, it should tell you that everything was going to be alright, that despite all odds, you were safe in that moment. Millicent’s hug did not. As if a switch had gone off in Harrison’s mind, he stopped crying. Part of him had wished that his mother would be wailing, that her cries would echo that of a banshee, the other part of him knew that that was simply not who Millicent was and he was right. As he pulled away, she gentle caressed his check, wiping away a tear, before she told him to be strong, not emotional.
Perhaps it was the years of conditioning to be strong, to be proud, to be a Bagnold that had gotten through to him because before Millicent had even finished her sentence he found himself doing exactly that. He used this sleeves to wipe the tears from his face and took a deep breath. His eye met Alicia’s, whose gaze offered him sympathy and condolences and Harrison simply nodded in appreciation. He wasn’t sure what would happen next. Thought’s raced through his mind again, ‘What about everyone else at the party? What about the body? Did they know who did it? Was there any evidence? Evidence... the wand!’ His eyes widened. He had to find Camille, he had to find her now. If Alastor Moody discovered that Booker’s wand was missing and if they found Camille to be in possession of the wand, she’d be arrested and it would be Harrison’s fault. “I have to go!” He demanded as he rushed for the door. His parent’s and Alicia called out in protest but it was too late. Harrison had made up his mind and there was no changing it. He burst through the door and began to run down the corridor, back towards the main atrium, back towards where his little brother had died.
