Ok, I know the whole holiday thing is problematic and Christian dominance is major part of the interlocking systems we’re dismantling and these critiques are super valuable. And the pressure and navigations of this year are especially high voltage. And the stress unique to many queer and trans folks of converging with families of origin with complex histories, or not, and the meaning there, is quite a thing… Aaaaaand I admittedly freakin love Christmas. 🙋🏼‍♂️ I grew up with homesteader hippy parents in a rural 2 room cabin; we celebrated solstice but also Christmas in a cute, wholesome, cozy way, and, it gave me a taste of what I do longed for in those days, a sense of doing something “normal” mainstream families did 😂🤣 ahhh… kind of hilarious my early obsession with ‘normal’ and the myriad of ways I knew I wasn’t. Really, really grateful to have my Janeczek crew here wow 🌟 such a treat. Happy for these days together. . . Sending you all, dear ig loves, some radiance right now. ✨ Stay weird. However you do the next few days I hope you stay hydrated and get some good sleep, and do some things that help you feel nourished.
